On the 17th Of August 2023 had an emergency and had to rush my late mother in law to hospital and required money. We then pawned my sons playstation 4 (against his knowledge) with 2 controllers. The lady behind the counter hesitated to take it and mentioned that she could only give me 1600 as it was broken and I had to go for it. We were off and to cut a long story short, mother in law passed away on the 29th Aug. With my sister in law only having passed away 2 months earlier, we had pur hands full with everything in terms of arangements and then had to travel to NC. Upon remembering about the pawn I tried to contact them and did my best with limited network where we were but to no avail. I thought then they would perhaps call or understand my situation when producing the death cert and id but although they know me on a professional level as I do some IT jobs for them from time to time, they blatantly told me that it has been sold and that the funeral and reason were non of their business.
Desired outcome: They told me theres no way i could get it back the new client would not. I asked for the persons contacts so i could plead my case but they refused. They have sold it fpr 4800 after lying to me and saying its broken...
