My Wife and I recently moved out of an American Homes 4 Rent house at 4831 Ballentine Drive, Canal Winchester, Ohio,43110. Moveout date was August 21, 2023. We lived there for 4 years and our Conservice utility bills were handled through their payment portal. We never missed a rent payment or utility payment. However, we received a chargeback list from them stating we owed utility payments as far back as April. That's billing 4 months behind. Not only did they take our entire security deposit (and more), they hit us with 4 months in utility charges. With any other company, an up to date bill is expected to be paid by the first. AH4R expected payment on the 1st. Why is your billing 4 months behind. This is not very fair for a couple of Senior Citizens. I am disabled and most of our income is from my wife's job. For this moveout to happen, we had to pay two rents, as well as another security deposit and another setup fee from Conservice. Where is any of this fair? What kind of arrangement do you have with AH4R? Not surprising why both companies have service ratings of 1 out of 5. And here, very few complaints have been resolved. It wouldn't be good for The Ohio Attorney General's office to have to look into this .
Desired outcome: I would like for the company to #1 apologize and #2 work with AH4R to find out how this happened and who is responsible. One or Both of you may have to take a loss.
