customer service and cleanliness
This is for my first complaint complaint post I posted earlier. I also didn't mention that some of us are allergic to certain bugs and to dust which also why I'm pissed over the uncleanliness. We thought that since it was in a college town that it would be more professional and clean. Below is the video I recorded of this experience and all the [censored] I found in the room.
I booked on Expedia to stay at the Days Inn in Lawrence, Kansas so my family and I can see our 96yr old grandfather who we haven't see in 3yrs and we are very disappointed with our stay. I booked for a room for smokers and was called the day of our check in that they gave that room away and put us in a non-smoking room alright fine we were ok with that. What I'm not ok with is that the door wouldn't open even with the keys, bugs are flying in the room when we finally got the door open, the floor was not vacuumed, the bathroom was not [censored]ing cleaned and the pool was green and had mildew growing around the edges! We complained to the desk clerk and he followed us to our room and said the bugs was because we had the door open well we wouldn't have to have it open if the keys [censored]ing worked. My mom stated her concerns because some of us have allergies with certain bugs and he said and I quote "Well if you don't like it get your stuff in your car and get the [censored] OUT".
~Jessica D. Kephart
I'm sorry but I did not pay $103.95 for a [censored]ty [censored] room with a [censored] head desk clerk who wouldn't [censored]ing help us let alone be [censored]ing professional about it. Also if my mother ends up missing money on her card she had to give for the deposit that shouldn't be gone I will be really [censored]ing pissed and I will call y'all until I get really [censored]ing annoying IS THAT UNDERSTOOD!
If there was an option I wouldn't give this [censored] whole hotel any stars.
the deplorable disgusting condition of my room in easton maryland on 9/11/18
You really DON'T want to hear what I have to say about this Days Inn.. it was the MOST disgusting motel especially for a Days Inn that I have ever seen. It was filthy, the sheets were stained, the blankets were torn and thread bare, the carpeting smelled, the pool was closed ( it was as green as grass) the window in our room (201) had a huge crack in it. The hallways and stairs were downright disgustingly dirty/gross. If I had not been so tired from driving all day or looked at the room before paying for it I would have never stayed there. The only decent thing was the older man that checked us in, he was very nice but I'm sure he wasn't the owner and is underpaid. Also we had to literally push the door hard to get it to shut tight cause it got caught up on the carpet because the floor was uneven. A horrible experience. That room wasn't worth $10 a night let alone $100. I intend to take this complaint further. Nobody should have to pay for such a disgusting experience. A refund should be in order. You wanted my opinion, you got it. Elaine Langham 4227 Sylvis Road Westover Pa 16692. Did not sleep all night, afraid what might crawl on me and also didn't use the BR Only to void... refused to take a shower there. I have some pics, I feel that a refund is in order. Totally disgusting and this is the first time I have ever felt the need to report a room I've stayed in.
room conditions
My name is Terry Kilcrease. My fiance and I stayed at Days Inn OKC, 2801 W I 44 Service Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73112, on Saturday 9/15. I had booked the King Suite with a jacuzzi. The front office is a wreck. Chairs laying around, water fountains broke, no restroom to clean up or relieve ourselves. I paid $143 for a [censored]ty room when I could have slept in the street and been safer.
We got our keys and went to the room. The keys did not work. We went back to front desk and got another set of keys. The new set didn't work. I had to go back to front desk and he accused me of ruining them by putting them with my cell phone which was STILL IN MY VEHICLE. He finally got a card to work after about 30-45 minutes.
Because of the key issues we were now running late to our event. My fiance took a shower but will not go outside at all without using a BLOW DRYER to fix her hair. Our blow dryer did not work in the bathroom. We thought it could be the outlet since NOT ONE would have passed an electrical inspection. We called the front desk and asked for a blow dryer. The person on duty insisted we COME GET is but I EXPLAINED we did not have the time to go get it. He brought it over and said it worked. We plugged it into every unsafe outlet we could find and it did not work
FYI we did try to use the outlets the rooms lamps were plugged into but we could not ascertain if they worked since NOT A SINGLE lamp had a BULB
There were cockroaches in the entire rooom
I will never stay at a Days Inn again.
