Frustrating, crashes
Keeps saying my session is timing out, so I can't use the app at all. So frustrating!
Terrible app
Such a terrible app and terrible online check-in. Makes using this carrier so difficult and bothersome.
Can’t log in
As usual Fido app not working for me. “Your session timed out” I see for a two month. Have to log in through pc :(
Doesn't open new version
Tells me there is a newer version of the app installed. Then required me to log in again. Then it doesn't work. What newer version? I just re-downloaded this app from the App Store.
Have an iPhone 8 and it keeps crashing
Just downloaded the app and well... it keeps crashing, as in I can’t open my Fido account on it at all. Every time I type in my verification code it unexpectedly closes, I somehow doubt it’s my phone as I got it about 3 weeks ago but it’s a slight possibility I guess.
Worst than the website
This app is worse than the website! On the web you always get "oops something went wrong, we're working to resolve it". On the app, you get a blank screen. Tapping on services from the hamburger menu gets stuck in the fade animation and shows nothing (iOS 10). Status bar is black, nav is yellow. That says a lot. Transitions from one screen to another messes up navigation stack. You can go from billing to payment history to billing to payment history infinitely. You'll have to also press the back button infinitely. App is a joke.
Cannot login, requires text to let you in now
EDIT: With this last update. I am now
able to bypass the access code txt nonsense and can now login using my username/password. Thank you for resolving this! Original review: I have a mobile hot "spot and until this most recent update I used the mobile app just fine by logging in with my Fido username & password. Now then app DEMANDS that I enter my phone number so that it can txt me an access code to let me use the app. I have a number but
I don't have a phone on Fido,
I have a mobile hotspot! How am
I going to get a txt to a hotspot? I have voice service from a different carrier. Now I cannot monitor my usage at all. I regret saying yes to the update. Why would a customer who has an account and used the app for 2 years now be locked out? What an awful upgrade.
Fido Preventing Cancellation
When I finally got through to Fido to have them cancel on my last day of service, the process took forever, and the idiot on the phone lied to me about my end date. This ultimately led to him canceling my service quite a few days early today, so I’m without a plan and unable to contact anyone by phone before I leave the country. These guys are snakes just like Rogers. (I’m an electrical engineer, I know how easy it would be for them to get this right. It would have had to been negligence, or Fido would have had to have done it on purpose to cause this issue).

This is targeted at Fido, not the app specifically. I’ve been trying to discontinue my phone number for days and can’t get through to a rep via calling, chatting, or Facebook messaging. Not to mention their website states you can only call to disable your account.
I had nothing against them before, I just have to move out of the country for a few months and want to stop paying for a number in Canada. Now that they’ve wasted hours of my time and cases an incredible amount of frustrating attempting to discontinue service with them, I certainly do have something against them at this point. Not to mention I need to cancel before the next billing cycle. What if it was ending now? I would be forced to pay for another month because they won’t answer their phones or chats.
It would seem illegal that Fido is preventing cancellation. Not to mention the fact that it’s so frustrating I would never even consider using this company again when there are other equivalent companies.
I hope this is useful for someone that is searching for a new provider.
