I am a 57 year old college educated female that has had a p/c for 12 years, but I feel like an idiot right now. I was reading a news article (CNN) and noticed to the side a story from a "mom" that lives in a town 30 miles from me about fantastic inexpensive teeth-whitening. Her piece was very "down-to-earth" and believable. You order just 2 free trials and pay a very small shipping fee to get snow white teeth. I fell for the SCAM, entered my credit card info, had second thoughts, and clicked on my bank account. In less than one minute, the $1.95 shipping plus $59.95 had been taken from me. I called my bank and was told the charges were pending and nothing could be done until the charges went thru. I called Dazzlewhite and the thief said I would have to return the product, get a tracking number (which requires paying EXTRA postage) before I could CANCEL or get a REFUND! All of this took place in less than TEN MINUTES. You also have a deadline to get it back to them or you'll still be charged!

What kind of country is this? DO NOT ORDER THE FREE TRIAL FROM THESE CROOKS! If this product was so good, they would not stoop to scamming and stealing from honest folks. NEVER AGAIN will I fall for such CONS on the internet! If you order this stuff, you will be sorry and like me...feel like a fool!

My story above (scam, theives, liars) only gets worse! Now they are sending me emails pretending to be the "good" guys to get more personal info from me! Can you believe this? I do believe they change their product name frequently to keep the scam and money flowing. I've found many complaints about products that sound exactly the same, but with other names. Such as: "IvoryBrites", "Max White Teeth", etc. It was confusing to me why I did not find more Dazzlewhite stories. If you Google it, you will find pages of websites that sell/give free trials. Look on the right side of the page where you'll find it listed also under Target, BizRate, & other well known businesses. Click on them...they do not have such a product! It's shoes, clothing with "dazzle" or "white" in the description!

At one point today, there were THREE ads on this page, YES, this page for DAZZLEWHITE. All of this blows my mind. I will say I've learned a big lesson that, God as my witness, will never fall for this trap again. I will say these characters have learned how to get rich fast thanks to the trust of other folks. Please keep the warning going...I'm usually skeptical about even small things, but not anymore. This is sickening to know what some of our country has stooped to.

I sent my 10th email to Dazzlewhite today. As I've said before...these folks are making mega bucks from honest, trusting people. They are a SCAM, CROOKS, LIARS; no better than bank robbers in my opinion. You MUST cancel your bank accounts; the charges will not stop, no matter what you do. I know it's a big pain to do this, but I personally cannot pay these theives $60 every 3-4 weeks for nothing. You can call, email, chat online, return the trial sample unopened...the charges will not stop! Also each person you speak with will promise you no more charges & refunds. Read all the complaints & comments. I have not found ONE that has gotten their refund & all charges stopped. I thought mine was after cancelling my cc, but 3 weeks later on my NEW cc, there it was $58.76. I do not have any of their stupid scam porduct...returned it same day it arrived certified mail, unopened. We must stop these crooks before they leave the country for good. They are using many addresses & names...Dazzlewhite, Ivory Brite, Maxi White, EZ Bright. That's why it's so difficult to stop them. The "mom" with many names that only paid shipping charges for the free trial just happens to live near you because your IP server lets them know where you are online. Very clever, don't you think? It certainly has dooked a lot of very educated citizens, myself included. Please tell anyone that has fallen for this & feels like a fool to please post their complaint. It will help all of us to stop this & possibly get some $$ back!

To SMARTBOI96: I wouldn't hold my breath that you came out without being scammed just yet...I canceled everything as requested, returned product within 14 days of placing order (certified & unopened like I was told to do), and even closed my credit card account, contacted my bank within 10 minutes of placing order, and opened a NEW cc acct after 3 weeks. Guess what? They charged me $58.76 on my NEW cc acct 3 weeks AFTER they signed for my unopened "trial pkg" sent certified mail. Read all the terms you can find...these crooks are scam artists, no matter what they say in an email, online chat, or live on the phone. My bank had to get them off of my back & out of my $$$ when I filed a formal dispute with every detail, email, online chat, and a copy of the folks around the globe that took the time to complain on this website. Maybe you are not one of countless others that did everything in the "terms" and still got charged, but I would keep an eye on my bank account. Read the number of folks that never received a "trial" product to return or got it after the 14 days had pasted. What are they supposed to do? If this product is so great, why do they lie and cheat to keep posting their ads?

