I, too, have a major complaint with Pogo.com or EA Games. They did not inform me of any upcoming renewal charges and I did not find out about it until I saw the charges on my credit card bill. It was not on there once, but twice! They charged then refunded and then charged again. My husband was furious and it is ridiculous that I cannot just cancel and get a refund. This is absolutely ludicrous and obsurd! I should be allowed to choose if I want to continue membership and if not, I should get a refund of time not used. I will not be renewing again. Pogo sucks!

My husband subscription came due without realizing it was due, since he had quit playing the games. He cancelled as soon as he seen it seen the checking account. We have tried to get our money back, but can not get ahold of anyone. I have seen the other complaints about POGO...it doesn't sound like a reputable business. We want our money back.
First of all it is hell trying to get a hold of someone from Pogo. I want pogo to refund my $39.99 and After several emails I finally got a phone number to call [protected] so I called the number only to find that the gentleman on the phone could not help me. My subscription was due January 26th and I wanted the subscription cancelled. The gentleman said pogo is going through rough times and he tried to refund me but since it was past 24 hours he could not. I explained to him that I have been trying for over 5 days and I have the emails to prove it. He could not help me. I am not giving up!

i have written before about winning the jackpot and pogo sending me an email saying that i had cheated and i wouldnt be getting the money, i wrote back saying that i never cheated, so they wrote another email saying that maybe i didnt cheat, that i got tokens from a different website and that since i didnt earn them, i still dont get the money...they gave 2 different excuses as to why they wont pay out...i have written to the bbb and the ftc and complained with them...now i finally get another email from pogo today, after waiting 3 weeks from the last one saying that they have closed out my problem and are no longer investigating and if i had any more questions to feel free to ask! I would just like to thank EA Games on screwing me over on yet another game. Thank You EA for giving me hope once again and disappointing me yet again after you have taken my money. All the promises you have made about this game you have not delivered, but then again whats new, you have never been out to please the customer and give us what we want, you only want our money, and you have no problem selling us a mediocre product to get it!

*The cars drive over each other, usually you slow down when there is a turn in the road, and you don't drive 100+ in a town!
*90% of all the content is imported from The Sims 2
*Sims 2 had better animations, if you can't design a decent engine (which you clearly can't) then use a trusted one e.g: HAVOC!
*No smooth continuous animations e.g: your sims just appear in the car they don't get in.
*Objects are not logically thought out e.g: the sprinkler should require a water source and the source should be opened up before the sprinkler is activated, but instead the sprinkler just starts when clicked on (even though my sim is reading a book)!
*I can't follow my sims into any community lots when they are busy with whichever activity e.g: going to a restaurant (Come On EA I could do this in Sims 1!).
*My sims 2 with all my mods, objects, animations and tweaks is 10 times better than sims 3.
*And there are still hundreds of other screw ups, but i'm just fed up!

