Love it!
I love their styles and feel of their clothes! It's very easy searching on their website and in their stores they are very friendly! I definitely recommend Cato's!

Step back Cinderella
Raynal helped me out from head to toe. She had me buying things I hadn't come in there for, but at the end of the day it was worth it I was complemented all night long. And my entire wardrobe was cost efficient and so stylish
Great job!
I was in a hurry so I asked Martha to help me pick out an outfit. I told her what I like and she went off my vision and made it happen with accessories included. Great customer service! Thank you Martha I will most definitely be coming back
GREAT MANAGER AND SALES PERSON
I VISITED CATO TODAY AND BOUGHT A FEW THINGS. THE LADY THAT WAITED ON ME WAS
CASHIER #101... I AM SORRY BUT I CAN NOT REMEMBER HER NAME BUT I THINK SHE IS MANAGER. SHE WAS SO SWEET AND SO HELPFUL... SHE HAD A HARD TIME WITH A SECURITY DEVICE ON ONE OF MY PURCHASES BUT SHE CALLED ME LATER AND TOLD ME SHE GOT IT OFF AND I PICKED IT UP. SHE IS A GREAT EMPLOYEE AND VERY HELPFUL AND EFFICIENT. GREAT PLACE TO SHOP...
Poor Customer Service at Cato Store #1113
Me and my sis went to Cato store #1113. We were the only ones there and there was only one worker. The worker didn't say hi or even look at us. We waited for a bit and the worker didn't ask if we needed help. My sis picked out some clothes and went to the counter. She had to wait a while because the worker was on the phone with a co-worker talking about their schedule. We like Cato but this time it wasn't good.
That happens all the time there, the so called manager Tiffany is a real piece of work, rude, don't shop there anymore, pop in to see if Tiffany is and once I see her out the door.
Cato's New Lines Disappoint: Quality and Design Need Improvement
Cato used to be my favorite place to shop for stylish clothes, but lately I've noticed that the new lines are not up to par. The quality is not as good as it used to be, and the colors are too bright and flashy. Some of the designs are just plain weird! I mean, who wants ruffles all over their body? Not me, that's for sure! I think Walmart is doing a better job these days. They have better quality clothes at much lower prices. It's no wonder that most of the Cato stores are empty these days. Whoever is in charge of designing or buying for the chain needs to be fired! They should bring back some classic styles that people actually want to wear.
Cato Fashion: A Disappointing Decline in Style and Selection
Cato fashion used to be a great place to shop for the latest fashion trends, but now it seems like they have lost their touch. The clothing selection is very limited and outdated, with styles that look like they belong in a thrift store from the 90s or early 2000s. It's a shame because Cato used to be one of the best and most popular women's clothing stores around.
It's disappointing to see how far Cato has fallen. The store used to have a unique and stylish collection of clothes that would make any woman feel confident and fashionable. But now, it seems like they are just trying to get by with whatever they can find. The quality of the clothing has also gone down, with many items feeling cheap and poorly made.
Overall, I would not recommend shopping at Cato fashion. It's just not worth the time or money to sift through their limited and outdated selection. It's sad to see a once-great store fall so far from grace, but it's time for them to accept that their time has passed and move on.
Terrible Customer Service at Cato Store in Southaven, Mississippi
I gotta say, I'm a big fan of shopping, but there's this one store that I've been to that just has the worst customer service ever. I'm talking about the Cato store in Southaven, Mississippi, right on Stateline. Let me tell you, they need to teach their workers a thing or two about how to treat their customers right.
So, I was in there the other day, just browsing around, when I saw this really cute blouse that I wanted to check if it was on sale. I asked the young lady working there if she could scan the ticket for me, and she just straight up told me that she couldn't do it because her scanner wasn't working. I mean, come on, that's not my problem, right? But then, to make matters worse, she turned to me and said "6 feet please." Like, what? Maybe if she put a mask on, she wouldn't have to say that to me, especially since I'm a customer and all.
Anyway, I was pretty disappointed with the whole experience, and I don't think I'll be shopping at that location anymore. It's a shame, because I really do like Cato and their clothes, but if they can't get their act together and provide better customer service, then I'll have to take my business elsewhere. This all happened on May 27th, around 5:20 pm, just so you know.
