Shoes fall apart
I rinsed off the rubber bottoms of my Clark sandals, to get some grass clippings off, and within an hour the heals of both sandals were disintegrating! Strange! See photo below.

sole crumbled all around stitching
I liked the above model of shoes and finding it comfy I bought the pair in black. Soon after I bought another one from ebay in brown...BIG MISTAKE!
The upper leather of BOTH pair of shoes separated from the sole all around the stitching because the material of the sole crumbled at that point.
I thought they will last forever being stitched all around and being CLARKS !
looking at the shoes you would think they are brand new because I have not worn them that much.

upper came apart from sole
While wearing my fairly new Clark's clogs the other day, I looked down and the shoe sole and top had completely separated for at least 4-5". They were unwearable until a friend rescued me with a sturdy rubberband to hold the shoe on my foot. I have worn this type of shoe for years---both Clark's and other brands, most for much longer than my current pair and this has never happened to me or several friends who wear and like Clark's. I firmly feel I am entitled to a new pair, or my money back. I no longer have the receipt, however. I love these shoes because they are leather and a quality product. At the price you charge, I am sure you will stand behind your product---these are not "cheap" shoes!
I look forward to a prompt reply.

I purchased a brown pair of Clark's shoes a year ago and paid good money for them. I wabted a high quality shoe and Clark's is know for quality. I have been disappointed. The leather is very low quality and has lost its integrity. The shoes have not responded well to winter weather and snow and the leather has gotten discolored and lost its luster. The shoes are at the point of being discarded. They performed like a Payless shoe.
I purchased a pair of bendable shoes (Clark Brand) and they squeak when I
walk. What can I do to get the squeak out. The shoes are very comfortable but
people can hear me walking.
Thank you.

I love my Clarks and have several pair of them. Suddendly on one pair, the stitching came apart from the sole. Is there any kind of guarantee for these shoes?
My Clark mules just fell apart as I was wearing them. Hadn't used them for a year. Not old at all. Where can I send them back to the company?
I have purchased a lot of Clarks shoes and love them. Just purchased a pair of Clarks Clogs though and they squeak on tile floors. Love the shoes. Very cute & stylish, and comfortable, but annoying squeak due to the type of sole. Is there anything I can do to make them not squeak?
Not converse shoes
I ordered some "converse" shoes from clarksuk.net because they were like no other converse shoes I had seen before. I should have guessed something was wrong when I noticed their website looked cheap. I got the shoes but completely the wrong size. They were also not even converse shoes.
quality
I have been purchasing "Clarks" shoes for 15 + years (I'm guessing approximately 19 pair of Clarks) & have always been "totally" satisified..within the last year, I purchased a pair of black slip in shoes..style # 35281. Within 6 months, the stitching around the sole started to come unstitched & then the sole "split across the entire bottom of the shoe"..I...

I was looking for Clarks.uk.net website to order a pair of shoes that I had seen in the shops. I copied the part number and found them on what I thought was Clarks uk web site, I ordered them and paid for them on my bank card total being £52. I then emailed the website through their link, but I received no reply.
Ordered a pair of high heeled Clarks shoes, received a pair that look like they came from a pound shop
Ordered a pair of high heeled Clarks shoes, received a pair that look like they came from a pound shop. Have contacted Clarks who say that this is not one of their websites. First time I have been conned, usually wise to what goes on on the web but my craving for these shoes seems to have broken through my minds firewall. Contacted the website they eventually responded when I contacted them through the billing company, (Billingsupportsystem.com), which going by other forum members is a con as well for Chinese companies to process your money. Clarks say they have a had few complaints about this website and will look into it. Hmm not sure they are that bothered otherwise you would think that their Facebook site would have a warning about it! Checked on a Domain site, now it is to late; it says it is only active for 1 year and the same ip address has another two conning websites attached to it for Nikes in a America. I will now try getting a refund from the Credit Card company, see I'm not totally stupid, just a pity it was my boyfriends I used, could do without even more stress, as he will have to be the one contacting them! By the way on the billing website the responder for Clarksshoes.com was a company called "Good D Trade Ltd" and the payment notification says it will come on the bill as "True Vendor +[protected]".
sole deteriorating
I had foot surgery, and bought a pair of Clarks Springers, with Velcro across the foot, top and bottom. I also bought a pair of Dr Scholls, of similar design. I wore the Dr Scholls daily, and the Clarks for dress. The soles of the Clarks have deteriorated, and are falling apart, while the Scholls are still fine. I like Clarks shoes, and have bought many pair, of different design, but will reconsider after the shoddy composition of these shoes. I think a reimburesment or credit is in order.
PS: If Dr Scholl's soles can hold up, surely a much more expensive shoe like Clarks can come up with a decent, longer wearing one.

