Amazing Company
I can go on and on about this company, but I'll give you my short list of why this company has got my business.
1. Amazing customer service - I received a broken super shock shadow and they sent a replacement same day for free! Their CS team is on top and always reply very quickly.
2. Their products are so unique and original.
3. They listen to their customers. We want nudes, they make nudes. We want yellow eye shadow, they bust out yellow eye shadow.
4. Love that they always have a sale, promo, and free shipping over $35.
I've been buying Colourpop since July 2016 and I'm hooked! If you know how to use their products, you'll be a fan for life.

I ordered my product and I not only got what I asked for, but 2 extras. It was great. The color is amazing for 6$ each (only spent around 26$ and got 5 lipsticks) and free shipping. Came within 5 days, and a confirmation of arrival. I've NEVER gotten that. I don't understand the bad reviews, maybe it's a person by person basis but I have no complaints. Sent me booklets and stuff and not just the product to show they put consideration into each order they ship. Great, great company, and willing to wait 5 days for orders (Tennessee from California) to get something cheaper than the drugstore but waaaaay more worth it and an overall better product.

The best lipstick i have ever bought and i'm 63
This is literally the BEST lipstick i have ever purchased... I have very full lips even at 63 yrs old. And my one problem always is having to reapply after eating or drinking just about anything. I was at a sushi bar and the girl working there had the most lusicious lipstick on... she also had very full lips. I asked her where did she buy that lipstick and she gave me this website. And said it was only 6 dollars. I figured what the heck. I order just the 1 and paid the shipping. But to my surprise. It was awesome. I now have ordered not only 3 more tubes but an abundance of other products too. And got the free shipping. This lipstick literally wont smudge, or even kiss off..., ya ladies us 63 yr old girls STILL kiss. Lol. You wont be disappointed..

Ok I have ordered from Colourpop over 20 times not even exaggerating. And only once in the past year and a half since I have been buying from them has a product came damaged. It was one super shock shadow (I had about 10 I that order) and it was slightly cracked so I just repressed it and it was good as new. Never have I had to wait more than 10 days from the day I ordered to receive a package but they are based out of LA and I live in Washington State so Im fairly close. The shadows are incredibly pigmented and I love the super shock highlighters they are blinding. The only product Im not a huge fan of is ultra matte lips but that could just be me Im more of a glossy lip person but I do love matte X lippie sticks because they are matte without being drying. This is one of my ride or die brands right next to my tarte products.
Great Costumer Service, Good Product
While they have been taking especially long on processing lately, they let me know in to expect it a little later as soon as I placed my order.
I just received my order to day (about a week later than would have been normal) and they gave me free Super Shock eyeshadow with a little "sorry we're late" card! How sweet. They're totally aware of this issue and say it's because business has been booming recently and it's difficult to keep up. I think they're trying to get their stuff together and should be better about that soon enough.
Plus, that shadow was probably $5, which is how much I paid for my lippie stick, so I basically got a BOGO deal.
The lippie stick feels creamy and is nice and pigmented. My only complaint is that the pictures on the website aren't very accurate - they always appear WAY lighter. Watching some swatches on YouTube helped though, so I wasn't surprised with how the one I ordered looked.
The seller was refusing refund got full refund from paypal claim
For for months I never got the product I ordered. The seller was refusing refund. I told the seller to provide enough evidence that they actually shipped the order in first place, as package could not be tracked with the tracking number that they provided. I told them to check where their tracking number leads them to. But the customer care does not seem to understand. I made payment with paypal. So I opened a paypal case against seller and made a claim saying the seller could not provide enough evidence that the order was shipped. Within a day my case closed on my favour! I GOT FULL REFUND. The seller later mailed saying they checked the tracking and found that the package was held in sorting facility. Like for 4 months! It was never shipped! And they could not accept their mistake in first place. Please know that online customers have rights and it is responsibility of seller to provide valid tracking. Dont let the customer care fool you. I just dont trust colourpop anymore

I love colourpop and all their products! Sometimes it takes a while to get ur order but they are upfront about that and always say it takes about two weeks! This is only because of their high demand! They have a beautiful range of colors and products! Awesome wear and pigmentation! As for their customer service I know they recently sent out an email that they were hiring more staff in order to keep up with the demand for their products! All my expirinces have been great! On one order of mine I received 2 of the same quad "where the night is" instead of "where the light is"! I emailed them and shortly after they issued me a refund, sent me the correct quad and told me to keep the extra one! Also one time my package took about 3weeks to get to me so when I finally received it there was an apology note and some free items included! So in my experience they have awsome customer service! They are just very busy so be patient! Trust me whatever comes in that little (or big) colourpop box is totally worth the wait!

