Credit card services
Nov 08 2022 I made a payment to Comenity for the balance due as per norm. Comenity came into my checking twice for the balance due, misplaced the money and then denied any knowledge of the whole incident. I tried repeatedly to speak with a Supervisor and resolve this issue, several text and eventually had my bank investigate them.
Several months later no money was retrieved from Comenity. My account never reflected real time activity and remained in dispute for months. My bank did provide provisional compensation. Last attempt to communicate with Comenity was pointless. As our money was replaced by my bank, the original debt remained, so I thought. So I tried to pay it after the dispute period as a statement detated to do so. Allegedly payment was received and then returned to my bank. Each amount was different, the payment was for one amount, taking into consideration some returns which when combined with the payment amount would meet the balance.
The returned amount is a totally different figure, possibly one of the original payments lost last Nov 2022? Regardless this account is locked and closed. Over 20yrs with BOA Visa never an issue! AAA is asleep at the wheel...
Desired outcome: Apology and accurate account balance with Comenity, possible compensation for the duress and removal of any unmerited negatives to Credit Bureau Agency.
Scam stole money from me!
I paid them off a year ago they then after being paid off charged me $2 in interest that I had no idea about. So they called today and said I owe them $180 with late fees and interest. I told the lady I paid it off. She looked and said oops I can wave the late fees but not the interest. So I had to pay $40 and take hit on my credit score. Total scam. Don't get their credit cards ever!
Desired outcome: Money back that I paid and corrwction to credit bureaus.
Comenity Ulta Credit Card
Comenity Ulta credit card is strictly predatory. I paid my balance in full every month and would still somehow have service charges for odd amounts, like 34 cents even if I didn’t carry a balance to the next due date. So, again, I paid balance in full and closed the account because who wants to be nickeled and dimed? Well my AMEX account (which also gets paid in full every month) alerts me that I’ve been reported as having a delinquent account. Apparently, after I closed my account Comenity applied another random service charge to the closed account. So what started as a 14 cent fee is now 35 dollars after a couple of months. I am furious. Stay away from these lecherous people and go with a safer credit card choice!
Desired outcome: Drop the ridiculous service fee and send an apology to my credit history.
After speaking with several customer service representatives, I was finally forwarded to debt consolidation department. Once there, I was quickly able to resolve the issue to the best possible outcome; the slate was wiped clean. So no more floating charges out in the ether. Complaint Resolved.
credit card application
Applied for a AAA Credit Card and had to call the fraud line (as per the letter I received from Comenity Bank) to tell them I had removed a credit freeze. Had to call 3 times, the third time the lack of customer service rep (whom I could barely understand) was rude and put me on hold for over 8 minutes telling me I had to wait 24 hours to let them know it was temporarily removed. I was following the specific instructions from the 2nd customer service rep had given me.
The lack of communication at the bank is ridiculous. The first customer service who works in the fraud department told me I had to deal with Equifax, guess he doesn't know his job either.
Thanks to their dog and pony show I will gladly not do business with them and no longer request a card.
Too bad no one takes pride in their work any longer.
Comenity -- thanks for being such a mixed-up jumbled mess. Glad to know before I started to give you any of my business.
Desired outcome: nothing as I will not deal with such incompetence.
Unprofessional customer service
On August 15, 2023 I called Comenity Caesars Rewards Visa Customer Support at [protected] at 16:13 PDT (call lasted 22 minutes) and spoke to fraud department rep regarding declining transactions.
The phone connection was low volume with background noise. I had to double take many questions but she still was rushing through series of questions. I was set aback by discourteous unprofessional manner of speaking. She asked me 4-5 questions and apparently some of the answers were incorrect so the bank closed my account on the spot. She has given me no apologies and neither informed me of any further actions.
Few minutes later I called Customer Service and they explained to me that the bank apparently had tried to call me to verify transactions. They had not, the phone number listed on my account was correct and I received no calls.
I have had no fraudulent transactions on my account and have been making payments in time via auto-pay.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology and account re-opened. Comenity is unfortunately is affiliated with Caesar's Rewards program and I would like to continue my membership with Caesar's Rewards.

