I have been trying to use my account security benefits for 3 years with no results.
In 2019, my cardholder spouse was laid off. He had also become disabled and could not be employed during the 2-year disability claim process. I requested the forms to file for a benefit at that time, eventually received them, filled them out, and sent them in. I was then given a great deal of run-around regarding documents of proof, which I provided, but apparently, they were not adequate, and then communication stopped. Meanwhile, I have been paying into this coverage for at least a decade or more, and have no late payments. I have not even used the card in several years, and while I have been making payments on time each month, despite the struggle to do so, my balance continues to grow, because I can't afford to pay more than the minimum due.
I was laid off in March of 2020 due to the pandemic. The business was sold, and I was not hired back. I collected unemployment while I could, but that ended several months ago, and I am no longer qualified for that benefit. I have been applying for jobs and interviewing over the past year, but no luck so far, and it is becoming more and more difficult to pay. I called and requested a form again, and never received it, and once again months ago, and never received it. This is beyond the 4-6 weeks I was told it would take. I am beginning to feel I have been scammed. I am going to have to stop paying regardless of whether the coverage I have been paying for ever actually approves a benefit claim.
What's more, with the number of years I have been paying, I had to have exceeded the original full balance due by now (Minus interest and whatever other fees are being applied.) I would like Care Credit to accept that as payment in full, and then they (Synchrony/Care Credit) can collect from my account security coverage that I haven't been able to use. It should have been paid in full by now because it's been 3+ years since the hardship began, and I attempted to file initially. This is exhausting on top of the other hardships I am having.
It's unethical to be robbed and scammed because I needed dental care and I had to euthanize very ill/elderly pets over the years that I actually used this account.
Desired outcome: I would like Care Credit to accept the payments I have made on time over the last 10+ years as payment in full, and then they can collect from my account security coverage that I haven't been able to use.
CareCredit scam
My daughter was in a bad car accident. I called & told them to pay my card balance with auto debit. I owed around $6,000. I’ve never been late on a payment or paid interest. They failed to take the money out & I didn’t notice because we were at the hospital & had more important things to tend to there. They failed to take the $6,000 out and added almost $5,000 interest to my balance. They now refuse to do anything about it. I paid the nearly $10,000 but I have definitely been scammed. CareCredit should be ashamed. It was supposed to be $0 interest.
Desired outcome: 0% interest as promised
Account closed with out notice
Paying on a 10k balance on time each month to find out my account was close with out notice. Called 3 times with no resolve and not that much will become of this either as I see they have over 100 unresolved complaints. Kyle “a supervisor” was rude and all about a tough luck attitude. For your medical needs and cost I would advise seeking a loan shark in NY or Vegas before care credit
Desired outcome: Transparency and resolve
I made a mistake of paying with a closed account, as soon as I noticed it I made a second payment within 48 hours. It did happen twice, but in both cases they got paid right away. They closed my account and did not even have the decency of notifying me. I tried to talk to them and explain what happenned and was met with a brick wall, They will not reopen the account after 5 years of on time payments. No compassion or grace shown. We use this to pay medical bills, not for frivolous items, have some decency !