I would never ask for a complete room to be refunded but I am in this case. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT
days inn wetherby uk
We stopped at your Weatherby Days Inn this Saturday night(15/Sept/18), on our arrival bearing in mind it is very to clear I am in a manual wheelchair having had my fight amputated below the knee, & my Fiancée who was with myself carrying our 2 bags of clothes & a large bag with my medical things in it, we explained to your receptionist very clearly that we had book a Accessable room some months earlier & it had been booked in either one of our sit names but we could not remember which one we went to explain that my Fiancée surname is Medjber & mine is Bairstow we also slowly & clearly spelt our names out letter for letter, to which was told unless you have your booking information copy paper work we would not be allowed to stop in the hotel we would have to find another hotel we have stopped at this hotel many times before & never had this problem before, so we could see there was a que of other people wanting to get booked in so we said to your receiptionist to serve these people first so when the 2 couples had got booked in when said to your receiptionist that we could not find it so we spelt our sir names to
her again & she found my name your receiptionist could hardly speak any English so it was clear she could not understand the letters we were giving her for our sir names which is clearly not our problem,
To make matters worse how would you feel sat in a wheelchair & every body in the reception area & bar are staring at you, your receptionist spoke to us as if I was stupid & a non human being, I have had my foot amputated not my brain removed & I am still a human being, it was so clear to your receptionist that we were both very tried but all she did was give us our plastic key to get in our room & told it was upstairs never once did she think to offer to help us with our luggage or open any corridor doors for us again I ask you again how would you feel if you had been treated with no manners or respect by your receptionist,
When we finally got ourselves into the room you had given us it went from bad to worst.
All we both wanted to do was to have a shower & come round, have a nice drink & go to sleep, the wet room was very dirty as you can see with the pictures I am attaching to this email, the drop down seat had got 2 damaged slats on it, the pull down hand rail to the shower took us both to pull it down it had clearly not being maintained every & it had never being cleaned on joints, the shower curtain rail was broken hanging off the ceiling bracket, the wash had basins were both not cleaned correctly including the over flow being black bright with dirt, when I did managed to sit on the shower seat the water in the shower would not get hotter than Luke warm & the pressure was rubbish & then to top
It all the falls on the floor have being set the wrong way so the water from the shower flooded the wet room floor & run into the main bedroom this made the floor extremely slippery for myself transferring from your broken shower seat back into my wheelchair & also for my Fiancée when she helps myself transfer & when she had her shower.
My Fiancée went down to get us both a drink from your bar the same receptionist served her she got my Fiancée drinks order completely wrong, then give my Fiancée a mouthful when & rightly so asked for your receptionist to served her the drinks she had asked her for,
When we did settle down to go to sleep the bed was so uncomfortable & only a double yet in your normal rooms the beds are kingsize so why would you think because I am disabled we would need a smaller bed, you can't use the wet room size as a excuse as there is stacks of room between the side of the bed & external room wall to get a kingsize bed in the room, We heard everybody in the hotel using there toilets all through the night we both got no sleep what so ever, so much so that we just went back home & cancelled going to see our Daughter, Son in Law & our 2 Grandchildren who live in Newcastle because we both felt so tried, so stopping in your hotel was a complete waste of our time & money,
Then to add insult to injury, when we had finished our breakfast I need to us the disabled toilet, I could not believe the state of it, see the photo of it, I went to your reception & reported it to the same receptionist that had treated us so rudely the night we arrived & I explained about it been covered in caked on tish to which she clearly did not understand what tish was so I had to explain to her that it was pooh, all she could do & say was we have no cleaning staff working today she did not offer myself another toilet to us or even come out from behind the reception desk to look at it, your standards for a people like us are a disgrace as you clearly think that disabled people & there partners will put up with anything, we wont put up with anything or more to the point why should we, we paid the same money for our room as everyone else, before I had my foot amputated I spent 35 + years in construction both as a time served City & Guild Joiner to a Site/Contacts/Projects Manager building hotels, Schools & Hospitals & I have never treated any one in this ill mannered way as your staff treated us & keep a room in such poor state of maintenance or a toilet so dirty,
I think the least you can do is give us our hotel money back along with our fuel costs & offer us free hotel accommodation at another one of your hotels of our choice in the uk to show us this is just a one off,
Again I will ask you how would you feel if you were treated as we have being by yourselves,
just waiting for a response
stay at days inn and workers
Hello
We stayed two nights at the Days Inn In Nashville Tn...2460 Music Valley Drive.
