Worst company and drivers !
I live in a building and the driver never can put the package in front of my door .They left a piece of paper for me to sign but never get into the condominium to check in order to see the paper with my signature and allow the package delivered They don’t want to work ,is a waste of money and time because always I need to pickup at FedEx location.I called costumer service telling them the problem and they said the drivers can not put the code that I provided to enter to the building for me to open the door because is not allowed.They putted a paper outside the building having them the code to enter provided by me ,but they can’t do the appropriate job .And now I have a question : Where I live ? Because I don’t think is outside the condominium.Don’t playing with the costumers .So I’m paying a delivered company just to pickup by my self .Is disappointed don’t waste your time and money with them if you live in a building ,because you will have to pickup at the store .The drivers are super lazy and unprofessional .I never had that kind of problems with UPS .FedEx is a mess .I’m really disappointed ,I’m just paying money to a person that is not able to leave my package to me or in front of my door .Is disgusting .Costumer service will tell you that they will put a bad complaint to the driver for you but that never happened ,and they are not able to solve the problem .One of the days the driver putted delivered in the app and they never left the package.Is disrespectful and now I must to pick up at FedEx location because they can’t do a great job and just get into the building and give me the package .I never put bad review but is not the first time that happens to me .Is the worst experience you can pass throug .DONT USE FEDEX this company is like a joke .
Use FedEx.com and NOT the app - two different results
This app is pathetic for a company with the technology that FedEx should have. Obviously not a priority for the company, and that is unacceptable. Today, I’m waiting for a package where the app says Delivery Date is Yesterday by end of day. Yesterday the app showed the package to be within 10 miles in neighboring city and estimated delivery date tomorrow (i.e.: 2 days from yesterday). The next updated app info showed the package taking 17 hours travel time to some location within my city (again, we’re talking max 10 to 15 miles total). Just checked my email and received a FedEx update this morning indicating that delivery should be by end of day - TODAY ... but the app continues to show nothing more than expected delivery is Yesterday.
After reading another 1-star review, took their advice and went to FedEx.com (internet site, NOT the app). Their internet site indicates that the package is on the vehicle for delivery. The app? It continues to show that it’s just at the facility and delivery date is yesterday ... nothing more.
How is it that a company as large as FedEx can have technology systems for customer service that give two different sets of information? Does FedEx have a CTO?
Lastly - UPS and Amazon have had GPS technology that follows the delivery vehicle so that you don’t have to wait by the door with no indication of a delivery window time (my package requires a release signature). FedEx just says “by end of day” ... really? Have to believe FedEx can track their trucks and connect that info to info shared with customers. My conclusion is that there is no one at FedEx who knows this is possible or knows how to accomplish what other delivery companies have figured out ... and neither conclusion is flattering. Come on FedEx. You can be better!
Very disappointed
I’ve asked the delivery driver four times already not to leave anything in the hallway it’s an outside hallway there’s ED apartments we have a leasing office right on the property that is willing to take packages and he insists on leaving it in the outside hallway and he gets stolen everyone there has been complaining even UPS said what he’s doing is wrong when he comes into the building the UPS guy and sees all the packages on the ground he said that’s definitely wrong he does not try to ring my doorbell I have to chase things around after they’ve been stolen I’ve called FedEx I’ve had a package sent out to me for different times over a five month. And it got stolen every time because he left it out in the outside hallway he never rings are doorbells he just leaves them in the hallway gets back in his truck and takes off even our leasing office is trying to do something about this because everyone’s complaining that the packages are being stolen and it’s the same drive all the time I actually had an a conversation with him and he still leave them in the hallway I have two more deliveries coming from FedEx and I’ve already put in the notes last time leasing office only because he doesn’t ring a doorbell when I’m not expecting a package I watch him he gets out of the truck opens the first hallway door drops everything on the ground gets in his truck and drives away so I find that very unprofessional it’s unfortunate that the things I buy have to come through fed ex I have no problem with UPS no problem with Amazon no problem with DHL because they ring doorbell‘s and if you’re not home they bring it over to the leasing office unfortunately fed ex don’t do that he leaves it in the hallway and outside one with Edie different apartments visit is in and out cleaning people and believe me everyone has been complaining they got four phone calls the other day that people stuff had been stolen
FAILED TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS
USING THIS APP WAS FINE UNTIL THE PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED. I ordered a trampoline for my children for Christmas. The 180lbs package was to be delivered via FedEx. So I downloaded this app and saw that there is an option for delivery instructions. "Great!" I thought to myself, "I can have the package dropped at the back door/patio!" Which is an option FedEx includes in the App. My family and I are at my sisters house visiting. I noticed on the app that the package has been delivered. Again thinking, "Great, the kids won't see the FedEx delivery person and when we get home the packages will be hidden behind the house." Well, we turned the corner, and my heart sank. The 3 boxes were IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DRIVEWAY IN FRONT OF THE GARAGE! These boxes have trampoline printed on them, as I can see pulling up to the house. I quickly carried the 180lbs of boxes into the backyard to deal with later. Thanks FedEx for possibly ruining my childrens' belief in Santa. WHY DO YOU HAVE AN DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS OPTION WHEN YOUR DRIVERS WILL IGNORE IT!? Best of all? I get some generic customer response from their "customer support." Saying "We greatly appreciate that you have taken the time to write and share your concerns. This allows us a valuable opportunity to examine and correct possible deficiencies that cause customer dissatisfaction.
I deeply regret that the service you received has failed to meet your expectations of excellence. FedEx is genuinely concerned with providing the highest quality service possible.