To DJ64:
I found the number for you to try and cancel the Axis Wellness: [protected]. Hope this helps, but keep checking your bank statement regularly. I was told by countless online chats, phone calls, and emails that I would receive full refunds, and all "memberships" canceled. But they were all lies. I had to cancel my cc acct and dispute in writing to my bank before these scam artists stopped taking my $$$. I still check it daily, even though this nightmare began in May. Good luck!

To Addie M #1, 2, & 3: I know most of us on this complaint board admitted to being too trusting, and some (including me) acting very foolishly by giving you our personal financial info (which you certainly wasted no time taking advantage of)...but in the last ABOVE THREE comments about how to stop you from robbing us of even more $$$$; you have so cleverly changed your name and phone number! If that doesn't shout SCAM ARTISTS, I do not know what does. Look folks...the company is suddenly called DazzleSMILEpro (instead of Dazzlewhite Pro) and the correct original phone number is: [protected], not [protected].
Addie, I am sure everyone that placed an order for a "free trial" paying merely the shipping charge would much rather have their $$$$ returned, and you can keep YOUR CONCERNS. This website would not exist if you had a good product and ran an HONEST business.

THANK YOU ANATHEMA!

I could not have said it better myself...if you scroll back to the top of page 1, you'll see I started this "complaint" discussion in May. I hate that so many folks followed in my footsteps, but I did find out I was not the only TRUSTING person left on this planet. Without a doubt, there are probably thousands more that have not taken the time or do not want to admit they screwed up by giving these scam artists their personal info. I despise anyone that takes from others dishonestly rather than getting a "real" job. I read these comments daily...many say the same things I did (how do they sleep @ nite, would you like this done to your family member, etc). A big puzzle to me is why GOOGLE prints these complaints day after day for months, yet continue to place their Dazzle ads on this same page time after time! I guess to some $$$ is $$$$ no matter how you get it. But what goes around, comes around.

Att. Andrewlexington
I started this "blog" when I was scammed in May, 2009. Go back to the the first page to read the first complaint. What else do you need to do? First these crooks are fantastic liars...will say anything to get you off the phone or online chat. I did EVERYTHING within minutes of ordering, returned my product registered mail unopened within 30 minutes of it arriving in my box, talked to several reps, emailed, requested countless times for order to be canceled immediately, called my bank & canceled my cc...guess what? Three weeks after I got my NEW cc, they charged me AGAIN! I confirmed with the USPS that the pkg had been received by them, along with hundreds the same day as mine.
You need to contact your bank asap, tell them your card was stolen, and cancel it. Some folks have had to switch banks. I'm telling you this can turn into your worse nightmare. By the way, they are pulling this scam all around the world, not just USA. Good luck, watch your bank acct DAILY, and don't believe anything these thieves tell you.

ATTENTION: Carolyn Y., Stellaa, A. Peachie, Sharon Kopecky...

Do you not ever feel any guilt because you are choosing to take money from innocent, trusting folks that have no idea the nightmare they are stepping into? There is no doubt in my mind that children and elderly people are having to "make do" with less food, clothing, and many other items that they need because of your scam. Innocent little kids and senior citizens that can't hurt a fly doing without because you refuse to find a job that doesn't rob, cheat, or steal from others that have never wronged you in any way. How do you look at yourself in the mirror? Like the person you see?
God has a special place in hell for thieves like you. God doesn't pay every day, but He always pays. Think about that when you put your head on the pillow tonight.