Discrimination at Cato's in Columbia: Denied Job Opportunity Despite "Now Hiring" Sign
I went to Cato's in Columbia South Carolina to ask about a job. I talked to the manager and asked if they were hiring. She said no, so I asked a few more questions and left the store. But then I looked up and saw a sign that said "Now Hiring." I felt really disrespected because I have a disability and use a wheelchair. I think they discriminated against me and treated me unfairly. I deserve a fair chance, but they will never know how great I am. It's really disappointing.
This isn’t accurate. Each location is required to have that sign up and more than likely that store was already fully staffed and it had nothing to do with you.
Uncomfortable Shopping Experience at Cato Store in Montgomery, Alabama
So, I just gotta say, I wrote a review not too long ago about the Cato store in Prattville, Alabama. I was just trying to share my experience, you know? And let me tell you, it wasn't a good one. The workers there always treated me like I was up to no good, like I was gonna steal something. It made me feel so uncomfortable that I just stopped going there altogether. But then I found the Cato store on Ann Street in Montgomery, Alabama. And I gotta say, I felt pretty good shopping there. At least, I did until today.
I walked into the store and the staff started looking around me like I was some kind of criminal. It made me feel so uneasy, like I was doing something wrong. But I'm not! I work hard as an IT professional and I wouldn't steal a thing. It's starting to make me wonder if the Cato stores train their employees to act this way. I mean, I shop online and in stores, and I still like the clothes, but I think I need to take a break from Cato for a while. Maybe a long while.
Don't get me wrong, I still like the clothes. But I just can't deal with feeling like a criminal every time I walk into a Cato store. It's not fair to me or to anyone else who shops there. I hope they can figure out a way to make their customers feel more comfortable. Until then, I'll be shopping elsewhere.
Beware of Cato's Pre-Authorization Charge: Unfair Banking Practice
Cato is a clothing store that you can find online. I recently placed an order on their website and was surprised to see that they charged me twice for my purchase. I used my debit card to pay for my order, which was $22.98, but then Cato charged me an additional $23.01. This was not the price of my order, it was more! I was confused and frustrated, so I called Cato to ask why they charged me more than what I bought.
They told me that it was a pre-authorization charge. I didn't really understand what that meant, but they said that it was a one-time charge that would be released in a few days. It has been three days now and the charge is still pending. This is really annoying because when you have something pending on your checking account, the bank puts a hold on your funds. This means that you can't spend that $23.01 until Cato releases their one-time authorization charge.
I think that this is really unfair because they are playing with your banking account. They could cause someone to have bounced checks if they placed a big order or even a small order. I hope that this review will help you avoid having an overdrawn bank account.
Mixed feelings about Cato: Great products, terrible customer service
I gotta say, I really dig Cato's stuff. Their clothes and other things are just so cool! But let me tell you, if you gotta call them for anything, it's a real pain in the you-know-what. Their people on the phone are just so snooty and don't seem to care about your problems at all. I used to have one of their credit cards for a long time, but I got so mad at them about five years ago that I just canceled it. But I still buy from them all the time, even though I've had some issues with their gift cards not working online. I mean, come on, their system just wouldn't take my cards! So I had to call them up and one of the reps I talked to was just like, "I don't know why they're not working." No offer to help or anything! They act like they're doing you a favor by letting you buy their stuff. And it's not just that one time, either. I've had other experiences with their snooty workers lately too. I love their clothes, but I'm not sure it's worth putting up with these people. They're gonna be sorry when they lose customers like me who've been shopping with them for a long time!
Disappointed and Frustrated: My Experience at Catos
I have been a loyal customer of Catos for many years now, and I have always been treated with kindness and respect. However, my recent experience at the store has left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.
Last Saturday, I went to Catos and purchased three beautiful blouses for $22.99 each and a lovely bracelet for $7.99. When I got home, I realized that the bracelet was missing from my bag. I immediately called the store, but all I got was the sound of a fax machine. The next day, I went back to the store to inform them that the bracelet was not in my bag. There were three ladies at the store, two of them were black and one was white. The white lady told me that she would have to ask her manager about the missing bracelet.
To cut a long story short, there was a lot of back and forth, and I ended up calling corporate because it was no longer about the bracelet. The District Manager promised to review the CCTV footage to see what had happened. I was confident that the truth would come out because I knew that I had paid for the bracelet. However, when the District Manager called me back, she told me that the rep had put the bracelet in my bag. She even claimed that the rep had wrapped it up in tissue paper and put it in my bag with the three shirts. This was a blatant lie because there was no tissue paper in my bag, and the bracelet was nowhere to be found.
