I got ripped off on a fake paypal confirmation
I am a first time seller, I have bought tons of stuff off eBay, but I sold a watch, Rolex, for $1625.00, plus shipping. I sent an invoice, the buyer replied back, after sending the Invoice, she asked if I would please ship to her cousin, it is for him, for an extra $100.00, I said sure, well when I got the FAKE Pay Pal, it confirmed my money was there, to...

I have sold on EBAY for 8+ years and have good success with very good feedback as I offer great customer service to my buyers. All of a sudden my power seller status top seller status has been cancelled and ebay is now holding my funds for 21 days because of their Dashboard. I have excellent in all but item not described this quarter and have no recourse to explain my side of what is wrong. One buyer purchase a printer and bought the wrong ink at a store which caused his printer not to work properly. He filed an item not as described, then the next day sent an email saying printer was good, store sold wrong ink. Ebay has no place to explain that I should not have had that rating. ALL FOR THE BUYER ===SELLER HAS NO RECOURSE ON 99+% of what happens.
I also have been selling on Ebay for 8+ years with power seller and top rated seller statis and all of a sudden those were removed because of dashboard status on items not as described. Several of these buyers did not know how to install new printers or purchased wrong ink and later emailed to say everything was working fine. That does not help me the seller as we have no place to show that there was not a problem to begin except end user error. How fair is that ! My opinion is Ebay is trying to get rid of all but the BIG sellers GOOD LUCK!
battery
i got my new battery after 5 week and 10 emails 20 phone calls
the battery does not hold the charge ... the cells are bad
the new battery is 3 weeks old and all that time on getting a new one DONT BUY FROM THIS CO. ONLY BUY FROM THE APPLE STORE ... MY APPLE BATTERY LASTED 4 YEARS OVER 5000 CYCLES THIS ONLY HAS 22 CYCLES
STAY AWAY FROM LAPTOPZ. They sell on ebay and advertise a 3 year warantee on laptop batteries. The batteries are junk and fail after about 3 months. They won't stand behind their warantee and will not respond to emails. but did get a new one after 5 week but is bad too

ebay bait and switch by seller online
Just before Christmas I was trying to order a new Wii game for my grandson. An Ebay advertiser; “funtastic”, offered the Wii plus 91 games and I ordered the product. I quickly received an email from funtastic saying “opps” the listing was wrong [which, if it was 'wrong' should have been and could have been easily pulled off the site] and they did not actually have the 91 games but did I want the Wii anyway. I said no and was finally able to cancel the transaction. Then I received a ‘warranty’ insurance for the Wii which I did not order and immediately deleted. I was subsequently charged nonetheless so ‘funtastic’ had to have been part of that since only they had access to the credit card number.
I have only now, January 16, 2012, been credited back for the fraudulent charge for insurance on a Wii I did not buy. This seller; funtastic, appears clearly to be a ‘bait and switch’ operation which also illegally accessed my credit card. In my opinion Ebay should not allow this seller; funtastic, on the Ebay site.
ebay does nothing to help sellers
Ebay has done nothing to help sellers in the cases of non-paying non-serious bidding. I have had more auctions run-up by non-serious bidders in the last month and at the most you have to wait 8 days to possibly get your auction fees back and you can not leave any negative feedback for non-paying bidders! I can't believe this! I use buyer restriction requirements, but I have some knucklehead in PA that started using his families accounts to run-up bids. If you have any bids from
Pablo Garcia 6943 Weiss Rd Apt 1 New Tripoli PA [protected] or Paul Henry 6943 Weiss Rd Apt 1 New Tripoli PA [protected] at the same address, it is a fraud! Please someone do something about this. Send mail to this address and get it stopped! Thank you.

