Back ordered part over 4 months
On 11/22/2022 I placed an order for part # 619-04137B, a steering knuckle for a Cub Cadet Volunteer. I was advised it was on backorder.
In January of 2023 I called customer service about part. I was advised it was still on backorder and they gave me a case # [protected].
Today (03/28/23) I called customer service again. I was told part is still on backorder with no additional information.
Its been over four months now and without this part I have a $10,000 paperweight.
My original order # D0337914P1
Can someone please help.

Desired outcome: Please provide part for an expensive Cub Cadet product
3X 28" Snow Blower
Stage 1 of this machine is the Auger which is supposed to Break Up and Draw In Snow, Ice and Slush ahead of the Stage 2 Accelerator which is supposed to Pull In the Snow, Ice and Slush ahead of the Stage 3 Impeller which is supposed to Throw Snow Up and Away. It does none of this. When I contacted CS and sent them a video of the machine pushing snow I was told the machine appears to be running fine (I agree) but the snow is the problem. How is snow the problem for a snow blower so finely engineered. The machine plows the snow up in front of it - it does not blow snow. Cub Cadet takes no accountability for this defective design blaming the issue on the snow.
Desired outcome: I should like to return, with a full refund, this failure in engineering advertised as a snow blower as it does not blow snow.
2x 24 in. Two-stage snow thrower, 31am5cvr709
I bought a Cub Cadet 2X 24 in. Two-Stage Snow Thrower in 2019. It ran great the first year, the next winter it wouldn't start, I called customer service, they had me take it to a service center, they repaired it and said none of the repairs were under warranty and it cost me $350 to repair my $1300 purchase. It ran the rest of that year and after storing it following the instructions of how to store it, the next year again it would not start. I had to have the carburetor repaired again. Ran for the year and then this year, guess what, it again will not run. This year it starts but dies when I try to use it. We called customer service and they told us there was nothing they could do, they are sure it is that we are not following the instructions on how to store it even though we went through the steps with them and confirmed that we are. They said take it back to the service center. I am done with Cub Cadet. This is the worst purchase I have ever made and they have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I had a cheap snow blower that ran for 15 years without an issue, why can't this one.
Desired outcome: I would love this snow blower to work and stay working. I feel like I was sold a lemon and they aren't willing to do anything about it. At this point what I would really like is most of my money back.
Snowblower
Snowblower purchased October 2020. Had problems starting in November 2021 and 2022 even though I ran the gas out at the end of the season. Customer service was of little help, shifting blame to customer for not properly maintaining.
Now I have to find a small engine repairman to get this thing running.
Had a MTD snowblower for 25 years and never had such problems, should have kept it. I will unload this machine in Spring of 2023 and look at other brands not made by MTD.
FYI, my brother had similar issues with his Cub Cadet. Overall a frustrating experience simply trying to start the machine.
Desired outcome: Provide a service center that will cover cost for starting the snowblower.
Cub Cadet Zt1 seat
I purchased a Cub Cadet Zt1 zero turn on 10/13/2022. After going on line and putting in the model number I ordered a set of arm rest. When I went to put them on I could not find the brackets to attach them to. I went to the Cub Cadet dealer near me and he told me that it had to have attachment brackets if not bring it in and he would check it out. If it has no brackets it is probably defective and they would replace it. I took it in and he found no brackets and after looking for about ten minutes on the internet he said that, though he had never seen one, apparently they have started making seats with no brackets and there is no way to attach any kind of arm rest. Needless to say, I am not happy about this at all. If I could return this machine I absolutely would because I feel that if you cut corners by installing cheap seats on your $ 4,000.00 mowers, what else have you cut corners on? I feel cheated.
Desired outcome: New and proper seat.
Cub Cadet XT-1 46” aLawn Tractor
Bought this in August 2021. It has needed to be sent back to the shop 3 times since I have had it. First time would not start. Second time throttle did not work. Now the reverse as gone out. I have read that this should be reliable but that is has not. I have 67 hours on it . It has really been a pain. Because of a fought I was not able to use this the first 30 days I had it. On day 31 I used it and was mowing when it died. It refused to start! I am completely disgusted with this piece of junk. This no doubt is either typical of this brand or I got a lemon. I will never buy another.
2020 cub cadet riding mower
I bought a cub caddet riding mower from Big Blue Outdoors in Flemingsburg KYin 2020. I have had problems with the throttle linkage, transmission, and key switch at the present time. It also will not back up leading the repair shop to believe there is a problem in the transmission. Big Blue says it is under warranty but they don't have a key switch and do not know when they will have one. As of now it will not start. I am telling you this so you know how disgusted I am with this mower. My repair man has found the part and will repair it for me so I can mulch my fall leaves. Big Blue says unless they do the work it is on my dollar. What can you do for me other than tell me sorry about your luck?
