customer service/ management
I was in the Dollar Tree in Travelers Rest, SC 29690 on March 2, 2018. One older cashier was yelling across the store at other workers. She yelled at one very nice younger cashier to shut off her light and take a break. There were several people in line. When another customer walked up the older lady yelled "What are you doing? Her light is out." The younger cashier looked embarrassed. The customer apologized and moved lines. Then two of the older workers were yelling about who was staying to unload the truck. This was all going on with quite a few customers in line. It made me very uncomfortable and I felt very sorry for the younger worker. I'm sure she dreads coming to work everyday and she shouldn't have to put up with that treatment. Management at this store must be horrendous.
rude employees, filthy store and refusal to refund my money with receipt for out of date and melted orange creme bars.
I visit this store a lot because it is close to my house but it is by far the most dirty store I have ever seen. The floor is sticky food and products are scattered all over floor and not organized.
I was there on 2/28/2018 and purchased 52.00 on frozen food, can goods Easter items for granddads and music. When I got home some of the candy was melted and turned white with holes and the frozen orange bars was half melted and looked to be refrozen. I returned today with receipt and products and the cashier told me she would not refund anything because I most likely left it in the car. That is NOT the case I went straight home 5 minute's away. I have never been treated like that. I believe the health department needs to inspect the food there and the cleanest of the store. Thank you
store is never open on time
Good morning,
I a submitting this complaint on my behalf as well as other consumer's who may have access to may a complaint. I want to first start out by saying the store located at (2480 Briarcliff Rd NE Atlanta, GA [protected]) is horrible. They are never open on time. There are always a line of people at the door or waiting in their car for the store to open. This is totally a waste of time to drive to this store and no one is there to service us. This is not the first time and I'm sure not the last, but this is poor customer service. Not only are we being inconvenienced, but you as a company are losing money and the respect of your company. I hope I am bringing awareness to this problem. I'm sure this isn't the first of many complaint's at this store. It's in a convenient location, but I can go elsewhere than keep wasting my gas going somewhere where I can't be serviced.
cleanliness of store
First off I want to say I love dollar tree. always my go to for my craft supplies. our town has 2 stores. 1 is fairly new and decent. the other one is A MESS...its like they just throw stuff anywhere and not attempt to clean or straighten things up. it's got to where I don't even want to shop that store anymore. employees have a I don't care attitude. I took pictures of some of the areas. there is way more disarray than these pics. It's like this all the time!
pamela-dollar tree employee
I was with my 93 year old Grandmother who has mobility issues. "Pamela" waited on the person in front of my Grandmother. The person saw some hand sanitizer keychain and wanted some. She stood at the end of the checkout line as "Pamela" was checking my Granmother out. I had already placed my items for purchase on the conveyer. Instead of waiting on me, OR HAVING THE [censor] GET IN LINE AGAIN, " Pamela" waited on the [censor] instead of me! All while my 93 year old Grandmother was standing, waiting without assistance.! This was outrageous and out of line. " Pamela" should be fired. I am furious and would like an apology to my Grandmother and myself. I called the store and asked the district manager to call me- I never received a call.

shopping
For going on one year my children and I shop at Dollar Tree..we live in walking distance after about three months. My children have been racial profiled we bring lots of dollars to this location.. I'm fed up for the managers, and cashier's.. They never speak or greet the children when shopping, there is a community behind this location so lots of Children and Families shop here daily.. There very rude with there customers if it wasn't for us customers how would they get payed..
It isn't racial profiling when it is true. Stereotypes are made for REASONS.
customer service
I went to my local Dollar Tree at 5pm, today, 2/25/18. There were two people ahead of me and when it was my turn, the cashier told me to go to the other register that was opened. I asked why, she took people ahead of me. She said she was closed (her light was on). I told her forget it, left my stuff on the register and was walking out when another employee walked up to her register and the cashier (young girl w/glasses) started laughing about me getting mad. I walked up to the other employee and said, she had people ahead of me, her light was on and she won't take me. The other employee said, no she was waiting for the manager. I said, then why is her light on? Why did she wait on other people? When I went to her register, she could have told me she was closed. She should also have shut her light off. I then left the store. I can't believe treatment I received at this store. Vwey disappointed in your customer service, maybe your company should think about doing some training on your employees. I doubt I'll be going back to this store again.
The Dollar Tree Store I went to was in Hollywood, FL (not sure shy CA is showing, I put zip code 33021)

The new management in this store is RUDE. Since the store manager Miss Rhonda left, that store has went to a big mess. Empty shelves, boxes on floor, can't get down aisles to shop. I have never experienced such rudeness from a manager. Dallas is very disrespectful to the customers. I will no longer shop in this store. Bring back Rhonda. She maintained a clean, stocked store with a great kind attitude.