I absolutely love this company. After I placed my order, I was a little nervous with the bad reviews. Are we even dealing with the same company? Customer service answered all my questions quickly. I ordered on the 31st and had my items on the 11 in Canada! WOW! The colours are amazing. While sure the palettes aren't as large as say Urban decay, but 12 compared to 70 in price? I love their brow creme, and that price? I paid over 50 for something not near as good. I am a fan, and I don't see a reason to buy from anyone else but Colourpop! EDIT... I am still in love with the products but not so much with Customer Service. I had an issue with the company delivering called TFORCE. Okay, it would be an issue with TFORCE, and partly it was, but it was CP's response that was on them. I made my issue clear, which was TFORCE refused to deliver item. I emailed CP immediately, and a few days later they said... Oh no worries Canada Post does it all the time. Nope, it wasn't being delivered by them. They completely ignore issues even after several emails. ADVISE If you are not in US order from someone who cares more that you actually get your product
Disappointing Experience with ColourPop: Negligent Shipping Practices and Unresponsive Customer Service
I recently made a purchase from ColourPop, and I must say that I was quite disappointed with my experience. I ordered a good amount of products from their website, and when my package finally arrived, I was hit with some pretty hefty fees. Apparently, the company did not declare the package in line with international shipping rules, which caused me to pay more than I should have.
To make matters worse, they declared an incorrect and higher value than what I had actually bought. This meant that I had to pay higher taxes, which was frustrating, but that was not the worst part. They did not declare the shipping costs at all, which is standard practice and a must on international orders. As a result, I had to endure the consequences of their negligent behavior and pay horrendous fees that are due if you don't declare shipping. I have to pay for their mistake, and it's not fair.
I have ordered from the US at least 40 times, and not once did it happen that a company didn't bother to declare my package correctly. It's usual practice in international business, and I expect ColourPop to know and play by those very simple rules. It would have been so easy to just add an "incl. Shipping" next to the total amount, but they didn't bother.
To add insult to injury, customer service took ages to respond, and they won't accept to pay the fine or even refund me some of my money. I have been ordering from foreign online shops for nearly 10 years now, and never did I ever have to deal with such a hideous company. I would not recommend buying from ColourPop, as they clearly do not care about their international customers.
ColourPop Review: Poor Shipping, Customer Support, and Product Quality - Shop Elsewhere
So, let me tell you about my experience with ColourPop. It all started on November 5th, 2019, when I placed an order for an eyeliner and a palette with 12 eyeshadows. I was excited to receive my order, and it arrived in just four days from the USA to Germany. However, my excitement quickly turned to frustration when my parcel got stuck in Germany for a whole month.
To make matters worse, a friend of mine had placed an order on the same day as me, and her parcel got lost. But, she was offered a refund or a replacement right away. I, on the other hand, had to wait a week to hear back from Customer Support, and when I did, they just sent me their policy. I already knew there was an issue, so this was not helpful at all.
After more than a month, they finally decided to resend my order, but no refund was allowed. And, once again, it got stuck in Germany according to the tracking. Today, on January 21st, 2020, I finally received my order, and guess what? The indicated date on the package was November 6th, 2019. That's over two months ago!
To make matters worse, all of my eyeshadows arrived without the palette because it was out of stock, and no replacement was allowed. They were all separated, which was awful. How was I supposed to use them and keep them organized?