This is a last straw for me. Its been a struggle with them for years and I only just now want to talk about this as I am sick of this struggle and wanna help anyone avoid it.
I was a florist in big sky Montana and a number of our distributors went through fedex. Flowers are an overnight ship…. Fedex was always quick unless the package went to the Memphis TN location, which is their largest location. If it was in Memphis, this overnight delivery would arrive ROTTEN a WEEK later. I had 4 arrive 2 weeks-2months later and 1 go missing. These flowers were ordered weekly, but after the first few times we tried to avoid that distributor because they wouldnt send it with someone else. I stopped using anyone who used fedex for a while. I finally tried again for Enamel pins that I sell. I ordered in February, it shipped… then it arrived in Memphis and somehow it went from being 2 pounds at customs, to an Empty box in Memphis. The company ended up fast tracking my replacement pins and they were delayed in Memphis for weeks and didnt make it to me again. Another fast track and the shipping trackment for that is the one seen Above.
Message to Fedex, keep doing what your doing everywhere…except Memphis. Either regroup and organize your Memphis location and install cameras to help prevent Theft, or burn it to the ground. Idc either way, just remove it, because every other location seems to know how to do their job.

Okay so fedex isn’t the only delivery for postal stuff that has this issue but by far has it the most often in my experience and from just reading complaints from others in my community…. The drivers will mark an item delivered…… and one of a few things is actually happening
1) the item isn’t actually delivered for at least 20 minutes at max a while other day happens before it reaches it’s destination.
2) the item is delivered to the wrong house and I don’t just mean in the same neighborhood I mean like say it was supposed to go to 14007 fortunes ridge and ended up at 14007 sagewood instead…. While they are both in same community how do you get the bloody street name wrong
3) the stuff it in our mailbox , only postal service that is legally allowed to do that is USPS so your guys when they do that are breaking federal laws
4) they are told drop it at back patio door but instead of on a back patio they leave it at a side door stair well……. Which doesn’t even look like a porch let alone a patio……. Just saying……

