jasmine cochran, cincinnati employee
Jasmine Cochran made a public Facebook post that was not only hateful and sexist, but extremely inappropriate and distasteful in its nature. While it is ones right to express their own opinions on a public forum, Jasmine has shared views that are hurtful and for this reason I do not think her values align with Citizen's Bank. I would hope that any corporate establishment would also disagree that scrutinizing women for their bodies and choices involving them is inappropriate, furthermore very openly expressing these opinions as a face of a bank is very unbecoming. I believe there is substance for Jasmine to face consequences for her hateful words, as online abuse is extremely prevalent in our day and age, and can be taken very seioisky by its readers.
overdraft charges
On the 10TH of July I found that I was accessed an OD FEE. When I contacted CITIZENS I was told that if I deposited the funds by Friday the 14TH that I would not be accessed another OD fee. Not so...when I called the CITIZENS Customer Service Department the rep stated that she would file a formal complaint. Because the misinformation was presented to me I believe that I should be refunded the second OD fee.
racist/rude manager
Every time I go into the dartmouth stop and shop in massachusetts. The branch manager named jackie always has a mean look on her face. She is not customer friendly at all. She was dealing with a guy of indian decent who had a large cash deposit. I don't think she realized I was still in the branch because as soon as the guy left she called him a towel head as he walked away. That is unbelievably racist that you can call an indian guy a towel head. That is very disgusting that you can have someone like this running a citizens bank branch. Very unprofessional!
closing of teller - drive ups
I am totally upset about the closing of ALL teller driveups in the Cumberland branch. I use these teller drive ups 4-5 times a week. I do not want to use an ATM card at the ATM and I should not be forced to. I know I can go inside the bank, but their hours do not coincide with my work hours. You made a decision without thinking of your customers' needs. You could at least keep one drive up with a teller and convert the others to ATMS. This is ridiculous. If it becomes too much of a hassle, I'll have to go to another bank. Very inconsiderate of you.

I applied for a personal loan and they promised me many things. I went ahead with the loan and I got the money. On my first call, the associate told me that if I open a Citizens Bank checking, they will reduce my interest for a o.25% and I did open the account. The associate told me to call again once the account was open to update the system but that I could open the personal loan. Once my account was open the customer service Christina (no last name - stated I don't need that) and her supervisor Marcy Thompson stated that once the loan is disbursed they cannot apply the discount and that not I have to stick to it. When I asked for the supervisor of the supervisor she stated a name "Melissa Aversa" as being her supervisor but she could not give me her contact. I told them since all call are recorded then I would like them to pull it and see all the things the personal loan associate promised me but the supervisor said it was too late and I will not get the interest discount as I was told. I have been trying to get to the headquarters but not luck.

Hello. I went to your Marlboro, Ma branch on Bolton street on Saturday morning July 8, 2017. I had been having contact with the bank for 3 weeks because my cousin, Valarie Almada has been in the hospital for several months and a woman has fraudulently signed my cousins name to many checks. I was her trustee and POA. I was told to come down with my POA on Saturday when I was free and that they would take care of the remaining checks and put me on her personal account, as she will be going into long term care. When I walked in and explained the issue to Areda or Aveda, she immediately offered no help, she asked me what I do for work within the first 3 minutes, she told me the POA was old ( there is no expiration only at death), she stated she couldn't help me and seemed to be judgmental and racist. She threw my license back in my face and when I told her that I thought she was completely incompetent and that I was filing a complaint, she threw me out of the bank. I have never encountered such poor customer service in my 59 years of life. I went to the Sudbury branch where I worked with Thomas. In a little over an hour, he faxed the POA to his legal team, canceled all remaining checks and added me to her personal account and changed her address to mine for all correspondence. Bingo! He was very knowledgeable, patient and professional. So, in closing, this woman should in no way be representing Citizens bank. She was completely unprofessional, inept and disparaging. overdraft fee
My account was overdrawn $2 yesterday so I put in $10 to make my account positive . I wake up to -$27 in my account with an overdraft fee . I spoke to a manager named Heidi B twice (second time didn't introduce herself because she knew it was me) she was very rude did not help me at all wouldn't transfer me to another manager or the one above her. I now have to go 2 days with no money also extra chargers after mistakes their company made and with no help from their managers I want my money back as well as Heidi to face consequences for conducting her job very poorly. And after reading other complaints it's clear as day I'm not the only person they did this too
ripoff, lies and overcharges
I was told yesterday, 6/19/2017, if I deposit money I will not be charged an overdraft fee, well, I was lied to because today, 6/20/2017, I now have 2 overcharge fees. I called and someone who didn't speak very good english answered the phone and looked up my account and then I all of a sudden heard music, she placed me on hold and didn't even tell me. I waited 10 minutes, she never came back to the phone. The customer service is awful at this bank. People lie to you and talk down to you. I want someone to deal with this. You are stealing people's funds and getting away with it.
overdraft fees
Citizens Bank charges me overdraft fees and when contacted told me that even though only one transaction over drew my account they had to place my most important transaction first hence allowing 3 smaller transactions to show as coming in after which they did not and charged me $105 for overdraft fees. This is the continued practice and there explanation is its there policy to deduct larger transactions first. I tried to explain that I made a deposit same day the check was deposited but the check shows for Friday and the deposit showed for Monday. Am done with them. Closing my account.
unethical overdraft fees
I recently made a deposit directly to a teller on a Saturday. The account showed "funds on hold". The funds were then shown to be deposited in my account and a check that I had written withdrawn on that same day. ie My bank account showed a positive balance. I then received an email stating that I am going be charged an overdraft fee because my account was overdrawn. I called customer service and talked to Heidi C. who said that there system shows the funds were overdrawn. I told her when I look up my account it shows a positive balance. She was unsympathetic and said it was there policy to charge for the overdraft. Completely unfair and unethical! I would like the fee charged reimbursed!