Thus far, I've purchased World Adventures for Sims 3, Ambitions, Sims Outdoor Stuff, and Nightlife, ...and I must say that I have NEVER in my life played a game with as many glitches and game corruption as the Sim's 3- and Expantions. I don't ever remember running into any glitches with Sim's 2. I think with Sim's 3 I've battled approximately 200 or more glitches and STILL counting...I lost track! Maybe it hasn't been anymore than 100, but it sure seem's like a countless ENDLESS number! I appreciate the lastest Sim's 3 update which corrected the worst glitch I'd suffered thus far. EA fixed the glitch where my sim's would become frozen to objects, thus suffering a cruel fate of being aware they were motionless and unable to eat, sleep, ect...I sure was pleased when EA games finally corrected the resetsim feature as well...BUT...Unfortunately the current problem I'm having AFTER A YEAR OR MORE OF NEW GLITCHES...has me giving up on EVER PLAYING ANYTHING CONNECTED TO SIMS 3 EVER AGAIN! The lastest madness, well see when I make a trip to France my Sim's gets stuck in limbo land and never returns home. Once, I managed to return my sim's earlier home from France but only to find that they cannot interact with one another. When I tried Egypt it's even worst because when my sim's call on their cell phone to return home the game suddenly locks. I've tried all the suggestions and thus far I've managed to get past tons of glitches but enough is enough. I've had enough...World Adventure's was my favorite and if my Sim's can no longer make Trips without risking the inablility to interact with one another then it's not worth it to play the game period. I wish I could get back ALL the money I've spent thus far but I should have known better, I suppose. There is nothing wrong with my computer settings, and my computer is 100 percent compatable with Sim's 3 Expantion packs. For the love of Simolians, this game has driven me out of my mind! I HATE THE SIMS 3 AND EXPANTION PACKS! To anyone thinking of purchasing Expantions for Sim's 3 BEWARE, IT'S NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE!
I agree with all you guys. I f***ing hate this piece of ###. i was so excited when i bought this game, since i loved playing the sims 2. i thought it would be worth buying the sims 3 for £40. I started playing it and the speed was as slow as f*** even though my pc is only two years old, apparently i had to buy this hi-tech video card which i didn't think was right to pay for because i've spent enough on the game! I downloaded a speed patch for the game which made it a little faster but only to the pace of a snail. Oh yeah, by the way, i actually prefer the sims 2 graphics than this. And when it finally loads up on create a sim there are LESS hairstyles than the default sims 2 ones and most of them are stupid. Why the hell do they still look obese when you can't make the sims any skinnier? The skin texture is too flat so they look like wax candles. In fact, create a sim is probably the only part i like in the game because it loads the fastest. OH GOD THIS IS THE WORST PART when i started playing it with my new sims, the game stopped every movement for 1 minute (I'm not kidding) and i just wasn't even worth playing! AND WHY THE F*** CAN'T I BUILD MY OWN NEIGHBORHOOD like in the sims 2? Instead we have to buy them? We also can only just seem to play one family, ridiculous. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else but when i applied my sim for a job, the game would freeze 100% all the F****** TIME!

I just got the sims 3 for wii and it is an avalanche of fail! Here is the letter I wrote to EA - who brushed me off.
I really only have one question. When is EA going to recall this game on the Wii platform and fix it? Because the bugs and glitches throughout the game make it virtually unplayable. Not only does it freeze my Wii, but I've been keeping note of all of the in-game bugs and glitches since I started (trying to) play it a little over a week ago, and the list is already over 100 distinct items long.
I wont list all of the glitches I have encountered, but here is a sampling of common bugs:
-Sims blink in and out of existence and have to be deleted in order to continue.
-Guests at my sims' house arrive but are INVISIBLE, or become invisible and impossible to interact with unless the invisible sim
chooses to start a conversation himself.
- Sims get stuck in "Fast Forward" Mode.
-Sims get trapped sitting on the couch and wont get up. They wind up starving to death.
-Sims load without certain facial features such as EYES!
-Objects randomly become "unclickable", also unsellable, unmovable, such as Fridge, counters, plates of food, stove, anything on the dining room table. The unusable objects become impossible to use or to get rid of, and fill the house with useless junk, etc.
-Sims who should be able to cook meals are unable to at random intervals, being offered only the option for "grab quick meal" - normally solved by buying a new fridge.
-Houses and shops do not load and sims just walk through the walls of the building, unable to interact with it in any way.
-Shops and restaurants "Freeze" and become permanently unusable, unclickable (not able to work around this issue, and especially galling when a sim has a job there). this has occurred with both the book store and the bistro as well as the grocery store.
-When I try to SAVE my game, often it freezes and crashes instead.
-Sims momentarily freeze and stop doing anything in the middle of different tasks, even though the clock keeps moving, so simple tasks can take up to 4 hours, such as EATING?
-Sims doing on-the-job tasks supposedly finish, but are unable to move on to the next task and become stuck like that until the end of the work day.
-Sims are sometimes not awarded Lifetime Wish happiness points even after achieving their goal.
There are many more I have not listed.
Before writing back, please consider the following:
1) It's not my disc. The disc is pristine. Other gamers I've been in contact with have ALSO experienced the same glitches in-game.
2) It's not my Wii. My memory is cleared out, my Wii is updated and in perfect working order.
3) Please do not suggest, as I have heard EA has with other gamers experiencing the plethora of glitches with the sims 3, that it is the disc or my Wii, because I can guarantee you those are not the problem.
Apparently EA managed to get the Sims 3 to work on all of the other platforms they converted it for except for the Wii. These crippling in-game glitches and bugs are on a totally unacceptable level for any game on the market. I have never bought, nor heard of, a game being released on any console with so many game-ending and frustrating glitches and bugs. I would really like to know why EA decided to release a game that barely functions at all, let alone on the level to which I would assume make it salable.
I pre-ordered this game months ago and I am not just disappointed, I am simply shocked that the game was released in such a sorry condition. I hope EA intends to recall, refund, compensate, or fix this game for all of the fans who bought it. I would have waited another year for even a mediocre version of the game... as long as it actually worked on an acceptable level. I'm sure EA will be receiving many emails like this in the months to come, especially after thousands of people unwrap them on Christmas day and experience the malfunctions for themselves.
I would like to know what plans, if any, EA has to make this situation right for its customers and life-long fans. If someone could get back to me with that information, I would appreciate it.

