I've used Car Parts Direct before for some VW driveshafts and they were pretty good. So, I decided to order a wheel bearing for my Insignia and it fit fine, but the bolts were too long. I let them know and put the old ones back in. Then, I decided to order top mounts and bearings for my wife's Kuga. They were fitted with new shocks, brake discs, and pads in September. However, after only 3 weeks, suspension noises started and the car had barely done 90 miles. I thought it couldn't be the top mount bearing because they were new. I left it as it was too cold and I didn't have any money. But, the suspension started snatching, so I got some cash and dropped it off to a friend of a friend mechanic to look at in March. He phoned me 2 hours later to say that the wrong top mounts and bearings were supplied. He ordered me the proper ones, which I fitted myself, and they were totally different. Now, it's as quiet as a mouse. The ones from Car Parts Direct fell to bits after being on for only 6 months and 673 miles. It was too scary to use and I didn't have any money. The mechanic said it would have been noisy straight away if I had left the old discs on as everything was out of line. It seems like this has happened before, as I saw in another review. It's only cost me £140.60 for the mechanic's labor and £40 for the new parts, plus £40 for the wrongly supplied parts. But, it could cost you more. I'm expecting the "it wasn't fitted by a mechanic" excuse, even though I'm 52 and have been working on my own cars and motorbikes since I was 16. I recommend going to Euro Parts or GSF. At least if they give you the wrong part, they'll exchange it or give you your money back. If you want a mechanic report, just go somewhere else.