To add insult to injury, some of the colors on the package had the same name as the ones I ordered, but they looked totally different in reality than on their official website. I attached photos with the name on the package in the mirror and on the site. They were supposed to be more pinky and bordo, but all of them were brown.
I don't need their voucher for a palette base. I'm not going to take that risk again. This was my first time ordering from ColourPop, and it was a huge disappointment. Their customer support service was very poor and not helpful at all.
In conclusion, I would not recommend ordering from ColourPop. Their shipping and customer support services are lacking, and the products may not be as advertised. Save yourself the frustration and shop elsewhere.
Unfair Credit Policy: My Experience with Colourpop.com
Colourpop.com is a website that I recently had a bad experience with. They gave me a credit for two items that I paid for but did not receive. However, the credit had an expiry date of three months. I don't think this is fair because they have my money and they can't just keep it without giving me anything in return. This is against California Law, which says that there should be no expiry period for credits. They owe me merchandise because I gave them money. The credit they gave me is like a gift card, and it only applies to their store and their merchandise. The items I wanted to buy are out of stock now, and I don't want any other product. Why give me only three months hoping they restock what I originally ordered? This is not fair to their customers.
I tried to talk to them about this issue, but they didn't seem to care. They only offered me a one-time monetary return, which I took. I used to be a fan of Colourpop.com, but I won't be a customer anymore. I value integrity and fairness in life and in business, and they didn't show that to me. They have many competitors, so I'm not losing anything by not shopping with them anymore.
I hope they change their policies and treat their customers better in the future. It's important to remember that customers are the backbone of any business, and they should be treated with respect and fairness.
ColourPop Disappoints: Order Mix-Up and Discontinued Items
So, I heard a lot of good things about ColourPop from my peeps and fam, and I decided to get some Christmas gifts for them from ColourPop. I placed my order on Nov18 and waited patiently for my package to arrive. But, to my surprise, I received someone else's package on Dec7. I was like, "What the heck?!" So, I went to their website and followed the instructions to send them an email with pictures of the items I received and the box it came with.
After a few days, they replied to me and told me that the items I ordered were discontinued. I was like, "What?! Why didn't they tell me that before?" They gave me a coupon code for the amount of money I spent, but the coupon expires in 3 months and cannot be used during a sale. I was like, "Come on, man! That's not cool!" I replied back to them and told them that I never received any notification that my ordered items were discontinued. I even showed them the shipping and order confirmation email that I received.
But, they replied back to me and said that they can only offer me the coupon and not a full refund. I was like, "That's not fair! I don't want to buy items that I never intended to purchase!" I even told them that I might report this incident to BBB and file a dispute of charge with my credit card company. Finally, they emailed me back and said that they will offer a one-time courtesy refund.
Although this transaction has been quite upsetting, I am very happy to receive my refund. However, I wished that it was easier and they would be more considerate of the situation. I don't think I will ever be ordering from ColourPop again because I don't want to go through this kind of hassle again.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with ColourPop: Unable to Exchange Item and Limited Response Time

I immediately sent an email to their customer service department asking if they could switch the item in my order to the correct one since they were both the same price. ColourPop's customer service team responded to my email on May 4th, two days later, while I was at work. They informed me that they were unable to exchange the item for anything else and the only option was to cancel my entire order. I would have been okay with that, but I didn't have a chance to respond. I was at work all day and unable to check my email. I only had a small four-hour window to respond before they shipped out my package. I was disappointed that they didn't give me more time to respond, especially since I had to wait up to two days for their response.
I was frustrated with the situation, and unfortunately, I no longer trust ColourPop's customer care department. I believe that a company should give their customers at least 24 hours to respond to an issue with their order. It's only fair, especially since we have to wait for their response.
To make matters worse, I asked if I could send back the wrongly ordered item, but the representative, Cindy, informed me that they do not accept returns due to the low cost of the item. I'm now stuck with something that I don't want, and I'm not sure what to do with it.
