This company made me walk to get cash - after being closed on the weekend and I had to pay for it
This company made me walk to get cash - after being closed on the weekend and I had to pay for it. It's basically a shady business. On retrieving my car, the people took forever and didn't care.
Man, let me tell ya, this company made me walk all the way to get some cash, can you believe it? And get this, they were closed on the weekend, so I had to pay extra just to get my hands on that dough. Talk about shady, right?
But wait, it gets worse. When I finally went to pick up my car, those folks took forever, man. I mean, they didn't give a hoot about my time. It was like they were on a whole different planet or something.
Overall, I gotta say, this Coastline Recovery Services, Inc. ain't exactly winning any awards in my book. They need to step up their game and start treating their customers with some respect.
Horrible service!
Horrible service! I've tried so many times to set up an appointment to get my stuff from my car, but they don't have any dates left for the rest of the month. My work tools are in the trunk, and there are expensive things in the front console and door. They're really just stealing from people who are already in tough spots because they're so darn greedy.
Man, let me tell you, Coastline Recovery Services, Inc
Man, let me tell you, Coastline Recovery Services, Inc. ain't worth a single star. They ain't even botherin' to make sure their employees ain't stealin' people's stuff. It's like they don't give a damn 'bout hardworking folks losin' their hard-earned cash and the things they buy with it. I'm real mad about this.
Horrible customer service, the receptionist wouldn't let us talk to a boss or manager
Horrible customer service, the receptionist wouldn't let us talk to a boss or manager. So unprofessional, they couldn't even give us a name of someone in charge for Alyssa. I had my appointment today and they canceled, saying they didn't get the paperwork even though my finance company sent me an email confirming they got it all. I'm super let down by this company and what they represent.
This company keeps your car for days even after you pay the bank and the bank lets go of the car
This company keeps your car for days even after you pay the bank and the bank lets go of the car.
They took my car on 8/12, the bank paid in full on 8/12 at noon, and the bank said I could pick up the car on the same day, 8/12.
I tried to schedule an appointment to get my car back, but they don't have any available slots until 8/17. They also charge for each day they keep your car, so my bill is now $850!
This is straight-up robbery and it can't be legal.
This is the worst company ever, holding onto people's stuff for way too long and taking advantage of folks in tough situations!
I wouldn't even give this biz one star but I was forced to
I wouldn't even give this biz one star but I was forced to. First, it ain't a biz but it's a corrupt entity. A biz means they do a service and these creatures most certainly don't. It's no wonder they ain't got no phone number and no way to get to your vehicle 'cause what they do is hold your stuff for ransom. You can't make an appointment to pick up your vehicle and cancel it and keep your vehicle for 4 or 5 extra days. That's called theft. They also won't let you go pick up your important stuff outta the vehicle, if they ain't already stolen it, which they do most of the time. I plan to sue 'em on Monday, just like the owner of the biz whose thousands of dollars of stuff got taken by these dirty pukes. Btw, when Coastline comments on this review it's all BS, they don't give a damn about customers. They're straight up running a crooked biz. I suggest that every person who got ripped off by these cretins file a small claims against 'em and call the Better Biz Bureau. Contact 'em at ComplaintsBoard.com. I do plan on posting a new review at least once a week 'cause I hate thieves. Have a great day!
My car got taken to this place called Coastline Recovery Services, Inc
My car got taken to this place called Coastline Recovery Services, Inc. and I gotta say, talking to the people on the phone was pretty good. They were sorting things out real quick. But when I finally got my car back, one of the workers thought it would be funny to put a password on my aftermarket radio. Now it's just a useless $700 brick. I can't change the volume, listen to the radio, or even use the maps. It's so frustrating to see a "enter password" message on the screen when it never showed up before. I've had this radio in my car for over a year and it never had a passcode. When I talked to the guy at the lot, he said nobody messed with the radio. But come on, it's hard to believe that when the radio suddenly locks up right after Coastline Recovery Services gets my keys. Nobody wants to admit to this dumb joke. The owner, Ivy, wouldn't even talk to me about it. She said it's an electrical issue and not their problem. If they don't remove the passcode from my radio, I'm gonna have to take them to small claims court just to get it fixed. I'll literally have to pay someone to take out the radio and reset it.
