deposits and overdraft
I've been with this bank for close to 4 years and every single interaction I have with someone rather it be in my local branch or over the phone I'm left feeling even more frustrated and helpless than I already was. I've cashed at least 5 checked from my 401k and each time you all want to place it on a seven day hold even tho I have cashed several of these checks with you all before. They even want to hold your bank transfers. Transferred money into my bank from my cashapp because I needed to get a rental car that day every other time I've done this my money was always available immediately, but all of a sudden they now need to hold it for 24 hours while I have 2 pending transactions into overdraft. I feel that they only held money so that they would be able to charge my account the extra fees to get more money out of me. This place is the worst can't wait to leave you all as soon as money clears. I will be posting my bad experiences with you all across all of my social media platforms.
Checking account and costumer service!!!
Unprofessional, and nothing is ever done about any complaints submitted period.
After a horrible experience, I was told that I was not allowed to shut down the account after only being opened for about an hour. So I left the minimum required amount in the account and waited out the time necessary to close it. Im finally doing it and come find out that the hit me with three fees because apparently they had returned mailed sent back to them.
I am not expecting anything less from this bank, to steal from it clients like this..
You can never get anything done and I would caution any and everyone not to use them period for I consider deceptive practices.
Now I ma on the phone with them and they are telling me that they can't do nothing about it because the account has been closed. But did not notify me at all about the deductions to my account period.
So if anyone knows who regulates them, please provide me the number or contact info so I can submit a formal complaint.
They say it takes up to three days for anyone in there corporate office to get back to you, with that said I think its evident to how many complaints others are filing if it takes 3 days to get a call. Speaks volumes..., so again if you are smart enough to be reading this prior to opening up an account with them, ruuuuuuun and save yourself the hassles. Because they won't care and will drive you nuts.

First National Bank
On July 10, 2018 My family I received a letter from a United States service.I opened the letter and it said they were sorry to hear of the death of the family member. Other
businesses received the same. I lost money I was entitled to, friends, and just plain folks, looking, acting like I was a crazy old person loosing my memory. I got it straight
but am still a lot of laughter, everywhere I go, I am greeted as, " the crazy old woman who came back from the dead. "
My bank has been through hell and back for me. Do not criticize them. They did everything they could to help me.
Social Security went through the ceiling. I lost access to all my $959.00 a month checks, even after I went to Social Security and gave them everything they needed. It still came back on me from every direction, and the bank continued on to support me, letters, phone calls., mostly my visits to them. It has gone on and on even with our own. It is my understanding that Social Security was notified on July 10, 2018 My family wasn't notified that I was dead until
early August. Some, very few of PCH supported me because of my high tokens, not keeping in mind the high number of hours that I worked 7 days a week, for months, or all the people I contacted that was only their recorded messages.
banker treated me poorly because I wanted to deposit my check as cash
On 10/27/2018 at approximately 1520 I was attempting to deposit my check as cash at the Stephenville Walmart location. I asked to deposit my check as cash and I was immediately denied being told that that is unnecessary cause she'll put a memo on it so it will be available immediately. I told her I want to keep 50 and deposit the rest as cash. She was upset, raised her voice and asked if I seriously wanted her to cash it, I said yes please because I want to keep $50 and deposit the rest as cash. So she gave me 2-$100 bills and 4-$20 bills, and said Thank You. I asked her if there was a problem with me getting $50 in cash and depositing the rest as cash into the account... to which she said no rolled her eyes and put her arms out at the cash she gave me. I kept $40, gave her back the rest and asked her to deposit it. Looking at me like I was stupid, she asked if I was sure and then deposited.
Throughout the entire process she tried convincing me that what I was asking for was stupid, that there were too many steps required in order to do it and she treated as if I was making it personally difficult for her. No matter what I said, she continued telling me why she didn't want to. She manager tried refusing to deposit my check as cash a few weeks ago, so I know that's how the girl was trained. The attitude and rude treatment was a new flare of her own that this personal banker brought to this particular experience. I left feeling horrible and frustrated. No matter how courteous and patient I was, I was treated like I was an inconvenience and extremely simple minded.
I deposited escrow check
On July 25, 2018, Wednesday, around 11:30-11:45, I deposited my escrow check to the First Convenience Bank locates at 2108 Bedford Road Wal-mart 76021. I spoke with black African woman, big hair, around 5'5, and heavy set built, I gave my check and she said it will be available tomorrow but I found around 9pm July 25, 2018, it was never deposited. The branch has a video camera installed and strong believe that the teller intend not to deposit it to my account. It should be posted it directly to my account. Enclosed a copy of letter from Alaska USA Mortgage Company. It stated that the escrow check was attached.
I am seeking assistance to resolve the matter and deposit it to make checking account and call me at([protected] as soon as possible .
Thank you for your time.