The heck our package was miss delivered too? On top of that the drivers obviously need to figure out a better way of handling scan and drop cause a package being said to have been delivered but doesn’t get there for 20 minutes - 24 hours after it is marked as having been delivered is absolutely ridiculous. I get many are understaffed for drivers right now between delivery drivers of all kinds to school buses & such but this has been a major issue for fedex since well before the pandemic hit…. Ya’ll need to FIX this because I am so done. I’m starting to not want to use certain places for delivery of my regular pet products because they use you guys more often than not to deliver…. Which means you would be costing yourself money as well as other companies…… just fix it for the love of all things holy….
HORRIBLE SERVICE
My package was to be delivered Friday according to the tracking number. It was not delivered. It didn’t come Saturday either. When I tracked it on Monday it said the driver picked it up from the terminal and it was out fir delivery. After 4 calls to Fed Ex and speaking to a supervisor she assured me someone would call me within 24 hours and get the package to me Tuesday. To no avail exact same run around on Tuesday. I spoke to a supervisor who said the tracking stated it was out for delivery but when she called the terminal my package was still there and once again did NOT get delivered. This was the 3rd missed delivery yet each time the tracking said it was on the truck. Today Wednesday them Fed Ex sent me a text co formation stating my package was on the truck for delivery. After 7 calls today and co scantly being put on hold for 45 minutes + each time NOBODY ever came back to the phone. The 5th time the terminal worker said she contacted the driver who xo firmed my package was NOT on his truck and she was looking at it at their terminal. She agreed it’s 3 missed deliveries and that was unacceptable and said the terminal manager is walking to the phone now to take my call and I got disconnected. I w tried calling back 2 times and even gave her my cell # in case of being disconnected. Here it is now 4 days missed deliveries and I still have not gotten my package nor have I been successful in getting through to the terminal or a supervisor. I’m currently on call #7 and on hold for 45 min again without being served again. It appears I will NOT receive my package AGAIN. To make matters worse this is my new bed and I’ve been sleeping on the floor. I’m a single mom n had family drive 2 hours round trip to come help me as a wasted trip cuz I can’t lift the 115 steel adjustable electric bed. This is insane and pathetic. The terminal girl even has my cell number and nobody has called me back AGAIN ... absolutely by far the worst service ever. Sometimes I’m on hold and I go to the survey and have given 1’s which is the worst rating. I am livid to say the least.
Delivery instructions never followed
I can see from these reviews that I have the same frustrations that many here have described in their reviews. I also find most of the five star reviews highly questionable and suspect which warrants a closer look by the App Store. My complaint is the delivery drivers never follow or comply with the simple instructions I have stated in Delivery Manager. The instructions clearly state to place the package at my front door in a place that’s out of direct sight from the street. My front porch at the entrance has a full brick wall to one side and a 3ft x 3 ft square brick pillar that is also 3 ft tall just to the other side of the door that can easily hide a moderate size package or box out of sight from the street and side walk. My deliveries are mostly small to medium size boxes and the driver consistently sets the packages on the floor in between and sometimes forward of this pillar in plain view of the sidewalk and street. Heck someone partially blind can easily see them! FEDEX never rings the doorbell and there is always someone home. Tell me how difficult is it to even push a door bell button? I never have this problem with other delivery drivers like UPS, Amazon or private so this shouldn’t be an impossible task for FEDEX to complete. In the more than thirty years of my working history 2/3’s of which were supervising a large group of subordinates I can say this problem is basically due to inadequate management or the lack of allowing drivers to be careless and lazy. FEDEX driver is a highly sought after position with above board pay and benefits henceforth if managed properly would motivate drivers to appropriately conduct their job according to the company’s policies and requirements in order to maintain their job since there’s a ton of applicants that would gladly take their place. This should also be the mainstay and motivating factor with higher paid management responsible to insure deliveries are made in accordance with the company’s policy and promise to the customer. The top level VP’s and directors need to get off their duff and correct this situation before it gets out of hand. Its inexcusable and totally not impossible to correct.
In Hawai’i, UPS & USPS kick FedEx butt
The FedEx app is grossly inferior to the UPS app and their website is even worse. The same holds true when the FedEx app is compared to the USPS app. I can navigate just about anything on iPad/iPhone or Macbook but the FedEx app and website are a chaotic and exasperating exercise in frustration. I realize that this review is probably supposed to focus on just the app and how well it does or doesn’t work, but since I already gave my opinion on that mess, I will also submit my overall FedEx review here as well. Maybe someone that matters in the FedEx corporation will read this and do something about it. I receive multiple packages every week and most of them are delivered by USPS or UPS without complication. Once or twice a year I will order something from the Apple website and unfortunately, Apple uses FedEx to deliver their products in Hawai’i. For me, packages from Apple are eagerly anticipated as well as fairly expensive, so not being at home when FedEx finally arrives is not an option with FedEx. Last week I ordered the Beats Fit Pro earbuds and the FedEx app told me they would be delivered sometime between 10am and 5pm… this is incredibly inconvenient and very problematic because it forces me to hang out in my apartment for the entire day waiting for FedEx. I don’t dare complicate the delivery by requesting my package be held for me to pick up either. I tried that last year for an iPhone delivery and FedEx just went ahead and delivered it to my door.., the only problem was that I was at work at the time of delivery and when nobody answered, a $1000 iPhone 12 Pro was left in a public access hallway in front of my door. Fortunately, my neighbor saw the package just sitting there and quickly took it into safe keeping until I returned. I’m almost sure it would have been stolen otherwise. These problems just don’t occur with UPS or USPS. I receive around 250 packages a year from UPS and USPS combined without incident but the 4 or 5 packages I get from FedEx every year? Well, at least FedEx is consistent in their poor service.
HEY APPLE! Please switch to UPS for Hawai’i residents! This is enough to make me consider switching to Samsung for my devices!
Death For Small Businesses
Non existent customer service. Most packages shipped (particularly shipped via ground) held routinely at sorting facility for 7-10 days with no recourse and no option for release. They will not drive them to you and they will not let you drive to them and collect. Shipment info is back peddled, changed, and inaccurate. They will not give you updates or information, or do anything about it, especially at crucial periods like the holidays when customer wait times are crucial. When calling customer service either directly or even when having the shipper call on one’s behalf, there is nothing to be done and no real answer given. We just have to wait. That is not what our customers want to hear when waiting for an order.
I’ve learned NEVER to count on their shipping estimates.
Local driver has no respect or is illiterate. Doesn’t read notes on door placed there just for them. Doesn’t wait for the door to be answered or doesn’t ring the bell. Leaves packages on the steps in a very high traffic area where packages are routinely stolen and hopes for the best. I have to be notified by shipping alerts that packages have been delivered or by happening upon them outside if I haven’t been quick enough hear/see the truck out the window ahead of a delivery. Lucky us! Sometimes I wonder if he flings the boxes from the truck. They may explain why so many of them are damaged (and why my last order had to be RMA’d at great time and expense to both myself and the shipper).
Of all of the deliveries we get to this building, of which there are MANY, the FedEx man is the ONLY one who behaves this way. It’s no longer safe to assume packages will be rerouted to the local store if I’m not home (see above) and therefore I have to plan to wait for this inconvenience all day if a package is expected… sometimes multiple days in a row because, as mentioned, the tracking information is so inaccurate.
For some deliveries I’m told they will be delivered and then they never leave the sorting facility. Today I woke to an email that my delivery was delayed, and then it went out anyway, and our friendly neighbourhood delivery man flung it at the door again.
I have begun to actively avoid ordering from any company that uses FedEx as a shipper, even if they are otherwise wonderful, because of the disruptions and stress that comes if it at this final stage.

