I had a trip from New York City - Boston - Calgary - Kamloops. Flew to Boston to find out my flight from Boston - Calgary had been canceled. Called Expedia. They absolutely refused to help me, or to cancel or change or rebook my flight because I'd "already started my journey." Spoke to Westjet reps...was at the reservations counter for 8 full hours- they called their higher-ups and were told (and rightly so) that since I'd booked with Expedia, they had to change my flight. Expedia told me the airline had to (since my journey had started). After many hours of this cyclical argument both sides just shrugged and said there was nothing they could do on their end. I had to pay over 2k to book a flight with a different airline to get home because the flight I had ALREADY PAID FOR was canceled. How is that legal? Called Expedia and rep outright refused to escalate my complaint. Said a supervisor would call immediately but of course nobody did. What's my recourse?

On May 18, 2022, I booked a trip to Fort Myers FL in Sun Country and rented a car. I was charged $ 1020.40 for the Sun Country tickets and $ 155.20 for the car rental. However, although the car rental was done no money was transferred to the car rental, which means that Expedia pocketed this amount just for making the reservation. I had to full in full all the expenses for the car rental. I complained to the company but this issue has not been resolved. In the future, I will make my travel arrangements directly with the companies and not involve Expedia because I think they are charging me for services that they do not provide.

Made reservation through Expedia for car rental with Budget in March 2022. Arrived at pickup location on May 19, told no record of reservation (despite written confirmation from Expedia).

I ended up having to make 2 long-distance international calls and an expensive taxi ride across the city to an alternate location to get a car.

Budget showed me proof that Expedia was at fault.

Since I returned home, I have made over 20 calls to Expedia, demanding reimbursement for my out-of-pocket costs that arising from their error. However, they keep giving me a runaround.

I booked a hotel and flight round trip thru Expedia for 2 travelers back in January and also added the Trip Protection just in case. There have been many times changes with Untied Airlines and I never authorized nor agree to the change. I have called Expedia Customer Service several times to rectify the issue and also find out why the changes were taking place without my authorization. I spoke with a very helpful lady the week of 6/27 - 7/1 and she did state that I was entitled to a full refund from United Airlines due to the airline changes. She said she was going to call me back, but never received a call.

I called this week (twice) 7/5 - 7/8 and spoke with 2 females, who stated that I was not entitled to a full refund. I requested to speak with a supervisor several times and was ignored. I became very frustrated and cursed (I did apologize) I do not think this is fair that I book and pay for my trip thru Expedia and not receive a refund or credit for the flights. Instead Expedia will keep the money, unacceptable. The hotel refunded me, so I am looking for the remaining balance to be refunded or credited back some how. The amount Expedia is staying with is $878.00, why? Going forward I will not use Expedia to book my travels. I hope Expedia Company are not stealing or finding ways to stay with customers money. This is not fair. I have also filed a complaint with BBB.

They canceled our flight the day before without telling us. We never got a message or email that the flight was canceled, and were still receiving itineraries telling us about the travel package until the day before. Expedia refuses to refund for the hotel and mini van. We called customer service, in which we had to wait more than 30 minutes to get connected. We talked for over 2 hours, and the representative still refuses to acknowledge that they are at fault.

On June 14th, 2022 I have purchased 3 two-way flight tickets. I have not received any confirmations. No emails, no confirmation on the expedia app.

I assumed that my purchase did not go through.

I made another order on July 4th for the same tickets, same flight, same dates.

Next, day July 5th. I found a charge on my credit card for June 14th purchase.

I called to expedia and spoke with an agent, after a lengthy search he was able to find my original purchase and sent me confirmation email.

I asked him to cancel my July 4th purchase and he advised me to call to customer service for cancellation.

I called to customer service but was advised that expedia will not make a refund.

I am asking for expedia to look into this matter and return my funds for July 4th purchase.

Several weeks ago, I submitted a refund request to expedia regarding airline tickets I did not use. Although I purchased my tickets directly with expedia, they/you continue to withhold my refund of nearly $600USD.

Please refund my money immediately, as to avoid legal consequences.

I made a mistake when I booked my flight. I brought this issue up with a representative and it took over an hour of me repeating my issue for them to finally give a resolution. By then it was midnight my time and I was just done. Had an issue with another flight where I was being up charged by the airline for services I already purchased through Expedia because the airline said there was an issue with Expedia's systems and they couldn't honor what I had already paid for. 3 hours of my life trying to get everything resolved just to be told sorry, there's nothing we can do. Absolutely horrible headache and anger. I then asked if I could get a small discount on a car rental because I had to pay extra with the airline for services already purchased through Expedia. All they could say is we can't provide discounts because "our deals are the best around"

I had a flight on El Al Airlines for April 2, 2020. El Al cancelled the flight on 3/17/2020 due to covid. I wanted to use my Expedia credit to book a flight (finally). Expedia told me my credit had expired with El Al although, clearly, on Expedia the credit still appears in my list of credits. They told me El Al was no longer honoring credits that my credit expired in Feb 2022. On the El Al website it clearly states they are honoring flight credits from cancelled flights between Feb 2020 until Dec. 2023. Never going to use Expedia again!