I was extremely disappointed with the way Catos handled the situation. I paid $22.99 for each blouse, so why would I lie about a $7.99 bracelet? The manager promised to let me look at the CCTV footage, but I am not holding my breath. I have lost faith in Catos, and I will not be shopping there again.
If you decide to shop at Catos, please make sure to check your bag before leaving the store. It is a shame that a store that I have been loyal to for so many years has let me down in such a big way.
Terrible Customer Service and Return Policy at Cato Store in Katy, Texas
I went to the Cato store in Katy, Texas last night and it was a terrible experience. The sales person, Diane, and the store manager, Randi, were not very helpful and did not provide good customer service. I was trying to make a purchase and return a pair of leggings that I had bought on sale for $9.99, but I did not have the receipt. Diane told me that I could only get back $4.99 because I did not have the receipt. I pointed out that the tags were still on the leggings and showed that they were bought on sale for $9.99, but Diane insisted that they needed the receipt to see what I paid for them.
I did not agree with their policy and Diane grabbed a sign from in front of the register with the store policy and put it in my face to read. She kept emphasizing the "return policy" and I told her that I did not have to do business with them. She responded with an attitude, "No you sure don't." I asked to speak with the manager, Randi, but she was not any more professional. She also kept emphasizing the policy and picked up the same sign for me to read. She also pointed out that the policy was printed on the receipt.
I was not trying to fight over the $5 they wanted to keep, but I did not agree with their return policy, especially since the tags were still on the leggings. I ended up getting my money back on the two items I returned with a receipt, but Randi told me that the only way to get the $4.99 back for the leggings was to give me a gift receipt. I had already told her that I was not going to purchase any new items and would not be shopping at Cato in the future.
After spending over an hour in the store, I left feeling frustrated and angry with the leggings I was hoping to return. Cato has lost my business and after reading some of the other comments, it seems that others have had the same experience as me. This company will not survive if they continue with their strict return policy and continue to hire unprofessional staff. Happy customers can make a business successful, but when they stop doing business with you because of poor customer service or strict return policies, eventually you will not have a business at all.
But that is the store’s policy. It is literally on the receipt. You don’t get your money back just by having a tag that shows the dollar amount.

Clothing colors
I have loved shopping at Cato’s for years. But in the last several years the clothing colors have gone more to rust, pumpkin, yellow, darker greens. These colors are great for people with skin that has warm undertones. My skin has cool undertones and these colors look horrible on me. The colors need to be more diverse for the different skin tones. We are headed for Fall, but not all of us want to have a pumpkin colored wardrobe.
Thank you so much
Kathy Grimes
Cato literally carries a huge variety of colors throughout the year. You’re just referring to the fall colors that come for a short portion of time.
Pants
I am a frequent shopper of Cato‘s, and so I purchase a lot of clothing there and I purchase some brand new pair of pants less than a week ago. I wore them to work had them on about six hours, and I noticed at the bottom of the seam was coming loose. I really like the pants and I just wanted to exchange them the store in Saginaw Michigan refused to let me...

It was last Tuesday 8-15-2023 there was 2 employees working and and one standing there and talking to one eating food while the other girl was working, helping customers, ringing up than about 1230ish or so the one that was taking said I’m goin to lunch she clocks out and the worker and friend walked out. I thought this was very rude to be eating in front of customers.

Return policy.
I spend a lot of money in Cato's almost monthly. I go in with receipt and I can only get $7 on a $39.99 purchase and zero for one that I got on clearance for $7.99. just wanted you to know you lost a good customer. I will never buy another thing from Cato's ever! I was just wanting to exchange it. I was not wanting cash. I'm not going to give you back a $40 blouse that I paid $40 for so you can return around and sell it to someone else for $40
Desired outcome: I just want return my purchases and exchange them for something else. I didn't want the money I just wanted to exchange!!!
Customer service
I arrived at Cato’s in Douglas Georgia about 9:53. The store hours said it opened at 10, so I decided to wait. 10:00 rolled and I waited a few minutesand I never saw anyone come open the door. So I thought maybe there was someone inside and they had opened the door when I wasn’t looking. I got out of my car and I heard somebody shouting “Ma’am”, I turned...
Read full review of CatoGreat Pants, Disappointing Online Shopping Experience
is that? I had to drive all the way there just to get the pants I wanted. But, I gotta say, the pants were worth it. They fit perfectly and were super comfortable. I also ended up finding a cute top to go with it. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase but wish they had a better online shopping experience.
