Great customer service
I ordered an expensive black powder revolver from Budk about a month ago. I have no account, and ordered it as a guest. Well I got tired of waiting and checked the tracking #. There was problems with the shipping and the package got returned to sender, and I called customer service to sort out the issue. I called them on Friday, december 3, and on December 4, the very next day, I picked up my package from the post office. Great customer service.
Wonderful as always
I reveived my Fighter Knife in pristine condition as i always do with all if my orders from BudK. My only concern is the sheath i reveived doesn't seem to fit quite right as appears a few inches longer than the blade and the strap to button the knife into the sheath seems a bit short when the knife is inside. I called customer service and they are looking into it. Perhaps the leather has to stretch and acclimate as the weather is turning cold now even in Tucson.

Five dollar or less letter openers
I have bought a lot of various knives/daggers from BUDK. I call them letter openers because I would never trust my life with a five dollar blade. However the blades I have received have all been as advertised and make me wonder how they would perform under stress.
But for five bucks, they work fine for opening letters and packages - cutting string and such. Filled several drawers with 30 or so blades, so I am ready for the zombies.
I don't see how they make a profit selling at such low prices.
Great Stuff - Can't Stop Ordering / NEED THERAPY
Be careful, if you don't already collect sharp stuff and survival gear then you will get hooked and start a collection! Great Prices *(you get what you pay for, if you expect very high quality stuff, look at the high end priced stuff). Never had to try to return a damaged or bad quality item yet (knock on wood), so I can't comment much on Customer Service aside from a few minor financial/shipping issues that were settled quickly with satisfaction. I'd really like to know if the negative reviewers tried to reach out to CS about their issues before complaining here.
Excellent Service
I have made 3 purchases from BUDK/Kennesaw this month, 2 Naval Cutlass and 12 kitchen knives (8 don't tread on me knives and 4 fillet knives - they are the same thing in 2 different colors). Each of the 3 orders was mad quickly and I received exactly what I expected. Is the cutlass sharp enough to repel boarders? Hell no! It is a show-piece, not a weapon! But this one is 50 bucks where as the real CPO Navy Cutlass is 450 bucks, without engraving! By the way you guys, why don't you all just print and send one catalogue? Also, only send catalogue with purchase upon request.
Amazing Website, but Fedex Smartpost sucks - 4.5 stars
Great site & prices, especially on sale items. However, Fedex "Smartpost" lies about the delivery date and changes it all the time, causing havoc on scheduling. It was the free shipping option I was offered, and it took 9 days for my package to arrive to NY from GA. The way it works is Fedex transfers the package to USPS once it is close to the recipient, but USPS has terrible customer service. UPS is worse in terms of handling packages, so it really is picking the lesser of three evils. The standard shipping methods are pressumably better & I've been a customer for years so, 4.5 stars. Love the catalogues given with orders.
The Go-To Place
Like the title says this catalog and on line store is the go-o place for cutlery. The Bud-K catalog and on line store is top notch. Whether you are in the market for cutlery ranging from domestic/cooking knives to survival or self defense weapons out to exotic edged weapons, this is the place to go. I just placed an order on Tuesday, and it arrived 4 days later. Not the usual 7-10 working days (or longer) The order was professionally packaged, and the knife is of outstanding quality. (The M-48 cutlery line defines the standard) Prompt, courteous service, superb variety and reasonable prices. Too bad other business don't measure up.

Good items, good prices and great customer service
While some of their items are cheap, some of them are really good. The Shinwa swords are pretty good. They are cheap and pretty solid. I have cut through lots of cans of diet coke. The M48 stuff is good quality and also nice to the feel. Recently, I got a Shinwa sword which had a few small cracks in the blade. When I asked to return it, they sent me a return label (prepaid) within a few days. We had to call them, no hold or BS like that. The phone was picked up almost immediately. When I had questions, my E-mails where replied to within 10-20 minutes. Also, every few days, you can get free shipping too. I have saved HUNDREDS thanks to Budk. While I can mostly only stand up for their swords, the knife i got and the gas masks and sword carriers were also great. For all of them, they came in great working order and were $5-10 cheaper then they were on amazon. Shipping was FedEx which was OK. For the free shipping question, yes, assuming you make your purchase on the days where there is a free shipping code (every few days)

Well for the most part BUDK Wholesale has made me a fair amount of cash over the years. Mainly Bowies, Knucks, small items like sharpeners and Tactical Pens and such. However, This past Christmas Season BW decided to update my business info. They sent me a new application; Four pages and they wanted my EIN number from IRS. Just entering the number was not enough! I had to send a copy the official page from IRS. I did this 10 years ago when I started my business and they had to have it already. I have know idea where this original was after moving 3x in the 10 yrs. I called customer service and asked about entering the number and was told they needed the copy or the app. would be declined. Furthermore, My BUDK Wholesale acct. was frozen! I could not use it! On the busiest holiday of the year! So I called IRS and the operator who answered was very helpful and sweet. She was honest and told me it would take a few weeks to come. 26 days it took and I could not use my acct.at BUDK Wholesale! I asked why I wasnt given 30 days or so to give me time to get the copy, which seems fair. But NO... I received know help from BUDK W. only an email wanting updated information. This hurt monetarily my Christmas sales and customer service was heartless all around! To their credit they did give one final sale same day I called. But after that my account was frozen. When I did send the info they wanted it was restored that day. I hope this was useful to someone...