I am complaining about the practices of this bank.
Incident #1:
On April 25, 2022, I sent them a payment in the amount of $50.00 I have deferred interest for one year. My minimal payment was $48.00
Than I get a letter via email that the payment was not received. I called and told them that I sent the check, the amount and the check number. They told me they don't have the check. I told them I would issue another check and if the first one turn up, I will have a credit to my account. On May 12, 2022 I issue another check in the amount of $50.00. The late fee was waived on the first check, however, they changed interest in the amount of $3.52. Finally on May 18, 2022 both check in the amount of $100.00 was recorded as paid. The total interest was $7.24 for 2022 for a no interest card.
Incident #2:
I then noted that my supposed interest free card had reached the deadline and that the remaining balance would be at an interest rate of 26.99%. I decided to pay off the remaining balance of $1361.24 before the due date of June 10, 2022. Because I didn't trust them I sent the check via
certified mail on June 1, 2022. I then called them to make sure they got the check and representative told me they do not have the check and he didn't know where it was. I looked up the tracking number and saw that the check was picked up by a person on June 3, 2022 at the Orlando post office. I called them back and asked them where my check is. They said they did not know and in broken English the rep said he was "experite" this. I think he meant expedite. Again, he also told me nobody picks up checks from the post office in Orlando. I gave him all the information, i.e. check number, amount, certified tracking number. I then called again on June 7, 2022 because the check had not cleared my bank.
I spoke to Bill in Customer Service. Again, I asked if they had the check and when it will be posted as paid. Bill: "We have the check and it will be post when it's posted. I asked why it took from June 3 until June 7 with no posting. Bill: It will be posted when it's posted". I can't believe he was so rude.
I checked my bank account and the check cleared on June 8, 2022. I then called and cancelled my card altogether. They told me I could NEVER open another account ever.
Incident #3:
In May 2022, they sent me a Care Credit Rewards MasterCard. I DID NOT apply or order this or approve it. They sent the actual card waiting for activation. I called and asked why they sent this. They told me just i
ignore and don't activate it. I don't want cards sent that I did not order!
I feel they hold checks hostage to accrue late fees and interest thinking that the customer would not notice. I keep very good records and did notice. It is a waste of my time to have to call 3 times in this case and get rude customer service reps who are not truthful.
Desired outcome: I want the interest in the amount of $7.24 refunded to me. I would like an apology call from them. I would like to see them investigated as there are so many complaints. Of course I will never do business with them again. Thank you.
Usury
In June, 2020 I sought Dental Care at Dental Starz. I was referred to CARE Credit to finance the work I needed. None of which was cosmetic, but involved two crowns, and other work. I was given a credit line in the amount of $4800.00 from Care Credit. I obtained the dental work. And the dental office charged the Care Credit card for the work, on a couple of occasions. Since then, I have paid all of the payments as required by Care Credit. I have been paying nearly $200.00 per month for 24 months (Or $4800.00 to date!). Care Credit now says I owe them $5600.00! After 2 years of on time payments! Care Credit has no signed agreement with me, or disclosure proof.
Desired outcome: I would like CARE CREDIT to settle the account with me, in a reasonable amount, taking into account the moneys I have paid.
Absolutely none. No contact ever. This matter has not been addressed, let alone resolved.

BEWARE: I have had many credit cards and lines of credit throughout the years, but CareCredit are horrible! They trick you into signing up for their credit cards with an attractive introductory offer, then once the offer expires their percentage rates go through the roof! If you are only ONE DAY late on your monthly payment, they threaten you and lower your spending limit! Customer service is rude, cocky, and suck. I recently took out a debt consolidation loan just to pay off my debt balance with them and to be DONE with them, once and for all. I also destroyed my CareCredit card.

Closed my account for no good reason
I had a Credit Limit of $20,000 with ZERO BALANCE. I charged all my dental procedures and even for my pet's vet services. I managed to pay off $14k in about 2 years and have had NO late payments and brought my balance to 0. I've recently been a victim of identity theft after moving to a new place and someone got a hold of my SS# and opened up accounts on my name. Needless to say it lowered my credit score significantly, but I am dealing with it. I'm slowly getting everything cleared and the fact that Synchrony, whom I have a High-Yield Savings Account with by the way, closed my Care Credit with a 20k limit and 0 balance without even giving me some kind of notice or at least maybe just lower my credit limit or something..MADE MY SITUATION WORSE. This company gives ZERO "Care" about your "Credit. Forget that I was a very loyal customer and paid my debts on time EVERY month. Perhaps that's what made them mad--that they couldn't get anything out of me. Forget Synchrony altogether. I'm transferring all my funds to another account.
Desired outcome: Synchrony needs to check themselves and have better communication. Why would they close an account that never even once had a late payment.
I am being double charged on a purchase and being charged an interest on it
I filed a dispute 4 months ago on a charge that was double charged to my account on a transaction made a couple of years ago, and it is still showing as an expired promotional balance on my account. I am being charged an interest on this amount and I have been calling customer service every few weeks regarding this issue, and every time I called I was told that the dispute have been resolved and was found in my favor. Then why am I still being charged interest? Furthermore, my payments get allocated all over the place and every time I called, I am being told that I have expired promotional balances for different months and would have to pay it off or I would keep getting charged interest. I would spend 1-2 hours on the phone to go over my account and was told my account was clear and that it was a mistake and then I check my account a few weeks later and I see another interest charge! What does it take or who do I need to talk to so that I don’t have to call customer service every few weeks to adjust my account? I have never had to deal with this with any other credit card company.
Desired outcome: Fix my account so that I don’t have to call your customer service every few weeks.
App needs to allow me to manage my account or I'm deleting the app and just calling customer service.
Pointless to get the app. You can do everything you need to as a guest. ***IF YOU WANT TO PAYOFF A PURCHASE don't depend on the company to automatically take payments and it's all good. They scammed my mom like that AFTER I bragged about utilizing CareCredit. The app won't let you so it's basically pointless to have because you can't manage anything lol. You will need to call into customer service and wait 10 mins for them to FINALLY SHUT UP and reach a representative. They are the only ones that can manage the pay off on your promotional purchases.

