This evening on 03/12/18 my nephew and I visited store number 04420 located at 261 Broad Street Manchester, CT 06040.
I picked up six items and made my way to the cashier where we were assisted by a cashier named Amanda. My nephew saw a bell on the counter and
rang it and placed it back down. Amanda continued with the transaction as the other associate Jessica stormed over snatched up the bell from by Amanda's side and walked back to her register making nasty rude comments to my nephew and me.
Amanda then decided to join Jessica with her comments and because of their rude behavior I asked to return all six items. Jessica then started to yell saying that Amanda could not do the return because she was in training. I patiently waited until Jessica was done with her customer for my $20 return and asked for the number to customer service. She continued to be rude to my nephew and me and said that I needed to google the information myself.
After several times of me asking for the information she continued yelling and arguing with my nephew and being rude and disrespectful to me.
All of the patrons in the store were flabbergasted at the behavior demonstrated and the vulgar language used in front of the children present.
I am a government employee and never in my life have I ever treated anyone with such intolerable and disgusting behavior . I am expecting there to be some form of satisfaction for this type of mistreatment by your family dollar employees. If this is the type of training that associates are given then your company needs to do a complete overhaul of customer service skills and management qualifications.
My plan is to continue to persue equal and fair treatment for all customers and if this is an unattainable goal to be met by your Family Dollar corporation I will also be reporting your practices to the Better Business Bureau.

I came. Into family dollar today to shop, told the manager that it was junk in the cart, nobody. Couldn't use the cart, his response was shut up, look at my mom and said tel her to shut up, my mom said to him, she grown, how do you talk to a grown woman like that, that was very very disrespectful and rude an unprofessional, and this. Is not the first time he talk to customerin that tone that came in the store to shop, something need to be done with him, he very rude and disrespectful, unprofessional, for the company, and because he talk to in that manner, I will do what it take s to have this matter look into.

I'm a Customer, on 3/11/2018, My Husband and I were leaving the parking lot of the Family Dollar Store ! We were backing out, when the Manager almost walked into the side of our car! When we ask her what she was doing she was very combative, which made the situation escalate to an argument, she was very disrespectful, yelling at us across the parking lot and then told us not to com back to her store! The whole situation would not have gotten to that level if she would have taken responsibility for her unprofessional actions from the beginning! I have lived in this Community for 22 yrs and have shopped in this store since it opened, and have seen up to 5 different Managers go through this store, I have never had a issue until this! I have been a valued customer that has spent thousands of dollar at this store and feel totally disrespected! I shop there for the convenience in location to my residence! I go into this store all the time i'm retired and live very close... So this my home store there's a pregnant women who always smells of marijuana. I smell it at the register... Think you guys need new management and she has a nasty attitude and very rude someone needs to look into this I am considering calling police something not rite. not honoring coupons
On separate occasions of visiting the family dollar store, upon check out, the cashier stating that you all do not accept coupons and denied the coupons from the items I was purchasing. My daughter also visits the store often and was told the same thing. Other stores have no problem with it. Are you all not honoring coupons any more at this store? I have read your coupon policy and my coupons are valid to your policy.

I came in today and both cashiers were in the back office, I rang the bell and it took them 3 minutes to get out of the office and come serve me. I'm tired of coming in when Carleen is working and having to wait several minutes to get off her phone to help me. I often catch her playing on her phone. Every time I come in when she's working she's always playing on her phone instead of working. I always have to wait multiple minutes for her to come up to the counter. I need to go out and find her in the store and I always see her on her phone.

I wanted to buy three packs of Cheyenne cigarettes today and I wasn't away from the store not even ten minutes and and went to grab a pack and realized that they had given me cigars instead of cigarettes so I went back and let them know that they had sold me the wrong product but they wouldn't exchange or give me the money back so I could go somewhere else to get some cigarettes. They told me that it was against the law but its not I have done checked into it unless its against policy but stores are allowed to exchange the product as long as it hasn't been opened and they wasn't so I gave them the cigars back and told them that I can not smoke cigars and I have been a loyal customer for years and I think it was in just so if I am going to be done this way I will be treated then I will no longer be customer to family dollar or dollar tree

My complaint is on the store manager for store 1471 in Augusta, Ga 30904. Latitia Heckard is extremely rude to her customers and her employees. She refuses to help CSR when very long lines. I witnessed a shoplifter try and walk out the door and she just told them they couldn't come back instead of calling the law. Also the district manager of that store Eric does not do anything about her performance or customer service issues. I have complained tons of times and nothing is being done.
Something needs to be done about her asap!