Talked to my cc company (Chase) and told them how they (Dazzlewhite & Smilebrite) were scamming me. They told me they had heard alot about this already and the fraud dept closed my account ASAP and will credit back all the charges that i did not authorize. They were very appologetic and said all would be taken care of. Makes me feel allot better. -D

No offense, but anything under "sponsored links" sections is a dead giveaway that it's a scam. I like to follow these pages around, and lol at the crap they try and push. This one SCREAMS "I'm a scam" No parent company listings? Affiliates pages brings up a load of garbage. Not to mention, if you just go to dazzlewhite.com, you can see the only two call numbers are Austrailia and England. Any offer like this is clearly a scam. CPA Fuel is an advertising company, and you're buying Dazzlewhite from them. If you fell for this, you've basically payed for 60$ worth of ads. Enjoy :D

Should've added this too...If you look at the ad that says there are two products used, and look at both pages, they have a VERY similar feel to them, I knew they were both run by the same company, someone should look into "smilebright" I think it was, and I'll bet you'll get a totally different set of info, meaning that ALL of the info you're getting is just one big proxy. OR it'll be the same, meaning that the scammers aren't very good at what they do

I fell for this scam to, and i was highly pissed when i saw the extra charge. However the charge was not on my creditcard, because i dont have one:) If i want things off the internet i put the money i need to purcahse it on a giftcard offered by my credit union that is in no way connected to my bank account, and which cannot be reloaded and if emptied, like by this scam, it only empties the card not my bank account. Im still disputing the charges with the giftcard company because i was using the money to purcahse clothing my boyfriend needed for school. They are being very helpful and to my understanding if the "pending transaction" of $58.76 is not turned into a payment in 7 days they remove it. Hope they mean what they said. good luck everyone hope we all get the refund we deserve.

Yes, I got suckered too. If you try to do a search for complaints, I find it interesting that they all fall under the same timeline of when I got scammed. I just got off the phone with them and they were so adamant that I did not read the terms and conditions, but I did and now as I peruse them again, there is a clause that states they have the right to CHANGE the TAC at any time and that my use of the product or subscription to their product constitutes agreement of the new TAC.

I got suspicious of the product when I recieved it because it did not arrive with any instructions on how to use it and there was no product label on the tube. I just figured "Oh well, I just paid for s/h." WRONG! They charged my credit card 58 dollars and change for the so called "Free Trial." I got so irate with them when I found out that they charged me for the free trial and they told me that the only way to get my money back on the free trial was to send the tube back in ( and oh yeah, make sure I insure the package and put a tracking number on it.)

When I told them there was no way in hell I was spending money to put that thing back in the mail, they said there was nothing they could do. So my reply was that I would go to my bank and have them reverse the fraudulent charges which would trigger an investigation. They changed their tune REALLY FAST!

I feel like such a fool because I am pretty weary of scams, but I guess they all get the best of us at some point.

Same here I was charged $58.76. on my cr.netedit card right away and they say it is already sent and all I have to do is send it back within 14 days. Yea right! I coppied the conversation I had with the online operator and that is what they said. I don't know what else to do. When it gets to the house I will have to refuse the product and see if that works.

Official word from the BBB website:

"As of June 2009, this company has received a large amount of complaints. The complaints are regarding consumers ordering a free trial sample of the product. In most cases, the free sample is never received and the consumers are charged $58.76 for monthly membership and monthly auto shipments.

At this time, your BBB has not been able to contact this company. The toll free number is a call service that just process their orders. Dazzle White was using a address listed in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Which location was a UPS Store.

The website is listing a contract address out of the country. The World Headquarters address appears as Gillmap Limited 9 Broomhill, Stanley, DH9 8AZ Durham

The BBB at this time is requesting that everyone please file their complaints with the Internet Crime Department of the FBI. The website is www.ic3.gov

Obviously it's a scam - for a "free trial" the affiliate gets 42 dollars, the CPA network gets maybe 8 dollars then Dazzlewhite have merchant account (credit card processing) fees etc etc - so the only way dazzlewhite can make a profit is if almost every single person who signs up for the trial is charged at least 1 months charges! That's why they make it impossible to get refunds or cancel your first shipment.

Warning to Canadian purchasers of Dazzlewhite. They say the shipping and handling charge is $4.95 but when you give them your credit card is turns out to be $14.70. They ship the product from a warehouse in Pickering, Ontario at a cost to them of $1.18. While speaking to whomever to cancel the order, they do require a tracking number. This is because they are going to charge you the $58.76 regardless if they receive the product back in time in hopes that you will not bother to follow up with them and if you don't have a tracking number you are stuck with that new charge. In the end, don't bother with this company or their products.

Rest of Suckers Anonymous: Hello Ian...