lets forged autographs be sold year after year
I Have been a Buyer and Seller on ebay for 10 + years, and I sold Authentic Autographs, Inc Elvis presley, Jimi Hendrix ect ...ect... and have noticed that over the years there are alot of sellers selling Fake Autographs on Ebay and i have reported them and they have done nothing about it, even let some of these people become top rated sellers UNREAL !, I had a problem with ebay a few years ago and they closed my Acct becouse of going back and forth with another person on ebay, I was Closed by Mistake by ebay and It took me a week to two weeks to get it strightened out and when I did an ebay High ranking person by the name of Brett Wilson added a bank act with out my permision ? that would be a Violation of the of the law once More ...UNREAL, that a company that large would do That ! I have try to contact ebay about these problems and they do nothing but let these sellers sell fake autographs .maybe John j. Donahoe will take notice now, and do you think he cares ? I bet not as his Salary for 2010 was $920, 673.00 and total comp for that year in 2010 for him was $12, 382, 486.00 That 12 million Dollars per year, nice John to say you made alot money from people selling fake Autographs on Your site, Also please look this up "ebay sellers: are you a top rated selle or a Dishonest Dirtbag" a well written truth about ebay and its dealings from what i have read written by greg scott .jan, 8, 2010 under Drop Ship news, I left ebay in 2012 with 100% feedback, becouse of there way of dealing with 10 + year members, So if you have had problems with ebay contact them and let them know that there making money off of Forged Autograpghs and im sure alot of other fake things, im glad John j Donahoe can sleep at nite after making over 12 million dollars a year off of letting people Sell Fake Autographs, Thank you: ebay for letting 1000's of people get riped off ... We Deal in history
&Authentic& Chanel jewelry is ALL FAKE!!!
This Ebay Top-rated seller is really a counterfeit operation! I bought several pairs of "Authentic" Chanel earrings and a necklace from this seller at a ridiculously inflated price thinking they were authentic. The jewelry arrived in Chanel boxes with no description sticker and the authenticity seal on two pairs of earrings was either missing or had fallen off in the box. I did some research and found the same items on ioffer and the same boxes without the sticker. They are obviously selling fakes and getting away with it.
I contacted them about the problem and they sent me several threatening responses. After weeks of back and forth, they finally agreed to refund my money if I left them positive feedback and swore to not "spread lies" about the items being fake. I reluctantly did this b/c I wanted my money back. This was before Ebay had seller protection. They gave me a partial refund stating that I sent back broken merchandise. WHAT A SCAM! Buyers beware! These items are not authentic. I worked in a Chanel boutique for years and can spot a fake (even a good fake, in this case) from a mile away!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This is Frenchmaison. We do not know who this "DesignerDiva" who hid behind a fake ID to spread malicious, false, and outrageous claims and lies about us. We did a search and couldn't find this person's ID in our transaction history. We ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE that all CHANEL items we offer are 100% AUTHENTIC CHANEL which were purchased at CHANEL boutiques. We have been eBay Top Seller for over 8 years selling ONLY AUTHENTIC designer items including CHANEL and Louis Vuitton. We've sold at least 50 AUTHENTIC Louis Vuitton items and many more AUTHENTIC CHANEL items over this period and everyone has been happy. And they've been all POSITIVE FEEDBACKS (the AUTHENTIC CHANEL listings are "private" listings to protect the privacies of our customers and the listing info does not show when fb is left but one can see that we have had hundreds of them throughout the years)
We'll explore all legal options to sue this person for libel, slander, defamation, intentional interference with a prospective economic advantage, etc. And we'd be happy to go to court to prove our innocence and to protect our reputation.