When I click on the sims 3 adventures or any sims 3 it says "Your the sims 3 base game is incompatible with the current sims 3 extension pack. Please update your game via the game launcher" but it won't let you click on anything so I cannot update it. This means I cannot play on sims 3 and I am very annoyed. How can I stop this problem?
I'm not in total agreement, as you will see, but for the most part, i do think that the OP is correct:
okay, first off. I like the sims 3, for the most part. Obviously there are bugs which need fixing, but like the sims and the sims 2 these get fixed as the game progresses and more add ons and patches are produced. Plus, you can always count on some lovely mod online to fix all the screw-ups quickly for you, and usually for free.
My complaint, because EA games doesn't seem to have an official complaint contact (Some thing tells me they'd get so many it would probably crash their server) is more about aspects of the game play then anything else.
1) this whole 'moving to a new town' BS? It's just that, BS. Please get red of it. I like story progression to be on, it allows families to move, romances and relationships, children and promotions... it's a good thing. BUT. Moving out my second favorite sims to play, with no warning and no permition it ###ing stupid!
Move sims out which have never been played, IF you need to move any out at all. Do not decide, after the game has been running for nearly five hours (Home sick, nothing better to do) without saving, (Which yeah, is my fault, but i shouldn't have to think 'i should save incase the game decides to move my sims meaning that if i do go ahead and save the freaken awesome progress i've made i'll lose them forever!') To go ahead and move them out! Especially if they are the fiance to a member of the family i'm playing now!
2) Main town Rabbit holes. They are freaken dumb. Seriously, i get rabbit holes for work and maybe even the spa, but for the book store and grocery store? Come on, they've been able to do that sense the first game, and you've proven you can do that in WA, hoping the next Add on will ammend this problem, as it is rumored to do.
3) Many of the same complaints that other people have, the cars drive through each other, not that many decent animations. Oh, on the subject of animations, what is with all the failing? The falling on their ### when they open the draws, or choking on food all the time? It's cute and makes sense if they are clumsy, but not for normal sims!
totally! The carpool gets me so angry cuz even if u make ur car the prefered vehicle the carpool always just sits around and waits and honks... but i love to honk MY car horn! JK! Also, one of my sims was stuck, ( its hard to explain) u no how when they have a birfday, u cant cancel it? well, my sim decidied that his birfday would never end! How nice!?! So he stood there, waiting, as i made him a list of things to do. He just stood there for atleast 7 sim days. not passing out ( he was exausted, i have no idea why he didn't), he was starving, peed himself, was smelly, and lonley. omg the sims i always thought was great but then i got this $40.00 game at a target store! waste of money and time. AND! i'll just be playing, having fun, forgetting to save every 5 minutes or else it will quit the whole thing and some how magicly turn off my whole... literly my WHOLE fricking computer! wow so i spent all this time making this beautiful house and making my sims perfect basically playing god and controlling them and making them the way i wanted them to be and then it says error when im trying to save it? so i stopped playing for a while then i decided i wanted to play again and this is not to mention just a few hours later and my game wasnt even there. yippee ### sims.
Sims 3 was a major disappointment. I spent $60.00 on this game, just to play for ten minutes before it crashes anytime too much interaction is going on. I feel like EA is selling themselves out... They need to stop focusing so much on The Sims 3 for IPhone when they haven't even got it figured for a damn computer. There's a lot of options that they don't have, but I'm sure those will increase with expansion packs. What I'm mostly pissed about is the performance of the game. Why the hell would you release a game that isn't finished? I feel screwed over, pissed off, and genuinely upset that I waited so long for the perfect sims game, and this is what i got.