All the bad reviews are totally right
All the bad reviews are totally right. My car got taken away and it took like 2 weeks just to get my stuff back. They would cancel appointments and hang up on me when I called. One time they set up an appointment for 2:30pm. When I got there, I called to say I was outside. They made me wait for over 3 hours. I called again after waiting for about an hour and they said they were still getting my things...finally I called again at 5:30 and they said they closed for the day and everyone had already left. But nobody bothered to tell me. They couldn't call me because my new iPhone was in the car when it got taken...and they never found it. I was living in my car at the time, so everything I owned was in there. They took sooooooo many things from the car...including my phone. I tried so many times to get my stuff back, and I told them if they didn't give it back, I would involve the police...and that's when they finally did...but I only got about half of what was actually in the car. I'm gonna take them to court. How is this company still around? They're the sketchiest, most crooked business I've ever dealt with.

Coastline Recovery Services, Inc
Coastline Recovery Services, Inc. ain't lettin' me get my car even though I paid up all them fees. They wanna slap me with more charges, man.
On October 4th, my car got taken away, but luckily I managed to retrieve it on the 24th of October
On October 4th, my car got taken away, but luckily I managed to retrieve it on the 24th of October. However, during the time it was with them, they caused some serious harm to my vehicle. My front bumper is all busted up, with deep scratches and dents. And to top it off, my back bumper on the driver's side is all messed up, like it got dragged or something.
On May 7, my car got taken from right in front of my apartments
On May 7, my car got taken from right in front of my apartments. I made a police report saying it got stolen. Then, on May 11th, I got a call saying it got repossessed. I think they messed up and it's impossible to get in touch with them. I tried making an appointment, but the lender keeps denying it. I don't know what to think now. I never got any notice or anything. And hey, the website says my name is Sabrina Waters? Who the heck is that? The last 6 digits of my vin are ***.

My car got taken away
My car got taken away. This company is a total rip-off. They just keep your ride hostage and charge way too much money. You can only get your wheels back on weekdays, when most folks are grinding. They shut down at 4pm. Their customer service peeps are super rude and don't show any respect. Having your car snatched doesn't mean they can treat you like garbage. You gotta set up a time to grab your wheels. They put up slots for appointments and then turn down your request for that slot.
I talked to the company a bunch of times yesterday 'bout a situation where I had to drop off keys today
I talked to the company a bunch of times yesterday 'bout a situation where I had to drop off keys today. When I called today, they told me they were makin' a new set of keys and that I gotta pay for 'em later, even though they said it was cool for me to bring 'em in today. I asked to talk to the person I spoke to before, but the employee said they got no notes in the system. They say they record their calls, but they couldn't find who I talked to or give me a manager to help fix the problem. I made a bunch of calls between the bank and this business to make sure I was doin' things right, and they gave me the okay over the phone yesterday, but turns out it was bad info that's costin' me money.
The business I'm talking about, Coastline Recovery Services, Inc
The business I'm talking about, Coastline Recovery Services, Inc., has some sketchy business practices with their contracts. They charge us extra for days when we can't physically pick up our stuff or vehicles, even though we already paid for them. They tell our banks that we have a whole week to get our things, but they actually go through our stuff after just 24 hours and then charge us for it. They also add on extra days by saying our account is being reinstated, but our bank already took care of that before we even got our vehicles. They don't have any authority to reinstate anything when our bank does it. When we complain, they just give us the runaround and act like they know what they're talking about, but they really don't. You can easily prove them wrong with the law and policies.
My car got taken by Coastline Recovery Services, Inc
My car got taken by Coastline Recovery Services, Inc. before 6am during a lockdown, curfew, and stay-at-home order declared by the Mayor of [City] and [State]. Their agents went into a gated parking lot with a locked gate and a keypad. They did this before 6am on Friday morning. They used the keypad without the manager or police being there, and they didn't even try to peacefully take the vehicle or ask me for the keys. So they basically broke into the parking lot and the car and towed it away. They did all this when only essential workers were allowed to do business. They don't seem to care about the relief measures for homeowners, tenants, and consumers (XXXX-XXXX) during this pandemic time, with the national stay-at-home order extended by the governor and mayor.
On Thursday, January 13th, a driver from Coastline Recovery Services, Inc
On Thursday, January 13th, a driver from Coastline Recovery Services, Inc. towed my friend's car from my driveway, and it caused damage to my vehicle and private property. The driver decided to hook up a friend's vehicle that was parked in front of mine in my driveway. As a result, my vehicle suffered damage when the driver dragged out my friend's car. To make matters worse, the driver then proceeded to drag the car he was pulling across my front lawn. Now, there are black paint marks on my car's bumper, and its alignment has been messed up. Additionally, the driver left deep tire marks on my lawn and tore it up in a couple of spots. Furthermore, there is a cracked concrete ribbon across the front caused by his truck. Fortunately, I have photos that clearly show all the damage, an estimate from a local body shop, and a neighbor who captured everything on video. Afterward, I promptly went to the local sheriff's station to report these actions.
