Poor customer service, item missing from my purchase
Dollar Tree Management,
I'm very disappointed that I have yet to receive a phone call or at least a reply to my email concerning my treatment at one of you dollar tree stores. I don't know if your employee's behavior was racially motivated but I do know it is not ok to treat customers that way. It's not that hard to be kind.
The fact that no one has responded to me says something about Dollar Tree management.

Unfortunately, the service I received was inadequate because the cashier refuse to ring up the items I wanted to purchase. I was very disappointed. I enter the line with (I thought) 12 items in my cart, however once totaled I had 14 items and only 12 dollars in my hand. I handed the cashier (Briana was her name) two items to subtract from my total, I would purchase those items at another time.
Two customers waited in line behind me, Briana announced somewhat agitated that she would have to delete the sale and ring in everything again. I said ok. She called for the store manager, I assumed to reverse the sale. While waiting for the manager to arrive she asked me "are you sure you want the remaining items"? It felt like she was putting on a show for the bystanders. I said yes, these are the items want and these are the items I don't want. I asked her what didn't she understand and why was she making this bigger than it is? I said please just ring up my purchase. She then raised her voice and said "I'm not waiting on you, you're rude! She moved all my items to the end of the counter and began ringing up the next customer.
The manager arrived seconds later and she repeated to him, "She's rude, I'm not helping her". The manager "William" never said a word other than "I'll ring you up on the next register". Lastly, I discovered that I paid for ten items but received 9. The nail file I purchase never made it into my bag.
I've worked for the Department of Defense for 31 years, my expertise /background is customer service. Today in your store I never raised my voice, there was no verbal abuse or foul language. Briana needs training. She made the decision that I wasn't friendly enough and she felt that gave her the power and right to denied me service.
Please, I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem and will wait until Monday, March 26, 2018 before seeking help from a consumer protection agency or the Better Business Bureau. Please contact me using the information below.

So yesterday I went to the dollar store around 9:25 to buy some water and pads that I needed and the lights were all on but the doors were locked. And it says on the door they close at 10. So my question is why were the doors lock at 9:25, If they close at 10. Some people decide to go late at night for personal reasons but that wasn't fair. And I wasn't the only one there. Other people came but the doors were locked so they too couldn't get what they wanted.

My mother has been a long time customer and of this specific location she has been shopping apprx. 2 years to date.
Yesterday, March 19, 2018, Linda Carter my mother was for no reason rushed by associate Tatiana Lewis & accursed of "Shop Lifting"!
In front of an entire packed store, without cause, cameras can be checked and it will show my mother doing nothing but grabbing a few items she needed for the family at home.
My mother is 51 and never been accused of such audacious and humiliating actions such as she was in store 1201. She was in tears at home and beside herself, she is a person of habit and has built a routine of the places she shops at, she is not only hurt but feels rather uncomfortable to go back to said location. I am asking that this be handled in a timely manner and that the assistant manager be handled accordingly.
Thank you for your time, if I do not hear back I will more than likely head to a corporate location personally and ask for their assistance. I understand this is a very busy company but my mother's heart and image have been walked on by an employee who does not represent this organization honesty and integrity code.
I have had run ins with lowlives like this skank you are talking about. They are nobody in their personal life and all they do is smoke weed and drink, so when they get to their jobs and they are given a petty title liek "manager" they ty to get as much of a power trip off it a they can.
Your mother sounds like a nice lady and it sounds like this pile of trash was trying to use your mother to get a power trip and saw your mother as an easy target. Simple solution is your mother should have said (or you, depending on who was there) " Am I being detained" (if YES) then what am I being accused of (If they said theft) then call police, ask to review cameras and if your mom did not steal sue the store (that will get their attention) You CANNOT detain someone just because you THINK they stole.
Remember always have a camera on you for piles of trash like this woman. They prey on people who mind their business because people like this are usually rotten.

