Home phone (land line)
I was the Comwave loyalty customer for 10 years. Last month I discontinued Comwave service because last two years their service was very bad. I didn’t use their service for last two or years. Few times I called them and told them to discontinue my service but they told me you have Two more years contract with us and asked me big money for discontinue...

20+ escalated it tickets, 3 months without service. Literally the worst company I have ever dealt with. Spent countless hours on phone trying to get it fixed.
Comwave makes you get a Firestick from Amazon varying in price from $40-$80. So on top of wasting hours of my time and billing me twice for no service I'm out $90 for Firesticks.
COMWAVE IS A JOKE, SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
Desired outcome: Tv service

No phone line since approx. Nov 8. Our internet and cable also had issues on the same day but have since been resolved except for my home phone. After a technician arrived on the 9th, it appeared our outside cable had been cut. The phone never recovered. It has a dial tone but when calling out a busy signal occurs, after you have dialed a number. I have not received any incoming calls either, Many attempts made to many numbers but same result. Address is 100 Taunton Road East Unit 42.
My account is under the name Julia Hyde.
Desired outcome: I would like a response to solve issue ASAP. Please email the given email address.

Billing
I just cancelled my service with Comwave after my 3 year term (contract) had ended but am told that the 3 year contract starts after the first 6 months of free service. They have now billed me in access of $500.
Now, I don't see where they indicate that the contract starts after the 6 months.
In fact, shouldn't there be a written contract?
Oh, by the way, I did have a long distance plan which I knew I was to pay for during this 6 month free servcie but was billed in access of the amount but could not get a dood answer to way the bill was greater..
Desired outcome: reverse the charges
Most of the charges have been reversed but I am still very dissatisfied with their method of doing business
Comwave TV, Internet, Telephone
I have not had one single day of uninterrupted service since signing up with this company. My sister is on oxygen 24/7 and needs access to the telephone, however, with this company whenever the power goes out the phone could be down for days as "not registered". You have to go two stories down to the modem, unplug everything, wait 10 minutes and re-plug back in - sometimes works, if not do all over again. Very dangerous when you have people health compromised. The TV says that nothing wrong with internet but does not come on. when watching a show the picture and sound goes off about every 5 minutes, again you have to keep turning it off and on repeatedly = not one evening could I watch a full program. The internet keeps going out as well but not as bad as the TV. I have purchased extenders and they have refused to bring the outside cable up to the main floor rather than the lower ground level that could have helped. I want out of this contract - please help as my sister and I are both seniors, on disability and need this type of service but reliable not this poor excuse for service.
Desired outcome: cancel contract
phone /internet
I have made NUMEROUS calls to comwave, explaining the situation... NOTHING has been done to fix the issue! I REFUSE to pay for any services they provide until the problems is fixed! I SWEAR... I have contacted them AT LEAST eight times...and yet ...NOTHING!
Desired outcome: FIX the problem!
Can not contact to cancel or change service
My bill just went up way too much, if they can't compete with other internet services, then cancel or at least call me. Jamey calarco
Desired outcome: New cheaper deal

Hello,
I was trying to be a customer of Comwave I called and I got 2 accounts made on my name I don't need it. My credit card was charged twice the same day of $ 22.54 for home phone package which I never got. I contacted BBB. Finally Comwave contacted me and promise to send me a refund of 45.08.
For this day I don't have anything.
My name is Sandra McNeil, I live in London Ontario.
Could you please help me, I'm on disabilities and $45 is a lot to me.
If you can contact me my phone # is 226.663.0161
Thank you so much
Internet / home phone / tv
Service suddenly stopped on July 30 at 10.00 am. No customer support by phone. Recording says to go to www.comwave.net/help but this site does not work as I am unable to submit the request. There is no way to contact Comwave and I am without service, working from home with 3 children schooling from home. I tried very hard to get out of my contract but their cancellation fee is 700.00.

Hi there
Just received an email from customer service comwave letting me know that starting with October 1st 2019 I'm going to watch two channels less and off course there's not their fault. Last week I asked them if it's ok while under contract to make some changes on my list of channels and the answer was that it's fine but if I am downgrading there is a $50 charge. I am asking if Comwave doesn't have to give us $50 back if they are downgraded from the initial list in the contract? What is right for me it's supposed to be right for you too

**PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING UP - THE HORROR STORIES ARE TRUE!**
LISTEN TO ME: I never go based on customer reviews but believe me when I say I NEEDED to make a complaint for all to see (NO - I am not an irate customer who wants revenge... I don't want anyone to go through what I went through)
Looking for an alternative to the big guys and I've always seen Comwave advertisements so I decided I would give them a try (again, the first thing that popped up when I typed in comwave were all of the NEGATIVE reviews - not a SINGLE positive review) but I STILL thought I would give them a chance... I've read bad reviews and found great service so I thought WHY NOT TRY THEM!?
I was on the phone with Milton who placed me on hold to confirm service in my area and I immediately asked "how long does it take to confirm availability?" Milton said "a few minutes"... he put me on hold and came back saying "congratulations sir! We service your area all we need is the deposit for the devices"... I went through this with Teksavvy so I was not skeptical - pay the $, get the devices, very routine (also an AMAZING company might I add - the only reason I left them is they do not support fibre internet at this time) - this all happened on Wednesday July 1 2019
My account was immediately debited and I was told the devices are in process of being sent out... I spent the next week following up to be told my account is being reviewed... then on the 7th day I'm told that my area is not serviced and it would take 4-6 weeks to refund my $... - this also happened on July 1 2019
I'm sorry!? In Canada if there is an exchange for goods/services with $ and there are no services being offered like I was promised on the phone then what was I billed for? How did you realize 1 week later that I am not serviced when I was told I am serviced...? I had to speak to a supervisor who reiterated the same story over and over again about 4-6 weeks: I didn't even GET the service to have a chance to review it and already this is the BS I found myself in with them... I wish I could include all the other nonsense we discussed (like whether he was aware that comwave was fined nearly 300k for false advertisement to which he said "no that's not true"... type it in a search engine and you'll see what I mean)
I want my $ back and I should not have to wait 6 weeks for that to happen: I work for the bank and I know refunds do not take 1+ months... I spoke to "Frank River" who is a supervisor and his extension is 4591 (allegedly) And "Milton" set up the account - extension 4347.
Yes, I am irate but not an irate customer and I am saying this as a cautionary tale: sometimes it is best to believe what you read on the internet... also if anyone is a lawyer and is reading this, let me know what we can do as I am ready to lawyer up on these crooks.
cancellation
I have been trying to cancel for years! I've just given up, and can't seem to find any answers anywhere.
When I emailed them to cancel, they gave me a roundabout response. They said they would have to schedule a call with their supervisor, so I can lodge a complaint!? Still unable to get any answers about actually cancelling the $27.55/month it's costing me... and I don't even have a landline anymore... how is this acceptable!?
cable and internet services
my name is swain smith and i signed up with comwave on no contact. i had a house fire and i called comwave to suspend my account until we could move back in the house they told me ok. and that i should pay$15 a month until we moved back in the house i agreed. they went into my account 2 month in a row for $89. i called and spoke to someone and again told them about my situation they still continue to take this money out my account i had to cancel my account. know they are threatening me to take me to collections if i dont continue to pay them
end of term cancellation
Do not use Comwave! I signed up for phone service on a three year term and at that time told the customer service rep I only needed it for that period. They violate the Consumer Protection Act by inserting a clause (like negative billing) stating the term automatically renews for another three years! I called to cancel after 3 years and they denied me! Now they threaten me with a collection agency. I'm calling the BBB in the morning. Comwave can suck it.
voip home phone "services"
It's been since April 2017 since I CANCELLED the CoN Wave VOIP service, I was just happening to go through my business account and noticed that they are still defrauding me of $1.12 per month, at the end of each month! If you call "customer service" all you'll get is the run around by their Guatemala based "C.S.", which is absolutely useless trying to communicate with! My Credit Union, Kawartha, is proving to be just as useless, as they want to charge me $15 for a stop payment, or, PROVE to them I have contacted CON Wave to stop the defrauding! HaHa! No where to run, no help from anyone including my financial institution of 12 years...HELP!
internet service
It is an unreliable service especially after the office is closed. There has been an issue with the speed of my service and after calling the technical support department several times it has still not been resolved. I work full time and am away from home during the day for the support team to call and troubleshoot with me. That issue has not been resolved. Due to the hours for customer service if there is a technical problem in the evening it cannot be solved. I have not been compensated for the time my service has been down and 11 pm if my service stops working it is too bad for me until the next morning when the technical support department is open. At which point I have to waste more of my time waiting to speak with an agent. I am seriously considering a different provider.
comwave
We had to pay a 500.00 deposit to get Comwave. We cancelled everything and they still took the 500.00 and still sent the equipment. We sent all the equipment back unopened. Comwave only gave us back 300.00 and will not give us back the other 200.00. We want all our money back and they have no right to keep 200.00 when they got there equipment back. We talked to BBB and still waiting to here from them.
No it is not resolved at all. We are waiting to hear from BBB and a Lawyer. We don't think it's right that they can keep people's money when they say it was sent back to the bank and it was not.
As of right know the company has done nothing. All my husband was told it takes 10 days to get the refund. 10 days have been way passed and we only got 300.00. When my husband called to find out the 200.00 he was told it would take 3 days and it has been a month and we are waiting to here back from a lawyer. The company has no rights to keep our money when we sent back all the equipment unopened. It costed us 88.00 to send the equipment back. The company does not even pay to have there equipment send back to them.
home phone, internet and tv
May 20th 2018
Around the middle of February I decided to switch my service from Bell to Comwave. Unfortunately the switch never happened despite numerous calls to customer service. One of the biggest issues (barriers) to the solution was the incredible amount of wait time I endured every time I called. Then when I would finally get through to a representative I had to retell the same story over and over again. Which was that I had switched from bell to comave but I was paying for two bills. It actually started with my home phone around the middle of march because in the switch between the two providers I ended up with no service for almost a week. I could call out but no one could call in. I thought that it would be ok from there but I continued to get bills from bell for my tv and internet. Comvave kept saying it was bells fault but clearly it wasn't because you could see the data usuage on my bill. Which by the way I never have received a notice from Comwave showing my data usuage, or anything. Then last week I received a customer care notice from comwave saying that my monthly credit card payment was declined. I did not see it right away because I have been ill with shingles and I was not at work and not using my computer. The date on the card had expired from what I can see. Within three days of that notification my tv and internet were shut off by comwave. (The phone was not cut off because Bell took it back about three weeks prior, (Comwave allegedly continued to have my internet and tv) That was when I first noticed that there was a problem with this months payment. When I turned on my computer there was notice of failure to pay on the interface of my computer that filled the screen I did not need to log on to see it, it was just there and I could not get it off the screen So instead of investigating why the payment was not honored or even to provide me with some notice so I could rectify it, not only was I cut off but I was unable to use my computer at all. Having my home computer completely disabled by Comwave over this is the most disturbing part of all. I called Bell and within a couple of hours they had my services up and running. This was possible because it had never been switched over as it should have been. (That was about a week ago)
I want my money back for the services that I never received from middle of February up until the end of April. No more payments will be authorized against my credit card from now on as I have informed the credit card company not to process them.
This whole incident has been very disturbing. It has caused me a lot of stress which has aggravated my health. I have repeatedly asked for a solution to this mess with no avail. Please address this situation once and for all. I say once and for all due to the many reviews I have read about Comwave's unfair business practices (which now span many years) which are quite similar to my own. This company should not be in business at all...
My phone number, which is the only account number I have ever had with Comwave, is [protected].
My email address is [protected]@hotmail. ca.
Thank you
internet
I was promised high speed internet that would support me and three kids. Streaming..i was told i would get my deposit in six months..My internet service could not go high enough in my area which they didnt tell me that..I tried to live with it for over a year where only one of us at a time were able to use netflix..After numerous calls and many hours on the phone trying different thingas i couldnt take it anymore. I just simply wasnt getting the service i was promised and signed up for and it wasnt possible in my area for them to rectify the problem..I asked them to cancel my service so i could go else where that was able to give me what i needed..At this point i feel they not live up to their contract that they we had..Two different hour long phone calls and they still insisted i couldnt end the contract without paying $400..Not to mention after both calls they still kept trying to go into my account and kept billi g for a service i cancelled..They still have my deposit and now have texted demanding over $600 or they ate putting name in collections...This has been a horribke stressful. Situation for me financially and emotionally and i am at a loss what to do at tbis point.