Patience, Patience and Patience. Good App for the most part
So it’s not wise to be angered with the messenger but this app seems to me to be accurate. I would say though the “assistant” doesn’t send you to a real person but is a bot. But here my review for FedEx shipping>
I ordered something for Easter to wear/ Resurrection Sunday (time sensitive);( Silly rabbit Easter’s for Jesus) And I’m on the Spanish Worship team so I’m on stage singing. So pretty important. I ordered and paid about $20 extra for it to arrive early just in case; this would be more than early enough in my eyes; 5 ish days before Sunday.
Now it’s May 2nd and it still isn’t here. For those of you who aren’t acquainted with our months and days, that’s bad lol; no bueno. It hasn’t came. I’m not mad but upset Ig you can say. (Sound like a parent lol.) here to give you guys a heads up
My order was from Canada and I currently was and am in MN/ Minnesota, which is on the border of Canada. This company shipped through FedEx, The order went to Tennessee and has been there for 20+ days… I could have literally driven to the store and or have driven to Tennessee and it would have been a quicker process and on time, matter of fact. It really is a test of patience for your package to go across the country, going over your house, just to sit further away for some time when I was just practically next door.
I was so excited and now it has somewhat been tainted. Through this whole process though I know God works all things for Good to those who Love Him so Amen! I wasn’t worried and still am not or will ever be; I ended up wearing something very nice and or better. And upon that God’s moved in ways that would have not occurred if this didn’t happen. But nonetheless what I wanna say is that if your order is shipping through FedEx and Goes to their base in Tennessee; “GoodLuck” although there’s no such thing lol. I Pray for your patience; because that’s all up can do. Wait. And don’t be a fool on top of that crushing your heel on those where fault is not; and yet you could prolly survive without what you ordered.
But yea patience lol. Definitely know now not to have things ship through FedEx if their ever time sensitive and or just normal honestly. Note that this is only an order through their Tennessee Facility; I don’t know if this is in all but yea. God Bless! App is 100% necessary
If you are going to ship or receive any packages using FedEx you will absolutely need this app. The only service they will guarantee is overnight and anything else seems to arrive whenever it arrives. If you do not use this app you will have no idea when your package will show up. My experience has been that FedEx will provide an estimated delivery date. In the many packages I have received over the last year, less than 5% of them have actually been received on the estimated date, or within 3 days of the estimated date. Where this app really shines, is that you will see when your package is stuck in one of the many FedEx distribution centers and then you can call and complain to FedEx. When you call they will involve humans and actually go find your package and keep it moving along. Without this app, you will have no idea that your package has been sitting in one of their distribution centers for a week or more and you will be waiting with no end in sight. It is interesting to note that even when your package is sitting in one of their distribution centers not making any progress towards you, they do not update the expected delivery date. In fact, my experience is that even after they have missed the time window for the day of the delivery, they do not update the date until the next day. Obviously they know they're not going to deliver it to you on the specified date. It is too bad that the service has become this way but it is the norm, not the exception for Fedex.
Another useful part of this app is it will let you know when your package has been delivered. Our FedEx driver will not put packages on our front door, but instead leaves them at the side of the road. I know when the app says I have a package that was delivered to my door that I usually have to telephone all my neighbors to see if anyone picked it up. My neighbors will do this out of courtesy so the packages don't get stolen. We have tried to tell FedEx that the side of the road is not our front door but that does not seem to make any difference. For whatever reason, the FedEx driver will not get out of his truck for more than a second or two. It should be noted that there is nowhere to put that in the app. Any customer service sort of capability is glaringly missing from the app. There is no way to communicate with anyone. It is all just information presented to you with bots that can't actually address any issue. On the positive side, when you call FedEx, they actually answer the phone in a few rings even though they can actually help you with anything. So, if you are contemplating downloading this app and you receive FedEx packages it is a must. With that said, I preferred to use shipping services that are able to keep their delivery commitments and that bring the packages to my front door. Their apps are not necessary because you can have a high degree of confidence in their service, but for FedEx you will absolutely need this app.
What is going on?
I downloaded this app because Bed Bath and Beyond appears to use FedEx exclusively to ship packages and we have a lot of problems with package theft in my neighborhood (I just had one stolen in October, but it wasn’t a FedEx delivery). We did a bunch of shopping online and I ended up with about a dozen tracking numbers.
First, I’m having incessant login problems because I changed my password online. I have an iPhone X and use Face ID, but the app continually says I’m using the wrong password. It has been updated in my phone’s passwords, and I keep logging in with my new password, but the app won’t remember the change or something. I’m not sure if this is an issue with the app itself or how it uses Face ID, but I don’t have this problem when changing passwords with other apps.
I find it tedious that I have to manually add each tracking number. I imagine some people prefer this (maybe for businesses where different people are tracking different orders?), but I have spent literally hours trying to get all of my tracking info added and figured out. Part of this isn’t this app’s fault...I can’t copy tracking numbers from the ComplaintsBoard.com app, but have to wait until the orders are processed so I can copy them from the email confirmation to paste into the FedEx app. But I keep getting logged out of the FedEx app, and have to manually add my username and password every time! Also, because I am frequently logged out, my tracked packages all disappear until I log back in. This makes it a pain to keep track throughout the day.
If I open the app, as opposed to leaving it running in the background, it does tell me it detects a tracking number in my clipboard and asks if I want to use it. That’s nice. But it doesn’t do that if I start a new search while it’s already running.
I really wish it would just detect all packages en route to my address like the UPS app does. I never have to worry about missing a tracking number like I did today, and I can sign up for notifications on all deliveries with UPS while the FedEx one requires enabling them for each package. I would at least like the option to apply these settings globally.
Also, I have to stay on “All” for tracking because the “To me” page is always blank. I can’t seem to hide delivered packages, so I have to click on each one, then click the star to add it to the watch list, so I can control what I see (and remove delivered packages). This is something the UPS app handles simply.
Additionally, my list of tracked packages shows the dates the packages will be delivered to my local FedEx facility, not to me. That took me a while to figure out as I would expect s package one day but it would be delivered the next. I finally noticed it said “by 10:00pm” on everything. When clicking on an item for more details, it shows the following day for my delivery date. So now I have to remember to mentally add a day to each item in my tracking list. Ugh.
Finally, I had to go online with my laptop to schedule an item to be held at a FedEx location because the app kept saying the service was unavailable and to try again later (this also happened when I tried to enroll in FedEx Delivery Manager, so there must be a connection (or maybe I already have it...is that what I enrolled in when I created an account? If so, just tell me that. I have no idea. I just want to manage my packages as well as possible). I can understand all of this, but the app shows no indication that I scheduled one of the packages to be held at a FedEx location tomorrow since I won’t be home (I confirmed the tracking number, but the details look the same as all of the others).
I really don’t know why this app was rated so highly. UPS has a much more user-friendly app, but I can’t control how my packages are being sent. I like FedEx, but this tracking frustration is ridiculous.