Overall, I'm disappointed with my experience with ColourPop. I had high hopes for their customer service, but unfortunately, they didn't meet my expectations. I'm now disputing the charge with my credit card company, and I hope that I can get this issue resolved soon.
Colourpop's Inaccurate Product Information: A Consumer's Disappointment
I gotta say, my first time ordering from Colourpop was last October and I was blown away by how fast the shipping was and how amazing the quality of the products I bought were. I mean, I haven't been let down by the quality of the products I've personally purchased yet, but when Colourpop decided to come out with pressed powdered products, I was totally on board and excited. I mean, who wouldn't be, right?
Naturally, I decided to pick up all the colors that I was interested in and new releases that were recently put out for spring. However, the only reason I am currently disappointed with Colourpop is because when a consumer like myself visits their website and reads the product information (which I highly suggest everyone should), it will state what finish it is, the color's undertone, and the AMOUNT of product you'll be receiving.
The website states each shadow brings 1.5g/0.05oz per eyeshadow, which is very inaccurate, varies eyeshadow to eyeshadow, and is completely unfair to anyone making perhaps their first purchase. I have certain shades that only contain 1.0g/. 0.35oz of eyeshadow and at this point, I feel like I got jipped because if you're putting this information out on a website and when you receive the item it isn't true, how else should a person feel?
Maybe it's not a big deal to some because they'll admit that it's an affordable brand, but IF a pressed eyeshadow brings less than 1.5g/0. 0. 05oz, then PLEASE print that on the website for each eyeshadow that doesn't because I understand you're trying to make sales, but things like this for me as a consumer personally tick me off.
I purchased from other brands online who I will not mention that are ALSO very affordable brands and they don't LIE about how much product you'll be receiving, so get your act together Colourpop and be MORE honest with your customers, Thanks!
ColourPop's Poor Customer Service and No Refund Policy
So, I ordered from ColourPop and my package went missing. I reached out to them a couple of times and they just told me to keep waiting and contact USPS. I did what they said and asked them to submit a search request, but they wouldn't do it. They just kept telling me to wait.
After two weeks, I got fed up and asked for a refund. Finally, they responded and told me to submit a missing claim myself and they would send a replacement. Why didn't they tell me this before? I had to ask for a refund to get this information. I filed the claim, but USPS said they couldn't find the package.
I contacted ColourPop again and demanded a refund, but they just said they would send a replacement. I don't want a replacement, I want my money back! According to the Federal Trade Commission, if a seller can't ship within the promised time, they have to notify the customer and give them the chance to cancel for a full refund. But ColourPop just said they have a no refund policy.
This means they can just take your money and not care if you ever get your products. They obviously don't care about their customers. If you want to be frustrated and have your money taken from you, keep shopping with them. But I wouldn't recommend it.
ColourPop's Refund and Return Policy is a Nightmare - 2 Stars
I've bought from ColourPop three times now and the first two times were great, I got my order in a reasonable amount of time and everything was perfect. I would give them a 5-star rating for those two orders. However, my third order was a complete nightmare and it has brought my rating down to 2 stars. I really appreciate companies that handle customer issues and complaints in a reasonable way, but ColourPop's refund and return policy has shown me that they are not one of those companies. I don't think I'll be buying from them again unless it's in a physical store where I can see the product in person.
ColourPop has a policy where they don't accept returns, refunds, or exchanges because their products are low-cost. This policy applies even if you never receive your purchases. For my most recent order, I saw that my package was last scanned in a town 15 minutes away from me, but for three days it was being updated with the same message as being on its way to my location. I reached out to ColourPop about it and they told me to be patient and that there wasn't anything they could do. They suggested that I should reach out to USPS myself if I wanted to track my package.
After a few more days, I reached out to ColourPop again and they told me that they were having similar issues with orders that were shipped on that date and that I should be patient. I asked how much longer I should expect to wait and they told me that if I saw no updates by the 14th (today), I should reach out to them and they would look into it.