When we arrived at the motel..we stood at the counter, no other people in the office, for awhile then a guy walked out with head set on his head talking on his phone...it was not a business call, he was talking in his language, which we could not understand, was not English, and we had eye contact two times and he continued to talk. Then he walked up to the counter asking if we needed help. We said we are wondering cost of a room for two nights again, we had to wait for his reply due to he started talking on his head set again. Never excused himself nor said one moment please. We stayed one night, following morning we were going downstairs for breakfast and three employees, one female and two males were standing three doors down in the hallway and the gal asked if we wanted the room cleaned...my husband said yes but we are going for breakfast and we will be back then u can clean our room. She said ok. We were gone the entire day, returned in the evening to find out our room was NOT cleaned for freshened up...sigh. I went to the counter and a very nice young guy was there. I explained to him what happened and he said that is normal. I asked if I could have a pc of paper to write down for manager, he was kind and sad, it will do no good to complain because he will do nothing about it. He talks to the help and three days later the same problems. I said well if a customer wrote it I am sur he will do something...the guy said no he wont, it has happened too many times. This is so sad. Then when we pulled back the comforter.. between it and the top sheet was a candy bar wrapper...…..
I also noticed the table in the eating area was so flirty and dusty we decided not to eat there. I did email Vince Patal general manager once we got home and guess what..he does NOT care we never heard a word from him. I did email you and the last email we heard nothing. What is going on?
Hope someone will get with us
days inn has not replied back...do they care?
accommodations sold under false information
Was listed as a room for 5 adults. Called to book and asked to make sure. Arrived at midnight tired and looming to get off road. Asked at front desk again it would accommodate 5 adults. Paid for room only to open door and find 2 full beds. No room for fifth person. Went to desk where they told us to sleep 3 adults in bed. No cots or room for one. So 1 slept on floor. Pillows half the size of a normal pillow and lumpy. Not joking sketchiest hotel i've ever stayed in. Really pissed about the lies to get us here. I will contact corp. Office when we make it home. I beleive it is aganst the law to be misleading to sell your service. So sad days inn used to be a quality hotel.
hotel conditions
We booked our room many days in advance. Hallway ceiling at the entrance of our room was leaking heavily, falling and the hallway had a horrible odor at our door. We could not connect to the internet. Our sink drain was clogged and commode seat was peaking and looked nasty. Could not allow our dog to walk out on water and stucco covered floor at our door inside the hallway. Conditions were horrible.

I booked this reservation without checking the reviews, which I normally do, but of all the Days Inn I stay in Canada, (diamond with Wyndham) I took it for granted it was going to be ok. Not so. I brought my wife and daughter for a special treatment in Shohomish, that is not available in Canada. My wife for early dementia, and daughter for a head on accident, she had several years back . When we first saw the room, I said no way we are staying in this room. Went down to the front desk, and asked them if another room was available because of the condition. They said not with 2 king beds. I told them I wanted to cancel the reservation (3 days) and they said it was a non cancel reservation. well we stayed the 1 nite, but that was it, my daughter did not even want to take a shower, the bathroom was that bad. Mildew in the tub edge, behind the door, rust in the toilet paper holder, booger or blood snot on the bathroom door, mold or mildew on tiles by kitchenette sink, walls marked up, rip in carpet, light switches just filthy. When I told the front desk all this, the lady (which I found out the next day was the manager) she said it was a matter of opinion on how a room looks. Then to top it all off, the next morning we see a truck with rodent control. He was setting traps and poison out for rats, that were deserting the mall construction across from the Day Inn, even putting traps and poison in the storage room beside our room. That was it. We packed up and left, even if I had to pay the full 3 days that we were not going to be there, except for the first night. So I phoned Wyndham, and they phoned the Inn and got us out of the other 2 remaining days. But here's the complaint. They still charged a full $159.99 plus tax $21.92 for that filthy room for a total of $181.91. Just down the road, I got us a very clean, newer room at the Navigator Inn & Suites 10210 Evergreen Way (Best Western), for $159.90, plus tax 19.71 for a total of 179.61 for a very clean, modern room. Go figure. Now I can understand paying for 1 nite, but not at that price of 181.91. Do me right on this. Like I said, I have stayed and will continue to book in at Days Inn here in Canada, but will definitely check reviews on Days Inn in the states. But because of their attitude, especially the managers saying it's a matter of opinion on room cleanliness, and charging more then a going rate for a filthy room ( it should be torn down and a new one built, or remodel the whole place, I would like a full refund, but to be fair a least a credit of some sort. You have a good reputation in Canada, keep it.