Seriously, just dial their "help line" number [protected] and be prepared wo wait 5 or 10 minutes for a person to speak to then ask for a refund. If they say it was in the terms and conditions of the offer say...

"I did not agree to those terms and I shall be submitting an Affidavit of Fraudulent Withdrawal to my bank"

As soon as I mentioned this they offered me a full refund and gave me a cancellation number for follow up with my bank.

Good luck to everyone getting their money back - if we all do it maybe we can put these parasites out of business.

Whew! I was on the page. I had put in my contact info. But whenever someone asks me for my credit card info, I get a little leery. While it *did* have an "https" in the web address indicating a secure website, the page was too slick looking, and it had that video/audio of the lab-coat chick that kept scrolling with the page -- too much of a hard-sell tactic. Also, all the coments were very brief and overwhelmingly positive and the comments were closed (after only 10) "due to spam." All these things put up a warning flag that made me stop and do a Google search using "DazzleWhite complaint, " which search brought me here. I'm sorry so many people got taken in by this scam, but thank you for coming here and posting your stories as it saved me (and no doubt, many other people) going through the same harrowing ordeal. Messing around with people's hard-earned money is just plain EVIL!

Has anyone noticed that these complaint pages have ads from the same or similar scams? That's because the page subscribes to Google AdSense (or something similar) that inserts ads automatically by using keywords in the page content. There is a way to stop this from happening, but the person who owns the website has to do some legwork to request it. Seems to me that a complaints board would want to *NOT* have ads on its pages from the very same scams that folks are complaining about. Just sayin'.

Just made an order also and noticed that they charged the $1.95 and then another charge for $58.76. I did a live chat and they refused to cancel. The arrogant lady stated that it was clearly stated in their policy and that no refund would be made.
I will do a charge back on my credit card and then if necessary close this card and open a new one. the joke of it is that I printed a receipt for the $1.95 but have nothing for the $58.76... They figure you will only notice the scam after you get your statement!

Don't bother canceling from them, they will obviously put you through the paces and make it very difficult
A charge back will work with your credit card company. We all fall for the impulse scam now and then. Report this scam where ever you can and they will eventually be gone.

AND AFTER SPEAKING WITH SOMEONE ONLINE, THEY TOLD ME THAT I HAD 60 DAYS TO RETURN THE PRODUCT AND THEY WOULD RETURN MY MONEY... according to everyone here, that's a lie too. What the heck did I do? Sign my life away? Must I open a new checking account to have this cancelled? How horrible!

I too want to add to the scam that Dazzlewhite is projecting, I live in Houston Texas and feel very stupid after the white dazzled me. It wasn't until my bank stated charging me, thats when I realize I was taken for $58.99 by dazzlewhite THEN $7.14 and $3, 25 i belive. PLEASE NOT NOT ORDER THE DAZLEWHITE TRIAL SIZE THEY WILL SCREW YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY. My thing this country is facing a recession and the dazzlers have the time to invest ways to drain your pocket. BEWARE, PLEASE BEWARE THE SMALL PRINTS WILL DAZZLE YOU.

It's sad that there are so many scammers netting honest, trusting folks. Even sadder is that the thieves make the victims feel embarrassed about being snookered.

Check with your bank; many are very supportive about contesting such charges. File complaints with consumer protection agencies.

Rather than pay to return the package, you can refuse delivery and return to sender; it doesn't cost you anything. The package must be unopened.

Good luck to you all.

Beware there is a "company" out there called Brightsmiles, pulling the same scam... They charged us $85 for nothing. This type of thing is worse than being robbed. Now that they have your Credit/ Debit info... They gonna try and get you over and over again. And my bank originally charged 2.67 for an international processing fee..what a joke. Luckily we put a claim against the charges and had them reversed. Now we are fighting the Dazzlewhite thing.

What people are missing here is that you are actually signing up to a "membership" by filling out their "registration" form, not just ordering a free trail... Not only to Dazzlewhite, but to two other "entities". And unless you scrolled all the way down 8 or 9 pages to the fine print (terms & conditions) you probably had no idea what you were getting into. But they do spell out their own scam...