The store is a disaster not to mention a fire hazard every time I enter the store it is not stocked boxes everywhere. With the 6 employees I counted today you would think this store was presentable for shoppers this is how this sore has been for the last 6 months. I am applauded that this is allowed to occur. This is poor management . In the even of an emergency with shoppers in the store looking like this there would for sure be casualties. Exits are obstructed, walking was impossible to maneuver as I my self am disabled I am so saddened as I have had to stop shopping here due to not being able to find anything or walk
dollar tree / manager
walked in today to store #2889 "manager "claudia i really dont know how she became manager ...super rude worst customer service ive experienced in my life . All i wanted was 3 happy birthday balloons all the ones i asked her for she say she didnt have then she had me look for them myself search thru bins and drawers when i said that was her job because id shop there before and never have had to do that she said it was her policy she was manger and was the only one in the store. after i found them she wouldnt blow them up for me because she had been blowing up balloons all morning .Not my fault..i had just walked in i am sorry but i am a customer not an employee. she said if i didnt like it i shouldnt shop there . when i asked for her name she wouldnt give it to me . i asked for someone above her she said she was the only employee and manager.another customer saw a couple more employees in the back who she reffered to as just cashiers they cant help. she wouldnt call anyone else to help me said they werent clocked in.but they were working so i asked employee said that is her attitude all the time towards customers she feels like no one can do anything to her because she is manager .ihave honestly shopped here for yrs and never had someone treat me the aay she did i feel truly offended just her comments and horrible attitude is not right. i wont be going back eventho i love the dollar tree. i called corporate hopefully they do something. i mean just because its a dollar store u shouldnt be treated with poor service . and thats what she made it seem like ur at the dollar store dont expect employees to be nice . horrible experience id say. something def needs to get done i am sure i am not the only one thats had a complaint against her
service
Dear Sir/Ms
I have been in your store a number of times and have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Gloria, one of your salesperson.
She holds herself out to be a manager but acts in an extremely unprofessional manner.
Whenever I approach her with a question she always responds in a loud and rude manner. She also rolls her eyes as though it a hardship for her to answer some simple questions. She is in need of some instruction from a real manager regarding how to deal with the public.
Until such time as her attitude improves, or she is no longer working at the store, neither I nor my friends will be returning to the store .
service
I was at store Dollar Tree in Youngstown, OH, store #5889. I did not get greeted like I normally do and then as I was in line to check out there was a woman in front of me that was talking to the manager on duty, Keith, and she was just asking him how his day was and if the store has been busy all night, because it was kind of busy at that moment for a few minutes. And all of a sudden all I hear is the manager on duty, Keith saying that he don't know, he don't care, he's not paying any attention to that place, on top of cussing saying the F word. There are other people around Karma there was a lady with children behind him in another checkout lane. I just feel it was very inappropriate to have a bad attitude about the store and to be cussing saying the f word repeatedly. If that is the type of attitude the employees at that store or going to hold, I will not be returning to that store.
greeting/acknowledgement
Walked into the store and 2 employees walked by without a hello, they continued with there conversation. free I got my 1 item i went to the register and as the hey walked up I expected a hello or did u find everything OK: nothing - he just scanned my item and said the price. I asked "You guys don't like to speak to customers?" He said what do you mean? I said You both just walked by and never spoke and just now u didn't speak. He said "OH." Then I asked what's the store location number and he stated he didnt know. Wondered if he was even an employee since he was wearing a Charter Spectrum jacket
Store was #1001.
lack of inventory in store
I have been a customer at the Dollar Tree store located in Millington, Tennessee for many years. For the past several months there has been a dire shortage of inventory, many empty shelves, and very few employees. All indications are that the store is severely short-staffed. We don't want to lose our store due to a drop in sales, when lack of sales is due to severe shortage of products available for sale. It appears that you have a newer manager in charge... maybe you need a new one before there isn't a reason to keep the store open.
The store is only about half filled. Looks like they are going out of business. Employees have commented they have plenty of inventory but no one to stock the shelves. Other stores in the Memphis area don't have this problem. Your response is very cocky. You should have the store checked out instead of making smart aleck comments.
People who shop at Dollar Tree should just be grateful and take what they can get. Better still, move up to a Walmart. Dollar tree, the absolute [censor] tier of places to shop.
I don't want anyone to reply to my letter. Everyone on this site is a loser so everyone needs to shut up.
