During one Indian community function in DOHA, I filled in a raffle ticket of Country club. Some day later I received a call from Country club and saying that We won the complimentary gift and promotional offer from them. For that, they invited us to visit their office in DOHA. They presented big presentations and great benefits and they convince us to pay membership fees in one go (QAR 18000/-) in May-2013.
In 2014, I meet their office several times and they are telling me that they have spoken with their senior management in regards to my query, as they had agreed that will be giving you two years AMC waiver and the concern holiday will be reinstated. I did not accept the offer.
In 2015, the Community president has also sent mail and information to return the membership fees back but it was unanswered.
I visited the office and informed clearly that I don't want to exchange this with any other offer and refund membership fees after canceling the membership.
I have sent several emails to their Senior Customer Care Manager Mr. Pradeep but they were just delaying the response. -
I have explained about their false promises to him through mail and issues like hidden conditions (i.e. no detail on room type, min.size offering during holiday stay; local -Doha based property conditions for hiring a hall for organizing party or event), Rude behavior offered by the local Doha based office customer care officer. (He is not there now in the Doha Country club office), No itinerary guidance from the country club for the holidays, No major functions on holy, Diwali, Eid and Navaratri festivals in a year, After visiting many times to the office, we have received "Akbar Travels discount vouchers." And we have not received the "Family Food Center (FFC)" vouchers (QAR 1, 500/-) as promised.
In 2016, after continuous follow up they agreed to refund my money and provided the letter saying that within 60 working days, the cheque of amount QAR 16, 800/- (after deducting the availed Akbar travels vouchers worth QAR 1, 200/-) will be ready (as attached). But it never came. The customer care department manager Mr. Farook kept saying that their signing authority at Dubai is not available and to sign the same they were not received yet.
Called Country club Doha office many times but no answer received.
In 2017, I have visited the office in DOHA and found the entire staff changed and meet Mr. Pavan. I have shown the letter received from Country club saying about the refund cheque amount QAR 16, 800/-. They told me that they will check and inform me.
After visiting the office again, they are telling me that they will discuss the issue with the Dubai office and inform me.
One thing I want to mention that I have never received a call from the country club about to understand and clear the issue. They are telling the staff before are under contract and now Country club directly handling all the issue. Here also the issue was not resolved.
Several times called to the office and one day told that the manager from Dubai coming to visit Qatar, Doha office. I fixed the time and meet him and he agreed to refund me QAR 9000/- and continue the membership as it is and promised that they will provide me the refund in 1 month by cheque, but that day never came.
In 2018, Country club has changed the office location (). I tried to visit the office but they did not trace out the office.
In 2019, the Country club has changed the office location. I have launched a complaint in the Consumer protection department in Qatar, DOHA. They tried to reach to a new office location (). The consumer protection department has not found the office on this location. I have tried to visit the office but I did not find the office as per address. I sent the mail but the received reply on 16th July 2019 that the office is closed until 22 May 2019 for a management meeting.
The Country club vacation office totally closed in DOHA and the business shifted to Dubai. I have contacted them and they replied that they will not accept that letter.
Please resolve the issue with them.
I have followed up from the year 2014 up to now but not succeeded. They are never calling for AMC (Annual Maintenance Charges) also like they don't want to return my hard money.