I am very disappointed in your customer service. I sent Tamara Terrell the required loan information she asked for on May 19. She sat on it until June 5. She would still be sitting on it if I hadn’t reached out to her. That is 18 days! What’s worse is she never accepted responsibility for her error and never apologized. Instead, she tried to blame me for not sending her the information. I had to waste my time going through my emails to prove her wrong.
My current loan expired on May 31st, so this delay has been a disaster for my wife and I. I reached out to Tamara's manager Holly Cohen and left two messages and she never called me back.
This is no way to treat a loyal customer. I am going to PNC and I hope everyone follows me there!

On Monday June 5th I went to withdraw funds from an account. I gave the manager the bankbook and asked for a balance. She yelled the balance to me so everyone could hear, then claimed that noone heard. I asked her to update the bankbook with the balance instead of telling everyone how much money was in the account. She was undeterred and continued establishing herself as being in the right. I asked for her manager and she said she is the manager. After the incident I remembered how she tried to make me remove my hat in the bank while others wore theirs, in the mid of winter.
fake account opened in my name
Someone opened a fake checking account and a debit card in my name using my social security number. They tried to transfer a six figure amount from my brokerage/checking account to Citizens. Fortunately my other bank caught it in time. The fake account didn't even have my correct address or phone, but apparently that did not deter Citizens from opening the account or issuing a debit card. I have contacted them twice about this but they seem rather unconcerned and not at all helpful. In fact the second call resulted in a supervisor hanging up when I continued asking questions.
checking account
I have been a customer for a while now, I made a deposit on Monday afternoon and I was told it would be available by Tuesday 5/23/17.
I got called by the branch manager in Newburgh NY, meadow hills, his name is Brian.
My funds are still not available until 5/31/17.
Strangely enough I called the branch a couple times, I called the customer service number and nobody is willing to verify the other banks funds. Very upset.