1) I notified Comwave @[protected]@comwave.net that I had a change in banking information. I requested that they not submit auto withdrawal using my old banking information on Comwave's file.
2) Withdrawal was submitted to old bank regardless. This resulted in $45 NSF penalty at the bank and a $25 penalty on Comwave's end.
3) I paid the $9.25 amount owing on my invoice and notified Comwave via email with a copy of a screen shot attached as proof.
4) I contacted Comwave customer service about this NSF situation asking them not to penalize me on their end and asking for a refund of the $45 charged by my bank.
5) They proceeded to write me a nasty email quoting parts of a contract I have never seen stipulating that Comwave would not be held accountable for a debts incurred by a third party. They further told me that they had not received any email from me regarding a change in banking information (basically calling me a liar). They also demanded for payment of $25 for nsf on their end. THEN THEY CUT OFF MY SERVICE WITHOUT WARNING..BANG..DONE.
6) I sent them 3 subsequent emails one of which contained a forwarded copy of the email I had sent to [protected]@comwave.net as proof of my original request not to submit payment request to my old bank and that I had new banking information.
Would you please investigate and remedy this situation at your earliest convenience. My payments have never been late and have always been paid in full. I want my services reinstated; the $25 NSF fee foregiven and some compensation toward the $45 NSF I have been penalized by the bank.
I am a senior citizen on disability and this situation has caused me a great deal of grief and anxiety. I can be reached by email at kate.[protected]@gmail.com.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my request.
Best regards,
Kate Elliott-Ross
