eBay Customer service

Since covid, ebay has made it impossible to talk with a real problem, ever when a reseller is engaging in fraudulent activity. Rather than simply accept the return of a damaged item... Damaged prior to shipment... Shipper is trying to file a fraudulent insurance claim with fedex. There was no damage that occurred during the shipment.

I've tried to reach ebay by phone, but all avenues cut one off with no legitimate recourse.

eBay Profiled banned for no reason

Your company banned  me with out  looking  into this further and figuring out the badge I was selling  has nothing to do with the police your company policy states u  can not sell  police  or federal badges on there since when is security part of this matter  your company   apparently  thinks its the same which it is not at all your company  has profiled me and does not care to   fix it  when you should  look into this matter before  banning some thing that is false and  if your staff was  really professional in trust and safety area you would have looked into this further and figured out its not the same thing period at all  there is  several badges on ebay that are security https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=security+badges&_sacat=0

The link I posted  shows  badges on the web site still  and they are not police they are security like mine was so your company needs to   find a real reason why they did this cause u have no cause  I was profiled by your company   and u have nothing better to do this report things that are not inviolation  I want this matter  looked into now other wise I will be filing a complaint with the  state attorney generals office and aclu and eeoc for  profiling and being treated unfarly with out cause

eBay Refund of returning shipping fee

The seller is cheating and ebay can't hold the seller accountable, didn't step in for the customer.

"Nintendo Wii Console (Black/White) Kart, SPORTS + Original Remote Controller" I bought have problems. One remote controller doesn't work at all. There is not country option for USA. It can't read wii disk I bought. It can not provide clear video with constant flashing even for the disk accompany with the console. When I requested a return, the seller told me he can't generate returning label and agreed to pay me the return shipping fee. After month's request, I still didn't get the refund. I asked ebay help solving the issue. but ebay can't hold the seller accountable and didn't provide me the investigation results. Based ebay policy, it is the seller's responsibility to pay for the return item. If the seller didn't pay, ebay should pay to protect the customer. ebay doesn't keep their promise either. I really doubt that anyone can hold ebay accountable because I see many similar complaints.

I hope ebay can response to the following concerns
1) ebay promise to investigate the seller, but didn't provide me the investigation result. 2) would like to know why ebay can't hold the seller accountable. 3) would like to know how ebay handle the customer's lost for its seller's cheating behavior. 4) based on ebay policy, ebay should pay. It seems a broken promise.

eBay Forcing everyone to link a bank account

Ebay has halted all my privileges until I upload a bank document. They are making me upload an original bank document so they can verify it is my bank.
They are forcing every seller to link a bank account. This is absolutely ridiculous. As of 10/16/2020 I am unable to complete a purchase of a shipping label to mail a n item I sold yesterday. I have been a seller on ebay for over 10 years.

eBay id change

I have blocked a bidder because he did not follow my policy's. Somehow he kept changing his id so he could continue to bid on my item after i've block him several times? I have the emails to prove it too! All I keep hearing from ebay is they take this seriously I don't think so sorry to say. The time they keep investigating the particular bidder i'm already scammed again?.

eBay Mandatory use of paypal for return postage

Experiencing same situation as other buyers. Purchased item on Ebay, received item and found size too small. Initiated return IAW Ebay policy explained on website.
Understand and willing to pay postage to return item to seller. However, do not have nor intend to create a Paypal Account!
Tried phone call and could not successfully resolve with Ebay Rep (assume human but clearly reading a scripted response)
Attempting to contact seller directly by email on Oct 7. No response as of date.
Will challenge through credit card holder.
Prior experience with Ebay highly succesful. This situation extremely disturbing!

I had the same situation wrt creating a PayPal account before I could get a return label. Seller ignored my messages to send me the return address so I could pay for return. When finally got a hold of eBay rep "she" gave me a non-response response, i.e. ignored my points about creating a PayPal account and foot dragging. Company based in China with a Portland, OR store front, and had a 100% rating. eBay removed my low rating.

eBay Refund policy dispute

A refund was denied for the above order due to a crossover in eBay's mind with a Paypal Claim! There was NO Paypal Claim Refund. This matter needs to be readdressed by eBay. And I need to be Contacted by a Human Being to get this resolved. eBay's constant computer generated messages are not getting the matter resolved satisfactorily. The problem was Initiated be eBay in the 1st place by REMOVING the item, directly after the transaction was processed. And then Still Allowing the payment process to proceed to a Fraudulent SELLER. eBay Online consumer to consumer sales through their website