Desired outcome: Pay for the key switch I have to buy to get mower running. Big Blue said they have had other problems with your switch.
CC push mower 159CC ENG 21 IN., Serial # 1C218K01536 "Extended Warranty"
I made an online purchase of an "Extended Warranty" for this mower on 5/12/2022 for $32.39, icl. tax.
The mower is identified as follows:
Club Cadet push mower 159CC ENG 21 IN., Serial # 1C218K01536
I have been subsequently told by Club Cadet telephone conversation that the mower is ineligible for the extended warranty, as it is out of warranty status, being purchased beyond the two-year Warranty window.
Therefore, I request reimbursement for the fee paid for this warranty of $32.39, to be sent to the following address.
Desired outcome: I request reimbursement for the fee paid, $32.39, for this unobtainable warranty to be sent to the following address.Thank you, - John Cannellos
Unable to reach anyone regarding issue with zero turn mower.
I have tried multiple times to reach Cub Cadet, waiting on the phone for hours, trying to use the live chat and being hung up on, and no email address? It's not the one listed. I purchased a zero turn mower in 03/2022. It is a gas guzzler, going through the entire 2.5 gallon tank of gas in about 1 hour 15 minutes. I have since learned that this exact model ZTS1 50 inch had been recalled a few years back because of problems with the gas line. I have concerns about this mower. Is there any customer service? This is a serious issue with a new $5000.00 mower that could potentially start on fire as well.
Desired outcome: Please contact me and help me resolve this issue!
No one has contacted me. Not by email, not by phone.
Lt-46 deck on a Cub Cadet XT1
I had to remove the cutting deck and there was a cabel with a spring from the transmission that came loose during the process. When I tried replacing the deck it was impossible to fugure out how to reattach the cable. A very, very poor design and at 80 years old I have always managed to maontain my equipment. Now my tractor is unusable. I bought a new , Non Cub Cadet lawn tractor.
Desired outcome: I don't expect any help . To get a repair with any local dealers takes morevthan two weeks. I think it's because they are nextvto impossible to repair...
LT46 riding lawn tractor
I't a piece of trrash. I have already completed a previous complaint, tu whomever develops your ionternet interface is, as expected, incompetent as well. I am a retired Senior Systems Engineer and I find that any company professing to be technically competent now days is blatently incompetent because competent technical resources in this day in age are next to impossible to find. All competent employees even though they have NO leadership skills come from the technical employees. Subsequently Managers have absolutely NO leadership skills... American leadership at all levels will be he demise of this Country in the not too distant futur...
Desired outcome: Fire any of your in house designers but it this is outsourced to a different company like "MTD" get rid of your current source of lawn tractors....You're LEADERSHIP is incompetents.......
Did not receive order
Love my new zero. Wanted to buy name brand blades. Started out ordering mulch kit for it and it was wrong. Couldn’t take day off work to deal with return process, so I ate that $130. Ordered high lift blades like the ones it came with. They never showed. Called cub and they said not my problem. File a claim with us postal service. Yea, sure. They can’t even deliver mail. I’ll never buy from you crooks again. I hope a set of blades was worth the damage I’m going to do telling everyone I meet not to buy from you. I’m a home building super. I meet a lot of folks buying their first mower.
Desired outcome: Apologies and send my blades or refund me and make your own claim against US postal
Anyone changing their drive belt on an LT-1 rider , already knows your engineers SUCK. I've changed drive belts on other mowers before , Yours Sucks . I wont buy another Cub Cadet riding mower because of this .
Z1 zero turn gland nut blade spindle
So I bought my Ultima Z1 last year. I’ve keep it serviced and in good working order. Last week I started mowing my yard and the blades stopped turning. After looking under the deck I found the discharge side spindle, blade and gland nut laying under the mower. After getting it on my trailer and to my service technician I found out there was a service bulletin issued for this problem. Why didn’t I as the customer get the bulletin? It could have saved me $190.00. He had to replace the spindle, gland nut and pulley. Not sure at this point if I’ll buy another.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement
Parts
I placed an order on 22 Jul (order number D0302532P1) for a mulch kit for my new Ultima ZT1 54" mower. Every time I use your tracking mechanism, all I get is status open. In this age of technology and automation, it seems Cub Cadet could do much better informing their customers of product delays, back orders, and other problems relating to availability. My credit card was charged immediately and I don't like being uninformed.