excessive overdraft fees
I've had my account with this bank for close to three years. I've never had any major hiccups until I place the overdraft protection on my account . Within the past 30 days, the bank has charged me $102 in overdraft fees. One was an error on my part, but other two are truly uncalled for. State Farm Insurance submitted a draft for the amount of $145.25 and because another charge had come in at the same time, I had $144.00 and some change. The bank charged me $34 for $1.25, instead of contacting me by phone and allowing me to just putting the money in. A similar situation happened a few days ago. On the same morning that my SS hit my account, my car payment came in as well. The bank charged me another $34. I strongly feeling that the bank is taking advantage of senior citizens and attempting to capitalize on the fact that a person has added overdraft protection to their account. I am contesting these charges.
banking/customer service
The absolute worst bank ever! Do not bank here!
These guys ruined a special day for me. Today is my last day in Chicago and wanted to pay off an engagement ring that I was going to surprise my GF with as soon as I got home to Texas. I owed a little over $2500 on the ring and have well over that in my account. As I swiped my card to pay, it kept declining. I knew I had 3 times that amount in my account so I was confused. So I called the bank and they informed me that my daily spending limit was $1500. (I understand fraud protection so this is fine) I asked them how to increase my limit to purchase the engagement ring and they told me I have to type my pin and social to the automated system. I did that and it kept transferring me to rep after rep telling me the same thing. I asked them for another way cause obviously this way was not working. They told me I have to fax my ID, account #, and to raise my limit to a certain amount for them to grant my wish. I asked them how much should I raise it to for me to be okay and they told me $3000. So I left the jewelry store, took an Uber to Fedex to send the fax, confirmed they received the fax, and took an Uber back to the jewelry store just for my card to still be declined! I am angry at this point. So I call back (for what seemed like the 6th time and a total of about 2 hours on the phone) and told them that my card was still declined. They then told me that your card was declined because your spending limit of $3, 000 was surpassed. I asked them how it was possible because I just sent the fax. They then told me that charges from several days ago just now came in today and went toward your daily spending limit. (Mind you those charges came from the down payment on the ring) So I told them why didn't they inform me and to raise the limit so I can purchase the ring and they told me I could not raise the limit for a second time. These people have literally taken access away from me for my own money. I'm now in the airport on the way back to Houston without a ring I've already paid 75% on because I don't have access to my own money. They aren't compassionate and they don't work with you. All I wanted to do was have a special moment with my future fiance. The first thing I'm doing when I get back to Texas is closing the entire account. I would not recommend this bank to anybody!

transferring funds
I was told my account allowed free transfers. Attempting to do so I learned only to accounts within your bank. My payroll card does not have check cashing abilities. I am on loa & part of my std payments are in check needing to cover a bill pay withdraw on another account while bed ridden was the time if this discovery. Please train on the specifics of your options as I was not happy to be digging up change to load on my paycard when I needed to be resting from my surgery's.
large deposit on hold for 3+ business days!
This is the last issue I will have with First National/Convenience Bank! I've had too many issues with them when it comes to withdraws, credit/debit purchases, etc. They ALWAYS take the biggest purchase out & hold on to the last ones so that you can overdraft. I've complained with them too many times about this. This last time, I sold some tickets on Ticketmaster for a concert for a colleague of mine. He actually took a loss on this, so the amount I was to receive, was less than what was paid for them. On Friday, 10/20/2017, Ticketmaster deposited the amount into my account. I check my account every morning at 7 am & the funds were there. So I wrote a check to the person I sold them for. Later that day, I checked my account again (I check my account morning & night) & noticed the funds were taken out! I figured it would be in pending status until at least Monday. Well, here it is Tuesday 10/24/2017 & I had to call them to find out what was going on with my money. They finally informed me that my money was on HOLD until I submitted my original receipt from Ticketmaster for the exact amount. Well, the original receipt is for more than that amount & it took me more than 30 minutes to finally speak to a supervisor for him to say that the original receipt will work & that I have to fax it in to the card fraud department with my account information for MY money to be released to me! I am fed up with all of the issues & trying to give them multiple chances to fix their crap! I am closing all of my accounts after I receive my money!
Customer service
Calling the customer service support line has been a bitter and unpleasant experience with this bank. The representatives are rude and annoyed with you as a customer. I simply wanted to inquire about a deposit, yet was treated as if I was calling to ask the representative personally for money. The Desoto branch in Kroger is the only reason I have stayed, when I would go to close my account their smiles and warm reception make it almost impossible. However, the phone customer service I have received mad me yet get into my vehicle and drive to close my accounts. Just horrible
csr & online/automotive system and bank ethics
I was advised by your CSR that overdraft protection would cover me in the event that my account goes negative I would not access any type of fees unless my account stayed negative for 5 days or more, no one said anything about I will also receive NSF fees as well which isn't that the point? So financially it made more sense to me to have overdraft because I'd rather pay 1 over draft fee then multiple NSF fees and overdraft fees! You are a crook! This bank is the worst bank I have EVER DELT WITH! Your online website showed my transactions POSTED and 2-4 days later all a sudden they are PENDING!? Hmmm that doesn't sound accurate in fact I will be posting all over social media and contacting Fox 4 news about this! How can a transaction go from posted back to pending! I am an intelligent woman I can read and I can count I also understand the difference between NSF and Overdraft fees I am not ignorant or uneducated when it comes to that! I am closing down my bank and how funny that when I am telling my story to friends and family they are also having this same issues! Look at my account and you will see that I RARELY go negative..that's because I can count and read what your online web tells me and your automative system! Train your CSR to advise all the truth and nothing but the truth Shame on your bank for being crooked and allowing this to continue you are deceitful and now I see what's wrong with this world you are greedy! Well I am taking several customers away from your bank and I am personally making it my mission to warn other Americans about your bank! Your supervisor Anna in Texas id# 184836 is a joke! You advise customers that there accounts will be set up for review to have these fees refunded but that's a bunch of bull! They can take care of this over the phone per your tellers I speak to at a bank branch location! Why do you not allow your employees to hold some type of power on making descions on refunding fees or not? Oh I know it's because your greedy! I want my mother [censor]ing fees refunded into my [censor]ING ACCOUNT ASAP! I also want a call from an AVP OR EVP OR VP! Fix my account now because I am on the BBB as we speak and I won't stop until you do what you say you will do!
