To whom this concerns,
I’ve just gone through 2hours of frustration and anger. It started with me trying to find out why I haven’t seen my on board credit added to 14 day cruise from my 171 shares of Carnival stock. I faxed the information like I always do. I usually see them posted in a day or two. Been doing this for as many years since inception of plan.
I got No notification that there were changes in submitting the information. I still have no idea where my financial information went. First complaint.
I just by happenstance learned by a YouTuber that things changed. I then called Princess customer service. On hold of course. Finally connected with Christian with your onboard credit department. All he could repeat was I had to down load Stock Perks app. No explanation of what to expect. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told they would tell me the same thing and wouldn’t get a supervisor. Complaint 2.
I looked on YouTube and found out that you could do a work around so Stock Perks were not linked directly to my stock account. It was a bit fiddly but I did it. I have to wait 2 days to see how it goes. I don’t like the idea of 1 their link capabilities to financial information and also their ability to give my information to third parties. There’s a lot of room for hackers. Complaint 3.
I really put the complaints on Carnival ultimately for not returning any notification that my faxed information was no longer accepted,there was a new program to submit for on board credit, there is no training of people representing Carnival that know how this program works and why was this company that I’ve never heard about was picked to handle peoples financial information.
Desired outcome: Let people know about this new program when they book a cruise. Train your representatives about this program. Inform people about the new company and why it was picked.