I got told only half the info or straight up lies 'bout how to get my ride back, and it ended up costin' me hundreds of bucks and maybe even my
I got told only half the info or straight up lies 'bout how to get my ride back, and it ended up costin' me hundreds of bucks and maybe even my job. When I told the boss lady 'bout her employee givin' bad info, she blamed me for listenin' to him. They had folks waitin' for ages, and when I called 'em to say I was outside waitin', they said someone would come out to help, but I waited a freakin' eternity before gettin' any help. The company was real messed up, and the appointment hours didn't match what they had listed online. They told me all I needed was my license to get my car, but that was a load of crap. They also said I wouldn't have to pay nothin', but that was another load of crap. And they promised no holdin' fee, but guess what? They charged me for a holdin' fee anyway.
My car got repo'd
My car got repo'd. They took all my stuff out. They made me sign papers under someone else's name. They wouldn't give me my stuff or change the name to my name, even though I had proof. They're also charging crazy fees that my finance company said I don't have to pay. I went to the address they gave me and waited for over 3 hours. They wouldn't show me my car at all. My finance company even had to move my car because these people were so rude and charging illegal fees. They won't talk to me, won't give me back my stuff, and want me to pay ridiculous fees. They're just keeping my stuff. I'm not the only one with these problems. My finance company couldn't even work with them and won't do business with them anymore. I don't know what else to do. They said my car has damage from being dragged by them. The front of the house had marks from them dragging my Honda.
*** recovery services done messed up big time
recovery services done messed up big time. They straight up stole my ride, man. My car loan got messed up 'cause of COVID and me not being able to work. But I managed to scrape up enough cash to clear the repossession status on Friday, January 29th. But guess what? Those *** Recovery Services jerks came and swiped my wheels right from my driveway on Saturday, January 30th. Can you believe that?
And get this, it was the weekend, so I had to wait 'til Monday morning to even try and get my car back. I mean, come on! My finance company even told *** recovery that they messed up and sent 'em a release order to fix their mistake. But these *** guys are still holding my car hostage, man. They told me I gotta make an appointment just to get my own car back. And the only appointment they had was for the next day. Can you believe the nerve?
So I asked 'em if they could just drop off my car 'cause they straight up stole it illegally. But this lady named *** from the company was hella rude and nasty. She wouldn't even let me talk to a manager, man. She straight up hung up on me! Can you believe that kind of customer service?
These guys still haven't agreed to drop off my car, man. They're making it impossible to work with 'em. It's like they don't even care that they messed up big time. I'm telling you, stay away from *** recovery services. They're a bunch of crooks.
So, I had my car taken away by the repo guys
So, I had my car taken away by the repo guys. I sorted things out with my Lienholder and then I reached out to Coastline Recovery Services, the ones who have my car, to find out how much it would cost to get it back. But let me tell you, for like a whole week and a half, these Coastline people have been avoiding telling me the fees for recovery and storage. They've been giving me the runaround and dodging my basic questions. It's pretty clear they're doing it on purpose because they charge me for every single day they have my car sitting there. And now, after almost two weeks, they finally tell me the cost is based on how long they had my car. They intentionally held back on telling me their regular fees so they could pile up the charges on me. They've been super evasive. Their website doesn't say anything about the costs, and their operators wouldn't give me any answers until today. They could have just given me these simple answers when I first talked to them, but no, they made me wait almost two weeks.
On October 5, my car got towed from my crib by these recovery dudes and taken to Sun Valley, Cali
On October 5, my car got towed from my crib by these recovery dudes and taken to Sun Valley, Cali. I picked up my ride on 10/7 and noticed it was making some gnarly grinding noises when I hit the brakes. I took it to the mechanics and they said the brakes were all metal on metal because of the tow job. So, I hit up Coastline Recovery to see if I could get some cash back for the new brakes and rotors. When I called them up, they told me I gotta call my finance company to start a claim. That's cool, but when I asked for the name of the chick helping me, she straight up hung up on me. I called back and explained everything again to a new lady and asked for her name, and she also hung up on me. I called a third time, explained the situation once more, and without saying anything, the chick put me on hold for over an hour. Every few minutes, someone would pick up, I'd say hello, and they'd put me back on hold without saying squat. This so-called "customer service" is beyond messed up. If they were giving me the right info, why'd they hang up on me? Also, when you call their office at XXX-XXX-XXXX, the recording says they record the calls, so they should have recordings of all this nonsense. I hope someone can help me out here. I wanna file a claim to get reimbursed for their incompetence and the damage to my car.