hope you received the first one
my son was dead
On August 25, 2018 I made a reservation for my adult son to stay for 2 nights in Hillsborough, NJ. He had been living with us after being let out of an inpatient facility in Princeton until he found housing. My son was suffering badly but assured us that he was going to go back into the facility over the weekend. I didn't speak to him at all on Saturday as I was still angry at what had transpired the day before so I needed some time. On Sunday morning however I decided to text him to see how he was feeling, I got no response from him, so I called him, again no response. I am starting to worry knowing the state of mind I had left him in. I reached out to his wife and the 2 of us started to call around to try to find him. I called the front desk and asked him to please ring his room, he did no answer and it rang back to the front desk. I told the gentleman that I was very concerned about his safety and asked him to please have someone check the room. He assured me the rooms get checked at 11 which is checkout time and then they would go inside. After about a half hour I called back sobbing, I knew something wasn't right, again he rang the room, no answer, I begged him to please have someone check on my son I think he is in danger. The man told me if I was that worried to call the police and hung up on me. Could you imagine, worrying if your son is dead or alive having someone speak to you like that? His wife got there about an hour later to check on him and when she got there the police were there and she knew at that point something was very wrong. My son was dead! he was in that room dead and we had to wait to find this out because they at the hotel finally called the police. We could have been spared all that extra grief if the front desk attendant had been a little more sympathetic. I would advise training of the staff to be more sympathetic to emergent situations. My son was already gone, but the extra time of not knowing was heart wrenching.
service
Rude night shift reception. I went to recover my daughter's belongings left in from room previous night. My daughter had called in the afternoon and was told to come by and pick up the belongings as they had them there ready to be picked which were a pair of shoes and makeup bag. After providing a copy of reciept of hotel stay, the girl at the desk refused to look at receipt saying I could of got the receipt from anywhere and refused to look information in the computer or on the reciept. I called the days inn customer care service line to ask for help from a nice gentleman named brandon in the matter and was told me to present the name of the individual who booked room, which I did. Then the night shift person at the desk changed her story and said she now didn't have it.. Even though she had said in beginning she did. She became aggressive when we told her she wasn't be very helpful and wouldn't stay at her desk and talk with us and do her job. At one point she mockingly said "oh i'm not doing my job, really"and started to walk from behind the desk as if she was going to get physically aggressive with me and my young daughter. Ive never in my life encountered anyone who supposed to be in customer service talk to me in this manner. I left with no resolution to the matter and quite shaken. She seemed to be upset that I called the customer care line. I don't think she should be taking care of customers at all as she clearly is not courtesy or profession and reflects a hateful contempt towards customers. I probably should of called the police as I feel I should have been able to get my daughters belongings back.