I have had a pair of Clarks Springers for many years. I wore them twice then stored them for a couple years in a shoebox. I recently pulled them out of the box and the soles were very sticky and left a sticky feeling on my fingers. Other than that. they look brand new like the day I stored them.
My wife normally prefers Clarks, but recently had the soles of an expensive pair completely disintegrate. The uppers were in great shape. The soles first became very sticky and gummy, then totally fell apart when she tried them on. This left "tar babies" in the closet carpet which were very difficult to remove and sticky black streaks on the ceramic tile that were like the highway on hot August day.
Poor customer service
I am a student Nurse and was advised by the ward Sister to buy a particular pair of shoes from Clarks that are very comfortable and good quality for my placements. When I arrived at Clarks I asked the staff for some assistance, she was having a casual conversation with 2 other staff. I said I was looking for a shoes that nurses wear but couldn't remember the name. She pointed to the corner on the other side of the shop and abruptly said "nurses wear those shoes" and continued her conversation with the other staff. I went to the corner and there were only men's shoes there. I spent time around the store and tried looking for myself. When after about 15 mins of trying different shoes with no assistance or concern from the 3 staff I then returned to her and said the shoes she directed me to were mens', and I had remembered the name of the brand I needed which were Coffee Cake. She sharply said "they've all we've got" whilst pointing again to the mens shoes and continuing her conversation. I am very disappointed she did not check other stores etc or advise me in any way. I am currently in a cohort of 150 student nurses, we all intend to buy shoes from clarks in the next fortnight and I will be sending an email to my cohort advising them to shop elsewhere. I will also email next years students who start in march telling them the same. Clarks will have lost out on around 300 customers each looking to spend £40 thanks to one rude and obnoxious member of staff, thats £12, 000 they will have missed out on.

I've tried, twice, to attach a pic of my £90 Clarks shoe with the sole half off. after a months use.
Clarks replied to my email saying: "The problem is common and wellknown in the shoe industry".
This was after the shop assitant who looked at the shoes said "The stiching is coming undone because you have not used them often enough".
For Pete's sake the soles are glued on ! ! If the problem is common and well known does this mean that we will soon be going around in clogs or bare foot ! !
Fake company
I have bought a pair of shoes from Clarks-shoe.net. I thought it was original Clarks website but it is fake. When I received confirmation after the payment was made I noticed that in two places was put different currencies. It looked very strange, so I wrote them email of cancellation and they never answered it.
I returned a pair of boots that were the wrong size, I was told when they received them I would get a refund. Now they say I did not put the proper custom amount and they will only give me 20% So far it
has cost me 20 emails and £77. What recourse do I have?
I as many others have found the same, I have been in contact with clarks uk informing them of this site that is made to look as if you are dealing with clarks, I have given them the web address and a copy of the mail received from them of their confirming the order, I too had sent them various e-mail s and like you no reply, I have also made a claim back from visa with who the unauthorized payment was taken, clarks info is ;c&j clark international limited trading as clarks registered in england number 141015