I didn't want to have to do this but it's about time I do.
I've ordered off of BUDK for over 10 years. They had the greatest customer service, awesome merchandise, and never made mistakes and if they did they corrected it with no problems. Over the last 3-4 years I've been making purchases every month, that's right every month. I collect but mostly resold and gifted stuff to friends and family. I've ordered from them for so long I know just about everybody there and they know me. I considered BUDK to be not only a great place to purchase cool stuff but also seeing some of them as good old friends. 10 years is a long time so it came naturally.
Starting around mid 2011 is when the NIGHTMARES began. Now these days the customer service is rude. I was actually yelled at for mistakes they've made. Sadly the majority of these people I've dealt with for years. They all suddenly turned two-faced. It takes a lot to get me upset or at least to show it but these people know how to push your buttons.
The reasons why BUDK is a horrible company:
ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION I
Was told I would get calls back/emails and never did.
Had the completely wrong orders sent to me.
Had my orders sent to another address.
Had orders missing a number of merchandise.
Had fragile items shipped with heavy items just to find the fragile items were destroyed.
Had parts fall out of box during shipping due to poor packaging.
Had orders placed that were never shipped but somehow was still charged.
Had items returned and had to fight for the refund.
I wish I was joking about this. As strange as it seems it hurts to have to do this but I'm tired of their games and constantly having to call them for their mistakes. I think it's safe to say after over 10 years with this company I am completely done with them. Goodbye BUDK.

I have ordered several times with this site and have had headaches about half the time.
The first time I ordered they cut the building number off the address so it did not make it. When I called (the rude) customer service they informed me all items would be resent.
When I got the shipment they did not include half the items and two calls later I got a refund on it but not the extra shipping I was charged since it was about half the order.
Still I gave them another try and it was another failure. I called and placed a order and again they cut the address off and my package did not make it and had to deal with (the rude) customer service again. I got free shipping and they resent it again. No sorry or anything.
A month ago I gave them one more chance. I called to get about $150 for a crossbow and a few other items and guess what... after the promised me no goof up they messed the address up again and did not ship another item that was out of stock but charged me the extra shipping.
I will take my money elsewhere unless I really need something. I gave them three strike's and they struck out.
I will update if anything changes.
UPDATE: I had to order something from them because it was out of stock everywhere and it was for some friends in town for a week or so. I ordered items labeled buy one get one free and they only sent the items I bought. They then told me it ended before and it was on the email. There is some very small font on the bottom that I needed to enlarge on my computer to see... deceitful and seems to be done on purpose.
The kicked is the bags and mask I bought are full of mold and rust... these can not be used.
This place is a joke. The product was awful, service was awful and they use some little tricks for false advertising. I will stick with keepshooting.com, centerfiresystems.com and cheaper than dirt. Rating dropped to one star.
One again, I will update if anything changes. I filed a complaint with the BBB and sent pictures of items. Let's see what they reply with.
One note, one of the girls was very pleasant over the phone. ONe was ok and two were awful. I will say the two did their best to help me.

My order never showed up on the sixth which was approximately two weeks after I submitted payment. I sent another email asking for a more accurate delivery date and a way of tracking my order. I was told by Kristie that BUDK can not provide a tracking number because of the USPS shipping type (Which is weird because that doesn't seem to happen for other companies), and that I should be receiving my order on the 12th(The day of filing this complaint) It is now the 12th and my order has not been delivered. BUDK has failed to fulfill their side of a deal and fails at providing adequate tracking of orders for their customers.

There is false advertising in the Mystery Box I ordered. The items were listed as "Scratched/Dented," but they arrived with broken handles and bent tips. Additionally, duplicates were sent instead of random items. I have ordered two Mystery Boxes, with a gap of about 3 or 4 months between them. The most recent order, Order# ***, was for a Mystery "Scratch and Dent" Box. It was supposed to include 4 swords that had minor damages. However, one of the swords had a completely bent tip, which is not a minor blemish. Another sword arrived with the handle broken off in two pieces. These are not minor defects.
Furthermore, the Mystery Box is falsely advertised as containing random pieces. However, many of us who have reviewed the product received the same Blue Sword set and Skull Sword Cane, both of which are of horrible quality but not scratched or dented. This indicates that they are simply trying to get rid of overstock by giving out these two items repeatedly. This takes away the mystery aspect of the box if we already know what items we will receive.
So, this was my experience with the so-called Wonderful, Random Mystery Box. I had received two items before that had no edge and were unusable. One of them had a bent tip, and the other was completely unusable. When I contacted customer service, they said I could send the items back, but I would have to pay for the shipping, which would consume most of my refund. All I wanted was a simple refund or a replacement Mystery Box, but instead, they expect me to spend even more money to return the items. This is truly outrageous.

I contacted bud k to be removed from their mailing list due to their support of the racist nazi loving faux strongman "president" trump. The agent was offended I guess that I would would not want to support this hate monger. When I asked to be removed from the list and gave my reason the agent told me I should be deported and that he would remove me, if only to place me on a list of terrorists. When I explained that I was in fact a citizen. He responded by telling me "not for long" and that "trump would deal with people like me".

fraudulent company
I have purchased three pocket knifes from www.budk.com. One was for me and the other two were presents.
It was said on their website that shipping takes approximately 24 - 48 hours. Two day after I made my order went online to check on my order and it said that my order was not even shipped. Customer service rep assured me everything was ok and I believed him.
My order arrived about three weeks later and when I opened the package I saw only one knife! When I contacted customer service they tried to assure me they sent all three! I tried to prove them that there were two knifes missing but they did not believe and one day they just stopped replying. I'm still trying to get some response from them but I'm not able to reach anyone.

I ordered knife from www.budk.com. My ordered was over $100, so I didn’t pay for the delivery, ‘coz the seller promised to deliver it for free, if the order was over $50. I paid with my card and got the confirmation email, but these jerks didn’t deliver my order. I sent them emails and called, but they tried to assured me that my order was delivered, but I haven’t received it. WTF? I asked to return my money, but they immediately stopped to communicate with me. Please, post comments about this company and their services.