I did not post the above message. Apparently someone is playing games!
manager
The manager at the Green Valley store on Green Valley Pkwy and Sunset in Henderson, NV is truly the worst human on the planet and you need to secret shop her to get a taste of her wrath. As I shopped one evening I had asked her a question about a product to have her scoff at me and say she is the manager not a fortune teller. As I left the store she was demeaning another customer and when we both exited the other lady was crying. We talked and it was because of this blond lady manager you have and when I called the store to make a complaint the employee saif it's like working for Hitler and she is mean to everyone. You better really look into this lady because you lost the business of myself and the other customer brought to tears.
change of price and taking back purchase
Tonight as I walked into the Dollar Tree store 5863 Walla walla, there was a bin 4/$1 with an assortment of Valentine items. I grabbed 7 boxes of cards. When I went to purchase the rang up $1 or .50. Meghan called management and they said take back cards. They refused to sell item for price Marked. They said cards were a dollar although clearly labeled 4/$1. Esperanza was going to give cards for a dollars but after meghan called management they wanted to pull the cards.
no public restroom but no sign posted stating this
A special thanks to Karen the manager of the Northwood, Ohio, Dollar Tree at the Great Eastern Plaza for being so mean, nasty, and deliberately hateful to me; her belligerent attitude is astonishing. Today, February 20, 2018, at approximately 3PM, there was no sign posted anywhere in the store that a public bathroom is not available. The stores in Oregon, Ohio, and Perrysburg, Ohio, each have public bathrooms. I am an ostomy patient and needed to empty my colostomy bag, it was an emergency. Two months earlier, I went into this same Northwood, Ohio, Dollar Tree and used the bathroom, no problem. This time, Karen, whom I had never seen in the store prior, angrily told me there is not a public bathroom and I asked her if I should [censor] in one of the store's aisles. I told her it was an emergency and went to the bathroom, which was appallingly filthy - complete with near overflowing trash can, a broken towel dispenser and no room deodorant spray. Karen made such a racket outside the bathroom throwing shipping boxes of items around, I was afraid she was going to bash in the wall or the bathroom door. She makes Dollar Tree of Northwood Ohio look even trashier than it currently is and she does not deserve a job that has public contact, she doesn't know how to behave or empathize with others. Pathetic. Never again to that Dollar Tree in Northwood Ohio and I hope they are out of business and Karen out of work very soon.
customer service
Customer service is very poor. Cashiers are rude, always have an attitude. Store closes 15 mins early occasionally. Today 3 registers were open (1-3) but #1 said #2 was closed. I said, "oh. Why don't you turn the lights off so we know." #3 was so rude & made a smart comment to me while she was with a customer! I simply ignored her to avoid conflict
unethical behaviour from store manager and cashier
The incident happen on 02.14.2018 at approximately 5:20PM.
I went into the store for a valentine balloon and the cashier said that the store had sold complete sold out of valentine balloon. I then asked the cashier about a star balloon and the cashier nod and shook her head and I commented that I did not understand her answer and I asked the cashier was that a yes or no answer? So since I did not get a reply, I chose another balloon and got the same reply, the cashier nodded her head back and forth and from side to side and I said that I do not understanding your response can you speak to me please by that time the store manager came out of her office with a handful of cash in her right hand and said you are not going to talk to my employee like that, and I replied that I am just asking a question and not getting a verbal response because I was not reading the cashier's body language. The store manager stated that the cashier was just a child and should be treated as one. Then the store manger finally said "can I help you" I told the store manager that she could not because she has misinterpreted the entire situation. I told the store manager that only God knows that I was only asking a general question and the store manager blew it out of content. There were other customers standing by and disagree with the store manager's reaction. I departed from the store because I do not like a scene.
I am a cashier supervisor and I would have never approached my customer's in this manner like the store manager approached me. For starters, I would have locked up my cash in the drawer or vault before I approached a situation and not displaying it in my hand. I would shown customer satisfaction is my priority and I would implement additional training for the cashiers
service
Nicole, Marybeth, and Ronnie run the worst store. Marybeth is rude and loud and lady. Nicole is on her phone in the office where her conversations echo for most of her shift and Ronnie just turns a blind eye. That is not a good store manager at all! I go in for ms. Barbara and ms. Bryana, and ms. Lisa. Those poor ladies work with very little help and get crapped on by the 1st assistant Nicole who does nothing but the worst part is it doesn't look like there is anything training that goes on there at all. They are thown to the wolves and left to fend for themselves being disrespected and talked down to in front of customers and everything. I have seen one of the girls break down because of the way she was yelled at. She said her parents don't even talk to her like that. I felt so bad. The store is dirty, boxes of stock all over the place at all times and the manager Ronnie doesn't seem to be botherd. That is the worst management team I have ever seen. I am a manager and would never disrespect my staff the way that store does their staff. Disgraceful! I started to drive 40 minutes out of the way to go to a pleasant and friendly store in Goldsboro.