Today came and still no package or updates from USPS. I reached out to ColourPop AGAIN and they told me that I should call USPS or visit the local office to file a missing package claim. I told them that I would rather just get a refund because I don't have the time to chase down a package and I think the company should take a more proactive stance on locating the package. That's when they told me about their non-policy policy and that the only way they would ship a replacement package is if I filed a claim with USPS. I went to file a claim and USPS told me that my package was not eligible to file a claim. sigh... face palm
I contacted ColourPop again and they told me that as a "one-time" courtesy, they would ship me a replacement package. Here's where my issues lie:
(1) If a consumer has a missing package, the company should be more involved in the process of locating the package. Telling me to go to my local post office on a wild goose chase is not helpful. You have an invested interest in me getting my package. If I have to spend 30/45/60 minutes in the post office or on the phone with them just to locate a package, I might as well go to a store and buy the makeup because that would take less time.
(2) If my package is lost, it should NOT be a one-time courtesy to send me a replacement. That should be the standard procedure. I can understand if I got my package and wanted to return it, but that's not the case. I should not have to run around to get you to acknowledge that my package is lost. Also, if at any point my package gets lost in the mail, it's ColourPop's duty to send me a replacement or provide a refund (of which they don't). That one-time courtesy bit is nonsense. So that means that if I order from them again and my package gets lost, I'm pretty much out of luck. That policy is so incredibly questionable!
This whole experience has really put a damper on my impression of this company. If I don't get my replacement package in a timely manner, I do intend on disputing this charge directly with my credit card company.

Long time customer- never again- save your money
I've ordered from Colourpop many times over the last -5 years, since ~2018, but I don't think I will be returning. I realize one customer boycotting the brand is not going to bankrupt them, but hopefully my experience will help someone else. I placed an order recently (February 2023) only to have one of the items not show up in the shipment. Not that it necessarily matters, I think it's a matter of principle and treating your customers right, but the order was on the expensive side (especially for this website...) and contained 15+ items. When I contacted customer service via email, they informed me that too much time had elapsed since my order had been dispatched and they were unable to help me. Am I supposed to apologize for being out of town for work and not opening the package the second it arrived? I was very polite in my email exchange, provided supporting documentation in the form of pictures of the items that I had received and the packing slip. This is the response that I received: "Please keep in mind that we have this policy in place to be fair to all of our other customers, we hope you can understand! We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!"? To be fair to your other customers who actually received what they paid for? Fascinating.
For anyone that's wondering, you can purchase Fourth Ray Beauty products at Ulta instead (I did not realize this until recently; I really like some of their moisturizers, I'm sure their ingredients are garbage but that's besides the point here I suppose). I have never had another company (fashion, beauty, skincare, home decor, accessories, anything) fail to ship me an item and not immediately rectify the situation and ship me a new product. Save your money ladies; there's many others brands ranging from bargain to luxury and everything in between who will actually ship you what you paid for! I very rarely write reviews for anything but felt this needed to be said.

The total amount for my order was $38.52, and my bank account was charged this amount the next day, August 7th. On August 9th, I received an email from ColourPop stating that my order (#16742472) had shipped. This email provided a DHL E-Commerce tracking number, which is the same as a USPS tracking number, as DHL eventually transitions the package to USPS for delivery. My tracking number was as follows: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX5***.
On August 21st, I reached out to ColourPop's Customer Service Email since a telephone number is not available or non-working, and I wrote the following: "Hello, my order was shipped via DHL on August 9th, and it is now August 21st with zero updates. DHL does not even have the package, nor does USPS. According to DHL, the shipping method used was DHL SM Parcel Expedited, which takes 2-5 business days with one additional day due to COVID. Please advise as it has now been two weeks since my item "shipped," yet no updates have been received from DHL. Can you resend my package via FedEx? Thanks, Kat Fortney."
On August 24th, Hailey S. responded, stating, "We've contacted our shipping partners, and it looks like due to COVID-19 related delays between DHL and USPS, tracking may show as delayed in the transition between DHL and your local post office. Not to worry, your package is still moving! They have informed us that tracking information may be delayed up to 4-7 business days beyond normal transit times, but please keep us posted!"
