I have been very happy with Energy For Less
I have been very happy with Energy For Less. I recommend them to anyone. Their staff has been excellent to deal with. Signing up is easy, bills are easy to read, and it is cheaper

Been with Energy for less 2 years total and honestly should have left them after a few months. One month you get a bill for $150 the next month $1100. “Sorry your meter was not read so we didn't charge you enough for a few months" Which was absolute crap as I confirmed there was no delay or issue with the regular meter readings. Who can budget for that...and this happened more than once. So frustrated. Thankfully I'm done with them. Do not recommend this company at all unless you have lots of money in your bank account to budget for the very inconsistent bills.
I have never in my life dealt with customer service so awful
I have never in my life dealt with customer service so awful. Energy for Less was absolutely awful. Refused to listen to my issues. Threatened to cut me off for being 3 days late paying my bill after having a year of perfect payment. I had to leave my house while I had Covid to go to the bank just so I wouldn't lose power. Today I brought up legalities as I had spoke to 311 for advice. To which she absolutely lost her mind. As a business owner I would never have someone so ignorant, manipulative and condescending working for me. Also this company likes to throw a huge surprise at you every couple months saying oops sorry we didn't read the meter. Avoid this company at all costs!

Regional Energy, Promises that they can beat the competitors. They do not have a fixed rate and operate on a floating rate. In the month of July they were 14.7cent/kwh other competitors are at 6.69cent/kwh a whooping 45% more than the next competitor. When you sign up they promise all kinds of savings and benefits. The savings and benefits are zero in 3 months we have paid 200% more for the services from Regional vs what were paying prior to leaving our previous retailer. Be very cautious on being sold a scam of goods as they say if it sounds to good to be true it is too good to be true. 3 months of a learning experience and going back to a trusted retailer not some phony scam of goods.

Don't deal with these untrustworthy individuals, they answer the phone when you sign up but when you want to cancel the unfair practices begin! The cancel line NEVER ANSWERS, but says you call during "non business hours" false information. They never call you back and they think they can charge months after the fact because they took their sweet time to read a meter. Like 2 months after you canceled. When you call them on their unfair practices, no return calls and ignores your requests. I called 5 times on and around July 27th, to cancel it is now Oct 21st and still fighting with this unethical company. You are not saving anything with this dishonest company, but will save your sanity if you don't deal with this absolute disgrace of a company. I would give this company minus 5 stars if I could!. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. It took them months after I canceled to read my meter which has remote access to read anyways. Then they think they can deceive me with the usage of the person after me. When I asked when they read the meter they were evasive. Anyone that signs up with these untrustworthy individuals is asking for nothing but headaches. No trust no service the government should shut this disgraceful company down. The Ombudsman already has them on their radar as shiesters. Throw this garbage out.
Energy For Less should be called Expensive Energy
Energy For Less should be called Expensive Energy. Their rates for gas ($/GJ) and electricity ($/kWh) are more expensive than competitors, and their fees are the same or more expensive as well. Energy For Less billed me for my usage in January and the "estimate" usage for February. But what really freaked me out is that its "estimate rate" for February is 100% more expensive than January, yes you heard me right TWICE, DOUBLE, 100% more! Honestly, I don't know how they get their rates, if someone had a magic wand or if someone pulled them out from thin air. Let's compare some numbers:
Gas: On December, I paid $2.47/GJ with a competitor. January's rate on Energy For Less is $3.94/GJ (60% more expensive than the competitor). And listen to this... February's rate is $5.58/GJ, which is 125% more expensive than the competitor and 40% more expensive than January.
Electricity: I paid 6.59 cents/kWh with a competitor in December. With Energy For Less, I have to pay 12.7 cents/kWh in January. That is almost twice the price of the competitor! And listen to this, for February the rate is 25.9 cents/kWh... That is insane, that is a whopping 400% times the rates of the competitor and twice the rates of January.
On top of that, in December I paid $58 of electricity fees to the competitor, and now I have to pay $124 of fees for 2 months. That is about $62 per month, way more expensive than the competitor.
So do yourself a favor and choose a more stable provider than Energy For Less.

Just had a energy bill of 120 dollars switched just now to Energy for Less
Just had a energy bill of 120 dollars switched just now to Energy for Less. I compared rates to the energy commission the price averaged 7.6 cents for January. I called the energy commission said I was ripped off with no customer support. Energy commission if the meter reading was accurate was 72 to 88 dollars. I have to complain. Now let's see if they honour there savings guarantee.
I really wanted to like Energy For Less, but the savings have not been worth the trouble
I really wanted to like Energy For Less, but the savings have not been worth the trouble. - They debited my account once 10 times, putting me into supreme overdraft, and NSF with other accounts. They then passed the buck onto a third party and made me (and all affected clients) deal with it directly. Hassle. - Billing is inconsistent & confusing. They've switched systems, and have a very arduous billing system that is unpredictable and puzzling (some bills are 1 month, some are half month, some are 2 months). - They recently made an error withdrawing my monthly payment and tried to take it from an account that's not mine, and I have no idea why as I've been on preauthorized debit for over a year and a half. They then threatened to cut off my service, and despite my best efforts to reach them, there is NEVER anyone available on the phone, nor do they ever return messages (I retied several times). This issue is still ongoing despite me trying daily to resolve. Scare tactics and NO customer service. - Further to the above comment, you can NEVER reach anyone. It's frustrating. Customer service is simply non-existent. I never leave these types of reviews, and definitely don't want to slag a business that's trying to save me money, but this is hard to ignore. Energy For Less. Might save you money, but then you'll have to spend your savings on frustration in order to deal with them.

April , I am back charged over $1500 for electricity going back to December by Energy for Less
April , I am back charged over $1500 for electricity going back to December by Energy for Less. I received very little warning about this and the auto payment was taken directly from my chequing account. I made multiple calls and left several voicemails over a week before finally receiving a call back from a customer service representative. During the call, I informed the representative that I will be moving my accounts. She asked if I wanted her to cancel my service, to which I replied that I will take care of it myself. However, when I moved my service to ***, Energy for Less moved my services back without my permission and made no attempt to contact me other than through email. I refuse to do business with this organization as they lack common sense and have no understanding of customer service.