Cato's Website Review: Affordable and Fashionable Women's Clothing and Accessories
I finally got to check out Cato's website and I gotta say, it's pretty cool. They got some nice clothes for women and even some accessories too. I was able to find some cute tops and dresses that I can't wait to wear. The prices are pretty reasonable too, which is always a plus.
One thing I did notice is that some of the items were out of stock, which was a bummer. But I guess that just means they're popular, right? I also wish they had more sizes available, but I understand that can be tough for any store.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with my experience with Cato. I can't wait to see what else they have in store (literally and figuratively).
Cato's Website Review: Charged $14.40 for Trying on Skirt - Dishonest Company to Avoid
So, I recently got myself a skirt from Cato's website. But, when I received it, I wasn't too happy with how it looked on me. So, I decided to return it. But, to my surprise, they charged me $14.40 just for trying on the skirt! I mean, seriously? If you're someone who likes to throw away your hard-earned money, then this is the perfect place for you to shop. But, if you're like me, who values their money, then I suggest you stay away from this store.
I was really disappointed with the way they treated me. I mean, I understand that they have a return policy, but charging me for trying on a skirt is just ridiculous. I wouldn't even buy an outfit for my dog from them! That's how much I don't trust this company.
Overall, I had a really bad experience with Cato's. They are a totally dishonest company and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy store to shop from, then I suggest you look elsewhere. Don't waste your time and money on this store.
Cato Fashion Website Review: Impressive Variety, Fast Shipping, and Great Customer Service, but with Spelling Errors
I recently visited Cato's website, catofashions.com, and I must say, I was impressed with the variety of clothing options available. The website was easy to navigate and I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. However, I did notice a few spelling errors throughout the site, which made me question the professionalism of the company.
Despite this, I decided to make a purchase and was pleased with the checkout process. The prices were reasonable and the shipping was fast. However, when I received my order, I noticed a small tear in one of the items. I was disappointed, but decided to reach out to customer service for assistance.
To my surprise, the customer service representative was extremely helpful and friendly. They apologized for the inconvenience and offered to send me a replacement item free of charge. I was impressed with their willingness to make things right and ensure my satisfaction.
Overall, I had a positive experience with Cato and would recommend their website to others. However, I do hope they take the time to proofread their website and ensure there are no spelling errors in the future.
Poor Customer Service and Misleading Sales at Cato
So, I had to return an item to Cato and I was hoping to buy something else while I was there. I saw something I liked, but I thought it was on sale. Turns out it wasn't, so I decided not to buy it. The people working there weren't very friendly and it seemed like they didn't really want to help me. They knew about the item I was interested in, but they didn't really go out of their way to help me find something else.
Cato Fashion Review: Good Quality Clothes, Great Online Customer Service, But Pricey
So, I went to Cato's website, catofashions.com, to see if they had better customer service online. The website was easy to navigate, but the clothes were a bit too expensive for my taste. I did find a few items that caught my eye, but I wasn't sure about the sizing. I tried to find a size chart, but it was nowhere to be found. I ended up taking a chance and ordering a few things anyway.
When my order arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The clothes were good quality and fit well. However, one of the items was damaged. I contacted customer service and they were very helpful. They apologized for the inconvenience and offered to send me a replacement. I was impressed with their quick response and willingness to make things right.
Overall, I had a decent experience with Cato. While the in-store customer service was lacking, the online customer service was great. The clothes were a bit pricey, but the quality was good. I would shop with them again, but I would probably stick to online shopping.
Disappointing Quality: Cato Dresses Faded and Stained After Just a Few Washes
I bought two dresses from Cato and I was really disappointed with the quality. After washing them just a few times, both dresses started to fade. One of the dresses even stained my leather car seat! And to make matters worse, the dye from the dress rubbed off on my upper arms. The material used to make these dresses is really cheap and the sewing is really bad quality. It's a shame that everything is made overseas now because if these dresses were made in the US, they would be considered seconds or thirds in the sewing department. The dye job is also really bad and I wouldn't recommend buying anything from Cato. It's not worth the money and you won't be able to sell it.
Unacceptable Treatment of Employees: A Review of Cato Clothing Company
Cato is a company that I would not recommend working for. The company does not seem to value their employees and the pay is not great. The clothing that they offer is decent, but some items are priced too high. However, my biggest issue with this company is the way they treat their employees. It is clear that they are overworked and underpaid, which is not fair.