i deleted the app but each time reboot my iPhone the app's ghosted icon keeps Re appearing on my iPhone's startup desktop, ill delete it and notice the ghosted icon will again be there after i reboot my iPhone, i also noticed that when the fedex app was still installed on my phone i noticed my phone is always WARM to the Touch and noticed my data allowance for the billing period month consumption is unusually high even if i don't use my phone and there are times my phone will insist on reverting back to 4g even if i keep setting it up back to LTE, i have noticed a pattern, it seems "SOMEONE" or some "ENTITY" is using the app as a backdoor access or launching point TO Break into my phone that is why i had to delete it but it keeps re appearing as a ghosted icon each time after i reboot my iPhone, this is a warning to others, BigBro Could BE using this app as a trojan backdoor by Piggy backing on it...
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I had to leave work before noon since FedEx has such a big window from 12pm-6pm.
FedEx guy arrives in a uhaul and brings a normal package that does not require a signature. It’s not the one I left work for. He was wearing a FedEx uniform or I would assume some random person is driving a uhaul around delivering stuff.
The package I’m waiting for is adult signature required. At 5:02 I received a notification package had attempted to be delivered. There was no way possible I missed the driver. I was in the room where the front door is so I’d hear a knock or doorbell. My dog would have been barking, and lastly my motion cameras did not pick up any FedEx driver as it always does.
I call FedEx immediately they say it was NOT attempted to be delivered. Which if you look up my tracking number it still says it was attempted to be delivered. Their answer was they will have someone call me tomorrow to tell me why it was not attempted.
This isn’t the first time FedEx has failed and I’m sure it won’t be the last.

