Mid April I joined find a grave, find some family members, I started to ask for transfers, my great grandmothers birth certificate showed up. I asked for my 2nd grandfather and my grandpas sister, no responses. Asked like a total of 4 times for my 2nd grandfather even asked the guy if he was related and how, this is the response

Transfer Request
Since you very recently burst upon the scene, you immediately became a grabber, a collector.
This site is not a candy wagon spewing out candy to see how much candy a kid can stuff in their candy bag.
Memorials are not to be viewed as property, as something to OWN.

A huge number of contributors have spent an enormous amount of hours making this site the valuable resource that it is. You have not shown any inclination to add new memorials, but just to request transfers of already existing ones. Such being the case, I am declining your transfer request for Jens, your stated great great grandfather. It is beyond the relationships defined by [censored] as reasonable transfer requests. Hopefully you have read the various [censored] guidelines. For any transfer requests that you might send me in the future, I will require that you not only state your relationship to the person, but also show your relationship string which leads to that person. (I am not a memorial hog. Any memorial transferred to me has been unrequested, and I have honored approximately 1000 transfer.

I finally got my grandpas sister transferred, after I through reasonable request at him. But before he transferred, he went to each of my family members and on 4 of them he put there marriage license up, and refused to take them down. Find a grave customer service is useless, they are letting their site not about people in the graves, but to the hoarders of graves. Today I go onto my great grandfathers brother site and he died at 6. Someone posted his death certificate. Jerry H. Put the names he’s interested in, I’ve been checking them, his are nicely made by him, if find a grave does not get him to take it down, his family’s birth and marriage license will also appear on his pages. But each will be on the wrong page.

Two can play that game.

Recommendation: If you can get your family do it, get them out of the hands of the hoarders.
