On the 28th of August 2019 at 14H15 I took my 88 year old father for hearing test at an Audiologist. He needed a Hearing Aid. The person there informed us that both his ears had to much wax in and that we should take him to either Dischem or Clicks to remove the wax. Since I've been a client of Dischem for many years, I took him to the above branch in Port Elizabeth. A sister at the Clinic in the Pharmacy said she would do the cleaning. She did work on his ears. The next day we went back to the Audiologist. To our disappointment she informed us that it was the same as the previous day and that they did not clean his ears. This is after a payment of R 155.00 at Dischem. I had to take him to my GP to get rid of the wax. We had to pay for the additional consultation fees at the Audiologists again, as well as at my GP. In this case, it is not about the money, but about the waste of time involved for a simple service that was not done and about transporting a 88 year old man around, and that for a very bad service. Maybe the service at the other Dischem Clinics are better, but I will not try to find out in future. Leon Deysel