This happened at the days inn at 1780 aeroplaza dr colorado springs, colorado on 9/9/2018 at around 8pm. My name is theresa saenz [protected].
rooms dirty, pool dirty
We stayed 2 days 9/5 to9/7 to enjoy the pool, we didn't want to get in because it was so full of allergy and sticks and trash.we didn't want to catch nothing. The room had mole on the walls missing tiles in the bathroom, cereal and dead roches under the chair. Was not happy at all, Also this motel was blocks from the beach in Galveston. It wasn't on the seawall like it said on address. I called the front desk asked if someone will clean the pool.he told me he didn't know he was front desk didn't have nothing to do with that. This hotel say smoke free, there was cigs burns put out on balcony and mold. I need a request for a refund! Didn't enjoy the room at all.
reservations
On Sept 7, 2018, I Rosa Rodriguez made reservations to stay at your hotel from September 7- September 14. However, A few hours after checking in. Your front desk Representative Carlos comes knocking on my door like a mad man, telling me my reservations has been canceled for the second time by him because he was suspecting fraud. How can a front desk rep suspect fraud? when Expedia took both my reservation and verified who I was without an issue. On top of that I now need to wait 5- 10 business days to get over $700 back and had to pay another $400 to have my reservations reinstated because Carlos took it upon himself to cancel my booking. Which is already causing me a hardship to have to pay out another $400 for what your employee did. Not only did he cancel it, he was rude, disrespectful and was calling me a criminal in front of other guest. Telling me I am committing fraud. Your representative almost left my 2-year-old grandson in the street because of his actions tonight. what kind of service is that? if you got your payment, why cause us hell? why put my family through the hell Carlos put us through? In my option Carlos should be fired. For the hell I been through by Carlos in the last two days, and being profiled by him and discriminated by his actions. I should be compensated in some kind of way. Because if this happen to me, I wonder how many other guest are having this issue at this hotel.

service and upholding reservation
I made reservations for a night stay in Days in Reno, NV. 5851 South Virginia Street for 2 Adults, 2 Double Beds, 1st floor, non-smoking for 09/03/2018. I received my confirmation, #5136B31988185. On the day we arrived we were told we were upstairs and not downstairs as we requested. We were told that all of the downstairs units were sold out. Now wait a minute...I reserved a downstairs for a reason. I have severe back troubles and my legs are very stiff making climbing stairs a major chore. That is the reason I chose and requested a downstairs unit! How can the downstairs be sold out when I RESERVED a downstairs unit? This is absolutely unacceptable. Why even make a reservation and request something when it is completely disregarded? And while I'm at it, the beds were nice, they were comfortable but, the carpet was filthy with stains everywhere, the bathroom floors were extremely filthy, the toilet was in a major need of replacement as it was in bad shape, clean yes, but it looked like it was made in the 1920's. I really don't think I will be returning to Days Inn in Reno no more, and I have been a customer of Days Inn in Reno for many years. That was really poor treatment to sell a unit that was already sold. It wasn't like we showed up at 7:30 PM, we showed up before the 3:00 PM check in time. The Confirmation # I have on my statement is different than the one I received by E-Mail, the # is 83595EC001566, the account # is [protected], Wyndham Rewards # 167114483E.
hotel safety, and breakfast area
When we entered the hotel it was very obvious it was under a MAJOR renovation. After checking in we walked through a door that had a notice on it saying "construction area do not enter" yet it was the only way to get to the elevator. The first 2 floors were stripped to the bare concrete and there was construction dust everywhere. Our room was basic but again had white constuction dust all over the dressers, shelves, tv, EVERYWHERE. There were unknown stains on the sheets and comforters. The AC was not working and was very loud. The pool was closed due to the construction. We were in room 303 and breakfast was available in room 300. It was repulsive in there. They waffle machine was caked with old waffles, trash and dust all over the counters, frozen sausage links to microwave. The refrigerator was covered in dried milk on the shelves, and something had spilt all over the bottom. It truly was a heath hazard. At 11pm there wasn't any hot water to shower. The location of the hotel was very convenient for both stadiums but in a very unsafe strip mall. After showing some of the photos to my co workers they feel I should have called the health department immediately.
