DeBella: What a Bunch of Scammers
DeBella Roofing is now in Idaho Falls, spreading like a cancer.
Two individuals (young men) approached my front door asking if I would be interested in a quote to replace my roof. I said yes I would be interested because my roof really does need replacing. These two young men were the front men, or sales scouts for DeBella.
The next day, two different young men tried hard to convince how wonderful DeBella roofing was and how great a job that DeBella would do for me. I told these two that I wanted a steel standing seam roof on my house. They got very aggressive and insisted that I should use an asphalt shingle roof. They were not at all interested in what I wanted, only what they wanted to sell. Talk about a hard sell, these two young men, obviously paid on commission, wasted two hours of my time with a hard sales pitch.
I know a little bit about roofing and home construction. It was clear from my discussions with these two that they knew very little - next to nothing - about roofing. They were only DeBella's sales force. When I asked them to leave, they sat in their cars, talking on their cell phones and acted like they were discussing my concerns. They got off their phones and told be they could replace my roof for $50,000. When I said no way, they quickly reduced the price to $40,000. Talk about a scam, this DeBella Roofing is nothing but a bunch of scammers.
Go to the better business bureau and look up DeBella and you will find many complaints about shoddy workmanship done by contractors that BeDella hires. The people that put your roof on are not DeBella employees - they are independent contractors that DeBella hires to do the work. Most of the money that the home owner pays goes to paying the commission of sales monkeys. Avoid DeBella roofing like the plague.
Recommendation: Don't Touch DeBella With Ten Foot Pole

Horrible communication, broken promises, no follow thru
Met with a DaBella sales team, John Michael and Avery on January 5, 2024. We explained what we wanted done, they took measurements and pictures, showed us their products, and we signed a purchase/project agreement. The project was for a remodel of our master bathroom. Per our discussions, the project agreement, and contract, "Project notes: Azzurra Bay, Oil...

I signed a contract for roof repair, including 3+ sheets of plywood as needed under the shingles. October 10,2023 men came out to the house to begin the job. I noticed on the back side of the house they had no plywood- No one talked to me about the job, during or after the installation.
There are also skylights on the back side of the house, to which they apparently added flashing.
A few days later the plywood and other supplies arrived on the front of the house. The front of the roof is great.
However, I don't believe there is any plywood under the back side, as it is sagging in the same places as prior to the repair. When it rained the first time after repairs, there are two large leaks in the room with skylights.
I have called the company twice and wrote a contact note on line to them, and was told "We don't do skylights". a young man came out to inspect and said there was a fist sized hole by the skylight, but it wasn't their problem.
I am now paying for a roof that leaks.
Claimed loss: The ceiling in the leaking room is ruined.
Desired outcome: Fix the roof

Improper and illegal sales tactics
This company sends people out to solicit in elderly communities and they ignore the No Trespassing, Private Property and No Soliciting signs which are posted clearly in multiple places at the entrance into the community. Then, when confronted with their breaking of the law by doing so, they claim they are "not soliciting" and just claim they are "scheduling...