Care Credit
I checked my statement yesterday and see for a year and a half they have been charging me a card security charge of $41.00 a month with interest ontop of that which equals a total of an extra $80.00 a month and it's never shown on my automatic payments. It was hidden somewhere and charged and I did not sign up for that and I did it was hidden so I didn't see it initially.
Desired outcome: I would like refunded for the payments of card security that I did not consent to.

I have paid off this account with its outlandish interest rate and also have paid any residual fees as of 041422 and also asked for this account to be closed.
I received a bill for interest on purchases I have paid off. This is incorrect.
Please correct your records, close my account. Unless I need to report to the BBB abusive action from this company. I cannot access my account online, I cannot call the number on back of my card, I no longer even carry your card.

These people lie about the interest. They work with known convicted criminals in the dentistry that have destroyed my mouth. Care credit should owe me for paying a convicted criminal money up front for services I have never recieved & trying to charge me interest for it.

I've had a CareCredit account for a couple of years and now never had any real problems. during the year 2021, I was having some financial hardship as I was sick with Covid 19 lost my job, and had to have surgery. I called and informed a representative of what was going on. She stated that they would work with me then by the time I got out of the hospital my account was closed and accumulated a significant amount of interest charges.
Also, I pay monthly for card secure benefits, that cover any illness or if you are out of work they didn't even give me time to submit a claim which would have covered the balance I owed instead they assured me that they would work with me but instead closed my account.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate it if they would zero out my debt since I was misinformed

I recently applied for services as a consumer who extends their credit to the companies to recieve goods or services. I was unfortunately denied under my own credit which is a direct violation of 15 USC 1691 (d)(6) Adverse action. CARE CREDIT has caused harm and deprivation of natural rights. CARE CREDIT has a direct violation of identity theft I did not authorize CARE CREDIT to furnish any inquiries on my credit report.

My banking account statement shows on feb10, feb 17 and feb 25th money was taken out of my account for payments when there should of only been one payment taken out. My account activity on the care credit app shows that money was taken out feb 9 feb 16 then feb 18th. Why are multiple transactions being made a month? I signed up for carecredit for help but so far ive been over charged and its made my credit score drop horribly, stating its because of high credit usage from carecredit even though ive made on time payments myself plus if your adding the money that was taken out of my account then why is it so high? Why am I having multiple transactions a month and why is it killing my credit score

Synchrony care credit account
I had my Care Credit account for several years. Around 12/21, I paid off my account in full. After that time, they closed my account for no valid reason. When I called them to inquire what happened, the representative read a letter in my file, which I haven't yet received. Apparently, they said I had derogatory credit, etc. etc., even though I've been paying all my bills on time and my score is around 700. I have worked hard to get this score and now their actions will cause me a lot of problems.
Do not waste your time with this company. Their interest rate is much too high, also.. There are better credit cards, loans you can get out there to pay your medical bills.
Desired outcome: Remove the derogatory comments from my credit file, reinstate my good credit standing and card.
Unable to sign onto the account. When I attempted to reset the password it told me to call a number. [protected]. When I called this number there was no option to talk to the credit card company but immediately sent me to a person who tried to sell me a personal home alert button. She would not stop when I told her several times but continued on with her script. Am now concerned that they are going to use this as an authorization as she started out both conversations with can you hear me now with an expected response of yes.

Husband received card 2/26/22. I called to activate card so I can make first payment when due. Agent I spoke with wanted to talk to hubby whose name is on card. Hubby gave all info to validate who he is. Then started asking other questions in which I took the phone and tried to explain that the website keeps giving me an error and won't let me register card. He refused to speak to me, the wife, and hung up. I'm so pissed right now as I've had several Care Credit accounts and spent thousands of dollars with this company. If this is how customer service is, I'll cancel both accounts I have with this company. The thing is, I didn't understand what this guys name was, but good thing it's supposed to be recorded. If I don't hear anything back soon, I will take it higher or to anyone that will listen and find out who this agent is and discipline him. Unacceptable!

Card security late fee
Open card for dental work the 0 interest for 18 months was the reason I decided to open.
First statement received after due date, I received an email to pay so I did. I didn’t want to be late. Then Jan set up online account in order to view statement that’s when a card security was charged on both statements. Called to dispute charge was told to call # on statement. Call other number M-TH unable tech issue per recording. Friday they update their recording and list a different # call that rep says it could take up to a month and maybe I’ll get reimbursed and maybe it will be terminated.
Late fee unable to set up auto pay.
Received an email to pay and did due to processing time was charge late fee.

My wife and I have been charged over 1, 022 in interest this past 8 months on a card that we were originally told when we applied that it had 0 interest for 12 mo. We have called several times to get interest off and they did not take it off. We were then told to pay the past promo balance. We paid and now they said can't take off interest due to expired promo. Total scam.