Ebay practices deceitful business practices; such as 100% customer satisfaction — not. They remove users' emails. Refuse to refund customers. Manipulate their website and much more.
I have been ordering from ebay for a few years now. When you order from a legitimate company selling on ebay, things go smoothly. When the company is not legitimate things become a nightmare and dealing with ebay only makes it worse.
I recently discovered that ebay deletes user's emails made between sellers and customers... Emails that prove problematic issues with vendors, emails that bear proof of egregious business practices. They also remove photos of orders (or supposedly ordered). This manipulation of customer's accounts bears investigation.
An order I placed in march 2020 came to me damaged so I reached out to the seller. S/he promised to resend the item... However I was consistently told this for several months it was coming and give it another week. This seller also refused to provide a tracking number. After requesting a tracking numerous times, I realized I had fallen prey to a crook. He also offered to refund me, but never did. Had ebay not deleted my messages to him/her, I could have used those emails as proof of deceit and ebay has refused to refund me. I finally was refunded by my credit card company because ebay had never responded to the dispute I had filed with them.
It should be known that ebay's so-called money-back guarantee is also deceitful; ebay enables vendors to commit egregious business practices and this should be known!
Another problem is that customers don't know who they are dealing with when ordering. I called today and the agent was totally uncaring and unwilling to help me. When I requested being transferred to escalations, she told me that they would not take my call. However, I know if escalations' agents want to speak with customers they become available. Furthermore, when an agent begins to speak they inform callers that they are recording your call. I do so as well and inform them so, but the agent will tell you that it is not allowed. So, why is ebay allowed to record your call, but you can't record the same telephone call? Does this sound democratic or fascist to you?

Just as facebook was once enjoyable to use, ebay has now become so greedy that all it cares about is the bottom $.

eBay Suspending my account

I was on line with three different people for more than a half hour. They suspended my account for something from 2007. I didn't have an account in 2007. The account I have isn't more than two years old. I don't know what kind of homey shot they are trying to pull. But they need to get their act together. As far as I'm concerned they are trying to rip me off.

eBay customer service “chat” robots a.i. only

I was connected to your help for 6 hours today. No answers nothing resolved. Been on your site 25 years, this BS of automated robots to put you in a que is the worst that you could have done. I will be filing a complaint with BBB and pulling as many buyers and sellers away from your scam. I am totally disgusted with the crap you give sellers. 36 years top rated and you favor 0 feedback less than 3 weeks old to rule your world. I just want my funds released the thing got its item proof in tracking and you are holding funds from me. Damn, you are descriminsting against me. I pay my bill and have been dedicated, mo more dedication from me. I am searching for other and much better things. You cannot give me the story about a PLANDEMIC and make me drink your progressive politics. There is no excuse for you very poor communication with your people that support you. I will fulfill my contract on my store after that you can go to hell.

eBay Return process

Due to poor product description the wrong model was ordered. Return has been authorized but Ebay/ Paypal demand I use Paypal to cover return shipping. The product was paid for with American Express and I expect to complete the transaction the same way. To use Paypal requires sending a large amount of personal data, including scanned copies of my drivers license and Social Security Card over the internet to remove limitations on my Paypal account. Having experienced identity theft this is not an acceptable option. They approved American Express to pay for the product. My refund, if I ever get it is almost 200.00. They can deduct shipping from my refund or accept American Express to cover return shipping.

eBay ebay allows sellers to show pictures of an object but send something "similar."

Sellers post a photo of an object or group of objects for auction but the photo isn't what is being sold. Rather, something "similar" is sent. When I bid on an item, I expect to receive the item pictured. Ebay must FIX THIS NOW!

eBay Gives buyer choice of shipping when ups shipping already priced

I sold a doll and listed the price for ups ground shipping for $28. The customer at check out of purchase was given the choice of shipping even though the price for ups ground was $28 as shown in the listing. They chose priority mail which cost $50.60. The fee of $28 was collected by e-bay not $50.60. I had a choice to terminate the sale or request additional $22.60 for shipping from the customer. Customers blame the seller when more money is requested, think the seller is dishonest. To avoid this I paid the additional shipping fee myself.? Why should a seller provide the cost for shipping with a specified shipping service if the customer is then given the choice by e-bay for a far more expensive shipping expense? E-bay collects 10% fee for shipping as well as for the item's price. If the customer has to pay more for shipping the added fee is also taxed 10%. A dirty way of cheating the seller to get a few dollars more leaving both the seller and customer angry. So sick of the ineptitude!