ebay protection plan
I purchased a handbag off of ebay that was listed as used in good condition with normal wear. The bag arrived and looked fine so I posted positive feedback. But once I started using the bag I discovered that the lining of the bag was rotting and leaving a sticky gooey mess on anything put in the bag. I contacted the seller to find out how to return the bag, since it was outside his normal return policy period. No reply. So I filed a complaint with the resolution center. They found in favor of the seller. Why? 1) I left positive feedback for the seller; 2) My complaint was filed 30 days after the sale of the bag; 3) In my feedback I used specific language that the center said would not allow me to appeal. Lessons here? 1) Don't leave feedback for at least 30 days or long after you have used the item. 2) Start using the item right away, even if you don't need to. Contact the seller if there is the slightest thing wrong. In my case I should have told the seller that the bag smelled like someone had drenched the bag in perfume. Instead, I thought that I could solve the problem by airing it out or deodorizing it. Delaying use of the bag put me outside of the time frame that ebay considers normal to file a complaint. Trying to resolve the problem with the seller in this case delayed my filing. I have always had success trying to work things out with sellers in the past. This seller turned out to be trouble. 3) Don't ever, ever comment on the condition of something, even if you think that it is good. Turn the guideline, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" into "If you have to say something nice, find something else to say, but say nothing, absolutely nothing about the condition of the item." So what's my next step now that the resolution center found in favor of the seller and my appeal was denied? Well, contact the senior executives at ebay, of course. They need to revise the written guidelines in resolution center at the very least. And, I am pursuing other methods to get my money back.
ebay india guarantee scam
Wanted to share my horrific experience with ebay india, to caution other online customers.
1) Purchased Blackbery device from Seller=mobmantra1 - PaisaPay ID [protected] on 23Feb2012
2) Exchanged emails with seller, who confirmed on email tht the device is genuine and new in original blackberry packing
3) Received product after a week, th eproduct was not what the seller had promised to ship.
4) Under the ebay.in guarantee, I raised claim # 81605 on 09Mar2012.
5) No action from ebay.in for 2 weeks. I then called up customer support - they said they will escalate this to their claim department.
6) The seller called in the meantime and agreed that I should send the product back to him and he would instruct ebay.in to refund my money.
7) Deafening silence from ebay.in. Abruptly the status of the Claim is changed to Closed stating that the buyer has
asked to close the claim - blatantly false. On calling ebay customer support I learn that the status change has been
done by Nilesh Tambe.I call ebay cutomer support on 24March and I also drop ebay india an email - no response
8) I call up ebay customer support again on 04Apr2012, they patch me up to Ravindra Pandey. This gentleman looks at the system and keeps repeating that the buyer has asked to close the claim. I refute this. Then Ravindra says possibly someone else answered my mobile when Nilesh Tambe called and gave consent - this is rubbish, I always answer my own mobile calls.I tell him that I am not satisfied with the redressal and want to escalate to the head of ebay India - he refuses to give me the details and instead asks me to drop another email to which ebay india would respond to .He also says that they will retrieve the call details that Nilesh Tambe purportedly made to me and verfify.
9) There has been no response to my emails.
This is a blatant scam from ebay india - they make rosy claims on their website about safeguarding buyers under the guarantee. They just rip off people. There is zilch accountability. They just take customers for granted and take people for a ride. I hope the govt agencies do something to penalise ebay india to stop such blatant misuse of the ecommerce platform
in India. It is ironic that ebay india claims to be an evangelist of ecommerce in India - they actually practice just the opposite - this does not bode well for the Indian ecommerce space. I hope established palyers like Amazon commence direct busness in India soon and wipe out the fradulent companies. I make online purchases on Flipkart, letsbuy and have had no issues with them.

item was not as described in the ad
i bought a anime figure (like a action figure only not movable) from a store called: modelkitsonline i thought it was already together
and when i found out it wasn't i still bought it thinking what the hell ill give it a try. the figure came fast and in a brown packing box no instruction on how to put it together or even what you would need to do so. it did come with a couple of pics of how the figure would look when you had it completed. but the figure was missing some of its parts so i contacted modelkitsonline and told him about the missing parts and he ask for proof so i sent the pics that came with the figure and circled the parts that where missing/broke. and the biggest part that was missing was the figures stand witch is a big part of why i bought the figure in the first place even though the pics clearly shows the figure with the stand (and no where in his ad dose it say that the figure dose not come with a stand) he tells me otherwise! oh and the ad says the figure is 1/8 but no the figure is very small i have 1/8 figures and this figure is not 1/8! he also says in the ad that he will give a full refund if unsatisfied. this ### gives me the run around for months! ... so he took my money about 50 bucks and i got a piece of ### figure that will never be put together. it will rot in its box because i don't have half the parts to it! DONT BUY FROM THIS ### UNLESS YOU WANT JUNK... to tell the truth i hope his store gets shutdown!...