hotel emails us and discredits us and demoralizes us

I feel sorry that you felt unwanted at our hotel. We reviewed your complaints carefully and investigated. The day prior to your check in, the room was cleaned. After it was cleaned it was also inspected by the head housekeeper and found that the room was copacetic. After you checked out, we investigated the room you stayed in. We were unable to find the BBQ sauce spots you mentioned. We were unable to corroborate any other claims you made regarding the room. The head housekeeper said "the room was spotless". As for the check-in process, the night clerk informed us that your credit card declined multiple times. At which point you had to resolve the issue. This is why your check-in time took long. It was not because we didn't want to check you in. We simply could not without a valid credit card. Additionally we extended you the courtesy of a late check-out, something we are not obligated to do. When that extended period was not long enough, you complained that other Days Inn have extended your check-out until 3 P.M. We do not do that. You also mentioned the clerk was not available for 15 minuets. After reviewing front desk security camera's we found this statement to be false. To be clear we will not be issuing any compensation for your stay. Once again I am sorry you felt unwanted, but that simply was not the case. We are grateful for your business. When complaints are valid we have no problem issuing compensation.
Thank You,
Days Inn Utica

I received no receipt for my stay and the representative refused to get give me back my deposit receipt. I would like a district manager contact me. [protected]. Thank you.
cancellation policy for tuscaloosa, al location
I had a reservation for the Tuscaloosa, AL location and went to cancel the reservation in June of 2018 for a September 2018 stay. I was told I would have to pay for one night stay per reservation policy . Please explain to me why this policy is in place for a customer who cancelled the reservation close to 9 weeks before check into the hotel. I would understand if it was one day before the checkin but 9 weeks. This weekend is a football game weekend I understand but 9 weeks would give the hotel ample time to rebook the room. I would like a clearer explanation onto why this is a said policy.
hotel
On our way to Myrtle Beach SC from Pa. We drive a little better than half way every year until we need to rest. We always find a Days Inn or credible hotel along our way. On August 12th, we set out for our vacation. The drive was BRUTAL terrible weather, traffic, power outages, and just overall exhausting so we only made it as far as Chester Virginia when we decided to call it a night as we had already traveled 7 hours and only got 300 miles. We ate at Denny's(also our go to stop on the way) asked our waitress where tge Days Inn was located because we saw it on the exit sign. She gave us directions and we headed over. Check in process was fine and rate was reasonable for a Sunday night. Now im assuming, as i am anytime i stay at a Days that my experience with be comparable. NOT THIS TIME. Immediately I noticed that everyone seemed to be crowded into 1 area of the hotel which was fine but made parking an issue. So we get our bags and carry over to our room. IMMEDIATELY upon opening the door a bug went running across the floor and Meme says "hope that wasn't a roach" laughing a but I said "we are at a Days that wouldn't happen." I killed the bug which seemes to be slow moving compared to what ive heard about roaches ive lersonally NEVER had or encountered an infestation. So we continue on into the room and i needed to use the bathroom I opened the door and they all SCATTERED ROACHES EVERYWHERE, I opened the dresser drawers ROACHES WENT RUNNING! It was tge MOST SICKENING, UNSETTLING thing ive ever encountered. I told meme "I can't sleep here this is awful they will get on the kids and in everything we own". Tried calling front desk because it was late you had to go yo office. I was sickened at this point anyway didnt want another room because they probably al had roaches. Needless to say I was EXHAUSTED. My kids were tired and in just a few short hours we had to be back on the road. So we started reloading the car with what we had already taken in because you can't allow your bags to to be exposed in an area like that. I went and found baby wipes in my car which I used in an effort to "take a bath" because there was NO WAY I was getting in that shower or washing from the sink. We went across the street to buy roach spray $8.69 and came back and sprayed causing us to have to be out of the room for another 45 minutes. We attempted to lay down tarps which we had in the trunk and leave all the lights on but trying to sleep with 1 eye open wasn't working so well and at 1 point I dozed off sitting up only to wake up with a roach running up the wall just inches from my head. It was no use they were there and i couldnt be so we did our best to get a few hours rest in a car that was packed as tight as could be for a 2 week trip to MB . I was so tired and miserable it ruined the first entire day of our vacation. I was exhausted, dirty, just out right miserable and sore from tryimg to rest in the car. Needless to say we left the tarps in the room and when we saw a staff member(housekeeping) coming to work in the am.we immediately made her aware of the situation which you could obviously see she was not in any way surprised about our experience. I just returned home from our vacation and i can honestly say every single Days we saw throughout the rest of our travels that's all I could think of. We also had to purchase breakfast as there was NO WAY we going to eat in a roach infested establishment. All and all I am out $100+ from having to stay someplace which is unfit for humans. I normally stay in higher end hotels on a lengthy stay butvhave a leash used Days or Super 8 to accomodate single or few nights while traveling. I travel a great deal and i have NEVER EVER in my life had such a terjble experience. I'm assuming each of these are run and owned independently but using the Day name aren't there certain standards that one would assume are a guarantee of the Chain? Id really like my money refunded at the very least and make someone aware that a Days is being operated like this as nobody should have to endure such an issue when staying someplace they have always trusted and been clean all across the United States. Doesnt someone oversee and ensure the proper running of of each establishment? Who do I contact because I won't rest until I know this issue has been addressed so no other unsuspecting family or individual has to have this unacceptable experience. Please let me know who to contact about resolving this issue and a refund.