Edit: after this review they Locked my perfectly fine website account LOL keep your garbage, I’ll keep reposting my experience and these are just a handful of why many people do not choose to work with your company! Oh and I finally got that email back from support after my review posted and nothing was resolved LOL! Let’s not forget the delivery delays for absolutely no reason making the packages days past the delivery date.
Throw out the whole app. DOESNT WORK. You cannot even SIGN IN! However you can go to the website and log in with the same credentials the app tells you are wrong! YOU CANNOT RESET password through the app either but YOU CAN ON THE WEBSITE. Get it TOGETHER FEDEX! UPS has a working website and app lol REMOVE THIS APP FROM THE APP STORE IMMEDIATELY IT DOES NOT WORK. Guess what you customer service for your app does?!?!? NOTHING! Fire them too. Sent a support ticket a week ago. Auto message says 24 hours I’ll have a response. DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH OR YOU WONT BE ALIVE IF THEY EVER RESPOND. List page shows Monday as the scheduled delivery date, delivery detail page shows Sunday. Not even sure it's the app's fault as much as FedEx just having a pretty crappy system.
When they lost my last package, I had to call THEM to ask what was going on and they had no clue what to do - even asking me what it looked like lol (you're the last to handle it, and you never delivered it so how should I know?). They opened an investigation and never called me to keep me informed on the status - this item is worth ~$800 so you know, I'd like to know what happened. Eventually the status finally changed: they damaged it and sent it back to the shipper. But you have to stay on top of them for any information or status when a shipment doesn't go perfectly, they didn't seem to really give a crap. That's why there isn't any way to flag a shipment in their app to signify it's missing (obviously they had no clue), for a representative to investigate it or call you, to track investigations, etc; and that's why their 800 number is a maze to discourage you from calling/bothering them even when they screwed up.
Overall it just solidified my preference for USPS and UPS.

FedEx Terrible Experiences
I’ve had multiple bad experiences with Fedex, this week is just the latest in a history of bad service. One of my packages has had zero updates for almost a week and no one can tell me where it is.
I was also lied to when I called in for another package I’ve been expecting before I travel for the holidays. I was told the driver attempted to deliver the package and left a note. I’ve been in my living room watching football so I know that no one came to my door. I walked outside to check if there was indeed a note, as I expected, there is none to be found. It’s bad enough that I paid for faster shipping and have yet to receive it, but now I need to leave work early and go out of my way to the warehouse to pick up the package. I can understand that they missed one of the deliveries due to high volume during the holidays, but now that’s turning into three days and to do nothing to try to rectify the issue? Not acceptable. Again, this is not the first time I’ve had issues with fedex. Unfortunately, calling them leads to nothing. So I’m commenting on the app that has nothing to do with their actual service... it seems to be the only available forum to complain about their terrible service.

