I joined the Creative Home Arts Club as a Life Member back in Sept. of 2004, member number [protected]. Paid $340.00 plus for the membership. Everything was fine in the beginning. Magazines where great until the changed to scrap booking only. Then everything stopped. I didn't get magazines, nothing. Now you can't even log onto the site. I realize things change in 14 years - but really - Life Member should mean Life. They should be required to refund membership fee's.
I am right there with the rest of you. I became a lifetime member since 10/2004. I hated when they changed magazine to scrapbooking. Just look how many lifetime members just on here that have been cheated. June
Also a lifetime member. Just happened to be using a cutting mat with their name on it and decided to look them up. Rip off.
This is crazy because today (1/19/21) I came across a craft tote I got when I joined as a LIFE member. So I did a search on the name Creative Hime Arts to see if they were still in business.
All I found was BBB complaints about the company.
So now I’m wondering if we will get a refund?
Wow, I still have my password. I hope someone can find out because I looked and found the same BBB complaints and they owe me $360.00 also.
Like many others my Lifetime member club does not exist any more .What is being done about this.At least we are entitled to some reimbursment. Linda B. Seifert email spouseto 4of 8@yahoo.com thank you.
I totally forgot about them until I came across my lifetime membership card today. I became a lifetime member in June 2003. I believe my fee was ~$100. If anyone finds out anything please share I’d like to know what happened.
Same with me! I don't remember how much I paid to be a lifetime member. My card says member since 02/2008. Website is gone.
I too just found my card (member since 5/2002. My receipt for my Life Member Fee says $336.00. When they first started they were great. Haven't been able to get a response for years. Would love an update on them. And, yes, lifetime SHOULD mean lifetime!
Lived in low income housing at that time and thought that it would mean that I would get free or low cost kits for myself or my kids. LIES. Now I'm out money and hopes
Obviously they didn't do well in the scrapbooking business, went bankrupt and disappeared. Their lifetime and other people's lifetime means two different things. It's like buying a lifetime membership with a gym and it closes down and they don't have the money anymore. You could try and sue but good luck with that. Unfortunately these things happen and we lose our money for believing in other people.
Carol Ellis from NC. I joined maybe 30 years ago. I got the tote bag with my name on it and the bag that has wheels and I ordered a couple of kits. I got a letter saying they were changing the name of the company and around that time I moved. I sent them my new address but never heard back. I paid a lot of money and was out of it. Due to moving I never got Anthony back. I would like to know how get in contact with them so they can reinstate my life membership
Same as the rest of you, guess it was scam when they didn't have that many back then. Life time member.
From what I'm hearing it would appear that "Lifetime" means something different than what most of us thought it meant, The company can just as well say they meant the lifetime of the company not our lifetime. Looks like we've all been bambuzelled!.
I’m adding myself to the list of those whose lifetime membership seems to be worthless.
I’m a few months behind all of you but I just found my “Lifetime Member” folder! I guess I’m not alone, $360 really got me nowhere!
Debbie from New York
Same here, just found the card while moving and went on line to see what was up and saw this thread. Member since 2009 according to the card. I guess I am out of luck too.
Count me in as well, been/ was a member since Oct 2005. Never heard way their stopped. Was it just another scam. Get the money and run.
I have been wondering the same for awhile now. I bought into the club ages ago and received the binders, rolling cart and magazine for awhile. I have not heard anything from them for years. No email no nothing. Yesterday I was using the rolling cart and the handle broke. Have to creatively figure out a way to fix the handle now, since their is no customer service to contact. There are other less expensive club memberships out there, but it stinks that company goes belly up with no word to their members.
I also joined the lifetime membership and got the binders, the magazine and the rolling cart (still have). I have been wondering what happened to them too but today when I came across some of my paperwork from them I decided to look into it more and found that so many people are wondering the same thing. It's been years since I haven't seen any correspondence from them. I don't remember which email I used with them but came across a old letter from them from 2009 and it has my membership # on it and I have my card somewhere just not in my hand. Here's the email I believe I used for this membership please contact me if you know anything via my email above; durandmelodia@gmail.com. Thank you so much.
I just found my membership card in my rolling cart, that was packed away for years. I had joined back in September of 2003. Just went on line to check out the website and found these postings. Sad we didn’t get what we all paid for. Ginny1949@comcast.net
Guess I'm a late comer, I found my card dated 2013. But I haven't received a thing! Was this a scam? Do we have any recourse?