Same Experience with Morphine,
Bought Stuff from him on Ebay before and gotten Junk instead of what he described the item to be. Lousy Seller.
This guy morphine is a scam artist himself. look at all of his complaints, he is some ridiculous loner that sits on his couch and does nothing better then looks outside and complaints that he wanted rain today and its sunny out. he sells stuff on ebay and sends out broken/damaged items and when customers complain about it, he pretty much tells them to get lost. he goes to outside and things the whole world and everyone in it is just for his pleasures. if something isnt going how he imagined it, he complaints. you are one of those guys that should sit home and never go outside, what if it rains when you are out and gets you wet. then your poor neighbor is probably going to hear you complain that it was his fault. food doesnt taste right to him, he complains. get your $h1t together an enjoy life rather then complain about everything. what a looser, so many people that he complains about it dont even know what he is talking about. this guy is some old dooshbag that messes everything up and complains about wrong people and businesses. hopefully someday somone will prosecute your [censor] for all the lies here.
Complaints board should really look into this [censor] and get him kicked out for posting so much lies here.
this is the worst site in the history of the internet
This is the worst site in the history of the internet. I have been dealing with fraud for more than 2 weeks on an item I have been trying to sell. Ebay is now trying to not only charge me for selling an item I never sold twice because they removed a member that purchased my item.
While I appreciate the fact that these individuals were frauds, I do not appreciate the fact that ebay is still charging me for the item being sold. On top of this ebay has removed my item TWICE because of some unknown complaint. I have been given the run around multiple times with people who can’t speak English, wont transfer me to a manager, and will not listen to me when I tell them that my account is under attack from some unknown source. I have done everything that has been asked of me, I took pictures of my item, listed the serial number even took another test to list items. I was ASSURED this would solve all my problems.
Now, I get hung up on when I call because a manager will not take my call, even though I was told to call if this ever happened again! Additionally, if Ebay tries to charge me for an item i never sold I will sue your company for fraud. This has been one of the most miserable experiences in my life, and I plan on telling anyone who will listen to never trust this company! No matter how much they claim to want to help, ebay is just dragging individuals like me through the dirt. I mean what do I pay my fees for if all you’re going to do is remove my item even after it has been determined to be perfectly legitimate. Then when I call, I get put on hold by your offices until the office closes! That is so not customer friendly, or even considerate.
As soon as I ship my last item I am done with you! Rest assured, I will also be calling the states Attorney General and issuing a formal complaint against your company for fraud, false advertising, and should I be charged for items I did not sell, theft, and extortion. You have my number, make it right.
can't leave buyers negative feedback
I know this rule of eBay's has been around for several years, but it continues to be a tremendous annoyance. eBay is so eager to bend over backwards to please the buyers that they will place the sellers - the ones who eBay charges for use of the site - at the absolute mercy of the customers. I remember a time when a seller could leave a buyer negative feedback because they made the transaction difficult, didn't pay, lied, and so forth. Now, though, you can't say that even if the buyer has been a pain in the neck. Well, you *can* but you can still only either leave positive feedback and hope someone reads the negative comment or leave no feedback at all. Either way, all buyers come out with 100% positive feedback at a glance while sellers can easily get dinged.