" Trial Offer and Sixty (60) Day Guarantee: Where DazzlewhiteTM offers its "Trial" Promotion, and where you have chosen to register for such Promotion, upon submitting your initial DazzlewhiteTM Application, your Active Credit Card will be charged only the non-refundable Shipping and Handling Fee for your initial fourteen (14) day trial membership ("Trial Membership") and you will receive a one (1) month supply of DazzlewhiteTM. If you do not cancel your Membership as set forth in Section 6 hereinbelow, and return the one (1) month supply at your expense, which must be received by us within fourteen (14) days of your receipt of the one (1) month supply of DazzlewhiteTM ("14 Day Trial Period"), your Active Credit Card will be charged the monthly Membership fee of Fifty-Eight Dollars and Seventy-Six Cents ($58.76) ("Monthly Fee"). Your first three (3) month supply of DazzlewhiteTM will be shipped thirty (30) days from the date that your initial one (1) month supply was shipped in connection with your Trial Membership. Thereafter, for as long as your Membership remains active, your Active Credit Card will be charged for the Monthly Fee on a monthly basis, plus Shipping and Handling, every third month, for your ongoing Membership. You hereby authorize DazzlewhiteTM (or its partners, affiliates and/or agents) to charge your Active Credit Card all such fees associated with Membership on a monthly basis."

So now that you were reeled in, what to do? I did'nt order it personally.. it was my girlfriend.. so I'm not sure if throughout the registration process it ever asked you to agree to the "terms & conditions" ... but anyways, it appears they get you for 3months a pop after the first charge, so if you don't really want their "memberships" get out fast by calling the following numbers (you may have a long wait for each one, but hey... how many us make 58.76 /hr.). Call these numbers and cancel like now fast.

"To cancel your Membership, Insider Secrets Access Pass and/or eBook Access Pass you must contact the appropriate customer service line by calling toll-free [protected] for Dazzlewhite, [protected] for Insider Secrets and [protected] for the eBook package."

As far as the first hit of $58.76, hope your bank fights for you or you have to return the product... So what if you are paying the shipping & insurance... at least your minimal loss is being absorbed by UPS or USPS and not going into the pockets of deceivers. We can contact FTC ... BBB ... FBI and any other agency all we want, probably won't do any good as they also have a "advertising practices & ftc compliance" section and "affiliate agreemnet" section down there at the fine print. Even though its a bunch of BS, it probably protects them from prosecution and lawsuits. Lesson learned here, is to never use Debit / Credit online unles you are absolutely positive you know what your money is gonna get you. I get my headaches for free at home.

I did Dazzlewhite and Dentech at the same time on the same day. One was supposed to be $3.99 and the other $4.95. Thank God I check my account once a week. I checked yesterday and discovered they had charged me $107.19 for various products, etc. I can barely pay my bills. Lord, I need your help!

@yoda69k - just because they CLAIM to be FTC complaint does not mean that they are. If people report them to the FTC then the FTC can decide this.

As for refunds - best way is to get your bank to do a chargeback:

I am so angry - mostly at my husband, who has fallen for the Dazzlewhite AND the Brightsmiles scams (at the same time). - He has his own business and is not stupid, BUT I have to nag at him : "Come on, do you think they can run a business shipping all that to you for $2.00, when they have to pay for shipping, advertising, employees, etc?" -- I don't know what he was thinking! But that is obviously why he receives so many emails telling him he has won the Nigerian lottery, or please help me cash my Nigerian inheritance and I will give you 2 million dollars! == he is on the SUCKER list, lol.. But seriously, I want to get my $58 & $83 dollars back, and I guess the only way that will happen is try to get the bank to reverse charges- we already sent the packages back unopened. -- Has anyone EVER received a refund from these companies? WE SHOULD ALL SLAM THEIR TOLL FREE PHONE #s - I will try and call as much as I can, that should get them for at least a couple bucks.. Any lawyers -feel free to contact me, class action sounds good... Maybe complain to the website that advertises this stuff?- my husband thought it was legit because it was on his home/news page. Ive had this problem also, After i ordered the 'free trial' it suddenly hit me how its a bad idea to get these free trial things, always a catch. So i did some research to get some information so i could sort it out.

I contacted dazzle white and after numerous conversations it was put out that i had to get the product, return it and then the money wouldnt be charged. I also cancelled all my future billings and all this extra packages they may you pay for without you knowing.