I am being charged for merchandise I don't have, items were returned
Items were returned on October 13th unopened. Three packages were returned on October 13, 2022. Jessica London told me they received one of the packages. I have been sending a letter to them every month when I receive a statement. I received a letter they said they were looking into it. They asked for the order number I sent that to them. It says I will not be charged until the dispute is over. They have been charging me for late fees charges, from $164 to now I owe $256.35 for items I do not have. I don't even know how the merchandise looks. I sent them the pictures of the 3 packages, I took pictures before I mailed them, with date sent Return to sender, REFUSED on all three packages. The collection called me on April 5th he said they received 2 packages I am still being charged for items I don't have. I do not want to pay for items I don't have. Now they have threatening to make my credit bad, Chris from collection agency was very rude. I was stressed, I thought he was calling me to tell me he found the packages that was sent in October 2022. Please tell me what steps I should take. I do not have any merchandise from Jessica London. attached is the picture I took when I mailed the packages dates, with return on them.
Desired outcome: I have been a long time customer, Jessica London should just drop the charges of $164. It isn't my fault they received only one or two packages that was returned unopened on October 13th 2022
Brylane homes account
I have sent proof that these items were picked up by FedEx and returned to Brylane Homes! This bank has harassed me for almost 2 years! They have totally ignored the proof I sent! Now they have turned it over to Midland Collection Agency! I am very upset! So since they've done this I will be filing complaint with Consumer Affairs at the Attorney General office! I will be sending them the proof and hopefully they can help me resolve this!
Desired outcome: Want this account closed and notify Midland!
Seeking Reinstatement to Comenity BJs account
Dear Customer Service Rep,
My info is A. Chance, 3230 Sorrel St, York, Pa 17404, Contact [protected]
I notified you via Secure Messages in January 2023, I was unable to do any business with capitol one for legal reasons. In writing, I received a response
stating this can be accomplished with your easy pay online payment service.
In on 3-9-23, I spoke with a managing supervisor, Amber, ID # 2331 to alert Comenity of not being to make the payment due to my login credentials had been removed per Amber's verification. She also verified why a payment sent
on 2-22-23 was sent to capitol one although not sent by me.
I did contact capitol one Keyahne, ID # JEJ476 on 3-23,27-23 without any
resolution. I then spoke with a rep , Carlos, on 3-22,27-2023 of BJ to seek resolution. He requested I go back to Comenty and request they fufill their
written agreement via secure messaging. I then contacted Fransico ID #71A229 to speak with Amber but was denied.
Desired outcome: Comenity Bank account reinstatement
comenity bank
I paid $2000 on a bill through my bank's bill pay and it was automatically drafted out of my account to pay Comenity Bank. It posted on Feb 7, 2023, and they sent a new bill stating that we were overdue and charged us interest money.
I provided Comenity with a snapshot showing where the money came out of my account and was paid to them, and they STILL did not accept that as proof of payment. We called several times, and twice the person answering the call was rude and unhelpful. The third call was met with someone who could only say 'sorry'. My next step is to contact Small Claims Court and the Better Business Bureau.
Desired outcome: I want to be credited for what I paid.