I’ve been in contact with Vrbo for the last 4 days to solve this issue but unfortunately didn’t find any help. I made a reservation through your website (Reservation ID HA-QFFH3K ). The dates of reservation from 12-15 July were available in your website so, I made the reservation and I have paid the full amount of money. The money was transacted from my Credit via Vrbo ( I have transaction No). Later on the same day I have received an email from the owner that the dates of reservation are not available. I don’t know this is the mistake of Vrbo or the owner NOT to update the calendar but for sure this is not my mistake. For the last 4 days I’m trying to get my money back without any success. I called the owner and she is ready to help , she said that she didn’t receive the money. I have called Vrbo many times, but I didn’t find any help. Vrbo insists that the owner has to log in the system and cancel the reservation. The owner claims that she cannot access the system and she sent an email that she cancel the reservation but your company still insisting that she has to log in your system. Currently I’m stuck between VRBO and the owner

Really, I didn’t expect this from a company like Vrbo.

Back in February I booked a one night at the Marriott's MountainSide at Park City, Utah. A few days late I was looking to add a night, I contacted Expedia who told me they were unable to sell me an additional night. After a few tries and a few attempts to contact the hotel I had to purchase 2 nights directly from the hotel. The room I booked through Expedia went to waste. I turned out that the hotel had a minimum 2 night stay for that weekend but Expedia sold me one night only. This is simply a FRAUD. I contacted Expedia later again and they denied that there was a minimum stay. I am attaching a picture of a similar weekend for ext year which clearly says there is a minimum. I traveled a few times since and did not use Expedia. I will never used Expedia again unless they contact me and correct the issue. I will also make sure that I publish a negative review in every website to prevent other people from falling into this scam.

They refuse to refund me for something I had no control over. China airlines refused me boarding to Taipei do to covid test that turned into a Money maker by trying to make me pay $275 for swab testing and another $275 for blood work to be done at the San Francisco Airport, plus a 2 day wait for results before traveling, which I explained to virtual agent SHIVAM... I would of missed my flight. From Manila to Cagayan De Oro on 6/28/2022 and from Cagayan De Oro to Manila on 7/15/2022. SHIVAM refuses to pay out any refund. There was no was to contact Expedia without a laptop and the Expedia phone number wasn't any good. Poor service and would never recommend Expedia to anyone. But warn them

I was charged $50 for a car that was advertised on expedia and not available due to a snow storm. I don't understand why there is a charge for insurance for a car that did not exist.

I have tried to get a refund only to find out months later that they are not reversing the charge.

I have not found a way to reach anybody at Expedia to resolve this issue. I all that I get is an automated response.

I contacted my credit card company and they now, months later, say that I had to cancel the auto insurance in writing, in spite of never having received a car due to no cars being available to rent. - a snow storm prevented them from coming down the mountain with the previous customer.

I have sent the above agents 3 emails that he has not answered about emailing me a new itinerary about my flight from Tampa to Boston on July 21st and from Boston to Tampa on July 24th. I called him today and he stated he would send me a new email today which he has not done so far. I have tried to communicate with him for the last 2 weeks and always get an excuse why he cannot come through with my simple requests. My itinerary number is [protected]. arrive at Tampa fl, airport, went to pickup rental car from thrifty, only to be denied. I paid for my vacation package airfair, room, car with my debit card. thrifty denied me picking up the car because they said a debit card cannot be used for rental cars. expedia took my money. my family and I had to uber to the hotel in clearwater fl. and back to the airport when we departed fl. we had to uber where ever we wanted to go while on vacation. i have spent hours on the phone trying to get my money back for the rental car. this is unacceptable, i will never use expedia for any of my vacation needs again.

I booked flights for British Airways Vancouver-London return in 2020 and again in 2021. Both flights were cancelled.

Expedia said they would hold the credit of those flights until covid had settled down and/or I could reliably fly to London again without the threat of covid cancelling my flights.

When I did decide earlier this year (2022), I called Expedia to find out how to use the credits as they weren't obvious on my account and I couldn't find any way of accessing the credits.

After a l-o-n-g time on the phone, the agent suddenly proclaimed I should talk to BA as THEY had taken the money, not Expedia. (I guess BA must get paid at some point so at first this seemed sort of, vaguely reasonable.)

I called BA and they said they had received many such referrals to them but the flights were booked through Expedia and it was they that had received the fares and it was they that held the credits.

No amount of explanation to the Expedia agent when I called them again changed the situation. Again, this was after 40min+ hold and exhausting conversation with Expedia.

Lesson learned: NEVER book a flight with anyone other than the airline you choose to fly with. It just ISN'T worth the hassle if anything goes wrong. Ever.

I had booked a holiday with Expedia on the 13/06/2021 I had noticed they had charged my account twice for my tickets.

I have contacted three times and have asked to lodge a complaint and told there is no such thing and have been hung up on after waiting 40 minutes to have this resolved. I was advised the charge would be lifted in 3-5 days. It’s been over that.

My trip for a pre-paid group of 4 was cancelled by the vendor and we never received a refund. This cancellation ruined 1 full day of our Dubai trip and I do not pre-purchasing this tour. It was the only tour we had issues with and I have received the runaround since May. This is almost $400 lost and AND I WANT OTHER AMERICANS TO BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM.

I purchased tickets thru expedia to fly to Boston and back. Delta cxld the flight too bos. I spent a whole day at mco waiting on standby but didn't get on a flight.

We were jerked around by both Delta and expedia. Cancelling the return flight has become a nightmare as expedia (spirit) used a different airline. They are refusing to cxl without charging and only giving a credit. Expedia refused to help with the situation.

Booked through Expedia for 16-17 June 2021. Hotel not as described, with no hot water. Filthy

public areas with dog feces all over. Expedia photos show a clean grassy poolside, which is deceptive. Entrance was open to street, allowing wild dogs in at will. Altogether unhealthy and dangerous. We were not told of available amenities at checkin, such as welcome drink, and only learned of the m from a poster.