I then went to my bank and cancelled my card so nothing else could be taken. As this 58 dollars couldnt be stopped because it was a pending charge as long as i returned the product this would be cancelled. It has been 6 weeks and i have not recieved a product to be returned but today I got charged the 58 dollars.

I contacted them and they said ive recieved the product and if i have querys i have to call their support number.
Im not running around after them, ive got my bank involved and they are filing a dispute on the 58 dollars and this will be taken further. This is a complete scam and whoever says read the terms and conditons, i dont care, people make silly mistakes, and when they realise it and try to rectify them they still get scammed? Its fraud, people taking your money without your consent and without your knowing.

It isnt acceptable and i hope people see these forums and posts before buying stuff. I know i will and ive learnt the hard way.

I hope i get my money back because i know my bank will do all they can and this will be kept on file and any other future withdrawels from this company will be VOID. Im going to pursue this and make sure my bank can keep a record and stop other people from suffering the aggrivation and stuggle i know alot of people are having because of these fraud groups.

Ev1 make sure you call [protected] (Dazzle white cust service)to cancel. If the order hasn't left yet you can cancel if it has left you can't.

If you haven't recv'd the order you can tell them & you might get the charges reversed I was told by them.

*They put you on monthly drop ship program if you don't tell them to take you off of it.

I found this out yest after investigating as they told me I am being charged 58.76 American for the Free trial if I don't return it within the free trial period.
you need a special return number 15 digits to return the package back to them. you are responsible for all shipping costs for this as well. If you mark it return to sender you will still be charged. all of that is in the small print they told me.
It is I should have read it all when ordering.

these pl are using every loop hole they can. very shifty if you ask me.

Good luck

Hi everyone,

I've never fallen for a scam like this before and I am embarassed that I let myself get duped...I signed up for the free trials of DazzleWhite and DentechWhitening after reading that momsteethwhitening site. I'm not sure if this is so, but DentechWhitening seems to not be as much of a ballbuster as Dazzlewhite. I called Dentech and they told me my order was completely cancelled and I would not be charged for more than the free trial shipping, and they also took me off of their "advancedwellness" hidden subscription. I'm hoping that is the end of Dentech. They also said I do not have to return the free trial.

However, for Dazzlewhite I had to call them and two extra numbers to cancel the hidden subscriptions for some Diet thing and an E-Book. Dazzlewhite gave me the whole spiel about how I would be charged the 58 dollars and would only get it back if I sent back the free trial within 14 days. However, I continued to incessantly bust their balls, on the phone and on their live chat, and I may have actually gotten them to cave and "master cancel" my membership completely.

Here is a segment of my "livechat" with DazzleWhite:

you: You can do a master cancel of my account, true?

Christina: We are unable to process that via live chat because of your privacy and security reasons.

Christina: You can call our member support staff at our toll-free number for all return information [protected]. They are available 6 AM - 7 PM (MST), Weekdays only.

Christina: Is there anything else I can help you with today?

you: Can a master cancellation of my account prevent the free trial from being sent, if I just signed up?

you: I am thinking of contacting the BBB.

Christina: Kindly contact our phone support they will assist you better regarding your query.

Christina: Is there anything else I can help you with today?

you: How long does it take to reimburse the charge to my account for the first month, assuming I get charged when I get the free trial, which will probably happen?

Christina: Sorry, we do not provide return information through live chat.

Christina: Kindly contact our phone support they will provide you a more diligent resolution.

you: I did and they evaded my questions.

Christina: Please call them again.

you: Yeah I will call them again and again and again. They will never hear the end of it. I will also call my cc company, and write to the FTC and BBB. Maybe the Attorney General?

Christina: Ok, I have cancelled your membership effective immediately. You will not be receiving any further shipments from us, and your credit card has been removed from our auto ship system.

you: Okay. Thank you. Do I still have to send the free trial back to get that 58 dollars reimbursed?

Christina: No, you will not be charged for $58.76.

WHO KNOWS if this fixed the problem, because I have not seen the billing statement yet. However it MAY be possible, if you really bust their buttons and threaten them, that they will back off.

To be safe I also notified my CC company about the matter.

Hope this helps!