So we received a new store manager Hannah who treats everyone like [censor]. She took stock hours from stockers so her and Jackie the new store assistant manager can work over night shifts. She took cashier hours to give it to Jackie (her sidekick) cashing that been with the company for years are putting in two weeks notice. We have a cashier that's going to do a no call no show on Hannah because Hannah gave her hours to Jackie. Hannah is writing up employees for every little thing. She is not fair and every since she came to this store it has been nothing but drama. She calls her old store on route 30 to talk about employees of the store on Market st. She's very unprofessional and her and Jackie do not stock product where it is supposed to be stocked. Alot of the great assets to this company is leaving for good because they can't deal with Hannah. store manager wrongly accused me of theft in front of 15 customers
On 03/18/2018 at the Klamath falls Oregon dollar tree store #2757 the main manager approached me and in front of 15 customers he said I was no longer allowed in his store so I asked him why he said for shop lifting. he stated that a week earlier a customer said I stole something which I did not do after i made my porch's the customer asked me to empty my pockets i told her she was crazy and i left the store she starts yelling he's running so i turned my head back towards her and said no i am walking away from you .so the manager who was off that day accused me of shop lifting and said i was no longer allowed in his store he said this in front of about 15 customers so i got the contact information of 8 of those customers who heard everything. so what he did was wrong and unjust for falsely accusing me on hear say so i feel i should be allowed in dollar tree and i feel the manager should be fired or i can contact a lawyer the manager is a male with dark hair and drives a green truck

I was in store number 965 in Williamsburg VA on Saturday, March 17, at 8:05, I went and picked up the items I needed and headed to the register at around 820 and the cashier was blowing up balloons. As her back was to me I informed her I was ready to check out. I was told "I am filling up these balloons, I will be there when I finish,"; I looked the person who was now in line with me and they were as startled as I.
The cashier continued to fill balloons, as another customer arrived and she too, informed the cashier that we were waiting. She said, "They can't I'm only one person,"; I am not sure that I was suppose to hear that but I did.
Mind you, there was another associate in the store who could have helped but she did not call her up until, she realized she did not have change for the fifty dollar bill, with which I planned to pay. I was not posted that they could not take large bills, the sign posted state, 'We need $5 bills."
This is inappropriate and someone needs to do a customer service training, because four people were in line by the time she came and none of us wanted balloons.

not one shopping cart in store
There are no shopping carts at the Dollar Tree Store #7048, at Jones and Cheyenne in las Vegas nv. For about one year, they had maybe three carts or 4. But since Christmas time, there is not one cart for use. Get some carts or shut down the store!
There is elderly housing across the street and they come in to shop at closest store and can buy only one or two items that they can carry. Its very inconvenient not to have a cart. I took my 96 year old mother there to shop and I had to carry her items, my items and also try to make sure she did not trip and fall while my hands are full. Not coming there again until I see shopping carts available.
Employees told me they have asked the district manager numerous times and still no carts. I asked for disrtict managers number. And was told by the employye they are not allowed to provide district manager or corporates phone number and told me to Google it. I believe her. That's ridiculous.
Please get this issue fixed immediately. Bring in some carts so I can shop there again. Hello! People do not go there to buy one or two things.

I am filing a complaint because she had an attitude from the beginning I wanted to do two separate transactions because I was using coupons and then when I handed her the coupons she snatched them from my hand and then the coupons wouldn't go through but I had the correct item for the correct coupon so the manager came and looked at them and said that they were fine that they should go through that the she was just going to put them through herself and then the lady barb was like well someone yesterday told me that not to do it and the manager told her well they're not here and I'm here I'm the manager and I'll put them in because the coupons are correct and then she says oh and she has a whole other transaction with Moore coupons she had a bad bad attitude towards me and the manager just told her well take her the second transaction and I'll put the coupons through and she did and I asked the lady why she was treating me like that I'm a customer I coupon for charity I give away the stuff that I get with my coupons and I just didn't appreciate the way that I was treated just because I had coupons

I have witnessed first hand the way the store manager of the dollar tree in Kanawha city has treated some of his customers and his employee's I work in retail myself and never in all my years have I seen a store manager treat the public like there stupid as well as talk and bad mouth his employee's to other employees not management employees and I know first hand that's a big no no he is talking about them like there stupid and theaves I've watched one girl cry daily because he bad mouths about her to other employee's this has to be handled it's non sense and he needs to learn how to be a real manger I'm sick and tired of the situation he's putting these girls and the customers in.