Fraud
I sent them a check to pay my total balance in December 2022, by January 2023 they called me saying that I was late, I told them that I had already sent a check with the balance. but they told me they never received the check. So I asked UPS for the tracking number where it says that they received the payment. but they deny having received it, so I sent them another check closing the account but now they are charging me 200 dollars for delays
Desired outcome: I want them to realize what a big mistake they are making. because surely I am not the only person who is taking 200 from me. There must be many more people and this is already a fraud
Credit Card
Hello, On 5/28/2022 I opened a Comenity/Sephora Credit Card I made a charge in October 2022 and paid it off in full in December and closed my account for good measure. This company has constantly hit me with delinquent payments and tanked my credit score by 100 points. 1/19/2023 - $105.00 delinquent payment 2/16/2023 - $148.00 delinquent payment Despite me calling them multiple times and asking them why I have these charges, they told me specifically that my account was closed. My credit score has been affected by 100 points - I can no longer apply for apartments with peace of mind. It's absolutely ridiculous.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund on all my payments after account closing and reversal of the delinquent payments reflected on my credit score
Credit card
My account is in good standing . I have gotten multiple letter
statting due to the “status of my account “ a card can not be issued at this time. I’ve called them over 20x to get this rectified, the call always ends with them asking me security questions me answering all questions correctly , the manager from overstock t stating a card will be sent out in 7 days and then them sending me a letter saying a card can’t be issues and then the cycle repeats itself all over again. I’ve been dealing with this since NOVEMBER 2022
Desired outcome: Ship out my card
Victoria's secret comenity bank - keep charging late fees for the payment that was made back in october 2022
Comenity Bank is an unprofessional, unethical, inefficient, and bureaucratic institution that keeps charging late fees for the amount that was paid 4 months ago and that is in dispute. They call every day from different states and phone numbers to collect the payment for the disputed amount while it is being "investigated" and has been causing emotional and psychological distress for over 4 months now. I have to call several times each month to check on the disputed status and NOBODY knows anything - I get transferred to multiple departments! Their system does not get updated and NO ONE puts any names or information of contact personnel. Their automated e-replies state "Until we find the best resolution for your concern, we won't collect the amount in question or report you as delinquent to the credit reporting agencies", yet they keep charging me EVERY month for late fees. I filed complaints to the Complaints department, BBB, and FDIC.

March 8, 2023 11:30 a.m. 12:00 p.m. Phone conversation with Bread Customer Rep.
I have tried repeatedly to log in to my Comenity Bank accounts …..I mean repeatedly…..I have a AAA Visa and a Bread account that I cannot access. It takes me to the home page where my sign in is automatically stored, I click on it and it takes me to another window with a different format and my sign in info also automatically store. I try to sign in but it just bounces back. I have reset and reset my password many times but then I try to sign in with the new password, I get bounced back to the original stored info. I want to make my payments online but cannot. I need paper statements until this problem is resolved.
I spoke to a customer rep who insisted it wasn't a technical problem and walked me through deleting and re-registering my account. Took me back to my original info but still could not sign in. arghh.
So, so very frustrating!
Gloria Scoyola

Desired outcome: Fix the log-in problem.
I hear you big time! Same thing happened to me. Here's how you log into your account, and it works!
Type in: AAA.com/Advantage.
Boom! You're in and will have access to your account. Comenity will be to the left at the top of the page - Welcome to Account Center Sign In. You'll see AAA VISA Signature Credit Cards.
Now you'll be able to log in like a breeze with no problem.
Enjoy!
Comenity Bank keeps sending me late fee charges on a small purchase of $72.08 which was paid in full and in time.
The Comenity bank acknowledged the receipt of payment on 8/2/22 yet they charged a $29.00 late fee that I did not pay but told them to close the account which they did. The check was actually sent on 7/15/22.
I spoke to them on the phone and they said since the account is closed they cannot reverse the late fee charges. They don't answer my written requests to stop mailing me every month new late fee charges and interest on top of previous late fee charges. The total is now already $262.51.
Again: the late fees are for the unpaid late fees not for the purchase that was paid.
The account is in my wife's name: Brita Darany, [protected]
My Name is Tibor Darany, 974 North Street, Greenwich CT 06831
[protected]@optimum.net
Desired outcome: Credit the account and stop bothering us
File a complaint against them with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I did.
I did the same. Comenity Bank acts in a fraudulent manner with a staff of harassers. I financed my IKEA kitchen with the project card tied to this despicable bank. Paid it off in full and Comenity put a potentially negative flag on my credit reports that I too owe a late fee and am overdue which dinged my FICO score. RUN from anything Comenity as you have to dot every i and cross every t. Absolutely horrid firm.
Comenity = Thiefs
We sent payment several times on time and since they did not cash it they keep charging penalties and fees to customers.
This is their angle to steel from the customer.
On the front end they offer you tons of point to purchase and the bank end they steel from you.