Cancelation of contract
Three weeks ago on a Friday afternoon I had a DaBella salesman at my house about a bid for my roof. It took from around 2-3 pm until 8:30 pm for the contract and financial papers to be done in a small screen tablet. I was told that I would receive copies of all paperwork once it was processed. I wrote a check as requested and I asked how many days I had to cancel the contract - 3 days until Monday. I canceled the contract by that monday, but never got copies of the paperwork I signed or my canceled check, just an email saying my contract was officiallycanceled. I don't know what will happen with my information that was given to this company. I have emailed the Boise office 2 consecutive fridays requesting copies of canceled contract, financial application, and my canceled check to no avail. I also called the salesman about his boss no response and he said he was going to the office and talk to him about this matter. Silence and no response until now.
Desired outcome: Copies of the canceled contract, financial papers, and my canceled check
Today I received a formal letter from DaBella and my voided check. I never received a print out of the canceled contract or the financial papers, so I have no idea to this day what I signed. Case closed. Thanks.
Siding
The real issue is I tried to cancel the contract after they could not provide what I ordered without them charging me another $4K. When I tried to cancel they said tough luck, and wouldn't cancel the contract. Call Customer Service? Expect to be on hold for 30 minutes!
They lie so much when they want you to sign. But after you do you are screwed.
They have a very limited color selection and while I wanted a 5 1/4 reveal they only offered 7 1/4. Why? It is what they stock and is cheaper for them to install as there are fewer board to use. They also sub-contract EVERYTHING out unlike their sales pitch which says they are all DaBella employees and are all factory trained. That is a lie!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Desired outcome: Cancel the contract
Billing/Install of Windows and customer service
9/10 Window install- installed wrong windows and didn't install a different one on ORIGINAL contract. After complaining to office and customer service they sent me their contract version that did not match mine. I have tried getting ahold of the local office and so has the customer service team multiple times and sent the original DOCUSIGNED contract and still have not been taken care of or communicated with. I am extremely unhappy and very upset by this and the promises of the contract and the promises on even your recorded lines are false. I refuse to pay for such a distorted company value! I have been patient and understanding as anyone should be but at this point this is services promised and not rendered.
Desired outcome: I need a response to the false contract being charged to the credit account and an explanation of how this has gotten so off track and undesirable
Roofing Quote
This company, as I understand is fairly new to Arizona. BEWARE! A sales person came to our home. When I set the appointment I told them I was calling to get an estimate for a repair job. When the salesman arrived he informed me the company didn't do "repair jobs". Within 15 minutes he had quoted the price of a new roof of $28000.00. Yikes! Are you kidding me? Average estimates from other companies were between $16 and 18,000.00. When I told him he was way over all the others he IMMEDIATELY dropped the quote to $17000.00. I new then I was dealing with another "used car saleman" working for a shoddy company. They kept calling me on the phone told them I was not going to use their company and why. The last caller said he dropped the price because they're always running sales... right! LIke I said BEWARE!
Desired outcome: Not to ever call me again and go back to Oregon, where you're based!
We had Da Bella come in to give us a Roofing estimate here in Albuquerque, NM.
The two young men for a 1900 sq. ft home. They wanted 3,000.00 as a deposit and $40,000.00
for the the work. When my husband
told them that he was retired one of the guys, pretended to call someone, he said we can do this for 20,000.00 0% interest and no downpayment. My husband told the more aggressive one, His name in (Jacob)that he'd like to think about it, Jacob got red in the face and called my husband
a LIAR and brought in my husbands deceased wife into the conversation and again called him a Liar.
WHO does that? We are getting the Attorney General involved in this. Maybe they were scammers? Da Bella Roof Co. should watch WHO the HIRE! We also put in a complaint with the customer service. They promised to sent me an E-mail showing the complaint, NEVER got one!
Replacement windows.
In April of 2022 DaBella came out and replaced our windows. When the salesman came out and talked to us he told us that our windows would be measured bya laser. Did not happen. He said that our windows would be within an eighth of a n inch the same. They are two inches shorter. They had to come back three times because all of the product they needed was not delivered at the same time or was not the right size. When they cut the wood for the windows they laid a tarp on the grass and still half of the saw dust was on my lawn. When they finished they put screens in and showed us that there were holes in them but would be back to repalace them. After they left we looked at the windows and there was not caulking in some of them and seams had very little in them. When they came back out they had to redo one window completely. The warrenty paper they gave us was not filled out at all. I have contacted this company many times and all I get is lip service. This is a very bad company. I wish that we would have looked into this more and used a local company.
Desired outcome: I know this company is not going to do anything but we would at least like to have some window screens replaced so that we can open up our windows without bugs coming in.
Siding
On April 26, 2022, two people showed up at my door offering estimates on roofing and siding. I had recently discovered wood rot and termite damage so I was actually thinking about new siding.
After 4 hours of presentation I told the people I would think about it and get back to them. I did end up agreeing to purchase siding. DaBella people set up the loan for me at First Security Bank. All was well or so I thought.
When the siding crew came and started tear off, they discovered dry rot and termite damage which of course would cost me more. Now DaBella told me over and over that the siding people do not work for them. I kept reminding them that I didn't hire anyone and DaBella was the one to send the siding crew to my house.
The siding crew came April - A&E Siding couldn't do the tear off of the dry rot so the owner Alek hired other people to do the framing and sheathing. A&E siding claims they don't work for DaBella and the people doing the tear off also didn't work for him. Which I find odd because I personally did no hiring of anyone but DaBella who is just a hub business that farms out all of the work.
A&E I had nothing but trouble with and Dabella refuses to do anything about it. I have emailed back and forth with both Alek from A&E and Faith Middleton of Dabella. A&E didn't have a permit so someone reported us and here comes the city building inspector. When the inspector inspected the work they had done he informed me that he couldn't pass it because of shoddy workmanship. They didn't use treated wood and they put new wood up against old wood they hadn't removed. Now the framers told us they were done and Alek said they were not done which is why there was good wood against bad wood. Then the inspector said A&E doesn't have a business license to work in my city. A&E questioned the necessity for the inspector to have been there at all. DaBella is out of OR and they somehow or another got a permit but still no license.
At that point I told A&E I wanted a refund and they were not allowed on my property. I paid $12,000 which I've been told is highly padded. The invoice I was sent shows I still owe A&E $6500. Alek told me to take that money and hire someone else! So he wants to keep my $12,000 which everyone says is way too much and then tells me to hire someone else.
They left holes in my laundry room wall (inside) and my outlets for my washer and dry were exposed to the outside. I haven't been able to wash clothes because of that. My cat (indoors only) managed to get out through the hole in the wall and was gone for 4 days. They literally wrapped my house in tyvek - windows included - so I can't even see outside!
The workers did not have a dumpster and there are piles of debris in my yard. My house has been in a state of disrepair since April. It's now June almost July and nothing is done. Having to find another outfit to do the work has proved challenging.
Please stay away from this company. Both Dabella and A&E siding. Dabella does nothing themselves and won't claim any subcontractors they farm the work out to. Run fast from these people.
Desired outcome: I want a refund. I've attempted to negotiate a refund with A&E siding and Dabella and have gotten nowhere. If I cannot find a resolution I will have to take them to court. At this point - [protected] I have not heard back from Dabella

Abuse and bullying and scamming and incompetence
They apparently are one of those awful outfits who hire herds of desperate young people to go out canvassing for people to sign up to run a scam on. A very young man turned up at my door last night about 7:15. I explained he was interrupting a meeting I was in but I was interested in an estimate for gutters. I'm guessing the kid was not only exhausted...