[protected] After 4 months of dealing with cub cadet customer service and 4 different service shops the last one being [protected] my mower still has the same issue. It will leave strips of uncut or higher cut grass as you mow. I spoke with cub cadet customer service today [protected] and the representative (cooper) stated that management had told him not to deal with me any more because they thought I was going to sue them and he hung up. So I called back and spoke to another rep (Jim) who said that yes that note was in my case no# [protected] and ask him to transfer me to a manager but he said he would send a manager a Email and they would get back to me today and no they did not get back to me. case numbers for this are [protected] and [protected] I have been dealing with this problem for 2 mowing seasons or since I purchased the mower on 4-3-2021. It has been to 4 different service shops that they recommended. it has had the deck leveled 5 times and 3 sets of blades installed and most recently the motor RPM adjusted up and a spring on the deck replaced and the deck leveled yet again by KT saw shop in Somerset KY. mower still leaves strips of uncut grass. So Cub cadet or MTD customer service is saying they will now not honor the 4 year warranty on the mower or speak with me about the mower. This is the steering wheel model Pro Z 160 At this point I would just like to get a replacement mower or my money back
Desired outcome: I do not have any faith that Cub Cadet or MTD will honor warranty I would just like my money back or another mower that works
If there is anyone else having this issue with there cub cadet Pro Z mower Please contact me at allen.stanfill@gmail.com
maybe we can help each other get this fixed
Thanks

Last year I wrote to you about mower belts that broke 3 times, you did reimbursement me for 1. Since then, the belt came loose every 2-3 weeks. My wife and I learned how to put back on. The place I bought it from said they could not find the problem. This year the clutch fell off and bolt sheared in the engine. Cost me over $600.00. The dealer said I hit something underneath, but I was cutting on flat even grass without bumps. One hour after picking up the mower from being repaired I was cutting my lawn and mower quit working. Took machine back to dealer. Clutch froze up and fuse blew. I am a residential guy cutting like 2-3 hours a week. I have trailered lawn mower over 7 times to dealer. That is a lot of work for me and wife we are both 64 years old. I had a cheaper exmark for 16 years without these kinds of problems. I talked to dealer and traded the cub cadet in for a Ferris. Could not stand it anymore seemed like only choice I had. I felt like by trading in for a different mower I’d be saving money in long run. I had 160 hours and cost me over 800.00 in less than 2 years. I bought extended warranty for 399.00 and never even got to use it. Can I please get a refund on warranty I already lost so much on this deal. The dealer is Northfield Power Equipment Please help us. Thank you, sincerely, John Blazek
Desired outcome: refund extended warranty.heip in past repair cost
Cub cadet 42inch riding mower
Every since I bought this mower new in 2018 the belt keeps coming off, I noticed this is a common problem. The engine pulley is way out of line (too high) with the deck pulleys once it is lowered.
Desired outcome: REPAIR FOR FREE BEING IT HAS BEEN TAKEN BACK TO THE PLACE I BOUGHT IT FROM SHORTLY AFTER BUYING IT FOR THE BELT PROBLEM AND THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED BUT IT IS NOT. NOTHING MORE THEY CAN DO THEY SAID.
xt2gx54 cub cadet 2020 year
I got this tractor from a dealer in Pa. At 52 hours the blade spindle broke at the atatchment points. I took it to back to the dealer for replacement of the spindle under warrinity. the dealer refused to replace the spindel Do to a bent blade. First of all I did not hit anything and to me the blade was not bent therefore I feel it should be replaced under warrinty! I am onle asking for the part as I can replace it my self. My email in [protected]@yahoo.com. please thru email.. Thank you for your help with this. By the way I have owned a cub cadet for the past 14 years and have never asked for a warrinty till now!
Desired outcome: replacement of spindel
Item number: 742P05510 Ultra High-Lift Blade for 46 inch Cutting Decks
I purchased an XT1 46-inch tractor. I have nine hours on it and I am on the third set of blades. The cost of these blades is $62.98, with zero discounts available. I am a disabled veteran and my military discount does not work to cover the cost of this critical part of my tractor. Why?
I am at almost $200.00, of expenses on these blades and I can't even get a discount!? I can't see recommending this tractor to anyone since I am spending more on blades than on gasoline.
Desired outcome: Allow people that sell your product to discount them for military personnel. I spent 31 years in the military, and while I do not think I am anyone special a discount will help when you are on a fixed income.
Starting issue
I purchased my zero turn from home depot it is a great mower I love it. It has always had starting problems due to slow cranking. You have to turn the key to start a couple times. It is due to the low cranking amp battery that was installed 210 cranking amps this 22hp engine calls for a larger cranking amp battery I dont know why this was installed in this mower? Its a problem that should have been addressed.
Desired outcome: the correct battery