The fee for 1 year is $39.99. You can get $5 off now, last year it cost less. If you do not want it, they will refund it. I don't see the reason for the complaint though. They raised the price, most companies as well as drug dealers give discounts to get you hooked. Then they raise the price.

I am running very low on money these days and barely have enough in the bank to pay the bills that come out of it. As I get notices in the mail that I am now OVERDRAFT I check my account online to see why. Turns out there is a charge every month of $13.90 out of my account and I have NO clue why. i was playing fifa 2010 with two friends .on the ps3 we were in a club game, with three other players 3 on 3 . we always use the headsets . so was the other side .but my mate nee had his little girl in the back ground. this is where the problem started. the three lads on the other side started using very bad language towards his little girl .we did not provoke them to start this . they were using words like shut that slut up . put that ### to bed . call her a slapper this went on through the hole game and got worse and worse . my mates girl is six years old so this really upset my mate i think these lads should be band from playing . these are the name IDs BD_AWESOME DT1717 thecoldone666

game sight freezes my computer
I have been trying to contact customer support for the websight club pogo. I have been having problems with the yahtzee game freezing up my computer. I can play alot of the other games, but this specific game will freeze my computer up where I cannot move my mouse, and I have to manually shut my tower off in order to get out of the freeze-up. I want to know if anyone else is having this problem with the games, and is there a virus in this game sight that noone knows about? Who do I contact to get this resolved? The club pogo does not have any customer service link viewable/or do they, and I just missed it somewhere?

i am having the same problem with club pogo games. games freeze lose movement of mouse, have to pull plug to shut it down and restart. now i wonder if that is also causing my first start up in the morning after computer is shut down for 6-8 hours. I had MSIE no 8 in my computer, seems its not compatable with club pogo games as of yet. nor is the java update 6 update 14. i am afraid to re install IE 8 and the updated Java too. does anyone know why this is happening?

I was banned, (lost account from someone reporting me for a minor error and none of thier beeswax anyway) I was in Congress Roulette talking about my guitar, a fender startocastor and it was made the year when Fender sold to thier co. to the japanese (i abbr. japanese and wrote jap) I had no idea this was a violation to any terms and it wasn;t negitive anyway. I lost my account and badges, plus over 5 million in tokens from playing for about 3 yrs. I find this quite unfair to me due to someone else in a room that has nothing better to do but report everything possible to disrupt someone else's conversation.
2. I have Vista now and it's not user frendly with pogo games. If I talk to AOL, they say talk to pogo. If I talk to pogo, they say talk to aol. Sounds like a endless circle. I can load some games and play them but... I lose the game during breaks or it' go to a page that says clear browser & temp files and or cookies. I clear everything out resart browser & at the next break I have the same problem.
How can this be fixed?

as far as being booted for something dumb, the only thing u could do is talk to EA about it but i doubt anything will be done for that, but you never know.. and i use VISTA and have no issues at all with games loading or playing them, i would say that do not use IE 8 to play the games, and if u use AOL and their browser, then i would use a different one like firefox or google chrome, (the two i use). I can't run anything from pogo in IE, they only want to work in Google and Firefox.