On August 27th, I responded to Hailey's email with the following: "Thank you for your response. My package was shipped out on August 9th, and it is now August 27th. If the normal shipping time is 2-5 business days, this would mean my package should have been delivered between August 10-18th. If an additional 4-7 business days are added, this would mean my package should have been delivered today (August 27th) or earlier. However, the package has not moved/updated since August 9th, and USPS does not have possession of the package. This means my package has not had shipping fulfilled within the specified timeframe. Again, I am requesting a new package be provided to me via FedEx or a refund be issued. If neither option is acceptable, then if my package is not received by September 8th (a full 30 days), I will dispute the full charge with my bank as I have paid for a product and not received it. Thanks! Kat Fortney."
On August 28th, Hailey S. responded with the following: "We're so sorry for the issue with your order! We understand that we are past typical shipping times; however, most packages still get delivered even though they were delayed. No need to worry, we know how excited you are to try your new goodies! We would love to issue a replacement for your order due to this inconvenience." Hailey then asked for me to confirm my address, even though they already had this information on file. Today, August 31st, I responded with the following information, which is incredibly frustrating and indicates fraud: "Hello, I have confirmed with DHL that your company never sent my package for distribution. They received an electronic label scan only, and this was on August 9th. They advised me to contact your company for a resolution since money has now been stolen from me (by ColourPop). Since your company has taken money from my bank account and not shipped my paid-for products to me, I am requesting you either: 1. Fulfill my order ASAP and ship it via FedEx 2 Day. I have been waiting for nearly a month for my products only to find out ColourPop never processed my order. 2. Provide me with a full refund since your customer service representatives advised me TWICE that my package was definitely being delivered and clearly did not research my order at all. If they had researched, they would have noticed my package was never actually shipped. Only a label was created. If you refuse to reship my EXACT order via 2 Day FedEx or refund the full price I paid for unfulfilled items, I will file a complaint with ComplaintsBoard.com and/or dispute charges with my bank. Unfortunately, if disputing charges adds me to a blacklist, so be it since I am less than pleased with the customer service I have received."
Lastly, when speaking to DHL today, they advised me that my tracking number had actually sat in their system for so long without them (DHL) ever receiving the package to go along with the shipping label, the tracking number was removed from their system. If you attempt to track my package now, you will receive an error stating the tracking number does not exist. Per FTC regulations and two federal laws, I am fully protected in the event ColourPop refuses to accommodate my requests.
ColourPop Review: Disappointing Quality and Non-Existent Customer Service
So I was browsing the ColourPop website and saw they were having a sale. I was pretty excited because who doesn't love a good deal, right? But then I noticed something strange. When ColourPop has a sale, you can either use the sale price or a discount code, but not both. I was eyeing their new Bare Necessities palette, which was listed for $30 and claimed to be 33% off the original price. I did the math and realized that the original price must have been around $44-$45. That's a pretty steep price for an eyeshadow palette, but I figured the sale was worth it.
However, things started to go downhill from there. When I received my palette, I noticed that some of the eyeshadows were dinged and had small chunks missing. The palette itself was dirty and the eyeshadows were moving around inside. I was pretty disappointed because even for $30, I expected better quality. I reached out to ColourPop via email to ask about the issue, but my message was ignored.
To make matters worse, I opened another palette and found that one of the shades was missing. It wasn't damaged in transit because the palette was clean. This means that the palette left the warehouse without being checked, which is pretty concerning. It's clear that ColourPop doesn't care about quality control or their customers. They just want to make a quick buck.

After about three months and over 20 emails, my order still hadn't shipped and ColourPop refused to issue a refund. They kept telling me that my order was "processing" as they got their fulfillment center back up and running. It's hard to understand why they would waste so much time and resources giving customers the runaround instead of just issuing a refund and making them happy. I would have been happy to come back and order from them again in the future, but their disrespectful treatment of customers has turned me off.
