Still waiting. No response.
I wrote to customer service three times over one month ago. I wanted to let them know that my French press carafe shattered when I poured hot water into it. It is not the glass carafe, but rather some sort of plastic.
I sent pictures and I sent at least two emails asking for response. Nothing.
I’ve always considered the Bodum name French press to be the best on the market, however, this customer service experience has certainly changed my mind. I do not recommend at all.

Bodum bistro electric coffee grinder
I bought my first bodum grinder in october 2021.. On january 10th 2024 it stopped working.. Would not grind anything.. No matter how much I cleaned it.
I expected the warranty would be expired so I bought a new one, exactly like the one I had in 2021
Once it arrived, I started grinding coffee. I grounded 1 cup off coffee beans when this grinder also stopped working.
I logged a ticket with bodum and they responded after about 2 weeks requesting videos
The videos were sent on february 6th 2024 and bodum sent a new grinder on february 20th 2024.
I tried to grind some coffee beans on february 27th 2024 and the grinder could not complete even 1 cup of beans and started giving an awful sound. When I checked it looked like a spring from somewhere in the grinder popped into the grinder chamber and stuck there

I received noted device for Christmas and took it out of packaging for the first time just now in order to grind some coffee. I placed a complaint 2-3 weeks ago about the above-named milk frother that is less than 1 year into its 2-year warranty. It stopped working after faithful service. I inspected the wiring in the plug-in base and the container base and found no visible burnt or disconnected wiring. I even used a 2nd and 3rd plug-in base from my 2 slightly older #11870 milk frothers but to no avail. I can send you a picture of the defective milk frother if you give me an email or textible address that accepts an iphone picture. The device I'm using (an old Macbook Pro) does not have a working camera. Please acknowledge this 2nd notice as proof that I have faith in your products and will gladly accept a new replacement. Thank you for your prompt consideration in this matter.

I ordered a bodum model 11870 from amazon on 2-8-2023
The above-named product suddenly stopped working in the pm (no electrical activation) yesterday, 1-31-2024. Earlier that am it was working fine. Changing numerous electrical outlets were unsuccessful. There is no visible water damage on base of container or electrical pad so suspect a defect in the wiring. My other Bodum of the same model is still working fine from an earlier purchase. My 3rd Bodum of the same model from a much earlier purchase in 2017 never stopped working but the interior base coating became pitted and missing in places so it was considered too damaged and unhealthy to continue using. I have tried calling your Customer Service # 212-367-8855 which is a FAX line NOT a landline, hopefully, this complaint will be acknowledged in a timely manner. Please note that this product has a 2-year warranty. Thank you.

Several attempts to reach customer service about a defective carafe
I have been reaching out since the beginning of November to report a defective carafe. It is not a glass carafe, but rather a plastic carafe. It cracked up the sides when I poured hot water into it. I sent pictures as initially requested but I have not had a response to the request. My first complaint was at the beginning of November and I have emailed several times and sent two messages as well on Instagram. Still no response.
I have never had this lack of response from a company ever!

Hello I believe there is a fault with this toaster as it takes several attempts to make the level to lock into place. Below is the most recent response I received from Bodum "Note: Sending in multiple emails will move your inquiry to the back of the queue and delay your response time".

Bodum BISTRO Electric Burr Grinder
I received a Bodum BISTRO Electric Burr Grinder a gift, no. 10903-3. I did not get a 12 oz bag of beans through it when it malfunctioned. Sounded like it was jammed. I contacted Bodum through their website and was told 'without a receipt we don't know if it is still under warranty'. It was a GIFT and that was sent to me. I do not have a receipt.
They requested I take a video and send it to them, which I did. I am also enclosing the video here. The beans unseen, are all that was left of the 12 0z bag of beans. Unfrozen beans

Bodum vacuum travel mug 0.35 litres
I purchased a Bodum travel mug from Amazon for my partner for Christmas. The first time he used it the lid was defective and wouldn’t secure properly. My family own many of these mugs and we have never had any issues so I was very disappointed to find this problem. I have been unsuccessful in trying to buy a replacement lid so his mug is not fit for purpose.

Misleading delivery times & lack of response
ORDER NO. [protected] 06/06/2023 made through your Polish website that states that ordered items will reach a customer within two days (which is rather standard in Poland, via for example Allegro).
There is never a mention that your items are coming from a different country. This is misleading, as customers may rightfully expect that the items are physically in a Polish warehouse. Only when the tracking number is sent, one can figure out that it’s coming from another country.
My two emails were not answered. The customer care is non existent. You truly have excellent products but the way you deliver them to customers is inexcusable.
It took a whole week for my order to reach me and by then I was vacationing in Vienna. I had to bother other people to pick my order up. It’s really not very professional to assure prospective buyers that a product will arrive in two days, and then take a week to actually get it to them.