Some sellers deserve the bad rating, I will admit, but a buyer can easily give a seller a bad review just because they felt like doing so. It's incredibly unbalanced and you have to worry it the person you sell to is going to nick your perfect feedback record because the corner of the box their order arrived in was slightly bent.
eBay needs to change this because it's way too easy for jerk customers to ruin a seller's reputation. It's not like eBay has much competition, if any at all. When most people think of online auction sites, a vast majority think eBay. Whose business would they lose if they let sellers be honest about bad customers? People who complain and scream until they get a refund on a perfectly good item? I know sellers aren't always totally innocent and they can be scammers just as much as the buyers, but you can't scrutinize one party and not the other. It's simply unfair. I sell on eBay now and then and I constantly have to worry that someone I sell to will find some problem with their item and give me bad feedback...meanwhile I can't say anything bad about them at all.

No refund for lemon computer
During one month AllPCZone built computer had two catastrophic crashes. After the first crash this company requested me to ship the hard drive for exchange. I had to pay on my own for shipping. After i received replacement hard drive and set up all work environment (took few days), AllPCZone built computer crashed again - so badly that i lost again days of work. I emailed to support / customer service asking full refund for this computer including shipping costs as i cannot trust anymore computers built by AllPCZone and already lost days of work. They refused to refund saying: "you remain civil and professional"; "Electronics are subject to failure at any time for any reason. This is unfortunately the nature of electronics."; "You are not qualified receive a refund of any kind at this time".
This computer was sold as the top-of-the-line by computer part but the quality of work that was done by AllPCZone was only good enough to get through little over 30 days - their grace period of no question asked return policy: two catastrophic failures during one month after two months of ownership. For programming computer multiple times exchange is unacceptable - it takes days to recover. We cannot afford to "test" AllPCZone's work.
my experience with allpczone has been great!my computer works just fine.and their customer service was excellent, had a question and was answered almost immediately.shipping time was excellent.i would recommend doing business with this merchant
Only complaint that I can find on the web. Check ebay and reseller ratings, this company is a 9 out of 10 at least. Will probably buy from them.
The fact that you made an account specifically bash a single company, and you being their only complaint "on this site", makes you look like an imbecile. Also since every complaint I've read towards this company has gotten a speedy, and informative reply. This lends credit to their intelligence and dutifulness towards their customers. I'd suggest you take them up on their offer.
Customer purchased this unit without Operating System from us. The first failure that he had was his OS crashed, he thought it was the hard drive, we repalced the hard drive but later on found when we recieved the defective hard drive back it turned out that the OS was partitioned the wrong way causing registry errors, all that had to be done was the OS to be re-installed and partitioned correctly which is this case it was not. Of course that was our fault, even though we only sold the hardware not the software. We have absolutely no clue what the 2nd failure is since customer is refusing to talk to us, we will gladly help if customer so wishes.

unfair unethical business practice
I am a self-employed small businessman, who is a first generation LEGAL immigrant from China. I have been buying and selling items on eBay since Apr. 2004 with 306 positive feeedbacks(100%). Today is Thanksgiving Day 2011. I am grateful for what I have achieved in USA, which is the greatest country on earth! I will expose one of the biggest "Scamster"...
Read full review of eBay and 2 commentsEBAY SCAM USING SHILL BIDS
John J Hallinan uses multiple accounts to make shill bids on auctions he lists on BIGJJSTUDD. He has been performing this scam for at least 2 years now. Recently he made his feedback list private so that buyers/bidders have no idea whatsoever that these accounts have close to 100% bidding history with this account.
He will also use this accounts to bid and purchase auctions from his competitors and leave negative feedback.
He will also use these accounts to place bids on competors auctions who have listed items similar to his in order to drive the price up so that the bidders will purchase from him instead. The account he uses to do this will then not pay for the auction and will disappear.
FOOFIGHTS2 is a verified account used by the same user as BIGJJSTUDD.
I do not know why anyone buys from this meat-head. He is one of the most vile and disrespectful, entitled punks on EBAY.
When I asked him if he was the one creating fake accounts and bidding my auctions up sky high, and not paying, he basically attacked me verbally and promised to destroy me.