I have heard stories from friends who have worked at Cato and they have not had positive experiences. They have mentioned that the management is not supportive and that there is a lack of communication between employees and management. This can lead to a stressful work environment and can make it difficult to do your job effectively.
In terms of the clothing, I have purchased a few items from Cato and they have been satisfactory. However, I have noticed that some items are priced higher than they should be. This can be frustrating, especially when you are on a budget.
Overall, I would not recommend shopping at Cato or working for this company. The way they treat their employees is unacceptable and it is important to support companies that value their workers.
Cato's Lack of Discounts Disappoints Loyal Customers
I was really surprised when the salesperson told me that Cato doesn't give any discounts to their customers. They said that most of their sales are to older folks and veterans, so they don't need to offer any special deals. I was pretty upset about this and I'm definitely going to tell all my friends who shop at Cato about this. It just doesn't seem fair that they wouldn't give any discounts to their loyal customers.
Store atmosphere
5/14/23, Cato on Albert Pike in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I was in this store and heard a man's voice singing over head, "I wanna f*k you." I had to listen again to see if I was really hearing that. The last thing I want to hear in a lady's clothing store is a man singing those words. I turned around and walked out. I was very disappointed and they lost a sell.
Desired outcome: If music is playing in stores make it neutral and music only.
Cato Fashions Bluefield,VA
Racism❗❗ This past Saturday I was in the store with a friend, We went in and got stares (Like we wasn't supposed to be there) But we continued to look around as a customer would have done. While my friend looked around I went to look at the sunglasses, even tried a couple pair on, as I looked at myself in the mirror I could see the lady the counter looking at me but I ignored it and kept on trying on glasses and purses. When I then noticed that the lady left the counter (Where she had multiple customers) to act like she was fixing the belts just to watch me, My friend also noticed that she was watching me so we decided to leave as we left my friend and I confronted her and asked her why was she watching me like I was going to steal something and left multiple customers at the counter just to ACT like you fixing something, she said she was just doing her job and making sure everything was okay. BE VERY MINDFUL WHEN OR IF YOU GO TO CATO IN BLUEFIELD, VA❗ Even years later BLACKS are still being profiled as THIEVES not all blacks steals let's not forget you have WHITES that steal as well 🗣
New fashion line
Cato, what have you done with your fashion line lately? It is horrific. The 1960's and 70's pea green, brown, orange, mixed with extreme hi lows that go down to the calf in the back, plus high waist, cap sleeve plus size - very unflattering, the loud, ugly prints, come on! Please bring back your beautiful bell sleeve solid black blouses, v neck, tunic length, lose the ugly and bring back the normal. The retro, psychedelic, loud prints are horrific and do not look good on plus sizes or any size for that matter. The baby doll waist, and anything that shows the stomach, my gosh it's like a scene from 70s snl only 50x worse! Please bring back normal, flattering clothing. It's hard enough for plus size... You used to be one of the only stores we could go to, now you're even worse than the others. Yikes!
Desired outcome: Just bring back normal, flattering fashion. There is no need to be different than what you've always done. Ever heard the term, "Don't fix it if it ain't broke." ? That MEGA applies here.
I am complaint about a return.
I made a purchase on 12/24. I purchased several items in which I wasn’t sure what would work. I have today 2/12 tried to placed a return for one of the items. The staff Jennifer (employee) and manager (Carolyn) refused to return my item saying there was a piece of hair and lent. I asked for her district mangers contact information and I was refused thi...

Around October 29th, 2022 I came into Cato in Commerce, GA and overheard an employee speaking very maliciously. I’ve been to this Cato before on my way through Georgia. I normally love the service and was ready to do some shopping. She was saying extremely racist and homophobic things very loudly. It made me, her coworker, and the customers in the store all visibly uncomfortable. After about 2 minutes I left. I wouldn’t be surprised if she cleared the whole store. She was a tall older white woman with a short silver haircut. Someone like this should not be dealing with customers from all walks of life.
Desired outcome: Termination/ highest level of discipline.
Manager Stephanie
At the Cato location 0880 there is a manager who is very unprofessional and has a very negative, nasty attitude towards her work. I’ve witnessed her treating her employees poorly and berating them. I’ve actually had encounters with her multiple times, she’s very disrespectful and condescending, I recommend avoiding her at all cost. Sometime in September and...