I was charged 39.99 on 4/2/09 and another 39.99 0n 4/13/09 I dont know why I was charged both times. Could you explain? I think the 1st one renewal fee. How often would I get charged? get only one solitaire game
I purchased Pogo's Solitaire Bundle 2 days ago. I get only one game of solitaire. I can get it with different cards, but still only ONE game. I can't get into the pack that has all the different solitaire games. I'm not paying all that money for one solitaire game. Either fix it so that I can get ALL the solitaire games or refund my money. I have been playing pogo game for quite some time, and within the last month I can't play game at all. Pogo has my yearly payment, But I can't play game; how fair is that? Pogo will not let you contact them directly so this will have to do. It is real sad that this kind of thing happens to good people. I am retired and take care of my disabled husband, and we live on a fixed income, so the yearly payment my not seam like alot of money to some people but it is to me. Thank you for contacting Club Pogo Support.
The message you received was in regards to this
accounts’ questionable interaction with our games
after the account had been reviewed for meeting the
prize eligibility requirements. It is not until a player
claims a prize, that their account is reviewed.
Cheating in online games are activities that modify the
game experience to give one player an unfair advantage
over another player. Depending on the game, different
activities can constitute “cheating”.
The uses of macros, “bots”, “auto’s”, code
manipulation, “double-browsing”, token exchanging or
using 3rd party websites to assist a player in playing
Pogo games, are considered violations of the Terms of
Service Agreement. But in many typical cases, an account
being found ineligible, is do to the result of sharing
the account or through the use of so called “badge
helper” websites and services. Such an event could
have been at any time and in any game unrelated to the
game or time in which the prize was won.
Typically such services may claim they are untraceable
by Pogo servers and may not mention the repercussions to
player’s accounts for having used their products or
services. Sometimes you may find names such as
“Helpers”, “Buddies”, “Bots” or “Autos”
used to distract the player into thinking they are not
considered cheats, when in fact they are. Use of these
services allows players to have an advantage over
others, by increasing their token balance, status and
rank or reaching the Jackpot Spinner more quickly and
frequently.
As a result of this review, the prize has been forfeited
and the account will be ineligible to receive any
additional prizes for a period of six months starting
from the date the prize was won. The account will be
eligible to receive prizes again after the 6 month
period of ineligibility. All future prize claims will
also follow this same review process, with the review
period starting after the win date of the previously
claimed prize.
Due to the internal and confidential nature of the
information viewed during the review, we are unable to
share any specific details of the review with you. Other
questions regarding this matter will only be discussed
via e-mail. We will not discuss the details of any
reviewed players account over the phone.

It's so obvious that there are administrators who fix the games. Pogo is another of the "control freak" webistes. When I see control freaks like this, it makes me distrust any advertisers on it. I mean, you're talking about control freaks, the last people you can trust, by definition. I keep track of who advertises there, just so I can make sure never to purchase products from them. No way would I trust anyone who advertised with pogo.

* it will take you to a HUMAN or wait untill end of choices and press 9 for other games..it is actually e and a the parent company so it may bring you better results. the first thing they do is take your phone number and email so that if you are cut off they can get back to you. found it all by typing pogo contact number in search but had to go through a few pages to find it.
I wanted a number so I could complain about head techy and cant use emails as he is one in charge so nothing would get past him.
i went through the same thing with pogo games. i tried and tried and tried to cancel that subscription. they give no contact information - finally, i cancelled the debit card/creidt card and that ended that! POGO is a rip!
All you have to do is go to Pogo.com look under Help on the upper right side. At the top of the "search" page type in "Cancel" and you should see on the list offered, I think #6 says Canceling your Pogo Subscription, have you tried that?