I ordered product [protected] which they said was received by me in Columbus I assume Indiana thing is I have never lived In Columbus. I still live in Evansville, Indiana and have for over 40 years. The tracking number is 1ZRV96400390674216. I contacted seller about a week ago with no response. Please rectify this Problem. I do not know how the mailing address got changed for just this order?

eBay search function and help contact

I have found that eBay's search function is no longer working properly. The setting to prioritize searches by most recent has failed and I get a mix of listings of various ages. Secondly, when trying to contact eBay about having this repaired there is nothing in the contact section that allows us to send emails to those responsible for maintaining the site. Considering the rapid escalation of fees over the years this kind of decrease in service is just totally un justified.

eBay [protected] customer service numbers have been retired

Several of the phone numbers listed for eBay customer service do not work any longer. The above number has been retired. I received a call from eBay at 5:00am in the morning PST. When I called back, the number wasn't answering with a human, the recorded message directed me to go online. eBay online customer service failed to resolve the issue. They have been contacted via email which they have ignored and via twitter.
There customer service has dropped to a level of a gutter.

eBay eBay refunded buyer after they closed return request stating it was invalid due to buyer not returning the item.

I had an issue right from the beginning with a buyer (E-bay ID Jedichee-6). He won an auction for a hard to find 1983 GI Joe Cobra Commander Figure complete with file card for $200. At first he said would not pay unless I took $50 off, because he felt he paid too much. When I refused, he went ahead and paid for the item, so I sent it out.

Over a week after the customer received it, he posted negative feedback saying the item was not as described and he wanted to return it. In his emails he clearly stated it was shipping damage, which is not the same. He stated the figure was fine, but the file card was damaged. He posted pictures and it looked like someone stomped on the box. There is no way the figure could have been inside the box and been ok like the buyer claimed. Customer wanted $50 off to keep the item. I told him no, to send everything back and I would refund him.

Customer was supposed to return the $200 item for a refund and he did not. He kept the item. I posted pictures of what I sent and what I received back. The buyer only sent back the damaged file card which maybe worth $10. It is so damaged though, it is not possible to tell if it is even the same card I originally send. It could be one that was in worse condition to begin with. It looks like someone crumpled it up in their hand.

I contacted E-bay to let them know he did not return it like he was supposed to. E-Bay closed the return request and told me it was invalid since the buyer did not return everything and that the customer would not be refunded. They immediately removed the negative feedback as well. 24 hours later, I get an e-mail saying E-bay has refunded the customer $203.50 and my Paypal account has been charged. E-bay did not did not do their job and research this, they did not even look at the actual return. If they would have, they would have seen the customer did not return the item. I called their customer service who even told me this was wrong and a refund should not have been issued. So now the buyer has my $200 item and his $200 back, while I have nothing.

I want my $203.50 back from e-bay. They would not stand for it if I did not pay my seller's fees for this month, so I don't know why they feel it is ok to take my money without my permission.

The 1st 2 attached pics are my e-mails from E-bay, with the 1st one showing them saying the return is closed with no refund to the buyer, and the 2nd saying they refunded the buyer. The 3rd and 4th pics are of what I sent to the buyer, and the 5th pic is of what I received back.

If anymore information is needed, please let me know.

eBay Doesn't communicate with customer concerning issue

I contacted a seller, who made a promise to refund the purchase amount. He contacted eBay and eBay told him not to. He sent me the transcript of the conversation. Ebay never discussed the issue with me and it is impossible to speak with anyone. The advertised product showed quick release links, but the product didn't have quick release links. Traditional links are often too tight for small wrists, so the quick release (Apple's design) links work well. This band didn't work well because the links pinched each other making the band more of a bracelet, which doesn't contour to the wrist. The issue is making a unilateral decision without communication.

eBay Did not resolve my dispute with seller

On 6/27/2020, I won an auction on eBay for a vintage lens. I was the only bidder. I paid for it, but the seller never sent it although he provided a bogus DHL tracking number and somehow updated tracking information on the eBay site showing the various stages in delivery up to alleged delivery. Curiously, the date and time stamp on the "In Transit" and "Delivered" entries were exactly the same. DHL repeatedly informed me that the tracking number I was given was not in their system.
I had been offered a refund by eBay but made it clear I didn't want a refund, but the item I paid for.
On 7/16, the earliest date that I could request them to intervene, they simply refunded my money and closed the case. They acknowledged that they could find no legitimate tracking information.
eBay did nothing to assist me and nothing to penalize the seller.