The store #06502 in Detroit. It was my 1st time visiting and I live right down the street. I never went because I just knew that it would be TERRIBLE on the inside and out. To my surprise it wasn't so bad inside- it could be a lot cleaner. But, the parking lot was absolutely terrible. Yes the store is in the "urban" part of the city but it doesn't have to reflect it. In fact, it's located where one side of the street (directly behind the store) is an older part of the City where it's still nice, and the other side isn't so pleasing. The parking lot is so terrible, it almost makes you not want to come in. Please pave it.
This is welcomed in the neighborhood a well needed type of store.

On 1/13/18, I purchased a Nintendo gift card for my godson with my debit card, and on 1/28/18, he tried to login to his account and use the gift card. The site said it wasn't activated. On 1/29/18, I returned to store for assistance and the cashier Corey said that only the manager could help because he could not help me and wasn't trained yet in how to resolve these situations. I gave him my info and he said he would have the manager call me the next day. No calls. Early in February, I go into store and the shift manager is there named Alicia, she gives me the same story, and I receive no help. I've been to the store like 20 times, no manager until 3/6/18 when Toni finally is there. I tell him I only want the card activated because it was their fault that someone did not activate the card properly and I used my debit card so it should be easy to pull up the receipt. And I have the information from the gift card, he does nothing to help and gets an attitude when I remind him that I have spent two months waiting for assistance. So I call the [protected], to file the complaint and I am on hold for 1.5 hours and never got to speak with anyone this is ridiculous and needs to be resolved because this is poor customer service on every level.

I have been trying to reach someone for weeks no response i reach out to the district manager Melissa Hawkins no response i went into family dollars store number 5501 about three weeks ago i seen in the cooler that said all cooler items are 50 percents off so i proceeds to the counter and i asked the cashier is all the cooler items 50 perccent off she said no only the items with the red stickers that says 50 percent off i told her they should have had a sign that said all red dot. Stickers in the cooler are 50 % off. I went into family dollar store #09420 last night and used a newport coupon for cigarettes then i go in the same store this morning and the girl said they dont take those coupons. Im a loyal customer but this have taken the cake with me. I've always used my newport coupons there but after today i dont think ill be shopping there because thats not how you do business. I went into the family dollar on Hickman in Des Moines Iowa. Around 10am. On 3/3/18. The girl working there was unfriendly and acted like she didn't want to be there. The trash outside the main doors was overflowing. And smelled. The store is a disaster. There is a bird in the store. And some liquid leaked on the floor and left a trail throughout the store. I have stellar customer service skills and love interacting with customers but everytime I apply I never hear anything back. At least hire people who enjoy working there or want to be there. I would like to work at family dollar and enjoy shopping there as the prices are good and I have found some good stuff but it is a turnoff to customers like me when I dont feel welcome. I shop at this location because it's convenient for me and close but some changes need to be made to this location. This seems to be a recurring thing with this location. Thank you.

My young child had to use the bathroom bad and it was very nasty we told the girls there that she needed to go to the bathroom bad and there was not any toilet paper and they didn't care even told them that she needed to go it took me having to tell them that if you don't get her some toilet paper that i would be calling the hottline the girl was very rude after that while we were shopping for what we needed it was if they were watching and talking and cursing about me i wouldn't have gotten mad if they wouldn't have treated my kids so badly and the store is very poorly kept

3/1/18 is family dollar too cheap to buy bags for the customers to put there items in i went to the family dollar on main street hamilton ohio 45013 i go there a lot first time i ever had to complain about anything about this store but this goes too far i had no choice but to give me a garbage bag to put my items in they say company won"t send them any i mean come'on should"t have to use a garbage cost more money to use that than the normal bags every store i been too never had this issue and now this happen

On Feb. 26th at 1746 pm(Monday) I went to FD Store #11166 Pemberton, NJ 08068. I visit this store several time a week and converse with the Manager. When I got home I immediately saw that I didn't have my 2.00 juice that I purchase. I checked my receipt and I immediately called the store to tell them. The cashier say it is here behind the counter. I left my full name and told her I will be back tomorrow to pick it up. I when back on Wednesday, they ask for a receipt. I looked for my receipt and couldn't find it. (being very nervous I over looked it)The manage wouldn't let me have the juice even throw I call and said I forgot my juice. The manager proceeded to look on a camera as proof that I was in the Store that took forever so I went home pissed. I can see if I purchase a Iron, But a 2.00 juice that I called. I couldn't find my receipt so the manage could at least ask for an ID showing my name that matched the name taped on the juice. I will be returning today to get my juice with my receipt !. Wasted time and gas!

I am writing to complain about the Manager Tina, That Manages your Caliente Nevada Location, I have been Trespassed off of the property, because I am married to someone that was Trespassed for Shoplifting, I was not with my wife when the alleged incident happened, nor have I ever Shoplifted in my life, we live in a small community and it is simply not right that just because my wife was trespassed that I should no longer be allowed in the store, I am only requesting that I be allowed to shop at Family Dollar I tried speaking to Tina and she wouldn't speak to me. I have been trespassed off the property since August 2017