Their makeup isn't bad, but it's not Pat McGrath in an $8 palette either. I'm super irritated at this point and have initiated a chargeback through my credit card company. ColourPop's New Foundation Launch: Order Issues and Unfair Concealer Packaging
So, I made three orders on the 14th of June when ColourPop launched their new foundation. But, it's been a few days now and my products haven't been shipped yet. I asked for a refund instead, but they told me that the order couldn't be changed, cancelled, or refunded because the 'packing' had already started. But, it's been three days and still nothing has been sent. It's like they're holding my money hostage and will only send the products when they feel like it. I mean, if the packaging has already started, shouldn't it only take two days at most for them to send my stuff? I don't even want the items anymore, I just want my money back and to be done with this company.
Also, their concealers are always below half full, which means you have to buy another one sooner than you would have to from other makeup companies that provide concealers in the same sized package. It's like they're trying to make more money off of us by giving us less product. It's not fair.
Now, I might have to take this matter (and the issue with the concealers) to court just to get my refunds. They're not responding to my customer service emails, PayPal, or social media comments. This is my first time experiencing this with this company, but it will definitely be my last. After I hopefully get my refund back, I'm done with them. It's ridiculous the way they're ignoring me and won't simply refund my money for products I don't have or were never sent to begin with.
The orders say they're 'processing', but they took the money out of my account a long time ago. I just want my refunds. It's not too much to ask for, right? I hope they'll do the right thing and give me my money back soon.
ColourPop Review: Good Eyeshadows, Terrible Customer Service and Defective Eyeliners. Use PayPal for Protection
So, I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with ColourPop. I mean, I got the same email response from like three different people, which was pretty frustrating. And I had to send like 15 emails back and forth just to get them to look at the photos I sent them of the defective eyeliners I got. And even then, they wouldn't replace them! Like, come on, guys, I'm not asking for the moon here, just some decent eyeliner that doesn't crumble to dust in my hand.
I'm giving them two stars because the eyeshadows I got were actually pretty good. But honestly, I saw all these bad reviews online and I thought, "Nah, those people are just being whiny babies." But nope, turns out they were right. This company is a total scam. They know it, too, because their email responses were all like, "Oh, sorry, we get complaints like this all the time, but we can't do anything about it." Like, seriously? You can't even pretend to care?
I'm telling all my makeup-loving friends not to buy from ColourPop. They're just not worth it. Honestly, they're the worst company I've ever dealt with, except maybe for that one time I lived in a nightmare apartment complex.
But here's the thing: if you do decide to buy from them, make sure you use PayPal. I used to work for PayPal, and I know for a fact that they'll have your back if something goes wrong. If you file a dispute with PayPal, they'll take the money out of ColourPop's account and give it back to you if you send the products back. So at least there's that.
ColourPop Review: Bad Lippie Stix and Lip Crayon Bundle, Terrible Customer Service
So, I've ordered from ColourPop twice now. My most recent order was a little over $100, which is a pretty decent size order for me. Overall, everything was good except for the three lippies I received.
The Lippie Stix in OH Snap had a really strong crayon smell, and not the good kind of crayon smell. It was pretty gross. We all know that when a lipstick smells like crayon, it's probably old. There's no way around it.
The Lip Crayon Chubby Bunny Bundle had two lipsticks that smelled like sweet mildew. It was so bad that I had to wipe it off my lips.
When I reached out to customer service, they treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about. They insisted that the products were new, but there's no way that's true. All three of these products smelled so bad that no one would use them. It's clear that their customer service lies and doesn't care about helping their customers.
As a business owner myself, I know that if I conducted business like this, I wouldn't have a business for very long. I won't be shopping with ColourPop again, and I hope that others who have had bad experiences will understand that there are plenty of other great companies out there to shop with.
At the end of the day, the culture of a company starts at the top, so I blame the owners for this poor experience.
On the bright side, thanks to my credit card company, I will be getting my money back.