Nearly Unusable App
I can see tracking info on this app when I enter a tracking number. But that is as far as it goes. Any attempt to add or get further information (i.e., delivery instructions) is impossible. Attempts at logging in inevitably fail and so do attempts to reset my password. Using the email method, where I am supposed to be sent a link to reset the password are never received. I have tried this multiple time and different times of day. I have never received the expected email. No, it is not in my spam folder. The virtual assistant they offer is useless. Very frustrating. Update: I have been contact with an apology that there was a system problem which caused my issue. However, I have tried again to log in and change my password only to be disappointed again. As before, I never received the necessary email from them with a link to update my password.
Another update: Months after writing the above review and then the first update, I am now writing another update. I have seen no improvement whatsoever to any part of my complaint. This app is useless to me. And even attempts to login directly via the web site has also failed and no texts, emails, or phone calls have reached me to update my login. Terrible.

Completeled damned useless app
The app cannot be used unless you sign up for delivery manager, which you cannot do from the stupid app, it just returns an error saying it isn’t possible and directs you to fedex.com. It does not tell you where to go on the damned website, it just says to go to fedex.com, and fedex.com says NOTHING obvious about it, you have to search through the badly designed automated help system because the ridiculous phone tree to actually call does not understand anything about the app nor does it seem to give any option which does not involve entering a tracking number. When you finally does have it it does not actually do anything, it just MAILS you a code, not by email, but by SNAIL MAIL, I wanted to use this useless app to get a notification of packages coming NOW, not next week, sometime, maybe, if I actually receive the code. This is inline with other horrendous customer service experiences that I have had with Fedex in the past, or rather the complete and total lack of customer service I should say. UPS doesn’t have this problem, and setting up their app was quick and simple, what is Fedex’s damned problem?
This app is less than useless, I am deleting it and recommend anyone reading this not even bother installing it in the first place, it does literally nothing.

Unreasonable policy
I missed my package that was sent with primary overnight for two times. They sent my package to a store that I have to commute more than one hour to pick it up. So I called if they can sent it to the FedEx stores within my walking distance. They said only shipper can make this modification. So I called my bank and they think it’s FedEx’s problem.
I agree with the bank, FedEx should definitely sent the packages to the store location that is closest to the receiver. And it would be helpful that receivers of the packages can select the store they want to pick up their missed packages.
Ironically, my card sent with standard mail has arrived before the one I requested to sent again with express delivery.
And also the app shows that my package will delivered by 10:30am today so I have been waiting from 10:00, but didn’t get it when it’s 10:30. and then the tracking showed it will arrive by 12:00pm. That’s why I missed my package again. I have appointments I need to go.
I think it is very irresponsible to not deliver on time.
So to sum up
1. Please delivered on time
2. Sent missed packages to store closest to the recipient
3. Let the recipient decide which store to pickup if they missed the deliver time.

FACE-ID BROKEN - FEDEX IS USELESS
They broke Face-ID in this release. Also they stopped supporting iPads many releases ago but it is still very annoying.
THEY KEEP REPLYING WITH A CANNED RESPONSE THAT THIS FACE/TOUCH ID LOGIN PROBLEM IS NOW FIXED BUT THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I'VE RE-TESTED IT AND I ASSURE ANYONE READING THIS REVIEW THAT IT IS STILL ***NOT*** WORKING. YOU ARE FORCED TO LOG IN BY ENTERING YOUR LOGIN ID AND PASSWORD EVERY TIME YOU LAUNCH THE APP.
UPDATE: THE FACE ID LOGIN ISSUE CAN BE RESOLVED BY DELETING AND RE-INSTALLING THE APP, LOGGING IN AND ENABLING IT. I ASSUME THIS WILL DID THE TOUCH ID ALSO BUT I CANNOT TEST IT. I'M LEAVING A ONE STAR REVIEW BECAUSE SUPPORT IS NOT INCLUDING THIS INFORMATION IN THE CANNED RESPONSE AND THE APP DOES NOT UPDATE NORMALLY, YOU MUST UPDATE IT MANUALLY TO FIX THE ISSUE. PLUS THEY STILL HAVEN'T BROUGHT BACK NATIVE IPAD SUPPORT.
Historically I've preferred FedExI to the other major carriers because of their previously excellent customer service but until they fix Face-ID the app is just too much time to even use so bye for now FedEx. Also keep in mind all of your competitors still fully support the iPad with a native app, you should reinstate iPad support too.
You responded that the face ID login was a temporary problem on the servers but I just tested it again and it is still broken so once again FedEx has let me down and wasted my time.

