Engine mounts and carburetor/purchased a lemon
Engine mounts went out immediately, within 2 weeks of purchasing vehicle September 6, 2019. Had to fight insurance company to get fixed. It took until the end of October, twice in the shop. Then the Carburetor went out right after receiving the vehicle from the shop. Not covered under my extended warranty! In the shop 3 times in 2 months. I want to sue them...

I call to see what they can do to help us fix the issue and they said you are on your own your contract states you only have a 30 day 1, 300 mile warranty. I am in...

RE: 2015 Ford C-MAX SE 1FADP5AU5FL107487 Odometer: 83, 184
Purchased: 01/02/2019 Purchased from: Drive-Time Lauderdale Lakes 2300 N. State
Rd. 7 Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33311
On Tuesday, January 29, 2019, I was driving when I heard a pop sound. Immediately, the car started pulling to the left side. Unable to steer or control the vehicle, I was pulled over the curve and into standing foliage. I brought the car to a complete stop. Unable to move the vehicle, I had to have a tow truck pull the car out. At that point I could see that there was a real problem. The days prior to this incident, I was hearing a thumping type of noise while operating the vehicle. This noise became increasingly louder. Also, the front wheels would wobble when I started to drive from a dead stop. It was my plan to take the vehicle for a diagnostic review of the noise and wobbling on the following day.
I had the vehicle towed to McKenzie Auto Center at 4410 N. Federal Hwy. in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Ph, :954-779-1418 (I have included a copy of the tow truck receipt.) After deliberation with my insurance company, I was informed that they would not be covering the repair of my car. The resolve was due to the fact that my car was still under the 30 DAY WARRENTY, and that Drive-Time/Silver Rock was responsible. After reviewing my policy, I verified that my Drive Time Coverage does in fact cover "Drive axle housing/differential and all internal lubricated parts, Drive shafts, Universal joints, Constant, velocity joints, Wheel/hub bearings". This was not an accident, this was as a result of breaking car equipment. I have learned that the issue is due with the vehicles faulty control arm. This was not discovered by Drive Time, because I have since learned that Drive-Time did not perform a 25 Point Inspection prior to my leaving the car lot. That was confirmed by Mida a Consumer Relations Mananger in Phoenix, Az..
Since the time of the incident, I have spent $250.00 for Lyft Rides in commuting to and from work and medical related appointments. Also, since January 29, 2019, I have not had my vehicle for transportation. My credit rating has dropped over 300 points. I've suffered emotional and physical trauma. And, I was forced to take a Florida Driving Operators Extended Road Test. Also, in order to satisfy the storage fee of the unusable car, the car has a lien placed on it and then sold at auction in September 2019.
I am asking that Drive-Time provide me with the following:
• Satisfy the outstanding loan balance on the vehicle with Bridgecrest Financial.
• Help to restore my credit standing on all 3 credit reporting agencies.
• A free automobile of my choosing from their inventory.
• A complete inspection and/or repair of the vehicle equipment, electrical system, vehicle computer, latches, locks, door locks and a 25 Point Inspection to include Lights/Electrics, Under the Hood, Breaks/Hub, Underside, Wheels/Tires and Tow Bar
• Reimbursement for the tow truck fees associated with this incident
• Reimbursement for the monies spent in hiring a Lyft for transportation
• Compensation for the stress, anxiety and emotional position that I have experienced as a direct result of this incident.
The results of damage to my car IS NOT MY FAULT, it is due to FAULTY CAR EQUIPMENT. I was within the 30 DAY TIME PERIOD, and this qualifies as Drive-Time's responsibility to cover all cost associated with this issue.

I also got a car from drive time. A 2007 Camry and I had to pay $470 a month and that car was only worth $2, 000. I had to leave the United States because I got orders to Japan and they said that I would still have to pay on it even though I no longer wanted or needed it. Drive time really scammed me because my credit wasn't the greatest at the time and even after having the car for 3 years my credit didn't rise that much even though I paid on time. I would like to be added to the lawsuit.
lemon car
3 days after purchasing the car I found out it had a bad cv axle and 4 days after purchase the Cadillac converter went bad. I also found out the back breaks are completely bad. Once the shop fixed it and took it for a test drive the battery light came on and it turns out my alternator is also bad. This is unacceptable, especially the breaks because I had my...