ColourPop's Terrible Customer Service and Order Mix-Up
So, me and my roomie decided to give ColourPop a try. We placed our orders and paid for the products and shipping. But, after waiting for over a week, we didn't hear anything from them. I was getting pretty antsy, so I decided to hit them up and ask where our stuff was. Finally, they sent me a tracking number. Alright, cool. But, when I checked the tracking a few days later, it said that the package had been delivered. I asked my roomie if she had seen anything, and she said she had received a package from ColourPop. But, when we opened it up, we found out that they had combined our orders into the same box! What the heck, man? That can't be legal!
To make matters worse, my tracking number was on the box addressed to my roomie. So, technically, she could have kept my stuff if she wanted to. I was pretty ticked off, so I emailed their customer service. But, they told me that they have no control over their system combining orders. What kind of excuse is that? I've never heard of a company doing something like that before. And, to top it off, they wouldn't even promise me that they wouldn't do it again. They also refused to give me a refund for anything, not even the shipping.
I even made a claim with PayPal, but they're siding with the business and won't even look at the photos I have of all the items being in a box addressed to another person. It's ridiculous! What if it had been a gift? Or what if my roomie had decided to keep my stuff and not tell me? I would have been out $30, and ColourPop wouldn't have cared at all. Their customer service is just terrible. I've never experienced anything like this before.

Let me tell you, they were not helpful at all. I sent them a message explaining the situation, but they just kept telling me to do things I had already done. It was so frustrating! I had to send them multiple messages just to get them to give me a timeline for when I could contact them again. And even then, they didn't seem to care about my problem.
Finally, they agreed to reship my order, but they didn't even enter my full address! Can you believe that? So, when it got to USPS, they had to send it back to the sender. I messaged ColourPop again, but they didn't even acknowledge my request for a refund. Instead, they offered me a coupon, which I didn't want. I just wanted my money back!
After a lot of back and forth, they finally agreed to give me a refund. But they made it clear that it was a "one time courtesy". Like, what does that even mean? I was so frustrated with them by that point. They just didn't seem to care about my problem at all.
Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience with ColourPop. They didn't listen to me, and they didn't seem to care about my problem. I definitely won't be ordering from them again.

I would appreciate your looking into this matter as soon as possible and letting me know the status of my order. I have been using your products for quite a while and really like them, but I am uncomfortable that i have not been able to make contact with anyone regarding this matter. Today July 1 2022 I received an email from colour pop advertising free shipping, I live in Canada so this is a big deal. Looking more closely at the add I see that for 'FREE' shipping I must spend 80.00. This is mileading and certainly NOT free shipping. Stop doing this, its unethical and you do it all the time.It pisses me off and I will not be ordering anything because you mislead me. Thanks.

Hocus pocus palette
For Christmas I bought the hocus pocus bundle as a gift along with other palettes. It took about 3 weeks to arrive and when it did the eyeshadow palette had some colors that were broken and mixed with others. I emailed them right away and since it was Christmas time it was going to take long for them to send a replacement. So I found another one at another place that arrived in two days so I no longer needed the one color pop. Even though it wasn’t my fault that my package arrived broken after having to wait three weeks and it wasn’t for me. Unfortunately colourpop.com does not do refunds. Even though the product came broken they couldn’t do an exception because of the policy and covid. This was my first time buying products from their website and is my last time I will shop there. Things happens and I understand the return policy but what you can do if it’s out of your hands? Is it the customers fault. I learned that they obviously do not value customers and will never shop on the direct website again. I was very unhappy with the fact that they couldn’t make an exception for THEIR BROKEN PRODUCT. Next time if I want something from color pop I will consider just shopping at ulta they actually do care there and they’re customer service is awesome.

I paid $78.70 for an order $13.80 of which was shipping. The order was place on the 5th of May and cleared UK customs on the 17th May. Since then I have had no updates from any of the delivery services and have had to frequently contact them resulting in the same generic information being provided - being that I should contact Colourpop. I have contacted colourpop over 4 times now, one of which being on social media. None of my inquires have been acknowledged and I am unsure of how to get the items I have paid for and/or my money back.

I am regretting so much that I purchased from this company. My tracking says that it was a delivery attempt, but its weird since i never left home in that date.
