Basically been ghosted by Esurance following a totaled car. On 8/11/23 I filed a claim for hail damage with Esurance. A few days later I got a call from an adjuster telling me they were going to send an estimator to inspect the car for damages. Shortly after I received the call from the estimator to set up a time to view the vehicle. Due to the amount of damage in the area it took about 9 days to get the car looked at which was understandable with the weather. I did not hear back from Esurance for weeks. I tried calling to no avail. I left messages and sent emails that all went unanswered. I finally got someone to escalate the situation through their Twitter support page. I finally got a call from a new adjuster who was very nice and told me the amount that they were paying out for the totaled vehicle and said all they needed was the account number for the loan. Unfortunately, I didn't have the number on me so she said I could just call her right back once I found it. I called back about 15 minutes later with the number to no answer. No problem, she's probably busy with someone else right now. This was a month ago. I have called and left messages every week with no answer. At this point I'm trying to figure out if I need to get a lawyer involved or what my options are. They have my car and the title but will not pay my claim. I have had to get another car for transit and because they have ghosted me on this issue I am currently paying two car payments, one for a car I no longer own. This needs to be resolved.