Well, I should have just cashed my moms estate money at the bank that is dealing with the estate funds.
I was dealing with my mom's estate account before, never any problems.
I had an opportunity to take the cash out at the other bank which is a federal credit union.
But live and learn. My next deposit to Citizen bank will be all cash, no matter how much it is. Yes to wait 10 days for a bank to call another bank for verification is a little too much. Thanks for your help.
customer service agents silent on overdraft protection plans, resulting in customer excess fees
Date of incident: 5.24.17
My account was overdrawn by about $8, the bank charged a $35 fee (up from what used to be a $30 fee) - as soon as I realized that my account was overdrawn this morning, I transferred all required funds to cover the overdraft and called customer service to explain the situation and avoid the fees. The supervisor I spoke with was NOT helpful or understanding at all, but mentioned one thing that no other agent previously mentioned: overdraft protection! I have had overdraft situations before, but all with minimal amounts up to $10 that resulted from direct authorized transactions (I didn't exactly know when they would occur every month, that's why I kept falling into the trap). I am currently a student, so my budget is very limited every month and I simply CANNOT afford to be paying Citizens bank so many fees every month. I am especially frustrated about this, because the overdraft is for minimal amounts, and I ALWAYS make sure to transfer funds as soon as I see that my account has been overdrawn. As I said, I spoke to multiple customer service agents regarding this issue, and NOONE ever mentioned overdraft protection to me before. This leads me to believe that agents might be instructed to "avoid" informing customers about this option, so that the bank keeps charging the higher fees for overdraft! I repeatedly had such conversations with agents, and noone ever mentioned this option to me before, which would have saved me a lot of money in fees. The supervisor I spoke with today was not understanding of my situation at all. I would hope that Citizens Bank would be more supportive and understanding of its clients, and especially students. I am extremely disappointed about this situation and I am planning to inform student services at my university to caution students planning to bank with Citizens. I will also be informing all my fellow students and friends about this and will begin the process of tranfering to another bank, as I am extremely disappointed with how I have been treated. I will not be a student forever, but how you are treated in a time of need is extremely telling of a company's true values and culture.
If this issue was to be resolved, a desired resolution for me would be to get a rebate for the fees that I was charged.
customer service rep angel cancelled my debit card
In March 2017 I realized I could not get into the bank with my debit card. The saleswoman told me I needed a chip, so she ordered my debit card with a chip. I never received the card (May 2017). I called customer service today (5/6/2017) to tell them about the situation. I explained, telling Angel that I ordered my same debit card but with a chip and asked if it got sent back or where it would be/if someone could use it. He literally said it does not matter and asks if I want it in normal shipping or expedited. Then he is telling me I will get a new number on my card. I said no, no, no I do not want a new number I was just asking about the card and where it might be. This kid thought I was just ordering a new debit card and canceled my card without asking! It is Saturday and he is telling me the soonest I can get a card is Tuesday and my card is canceled and he cannot do anything about it. How is it hat the employer messes up and then tells me he cannot do anything to fix his mistake. He did not listen to me, he canceled my card with out my permission and now I do not have a debit card, I cannot access my bank account and all my billing payments need to be changed now. I would have NEVER agreed to change my card number. He did not listen to why I was calling and made his own decision. He ruined my whole week and now I need to change all my bills and I do not have access to my account and I am very upset. Not only that but someone has to sign for this new card and I work so now I have to get it at the bank. Nobody told what happened with the original card that was suppose to be sent to me. Angel is either not properly trained or decided not to listen to me, he made a rash decision and did so with out confirming with me. Instead of ACTUALLY LISTENING TO ME he jumped to conclusions and cancelled my card. I NEVER wanted a new card number and I NEVER wanted to cancel my current card and I thought he was just issuing me the same card with the chip again with my current debit card number. He should have repeated to me what he was doing before he actually did it. Now because he didn't do his job correctly, I have to basically change everything as if my card got stolen. It is not fair and the best they could do for me is send me a new card in 4 days to a bank that hopefully will get it on my lunch break. It is not right and there should be a way to reverse his action. He should repeat his training and learn to listen to customers issues before changing anything, he should have confirmed with me before canceling my card.
home equity line of credit - pay off error
I was at Citizens Bank, Yonkers Branch on 4/13/2017 to do a closing on my new HE line of credit. This was a refinance with a pay off to Bank of America. I noticed that the pay off amount was incorrect and requested the representative, Matthew Scimeca to contact BOA to get the correct amount. He stated that they will send the indicated amount and any difference I could pay myself. BOA rejected for the reason incorrect pay off amount. I noticed the error after one week and called Citizens to correct. It took more than 3 hrs and several phone calls to find if it was a check or a wire transfer. The rejected funds were held by Citizens back office with no action. It took several phone calls and 10 more days to correct this mistake. Now Citizens is not willing to waive the interest for that 15 days and it will cost me around $155.00 for their mistake. No body knows what they are doing.

I received the loan and was told only interest was due the first 10 years. I never intended to do that anyway but I needed 2 months to get my finances ready. When I received the bill it showed $59.50 was due. I had taken $120000 advance up front. The bill clearly says balance due $120059.50. I decided to get rid of that loan and go to another bank with a good fix rate home equity loan. I was told I owed $900 more in interest! The $59.50 was not all the interest. How would I possibly know that. I was never told this. I plan to take all my money out of citizens bank after 30 years with citizens. I cant believe how "shady" this loan is.

Hello I am reporting some issues with Mt Vernon ky 40456 branch employees Kathy Stewart staying on Facebook causing drama while on the job this issue needs addressed I think that if these employees are on the job site they should not be posting on Facebook about drama and relating people personal info from that discussing matters others in a public federal facility I am very angry and have the dates and times she has posted while on the job this needs stopped and I will take this to all media if it doesn't stop citizens employees from all media sites

I was issued a case number but lost it can u plz resend.kimberly Noel email [protected]@gmail.com.its related to lifetime liberty had a check issued to me on behalf of a inmate account .check was issued from citizens bank .was sent to me in cabazon california but was returned because of wrong address.it was certified mail.so now I'm trying to track it down I have the check number.