Too much information to provide, I have a 2013 Fusion with defects that cannot even be fixed by Ford, DriveTime will not fix or replace the vehicle, I'm trying to get out from under this loan, DriveTime will not let me
Even after telling them for the past three weeks to come get the vehicle, they will not take the vehicle and keep calling me for my payments, I stopped paying about a month ago when the vehicle stopped running
I can provide all documentation, I am very busy with employment/ family issues/ and designing possible Medical Technology breakthroughs...
I don't have the time for a Buy Here Pay Here lot to keep getting in the way
Television Commercials
The Drivetime commercials that are currently running on television, are way too loud ... especially the one with the black woman in the green attire that appears to be the spokesperson. When the commercial comes on, the sound on the commercials is always way too loud and that woman's voice is very, very loud and very grating. Please dump those commercials.
credit report is incorrect
My name is Mrs. Ortiz, and my complaint is against Drive Time and the financial Company they use BRIDGECREST.. they have put on my credit report a charge off for a truck that was up for repo around February of 2019, but I paid them before it was picked up and I'm still in possession of the truck and making my monthly payments...because my credit report reads charge off, this has stopped me from getting a car from any other car lot.. and they are refusing to take the charge off off my credit report. I have spoken with BRIDGECREST MANY TIME ON THIS ISSUE AND THEY REFUSE TO CHANGE THE REPORT..

