I booked 4 adult flights from Manchester 15th march to perth returning 12th April. I git the confirmation through and was awaiting my etickets. These were booked in good faith. I booked flights and checked the baggage allowance with the airline as footnote advised. Good...thus wasc21st October on 24th October evening I had a call tell me the flights are not available if I want these flights with baggage I need to pay another £950 pp as these are basic economy flights in waiting list. They are not available. This is not stated anywhere on the confirmation or at time of booking. I was told very abruptly this is what you've paid for. A non existing seat...so I said I want to cancel at a cost of £150pp I can or wait until a month before the flight date for full refund.
How is this possible if I have paid for a non existing seat which is on a waiting list..take me off the waiting list give me my money back in full all £3973.91 please.
I have been offer an alternative with 2 stops for an additional £358pp with 6hrs stopover at Singapore. My mother is 83 she is not up to sitting around for 6 hrs.
What is this waiting list seat ...explain it to me in full...I have not seen this in the small print anywhere
Desired outcome: economy flights to Perth from Manchester as advertised on the dates I originally booked or a FULL refund