If you are any type of re-seller, he will block you form his auctions so it is tougher to catch on to his scams, then he will bid on your stuff over and over again.
He is not even a collector and loves in a house his dad bought for him. DO NOT BUY OR SELL TO THIS TRASH!
And the ugly reality for consumers dealing with the clunky, unscrupulous eBay/PayPal complex ...
"Shill Bidding Fraud on eBay: Case Study #5" ... http://bit.ly/11F2eas
I do not know where to start? Until I found out about this character, I used to be able to sell to Zero feedback sellers. That is, until Mr. Hallinan decided to make shill bidding using bogus accounts a weapon against other sellers.
I am now unable to provide service to any new users and potential customers due to "BigJJStudd's" underhanded tactics.
The fact that he uses these methods on auctions other than his own, makes it more than likely that he utilizes these same methods on his own auctions as well. I cannot with absolute certainty proclaim that this is a fact, as all of his feedback data regarding his "customers" is now PRIVATE - which is allowed by EBAY. How convenient.
I did discover another tool that allows me to see that BIGJJSTUDD re-lists his auctions over and over again, which most likely is the result of him using shill bids to increase the end result of the auction price, the site www.worthpoint.com. One can easily see that the EXACT same figures are re-listed over time using different cover photos from his "private" Photobucket album.
If it looks like a skunk, smells like a skunk, acts like a skunk, and other people say it is a skunk, then, most likely it is a skunk.
This guy has no morals. After seeing that he buys reproduction parts from a guy on www.yojoe.com, I did some digging and I came to find out that he definitely buys repro parts from Broken Arrow Toys.
I found this information on the Forums when I saw the "now shipping" section where the site owner places delivery confirmation numbers for what is shipping. I happened to see Hallinan and a Delivery Confirmation. I entered the Delivery Confirmation number into United States Postal Service Tracking and it showed that it was delivered to Havertown, PA.
He fails to mention any of the repro /FAKE parts that he purchased from Broken Arrow Toys and includes them with his EBAY auctions and advertises them as ORIGINAL - or just says nothing about the rare accessory. Sorry buddy, fraud by omission is still fraud.
Who knows what else he has had made by these Reproduction Casters? How many people have lost hundreds of dollars being sold cheap plastic knock offs?
Well, it just keeps getting worse. He was recently outed on several fan sites for GI JOE for selling reproduction accessory parts as the originals. He is able to obtain these through the multiple ID's he maintains on EBAY, then uses his main account to sell them. If he is caught, he pleads ignorance. For the most part, he does not even respond to accusations anymore.
Some of these reproduction pieces increase the value of his auctions tenfold. This is serious fraud. He also uses the ID NIGHTFORCEOUTBACK14.
would not be surprised in the least.

I had started an online petition to make today, 11-11-11 "Close Your eBay Account Day." Today, I signed into my eBay account and clicked "Close My Account." The window that opened said, "We can't close your account at this time because: You currently have a credit balance."
Confused, I went to my account and was shocked to discover there was indeed a $0.01 credit (see image). My previous invoice was $0.95 which I paid. And this was the ONLY transaction I've had (note the date above, June through November).
I immediately called their customer service department. The man on the phone had NO IDEA where this penny credit came from. After putting me on hold to find out what's going on, he said my $0.95 payment had not yet cleared, but once it does (in two to three days), that mysterious one cent should "go away."
It is my firm belief that eBay saw my petition, KNEW I was going to close my account today, and decided to have a little fun of their own by deliberately planting this $0.01 credit into my account to make it impossible for me to close it.
ebay / alltech wholesale iphone scam
Recently, eBay sent an email soliciting to purchase used Apple iPhones. I had a 3GS 32GB that was in absolutely perfect condition and was considering upgrading to a 4S. Clicked their link in the email and was taken to a page where I answered some questions about my phone's condition and printed the FedEx shipping label to send the phone to eBay for a purchase price of $155.71.