I have had my SUV for more than 2 yrs when I purchased the car drive time it had a flat tire minor but should of been a red flag since I had the car things have been wrong with it . The SUV had more than one owner as well so I feel like I was over charged for the car I fell behind in the payments trying to keep up the maintenance on the car. It finally got where I couldn't do both I was at the Walmart aking a payment didn't realize they was out repossession the SUV. I was trying to do both pay on car an service the car. So I call them an they said they had the car an I had to pay 2, 000 to get her back I was struggling trying to keep it running. I then they sail the car for 2200 an tele that was fair market value. But I owe them 15, 0000 dollars more the car would of been paid for in 2023 I think they overcharged ffg or the car an the cars an SUV needs work before sailing
my car
So I bought a car from drive time in 2015. Since then it has been in the shop 5 times. The first time was a few months after we got the car. The most recent one was a week ago. So we got a call from our mechanic today saying they put a chip in your car that if you dont make the payments the shut the car down. I filed bankruptcy about 4 years ago the car is in my bankruptcy. There is not a payment that has been missed. I have to pay for another tow truck to have it transported from my mechanic to a ford dealership to have them fix the chip. Drive time is a scam. In between it was transmission issues, electrical issues and so forth. They sale lemons and have no problem doing it
car was in the shop the first three weeks after I purchased
I purchased a 2015 Lincoln MKC from DriveTime in Owings Mills Maryland. The second day I had the vehicle I noticed a clicking sound. I called the location where I purchased the vehicle and they told me to take it to a deale and there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to the salesman that sold me the car, I was told he was not available. I took the vehicle to Bob Davidson Ford in Towson Maryland. They look at the vehicle and told me I needed need struts and a number of things. I was in tears. DriveTime was not taking back the vehicle because it had been over the allotted time . I think 72 hrs. The assistant for repairs at the dealership felt so sorry for me and could not believe they sold the vehicle to me in this condition. She put me in a nice rental while my car was being repaired for approximately 3 weeks at no additional charge. I thank God everything was covered. I should have known something was wrong when the horn didn't work the day of my test drive. I thought everything was okay because they repaired the horn and call me back in for test drive 2 Days Later. I was happy when I received the car because this was a car that had everything I was looking for. And they shipped it from Washington free of charge.
I'm really disappointed with the way DriveTime handled everything.
2013 ford fusion
I had began financing a 2013 Ford Fusion in July of 2018 through DriveTime, I thought it was a good deal because the vehicle only had 64, 000 miles on it and it looked like it was in great condition and I used to be a fan of Ford products
I returned it to Ford for some warranty work involving the cooling system which was fixed in 3 days, and Ford gave me a rental for like four bucks a day. So I was pretty content until December 30th of 2018...
At this point the transmission went bad, DriveTime said that their shop could handle it, so they had a replacement that was refurbished sent to the shop, the transmission only lasted for 40 miles (and they had it in the shop for 2 weeks that point), and they put in another refurbished transmission. The transmission still kept shifting funny and had weird noises coming from it, so I went through the BBB in the FTC because of complaints about DriveTime and their parts
In March of 2019 ( 2 months after the transmission was put in) DriveTime leased me a rental car for a day and a half, well they stated that they had one of their inspectors look at it
The inspector could only find a couple of missing bolts, I'd had the car checked by Ford and they just stated that they were missing and loose bolts all over it, and the only warranty shops that DriveTime referred me to either couldn't handle Transmissions or (as one shop stated) only Ford can service Ford Transmissions
Part of my statement to the BBB what is that since I used my 2006 Ford Escape for a partial trade on the down payment that I would b have been content if they put me into another vehicle and refunded or credited at least part of the payment for the Lost time that I had without my vehicle ( they refused that, nor would they put me into another vehicle)
I have been through local media trying to get myself removed from this contract, I complained to the FTC because most of the warranty provider shops that I was referred to (stopped working with DriveTime because their contractors would give them defective parts that the warranty shops couldn't cover anything anymore under their warranties), and the only thing I'd ever really received them are a couple of bolts in this supposedly new transmission and a few nice words here and there
The vehicle is so prone to Mechanical defects that Ford actually offered to buy it back from me ( not knowing that I'm still financing the vehicle), I am consistently nervous every time that I had to drive the thing, and I am part of a class action lawsuit against Ford over their defective Transmissions
In spite of the fact that Ford has offered to purchase the vehicle back for market value, and the fact that the vehicle has become a money pit, DriveTime still does not want to take the vehicle back...
And if they do, they're acting like they're going to sell it again
Flash Forward to July of 2019, and I tried to give it a tune-up...
I replaced 3 spark plugs with no problem, but the fourth one stripped the threading, and a few of my friends (who are certified mechanics) have stated to me that this is a well-known problem with Ford engines
So the only way to fix this is to buy a new set of heads on a car that is just now 80, 000 miles (the owner's manual recommends your first tune up at 80 to 100 thousand miles)
And even though I am not ase-certified, I do have a year-and-a-half of auto mechanics from high school and I have changed hundreds of spark plugs in my life, and I actually do have some Automotive certifications...
And I have never once stripped a spark plug threading in my life until replacing the spark plug in this Fusion ( by the way, Motorcraft sold me the spark plug kit, and only three of those spark plugs were good, so I had to go back to Ford to order another spark plug which ended up not being able to be put into the engine anyway)
On August 6th of 2019, I emptied out my fusion and let DriveTime know that they can have it back, and they still keep calling me for payments and to try to fix this car
This car is an unsafe and expensive piece of junk that I am always nervous driving, Ford will buy it back, I have had the vehicle for a little over a year now, and a grand total of two months that I could not drive this vehicle
I have all documentation stating everything that I tried to have resolved through the BBB and the FTC over this car, what DriveTime still won't take the thing back or give any form of reimbursement to me...
Yet they still want my money and the car
drivetime
First I was given a bad car. It ran fine for the first month but after that the car wouldn't turn on. I had to constantly get it jumped. It was a hassle to get drivetime to do anything for it until they offered to get me a new battery. Then the radio was messing up, it wouldn't turn on. I had to turn the car on and off so many times just for the radio to work. I complained about that but drivetime didn't care. I went through a few financial issues and I called bridgecrest that I wouldn't be able to make the payments for the car anymore. About a couple of weeks, the car was repossessed. The people that repoed the car threw my belongings everywhere in the car, it was a mess. After 2 years of not having the car, i was subpoenaed to go to court by drivetime & was sued for over $12, 000. They're horrible and don't care about financial issues that you may have. My credit wasn't bad when I applied but the repo hit my credit hard!
lemon of a car I bought 21 days ago
I bought a 2013 Buick encore and the day after I bought it it had to go in the shop it was in the shop for 10 days and then I got it back it didn't seem like it was working well but I kept it for five days and then I had to take it back to the shop. I have been at home going on my third day without a vehicle because the only rental car company that silver...

I was basically ripped off from the drive time company for a car that hasn't worked since I purchased it. All phone calls I've been documented all information has been documented since day one. When will the lawsuit begin? The sooner the better. I was sold a lemon and I contacted the warranty department. They told me the warranty didn't cover oxygen sensor. I requested another vehicle and they said nothing was wrong with the donate i had. The vehicle failed the inspection to continue drive and I asked them to pick up their vehicle. I've been going through anxiety and depression with this experience I went through with this company. Unfortunately i have this on my credit and I don't have any money to pay them. I could barely afford to eat after paying my bills for my basic needs. Help somebody. I really need help.

I got a car 2012 Dodge Avenger from drive time and it broke down the first day. I had so many problems with this car and had to put it in the shop time after time after time. 2 months after getting the car there was a mechanical problem that cost me $1800. I would like to join this class action lawsuit because I was ripped off. What information can I get to join this? They sold me a lemon. They claimed they had a mechanic check the car but they lied.