Need to make a return, no reply for weeks
I made a purchase on Bodum.com. I received the items but found them to be low quality and unsuitable to my needs. I have been trying to return these items, but Bodum says you must have a return authorization number to complete the return. I have been waiting for Bodum to provide this number for over two weeks and haven't received it. Their US phone number is just an automated message saying to email them. They don't reply to emails and they don't answer their phone. Their first automated email to me says sending in multiple emails will move my request to the back of the queue. What kind of company is this? I have a 30-day window to return these items and have been waiting on Bodum for over half that window. I am beyond frustrated with this company.
I have never dealt with a company with such poor customer service (and I've dealt with Comcast!). I want this to be resolved as soon as possible.
Desired outcome: To return my items and receive a full refund.

I wanted to make an exchange: Same product, different size. No exchanges are allowed. You need to return the item with 10% restocking and shipping cost. In addition you are going to loose your coupon if you used it with your purchase. I tried to reach them couple of times and ask their advise how to use my coupon for exchange order. They never send me a reply. I strongly advise not to buy anything from their web site. Very annoying and time consuming process.
Cafetiere jugs cracked - no response from bodum
I bought two expensive cafetieres direct from Bodum in June 2021. By November one jug had cracked so much as to leak, and I emailed Bodum with a copy of the receipt and photo of the damage. No reply - so I emailed again. No reply - so I completed a form on their website. No reply. Now the second jug is cracking, and I called the phone number on the receipt - no reply. I'e spent £49 on two useless and overpriced items. Very frustrating.

There was no information on web site as to minimum amount of coffee that can be brewed plus there was no info avail on height of coffee maker plus there was no info stating that Bodum requires that the purchaser ay for return shipping. This item was totally misrepresented in their ad.

I have sent two requests, the first one -(164951), the second one -(170982) for help, and placed an order. I have received no response to either of my requests and, although the money has been taken from my credit card, no information about my order or when to expect it.
My requests are regarding an authorization number for a return or an exchange. Since not hearing from anyone, I placed a separate order for the item I wanted to exchange and included other items.

The second order arrived with no emails from Bodum. My only indication that the order was received was that the money was taken from my credit card. An enclosed packing list was all that came with the items ordered.

The only customer service phone number in Canada is a US number and I am not willing to also incur phone charges for this request.

HORRIBLE NEW MODEL DESIGN CHANGES
I have used an older version of Bodum model 11750 Electric Burr Grinder for couple years.
With daily use the motor has quit.
So, I ordered a new model 11750.
NOT THE SAME. New model has these deficiencies:
1. No timer, so now I have to pull out the scale every morning to weigh my 42 grams. (Not filling the hopper once a week.) Or, stand at the new grinder with a stopwatch to manually stop it.
In the old model once I set the timer at 15 seconds I could rely on perfect weight every morning with no adjustment.
2. Catch cup will not come off. I have to get a screwdriver to wedge it off. Fun, with the cup filled with loose grounds.
And the bottom corners are not rounded like the old machine.
And plastic instead of glass cup.
3. Grind Size Control wheel has been moved to the side instead of to the front as on the the old machine.
The wheel has no printed grind indicator contrast in color, just little small raised icons.
Old unit had white writing on a dark background. Hard to see, especially on the side of the grinder under a kitchen cabinet.
My wife and I use different grind sizes, so we change the setting daily. Aggravating.
4. No guides for measurement of water-to-bean guides for various brewing methods. The lid of the old model had this imprinted under the hopper lid. Very convenient.

My bodum French press no 11172 chambord coffee press borosilicate glass arrived today The glass was shattered. I would like a replacement as soon as possible. I don't know what else I can say. travel mug
Hello I purchased my travel mug a few months ago and I do not have the receipt but I can say it's the best travel mug I have ever used so much so I use it whilst in the house aswell unfortunately the water is getting inside the inner clear seal and now it's unusable as water goes all down u when u drink is there a fault with mugs as it was quite expensive and I can't afford to keep replacing them . 1 litre glass beaker
I recently purchased a Bodum Cafetiere online. It had a glass 1 litre beaker jug. Following washing carefully in a basin as usual when I was drying it the pouring recess broke - no excessive force was being used. It left a very sharp edge which was dangerous. I will include a photograph below.

travel mug
I purchased two Bodum travel mugs. In a short space of time one of the mugs had leaked so that there was liquid in between the two layers - that despite getting in there could not be drained out.
On complaining to the shop I purchased the mugs at, they advised that there were hairline stress fractures in the mug which may have been caused by my over tightening the mug. So my fault.
I find this a difficult explanation to accept. First I am a slight 60 year old lady with mild arthritis in my hands (so not exactly overtly strong). And I make the drinks and secure the top for both Bodum mugs I purchased - and the other Bodum mug I have purchased remains undamaged and in use.
I would appreciate a replacement mug as I consider there was a fault on purchase.

I purchased a bodum Bistro Burr Coffee Grinder from Amazon on July 13, 2023. I have repeatedly reached out to Bodum on their website and received mult. emails from customer support that someone would be reaching out to me, but no one has for 3 weeks. I wish to return the grinder for repair.