Today, I received a response indicating that my phone was not in the condition I described and the reason specified was "Item shows multiple signs of heavy wear: Deep scratches, scuffs, pitting, or other cosmetic disfigurement. However none of said wear in any way inhibits normal function of the item. The housing of the unit has sustained significant visible wear or cracking."
The phone was in a case with a screen protector installed from the minute I purchased it. There was nothing wrong with the unit and certainly nothing as described in the previous quote. I sent the phone back in the original box, with all documentation, SIM card removal tool, charger cable, and even put the factory screen protector back on.
They did, however, make a counter offer of $75.17. INSULTING!
I called the 800 number and spoke with a rep from AllTech Wholesale who placed me on hold and then stated that she could raise their counter offer to $114. I promptly told her to send my phone back and that it had better be in the same condition it was when I shipped to them.
What a TOTAL scam! I never expected this type of behavior from eBay.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Alltechwholesale is a complete sham. Don’t know how they got so many “good” reviews on eBay. Been working in the industry for awhile, and unfortunately it can be fairly simple to trick people into thinking you’re legit. Bought a phone from them, emailed them the NEXT day to tell them it was having problems but need to exchange it as I couldn’t go without a phone again just because they sent me a half working one. Unwilling to work with me, so I figured I’d deal with it and just have a phone half the time. Now JUST over a month out and it’s no longer working at all. Because I’m out of their “warranty” period (which isn’t actually a warranty), they won’t do ANYTHING. Literally, worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. They won’t have TRS on eBay for long if this is how they treat their customers. Complete rip off.
DONT EVERY BUY FROM THAT COMPANY, I HAVE VERY BAD EXPRIENCE WITH THEM, RECEIVED BAD ESN PHONE ( IN LOST STOLEN LIST), OR PHONE THAT DOES NOT WORK
useless customer support
I recently attempted to list my Ford Taurus on cars.ebay.ca. Three calls to eBay support - taking up nearly two hours of my (and their) time - later and I'm still no closer to success.
Here's the problem. When I clicked on "sell" at cars.ebay.ca I was taken to what appeared to be a general start-listing page (I was told to "Enter a UPC, ISBN, or keywords that describe your item." - rather a strange question for someone selling a car). I was able to choose automobiles/ford/taurus and then fill out the "Create your listing" page, but when I clicked on "continue" at the bottom, the same page simply reloaded - but this time with a warning flag at the top and the message:
"We might have a product in our catalogue that matches the one you're selling. If you go back to find your product in our catalogue, we'll include product details in your listing. Using the catalogue helps buyers find your listing faster."
Nothing I did allowed me past that error to complete the listing.
The first call to support eventually saw me transferred one level higher, but that tech only told me to start a new listing and whatever had caused the problem would be overwritten. It wasn't. I was able to overwrite the Taurus listing by listing a DVD, but when I again tried to list my Taurus from cars.ebay.ca, I encountered the same problems.
The support person on the next call finally (after what seemed like 45 minutes or so of conversation and hold sessions) told me that he couldn't help me but would transfer me (I believe) to eBay Motors support. He transferred me. The phone rang once. I was disconnected.
The third call started off like the second (except that I'm getting better at moving things along and it only took a half an hour). This person, too, said that she would transfer me to eBay Motors support. However, the person who picked up the phone was on the same level as the first one (in fact, I believe she initially thought that she was the first person with whom I was speaking). Eventually, she too transferred me. The phone again rang once. I was again disconnected. This time, however, I had managed to salvage a service request reference number...although fat lot of good it would end up doing me!
In any case, my Taurus is still leaking oil on my driveway and I still can't properly access the listing features of cars.ebay.ca. I have no interest in spending more time with your telephone customer service dept.
So why on earth would eBay not allow me to send them a simple email detailing the problems so they could actually do something about it?
I already have listed on a half a dozen or so sites. But eBay seems to have a different kind of customer...
Thanks,