Updated regularly, but can’t track shipments/no record of any being shipped to me?
So how is it that the they claim to update the app regularly when it doesn’t register any shipments to or from me nor can I search a tracking number, and let me see the travel history. Couldn’t send any feedback either like I have in the past. Why’d you guys take that option out? Pretty sure you guys have been essential throughout this pandemic, so certainly it was a deliberate action and you know what you did, shady or not nearly confident in the apps design if you ask me. Only real option is to call a 1 800 number and talk to a rep that doesn’t comprehend English that good, much less speak it fluently and clearly. So that’s no better than the app itself. I had to go on the website to sign up for text alerts, which I can do WITHOUT an account, sounds fimiliar, FedEx? Seems that is the only thing that works. Even in the past if I opted in for text alerts or notifications through the app, it never sends me anything. So the app is a waste of space on our phones since we can’t even manually input a tracking number and let us see the history and so on. Just says tracking request is unsuccessful, kicks me back to where the list of tracked shipments should be, shows it found my shipment, tap on it and won’t let me see the details saying again the tracking request unsuccessful. What’s that all about? You guys gotta get better developers and engineers. The apps had nothing but problems for years. That or they’ve been fixing stuff that isn’t broken. Lousy! Get it together!

Goodnight. I have received the worst shipping service of all my life, do not imagine how I regret the time I decided to use their services. On 07/18 I deposited a package to the Dominican Republic and it has not yet been delivered and none of the customer service staff has been able to solve the problem, they give me excuses after excuses and I do not want any more excuses but they have services for the Dominican Republic because they are provided, I am very disappointed and angry, the worst thing is that I do not know who to talk about that my complaint can be considered; I am content to have my package returned since I have spent too much on shipping plus time. Not Good
Wish I could say the app is helpful. The AI didn’t get me anywhere, it even said it was unable to help with redirecting a package. It took me 3 attempt to scan the barcode on my door tag to actually get it, the other times the camera would bug out (focus and than not as if the app was doing it?)
From there once it scanned the package, it told me that there were multiple packages under this number (yes that’s true). So I clicked on one of them, it had an error. Had to scan the barcode again. It told me there were multiple packages. I choose one, and it had an error. Rinse and repeat until just that one time you get lucky and it loads. Rinse and repeat until you get lucky 4 times to see all my packages.
Next I attempt to get them to be held at a nearby location. I use the AI since it’s right there. It concluded that it couldn’t help me? Which is odd, since it’s only able to do a few things? Anyways, I went through the dreadful process of scanning my barcode and going into a package again, and tried it manually. Everything was good up until I actually selected a place. Then it had an error again, and yup, you guessed it. Had to scan the barcode again, get lucky when I selected a package, enter in my address/phone/email again, and it had another error. I don’t see myself sitting here for another 40 mins so I just gave up.
It says that the packages will be here on Sunday. Whatever. I doubt it. They don’t deliver on Sunday yet as far as I’m aware. Who knows when I’ll get these packages.
Seriously, fix your app. I wish I had better experiences with Fedex, but I just don’t. Every time it’s like this. It’s like when they knock on the door they’re already walking away or they don’t even knock to begin with.

However, it forced me to sign up for Delivery Manager (not an app in and of itself, but a separate part of this same app - EXCEPT, you have to sign up for it). Apparently its impossible to shut it off. So, regardless of the fact that I’ve deleted the app, apparently I’m still going to get what I’d consider spam emails from this Delivery Manager. Hateful hateful hateful.

Absolutely RIDICULOUS! The UPS is way better than the FEDEX app, as is UPS service. Had to call them, because this dumb app wouldn’t handle even the most basic thing - inputting simple delivery instructions (door code and apartment number). Customer service guy informed me they aren’t allowed to take door or gate codes. Why doesn’t it say so in the app? That’s pretty inconvenient if you live in either a gated community or a secure apartment building. So what? I’m supposed to accept them leaving the package OUTSIDE the building? Except there’s not even a provision in the app to check a box, like UPS has - signing for the delivery in advance. My only reasonable choice was to have them deliver and hold the package at the Walgreens at the far end of the next town. I have had NOTHING BUT TROUBLE with FEDEX, and will tell everyone I know to NOT use them. And I assuredly will NEVER use them again. As a side “bonus,” because I signed up for this stupid app, I’ll bet I start getting an email box FULL of garbage, and spam emails from whomever they sell their customer base info to. The net result - all kinds of telemarketers. You seriously stink, FEDEX!