And if you look at reviews you will see this is very typical for this location so its an ongoing and unresolved issue. Please contact be either by email @ [protected]@gmail.com or via phone at [protected] in an effort to remedy this situation.
Thank You,
Breena Zannino
very bad stay and no help with a compensation
Good morning,
I am writing in regards to our stay at Days Inn on 36th St in Brooklyn, NY on 8/17/18 to 8/18/18. We had a bad night at this hotel. We first got there and I know parking is rough in Brooklyn so I am ok with a parking issue, but the problem happened when we came back from our charity event at the Barclays Center. Our room was on the top floor Room 503. It had been raining and stormy too. It was about 2-230 am when my wife woke me up from a sleep and told me we have a problem. I turned on the light and noticed the ceiling was leaking water and it was falling on the bed my son was sleeping in. I went downstairs to the lobby and talked with the gentleman behind the counter and it just seemed they were not giving much of a care. No apologies or anything just discussing back and forth something. Then saying we can move you to the 3rd floor. I took it and went back up to get our things and move down. When we took the elevator and got off the second issue we walked into a fog of pot smell as soon as got off the elevator. I know there is no smoking in the hotel at least there is not to be and to smell that when getting off just made the night even more bad. We went into our room and slept. Got up for breakfast went down and the food was half warm and it did not taste well. When we went to check out the gentleman was saying oh you were so lucky and we were so lucky I am guessing because they had a extra room available. I finally got a sorry out of the man behind the counter and I asked if there was any way of compting us somehow for the bad experience. He gave a firm no and turned around and went about his business. My wife was there with me and watched and mentioned we will call corporate then so I got the receipt and left for our other things we were doing.
On Monday the August 19th I contacted Wyndham and told them the problem and gave them all the information. I even emailed photos as well as the receipt. They gave me a reference number #4086623. I got a email on August 21st from the hotel itself and stated they would give us a refund of 20% of the total bill. That to me was a insult and slap in the face as to what we went through at that hotel. I am one who travels alot and alot of stays are with Wyndham but after this experience and only offered that amount back which I have not accepted yet. I might not be staying at any hotels in this chain anymore . I would like a bit bigger refund as for what happened as I am a guest and to go through what we endured was not pleasant and for Wyndham corporate not to get involved and say they will give the refund also is not good. I have photos I can send you as well as the receipt if you like. Please advise.
Thank you,
V/r

rooms are leaky
I have stayed twice at this hotel for the location and price. The first stay the carpet in front of the a/c was wet. I just kept my shoes on. The second stay at 5am when I awoke and used the bathroom the toilet overflowed onto the carpet. I turned the water off to the toilet. I complained immediately and got towels to absorb the water. Maintenance never showed. I had to go to the lobby to use the bathroom until I checked out. I was offered nothing only told I would not be charged for damage. Well isnt that good since I caused no damage!