Made payment on the 30th of January to the PO box 650026 Dallas TX 75265 to date they did not cash the check. So they keep charging late fees and interest.
On a 32.00 purchase we have already paid more than 150.00 in late fees and interest.
This is a card where they will steal your money.
Desired outcome: Beware of this bank. They will offer many things up front but eventually they will charge you late fees and interest because they do not cash your check.
AAA Visa Signature
Charged late fee, finance charge. I send my payment seven days ahead, they did not process the payment until ten days after dues date. Their excused is because of the holidays. Canceled the card after I talked to their customer so called services. After I closed the account, I noticed that I have $138.42 cash back to redeem. The customer service said that since I closed the account, I cannot get my cash redeem. Let me repeat, I cannot get MY CASH BACK REDEEM. There are plenty complains about how this company process the payment late and charge their customers fees. I am pissed of at AAA for transferred my AAA Bank Of America to this company. I will contact AAA and will express my dissatisfaction with who they choose to associate.
Desired outcome: Give me what is mine $138.42
problems with this bank is insane.
How to get in TOUCH with billing department OR whomever puts info into the system. I've been on time but you charge me late fees. ok. moving forward. I closed account in April, at this time i had no bill. Then for the whole month of May you had phone solicitors (which you have 20 numbers from all over the country hounding me). Finally, i answered, to be" Sworn at and Accused of", not paying my bill. needless to say i fought with several rude phone solicitor's for yet another month.to find out Comenity wants these people to be rude ,read their privacy and rules.
Finally, a lady figured out what was going on, filed a report, complaint and was reviewed. two months later THEY" Comenity bank, reimbursed me! The same amount of what i had payed,.Then in December comenity bank sends out AGAIN the same BILL! with late charges again. So, i payed off the amount just to get them out of my life. Sent check, they say they did not receive, not late charges and yet another damn bill. WHOS IN CHARGE. do not do any business with this bank
Late/Interest charges for an account I paid in full in Sept. 2022
Really unhappy with their customer service.
February 13, 2023
Dear To Whom It May Concern/Bruce Bowman
In the middle of August 2022 I purchased a gift card and beauty items, costing $47.30, at Ulta Beauty Store in Vacaville, California. The salesperson informed me that my Ultra card had been cancelled due to non-use. At his suggestion I opened a new account and completed the purchase
The statement from Ulta was received the following month and as is my habit, I paid it in full immediately. Of course I assumed this was all under my NEW account.
I assume wrongly as the payment was put on the OLD account number. The next statement received in October showed minus $47.30 and no payment due. Confusing to say the least.
Even more confusing, the next statement a month late from Ultra showed I owed the purchase price of $47.30 and late fee and interest. Remember I had already paid what I owed in full a few months before.
This confusion was passed on to a Comenity Bank representative. He informed me, “the issued would be fixed.” Despite this assurance, Comenity statements showing late fees and interest charges continue to find their way to my mailbox.
A refund check from from Comenity for $47.30 did arrive in late December, indicating the matter had been fixed. But, unfortunately that was not the case, as the next statement included LATE FEES and interest going back to September, which of course I did not pay.
The latest statement form Comenity Bank arrived last Friday. I now owed $252.84 on a $47. 30 of six month old purchase. Much, much worse, I had over the months pointed the mishap to three other Comenity representatives and the issue was now becoming crazy confusing.
On Monday a forth clerk after listing to my frustrations, stated that the best they would do is excuse three of the five late fees and interest. This is totally unacceptable to me as I did pay the bill ON TIME and any late payment was the banks error NOT mine.
Desired outcome: Just that they take off the late/interest charges that were added onto my account. That's all I've asked after 4 phone calls to them. Please call me to let me know of the outcome.
Rewards redemption
On 11/2/2022, a rewards redemption of $794.05 was made to my checking account on file. To date, the deposit has not been made and the credit card company has no answers to explain why my monies have not been transferred and deposited to my account that they have on file and withdraw from to pay my balance due. No answers despite a dispute... Horrible bank and fraudulent operations...
Desired outcome: I want my money that you owe me. $794.05