I visit store #5337 on 03/14/18 bought a pair of headphones for my kids ; which they turned up to be defective. It was more convenient for me to return to store #6608 . I wanted to exchange my defective items but cashier "Janette" responded depot when asking her about an exchange, she was really rude and unprofessional to me. When ask to speak with supervisor in order to receive a better service associate keep on saying talk to her it doesn't matter ; gave an attitude an was rude. Store manager : Diana was no better ; a manager should seek for resolution both employees were providing me with a bad service. Company should take a look of its own employees complaining about their bad disrespectful customer service.

My wife and I were shopping at the dollar tree at 8808 Albemarle Road Charlotte NC. It was about 9pm and the store closes at 10pm. We had a shopping cart full of merchandise and we left it for a minute or two to look at something on a different isle. When we went to take more items to the cart it was gone.
After searching the store my wife Denise asked the Manager if she had seen a cart full of items, the manager "Tasha" said, "I put everything back (with an attitude), I am trying to clean up around here and I asked to see whose cart it was. (The store did not close for an hour)
Tasha was very rude and indignant and I was very careful to be as nice as possible but told her we were shopping close by and never heard her say anything. Tasha continued to be rude and exhibit a total lack of manners or anything resembling customer service. There was no apology, there was nothing but snide remarks, so I said well I guess maybe if the Corporate office told you to be more polite maybe you would be. Then Tasha got really mad and I told my wife (who was getting more things trying to replace what we had selected for quite a while), if a manager of this store is going to act like this to me I'm not going to spend a cent in here, and we left without buying anything.
Good employees may be difficult to find but in my opinion you need to keep looking, because you do not have a good employee in this manager Tasha.

Hi... I need to contact the highest person at dollar tree if possible. Im writing about complaints I have had to make against the local store that I go to off and on in east windsor. I love shopping there but the manager there is.. Well... For lack of more colorful and deserving words, rude as heck and just creepy. A woman named april runs the store currently and I think someone needs to have her written up or suspended, or fired if need be. Few weeks ago I was shopping there and she started following me around from aisle to aisle, arms folded, etc... Staring at me like I was some nuisance or just like some [censor] ahead of her that wouldnt move. I was feeling very violated and creeped out so I asked her to stop, she said "no sorry cant do that boss gave permission to follow u.. Blah blah" not exact words but what I can remember. I know the district manager darren, would not allow this, and if he did, that is really really wrong and bad judgement. I was so upset I had to call and have a cop come over cuz thought she was harassing me. I am sorry I did, but it was necessary at the time. No manager or employee should be allowed to follow or stalk someone down each aisle like a predator so they cant shop in peace. The next time ti happened and I had to speak to a cop, they said she said... Not her words mind u.. So I cant say I believe anyone... That "she thinks you have a history of shoplifting there." excuse me?! The store is always messy and not stocked, but there are boxes of stock everywhere! There are seldom enough registers open, and the employees can be heard complaining about the manager! I have stopped shopping at your store at this location because the store is not operated properly. It would appear to me that the upper management needs to find a new manager for this store of get the problems resolved before you loose even more customers.

On February 24, 2018 my cousin and I were shopping at Hamilton place mall in Chattanooga TN. She wanted to get some things from Dollar tree so we went across the street to the Dollar Tree (store #851 on Gunbarrel rd Chattanooga TN) We walked in, were down at end of and isle and the manager, Daniel Douglas, came to the front end of the isle (note we were at rear of the store, he was at front end) then he proceeds tos yell at me and ask why o came in his store. Very rudely and with several customers in the store. I calmly answered saying that I was across the street at the mall and this was the closest dollar tree. He continued to yell and then left the store. As I was paying for my items, I over heard someone say that he left in the middle of his shift. A few customers said it was unprofessional of him to yell across the store. As long as he is employed by Dollar tree, I will never shop at dollar tree again. I'm telling everyone I know and even ones I don't know, not to shop at Dollar tree as long as that very rude, unprofessional person is employed.

