My daughter is an undergraduate at ASU in San Angelo.
She is very busy with a double major, president of a club and staying on the Dean's list.
I called to see if your office took her medicaid insurance for her glasses. We have zero problems with our Eyemart Express here, but she has no vehicle so I wanted to make certain for her.
Someone named Sandra answered. She asked irrelevant questions such as why we lived in different states (1 we don't and 2 that has nothing to do with her insurance). I asked if this office would take her insurance. She told me she would, "have to get her little entitled butt down here and check and stop depending on her mom to fix her problems". What?
First, that is irrelevant. Second anything but true. I am a court mediator with a master's in psychology. They found uterine cancer this year and because of illness and treatments I have been unable to work. My husband is supporting our family of 5 and my medical issues alone.
My daughter works and takes a full load of classes with a double major while staying on the Dean's list.
Regardless, if this young lady doesn't like answering phones or working with the public, many businesses are in need of employees right now, perhaps she should change jobs. In the meantime, maybe EyeMart Express should take a page from the Abilene Store. Even if they don't enjoy every customer, they certainly understand where their paychecks come from. Well, we will not be contributing to Sandra's or this store. This is shameful. I am glad I called ahead, my trusting and truly kind daughter would have been very hurt from her attitude.
Incredibly disappointed and upset,

Desired outcome: No idea what can be done, but there is a large network of parents at Angelo State and the Texas Tech University System that will be warned.
