I have purchased a Cub Cadet Enforcer. It has 7 hours on it and has broken twice. The brake breaks and won't allow you to use it. It was purchased out of town as a gift and the local dealers will not honor the warranty since they are not the ones that sold it. What good is the warranty if you can't get it worked on if you move or give it away? The local dealer commented that this "should of been recalled by Cub Cadet, because it happens all of the time." The store that I purchased it from was totally aware of the fact that it was going to a different city and said nothing about it. I have spent over $13,000.00 at this store in the past 60 days. Since it is under warranty, it should be covered no matter where it goes.

I bought a cub cadet enforcer this fall. I have 12 hours on it and now it is parked. $6000 down the drain. It mowed the lawn only once without something breaking. At 5 hours I lost a stearing damper-plastic treads stripped. At 10 hours I lost the hour meter. At 11.5 hours I lost deck mount. I can see many more parts wearing prematurely due to poor design.

Everything is mounted with a cheap version of a lock nut. Problem is they are just cheap copies of lock nuts. If they losen even a fraction of a turn then you can spin them on and off with your fingers. You need to replace everyone on the machine with a real lock nut. Things that fall off when the lock nuts fall off are not covered under warranty as you need to return the defective item for warranty...so if it falls off and is lost you have to pay for another. The engine manual it comes with is wrong one for the engine and conterdicts the cub cadet enforcer manual.
I bought this machine as my 30 year old lawn tractor was getting unrelaible. I bought this as they classified it as "industrial" so thought it would be over kill for my small yard and last for ever. Instead I am renting a machine to mow my lawn while I wait for more parts. I have mowed my lawn 3 times...thats $2000.00 a mow...plus all the time spent trouble shooting, removing and returning parts.
If anyone finds out a class action suite against these guys or a way of returning them please let me know.

I have a 1 year old Enforcer. Paid $5299. I have had a few issues with it. Overall is has been a solid mower. I kept rolling my main belt off the tensioner pulley when my deck went up on one end. After a few pissed off calls the dealer found they had the adjustment off when it was put together. I also had a bad hour meter and a grease zurk that would not take grease. Minor problems but I can look past them if I don't have any other problems. I do agree that this unit is not heavy enough for commercial use!

I have had numerous broken belts. I have less than 50 hours on my Enforcer, and have had to have belts replaced every 30 minutes to 7 hours. That was the longest it ever worked. I got it in June 2008. I had at least 12 service calls by August. So far I have had it serviced 3 times this spring. They are coming to get it today, belt #4. I really need it to work.

Any ideas?

My Enforcer which has 11 hours on it, has had three drive belt replacements in the last week. The last three times I have mowed the belt slips off and is destroyed.

Service rep says I'm not mowing right. They have adjusted the tension but no luck. Warranty has covered some of the cost.

Going to buy another belt for mine today then take it to the industrial supply house and have them match it up and buy several more for cheap there. It seems any bump to the front edge of the mower deck on mine causes belt to come of and if you don't notice in a few seconds it gets shredded. It does not take much of a bump...a branch, root or anything. It can take a bump on bottom edge of deck just not on the front edge. The tensioner also works as a guide for belt on one side of motor but the long belt length on the other side of the engine needs something..even a cheap guide would have worked and kept belt from popping off.
Also loosing lug nuts...be sure to check them.

After my third trip to the dealer he found the problem with the belts coming off. Evidently there was a bulletin sent to dealers last year saying that the recommended tension for the belt drive was wrong. He found this warning by doing some internal research. He replaced the idler, which got damaged, and the belts, all for free, under warranty.

Since my previous post my Enforcer is back in the shop with the exact same problem--belt comes off of drive pully. Dealer and I thought problem was resolved. No such luck. It has been in the shop for a week. No update yet.
I really think there is a defect in the design and I have a lemon.I guess I'll wait and see.

Switched to Goodyear T80 belts...at 1/3 the cost and same if not better quality in my opinion(my dealer is not covering under warranty or giving me a break on price). I still go through them just as fast but cheaper to replace. If I get time I would like to modify the tensioner or add another one. Somehow have keep those belts on when the deck bumps something(small tree root etc). If you go behind the machine and look down the belt-the front pulley, the back pulley and the tensioner are all at different levels and all perfectly horizontal. I am not sure if this is part of the issue but I think I am going to try bending the tensioner mount so the tensioner pulley is not horizontal but instead on an angle ...the same angle the belt is on as it travels from the front to the back pulley.

I am sorry to hear all the complaints that others have towards Cub Cadet, but at the same time I feel relief. I've owned a ZRT50 for four seasons of mowing now and I don't think I've made it a WEEK without some kind of problem with it. I own a lawn care company and personally maintain over 30 lawns plus a cemetery, park, and ball field. The guy with the idea for a class action law suit could count me in. Cub Cadet is WAY out of their element in manufacturing zero turn mowers, and their so caller service department, what a joke. Best of luck to all, my future money is going towards a Grasshopper or Skagg, THEY know how to make a mower that works as hard as the rest of us do.

I purchased a cub cadet pro Z 160 from solid rock lawn and garden in Monticello KY in 2021. Paid a little over 7K for this mower. It came with a 4 year warranty when purchased.

So it on its second season and it will not mow grass without leaving a strips or stripes of uncut grass as you mow. It has done this since it was new. I have had it to 3 different authorized service shops recommended by cub cadet customer service and still it leaves uncut grass as you mow.

The deck has been leveled 5 times all by authorized service guys. each one says the last guy did not do it right.

3 different sets of blades. Tire pressure checked ect. but still does the same thing. I have sent solid rock lawn and garden a letter of intent to sue because he and cub cadet refuse to honor the warranty and repair the mower. Please see the attached pictures. These are just some take from the last mowing after the deck was leveled yet again and a new set of blades were installed.