My 1 year old son and I had went to the dollar tree in Truman corners of Grandview, MO yesterday, 3-7-18 between 3-4 pm and there was an associate there fighting with a customer screaming out " Ill lose my job today, I don't care" and I don't know what the altercation was about but there were MANY customers in the store and not even any other associate try to calm the situation down. The cashier "Nita" claimed she was going to call the police and got on the phone with them, a few of us headed for the door because these days you never know whats going to happen. She was very unproffesional and acted more like she was in a gang then in a place of business. I hope you guys can train your employees better at customer service. I used to go there all the time but I can't trust it now. Not with those kid of employees working there. Very disappointed in this customer service.Hopefully you will correct it so other customers can have a pleasant experience and not fear for their lives because of an unruly associate. thank you for your time. I don't know how you can resolve this for me (maybe a gift card would be nice) but I will not be shopping in that store again.

i'm complaining about the store manager
On March 7, 2018 around 5pm I went to dollar tree with my 4 daughters . I was at the end of my shopping just an aisle away from being done getting ready to check out. The older lady that was the only one checking out at the time came up to me with an attitude and her eyes wide open to ask if I'm purchasing the brush in my 4 year old hand. I knew by her tone and expression that she was bother so I responded yes is there a problem and she continue and responded that she was just making sure because she saw my daughter put the brush in her hair and that is dirty. So at this point I'm offended because my i have my 1 year old in my arms and my 3 and 4 year old next to terrified and my 12 year old on the next to me. I told her you don't need to be rude and that she can get back to work since she had customers waiting to get checked out. She continued on saying that's dirty as she is entering her register causing a scene and at the same time she is targeting a 4 year old. So I told her I guess you think your last name is dollar tree and she just continued yelling out nonsense as a walked away to me my 12 year old. When I seen my oldest face in tears i decided I'm leaving. It was a horrible experience for me and my kids I left her the cart said nothing and walk out the lady ran out to catch me and threw that brush and said have this dirty brush. I told her she was a b outside she created another scene by doing this because she had a customer waiting on her while she came outside. She is so unprofessional I've never complained about her because I never personally experienced anything with her until yesterday. I come here regularly and see she is always getting on to Hispanic families and normally the women allow her to get away with her offensive comments however I feel she took my situation overboard because she didn't expect me to speak up. I'm guessing that must be why there is a big turn over in staff.

Every single time I visit this location (eisenhower parkway in macon, ga), the lines are backed up, managers look towarfs line but dont help, employees standing around talking and shelved neefing to be stockef. As an event panner, I spend far too much hete for this. The last time I stood in line for 20 minutes!
Then, the workers seem to get upset when asked for help. This store is falling apart.
wrongfully being fired
Good night I am complaining because I was wrongfully fired and transferred from a dollar tree corporation. I am putting in this complaint because I feel something needs to get done about this I was transferred before my 90 day term and end up only getting two days and then never put on the schedule after that. stolen wallet
I went to Dollar Tree today (3/4/2018) with my son at around 3:00 pm. We're new to the neighborhood. We were shopping for about an hour when I realized I dropped my large red wallet which me and my son both agreed we didn't hear due to the noise from others. It had 1, 200+ dollars in it. I don't like to carry cash around. I was mainly only there to load money onto my prepaid card (paypal). I was just taken away by how much variety and nice things they had. Me and my son check for about 40 minutes looking from all areas of the store except their office. I will be making a police report but a policeman weren't seeming to helpful over the phone just asking what could be done. I'll make a police report in case for specific reasons. Also already canceled and reported all my debit cards stolen. I had alot of personal information in there. If the person who stole it is reading this complaint. I can live without the money. I just want my personal information please return it to the District Manager please or call [protected].