Stitching coming apart on both clogs
I have bought Clarks for over 15 years and now one of my clarks the side of the shoe seperated from the sole . My foot fell out of the side and I fell . They always made quality shoes before . Have they stopped making quality shoes but still charging the higher prices ?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Loved Clarks clogs, so I bought several pairs. Three pairs now have ripped all along the outside edge, top ripping away from the sole. The latest pair had never been worn. Put them on this morning, walked out and got in the car, and the whole side of the shoe came apart. That's a lot of money wasted. Never again will I uy Clarks.
I went to a job interview and it was the third time I had worn my Clark shoes. Both shoes had the sides rip out at the same time how embarassing. I will not buy Clarks again
I have had the same problem...2 pairs of Clark clogs blew up leaving me shoeless at a basketball game...and a Christmas...how
do we get any compensation for these shoes? I must have 15 pairs...thank you Clark Shoe Co.
I have a pair just like those and the same thing happened! I am going to complain to Clarks.
Same complaints as everyone else posting experiences with CLARKS shoes. deteriorating soles, falling, dangerous. 5 pairs, different styles, all black soles, all bad and no response from CLARKS in two years. My experience, my Mom's and folks I work with.
It's a same.
Poor Business
Not sure where my original complaint went, so I will submit it again. I purchased two cats from Dave/Bob Clark at Clarkstone Bengals a few years ago. They were a male and female breeders as the intent was to breed cats as a way to supplement our income in order to pay for medical school. Things went smoothly in the beginning. When we received the cats, we immediately took them to our vet as a normal thing. The vet proceeded to list the numerous problems including obvious flees, ringworm, and behavior issues with the male. She questioned where we got the cats as the quality was poor and their health was very bad. I expressed my concerns to Dave Clark about what our trusted vet had said (we have used this vet for years without any issues). He expressed concern and offered to refund the money as he didn't want an unhappy customer. Clearly he was just joking because when I said that I would send them back and he could refund the money, he proceeded to call me many names, including a lying cheat. He said he learned that doing business with young people is a poor decision as they are horrible thieves. When I asked that he just live up to his offer and we can part ways, he told me that he will see how healthy they are when they get back. When Dave received the cats back he refused to refund any of my money and never explained why. I ended up file a suit and still haven't received my money. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH CLARKSTONE. You will get screwed if any problems arise.
This wasn't you? That is your response? Please Mr. Clark. You clearly cannot address the complaint. Instead you throw up your hands, garnish a confused look, and say, "Huh? Wasn't me." You were sent a check in May 2006. Please look into your records regarding two cats you sent out around this time and two cats that would have come back shortly after that time. If you have a legitimate company investigating cyber bullying, please have them contact me on this review board and I will gladly give them my name, address, telephone number, check number, lawsuit number, and any other information they would need to show that I am not not trying to bully you in any way. If you were to ever return the money I would consider the case closed, and I would voluntarily remove these complaints as you made a good faith effort to resolve the situation, and I can respect a business that does that. However, until that time, if I can help even one person by swaying them from purchasing from you, it is time well spent.

This is all like a two year old child, caught with its hand in the cookie jar. It's not me! IT's NOT ME. Some one must have put my hand in there for me. If it is not you sir, then why did we do business at your address, use that same number you have given out, business through your web site. So who else would it be. Your still liable it was your business. You don't manage the cattery, your the owner. So man up for a change and do right by the people you hurt. You hurt them, their pocket book, so just man up. But instead i's not you, cyber bulling, ...Please, give every one e break. IT WAS YOU. Your not being honest. Multi-personalities? Not going to call you.
We shake our heads as we read your response. Always try to get past the facts. It is never his fault. He has been mistreated. Misunderstood. Poor man. Now he is being cyber-bullied He does ya dirty and then he gets a memory problem. He seems to forget. You've got a clue, many of them. You know what you did to every one. This is your way to make things go away. I have now lived long enough to say that I have heard it all. Cyber-bullied. Not true and you can make all the excuses you want, but you did this to yourself. The truth is coming out. Do right by every one and we are sure they will take off their complaints. But not until. We gave you the chance to talk too us, but we got tired of the name calling and your insults towards us. Not going to ever call you again. I can talk to you here and be heard. We would like to talk to TakeninIowa and share tales. We feel for them.
This wasn't me...My cattery is experiencing some sort of cyber -bullying...it's being investagated at this time. I have no clue in anyword of this. If you read this and can any light on this subject call me at [protected]
Bad experience
Anne,
What did you do to upset the Kind of cats? He had no plan of giving you what you paid for. He does that all the time. He owes many people for cats and cat problems. Glad you love your cat. Bengals are great, but a breeder like Dave Clark is a parasite himself. You kitten is not the first one he has sold with problems. Ear mites are the least of the problems you could have gotten. I have been on the other end of his rants too. SO sorry for you. Has he made any threats? HE will and he will not stop calling or e-mailing till he is sure your scared off. Good luck, he knows the way to the court house. Go to scam in former and some put his court info on there so you can look up the others that have taken him to court. Maybe they can help you.

Clarkstone Bengals is owned by Dave Clark. This month in Cat Fancy he is going by BOB CLARK. That way if you look up Bob Clark there is no complaints on Bob, but there is on Dave. Dave is AKA many other first names. Buyer Beware.

This isn't really an inquiry, but more of a complaint. Last year, at the end of February, I bought a pair of boots, and wore them only for a few days. I stored them in a safe, dry place during the summer time, hoping to use them this winter.
I wore them for the last couple of days, and despite the fact that it wasn't any snow or rain (I simply wore them because it was windy and cold outside), they have seemed to have broke. While sitting in my office, I saw that seams had ripped.
I thought that at the very least, I would get to wear them for at least two winters. I thought these were a good product, which is the precisely the reason I spent $150 CAD for them. However, they aren't a good product at all and I demanded a refund. Hopefully I'll get one.

I have purchased a pair of shoes from Clarks Abu Dhabi and could not believe what happened to the shoes but worse than this is the company and the agent Jashenmal who both failed to honor customer satisfaction, or to acknowledge the unbelievable defect with the shoe. I wore the shoes for less than 2 weeks suddenly the left shoe sole cracked longitudinally and across, the top is still like brand new, the right side looks perfect. I am very sure there is a defect in the left side. I have amazing photos of the shoes, I have contacted Clarks in UK, they were not helpfull at all. I have also contacted the local agent, they asked me for a receipt which I have not kept. They refused to exchange, repair or refund the shoes even though it is very clear a product of Clarks, and there is only one agent in Abu Dhabi

About half a month ago, I bought three pairs of shoes of Clarks online which are on promotion that time . However, two weeks has passed, I still could not received my items. So as the guidance on the net, I traced the parcel first, it said "dispatched". But when I tried to contact to the after-sale office, they said the parcel was on the way. I waited for another week, then I made a call to the company, the officer said the parcel has been missing, the only thing they can do is to refund .what a joke, missing ~?! three pairs of shoes would be missing? I am so angry, but I donot know what else I can do, because they are the present to my dear mother. I am really sorry and sad about that . could anyone give me some suggestion to protect the consumer?

Poor quality soles
As a long time fan of Clarks, from Wallaby’s to Sandals, I believe I
have finally bought my last pair :( . Not only is there no longer
quality going into their manufacturing but there anonymous customer
service left much to be desired. As someone who sits at a desk and
walks only to and from my car, I expect to get a year or two out of a
pair of shoes I wear to work. In this case, holes wore through the
soles in less than 6 months and they became unwearable completely in 8
months.

Clarks anonymous, (Clarks customer service), suggested I mail my shoes
in for review. I find this ridiculous when the cost of postage is a
large percentage of the cost of the shoe. In either case, they were
unapologetic and had no comment what-so-ever, even after I stated that
I was not looking for new shoes or a refund. All I wanted to know was
if this was an isolated indecent or if their quality was truly this
bad, and I guess I got my answer.

I have the same pair of shoes which I purchased last year. I have only been wearing them for about 6 months (less wear on the soles than in your pictures) and the same problem has happened to me, split where the toes bend. I would have never noticed except for the fact water soaked through the bottom when I stepped in a puddle the other day. I emailed their customer support and I have not heard back from them. The shoes are very comfortable but this problem is very disappointing.

Soles Fall Apart
I have had several pairs of Clarks clogs and every one of them has fallen apart. Today was my sixth pair to fail. With some it is the sole cracking open and others it is the leather top part separating from the sole. The leather is still in new condition and the stitching is in good shape but it separates from the sole. This has left me in some embarrassing situations because there is no warning that the shoe is going to fall apart. I love the fit and feel of Clarks but I am going to have to quit buying them because I can't depend on them.
I have been buying Clark shoes for over 10 years because of their comfort and style. However, this week I have had two pairs that the soles began to fall apart. The tops are perfectly fine but I have to throw them away because they are not repairable. For the price I paid for these shoes, you would think they could make a decent sole. I am switching to Easy Spirit, even though they do not feel as comfortable, but I think this would be a better investment. When a pair of sandals cost over $60, you would think the workmanship would be decent. The shoes with the hard soles seem to be fine but the soft spongy ones are terrible.
While in London my husband purchased a pair of Clarks for his brother in law who really likes this brand. To our dismay the first time his brother in law tried them on they fell apart. The photographs speak for themselves. Unfortunately I could not find a proper address of Clarks headquarters to file a complaint.
I had 2 pairs of Clarks soles break in half and separate from the shoe without any notice. Almost broke my neck the first time... Love the fit but don't trust them anymore.
Who is Clayton Nelton?
I have a pair of Clark Shoes that my Mother gave me before her passing. I recently wore them for the first time and have found that the soles are cracking and breaking off. I always wanted Clark shoes but could never afford them, so she bought me them as a girt. They are style # 32296 7M 11/03. I was so proud of my Clark shoes now I am so disappointed in them. I wore them about 1 week! I showed all my friends and they cannot believe how the came apart!

I have had 7 pairs of clark's shoes to come apart from the soles in about 2 yrs. The last pair was last week. The other pairs I took to a shoe repair shop out of town and he would not repair them because he said that when that happens to these kind of shoes they cost a lot to repair them. These 7 pairs of shoes cost me a lot of money and should have lasted me a long time esp. when you don't wear them enough to even show wear on the shoe. Back in the summer when I returned from the shoe cobbler I did through the other pairs in the trash but when this happened to this last pr. I did keep it. People told me that I should take a picture and sent it to the company. I am sorry now that I put the other pairs in the trash. I was not thinking at the time. I am a widow and have no one to keep with these kind of decisions. Thank you so much.