Kept my money after the promised to return it.
I have been with this bank for about 6 years. Have had loans/ all paid back in perfect time. Made cash deposits bi monthly, occasionally deposited my payroll check. I wanted to start using mobile banking. I went to the branch manager, he said it would be best to deposit check so current record of check on file would insure no problems with mobile device. So I did.
Next day my funds were available and I started paying bills. Later that day I got an email that was of the rudest Ive ever seen. It said we have put a hold on this check because we feel because of multiple overdrafts on your account it will not be paid. we will release the hold on the 17th of January.
I made that deposit on the 5th. The letter clearly said if this is a bank error all fees and returned charges will be refunded. I called the bank that the check was written on. It cleared on the 9th. They still kept it till the 14th
charged me 4 nsfs, bounced my mortgage for another fee. Totaling $178.50
They refused to stand behind the letter, after some contest the gave me $34.00 back. Just to be clear the money was in my account, then they took it out two days later. held it for 12 days. even thou the bank paid it in two.
also there were two overdrafts on my account back in august, one was $12.00 the other $80. these were my multiple overdrafts.
not really "overdraft protection"
I have a checking account and a savings account with FCB. I specifically wanted any potential overdrafts to be paid from my savings account. They call this "linking." I thought I had made that clear from the start, but 3 years later, they charged me over $34 in overdraft fees (for a $10 overdraft!). They said that overdraft meant they would pay (in this case an auto debit) and charge me. I would never have agreed to that when I signed up. What a stupid concept.
I didn't know this was a "bad credit" bank--I just liked it at first because it was at WalMart and open better hours. I guess I will be making a trip (with my money) down to Wells Fargo or another REAL bank that can be upfront with how their processes work. My advice--get out of this mess as soon as you can!
rude, childlike behavior
On November 16th, I approached the bank counter and made a request to Justin, bank employee, to deposit funds into my account which included cash, paper checks, and a wire transfer from Western Union. Justin partially completed my request and instructed me to stand to the side of the bank counter while he completes service requests for other customers. I...
Read full review of First Convenience Bank [FCB]they took money for the declines and didn't help you to solve the problems
When I signed up for the services of First Convenience Bank, I was told that if I had any problems, the tellers from the company would help me. But when I have serious problem, the teller told me that he could help. I wanted to put fuel to my car, but my card was declined. After that the bank took $5 for the decline. I went to bank, because I wanted to know why it has been declined, but they refused to help me.
they started to steal from my account
OMG. I used the website www.1stcb.com. But after couple of weeks, I started to notice that money started to disappear from my account. WTF? I called them and sent emails, but these jerks didn’t react and didn’t return my money back. WTF? I wonder if there are people, who had the same thing. Maybe you can advise me how to stop these withdrawals. Please post your ideas and comments. Thanks.
excessive overdraft charges
I most recently suffered (Double Dipping) by First Convenience Bank. I have noticed that they will charge a $35.00 fee for pending charges only to find them picking the order when charges are posted in an attempt once again to collect fees.
For 5 transactions I was charged $245.00 in overdraft fees.
Then they change the order on the statement pages of the website so it is impossible to trace each transaction and exactly when they came in.
I look forward to joining any class action suits against this bank. My email address is [protected]@yahoo.com

Ever since my account went negative in July, I have not been able to actually enjoy a full check because of their outrageous fees. I'm very fed up with the bank taking so much money out of my already small checks! I actually have to overdraw just to take care of my bills. I'm thinking about switching to Netspend prepaid, although my new account won't take effect until the bank gets to reach their hand out and get more money for one more check.
faulty transasations
Proof upon request. I received my taxes direct deposited as usual on at a different bank. This time the Bank was First Convenience Bank in Tucson at the Wall-mart. Me and my wife filed joint return was filed together, and as soon as the check went in the account they send me a an available balance of 8009 dollars. So I went to buy my baby some diapers, clothes and paid some bills.than they sent the check back to the IRS or somewhere. The check was a government check and should be accepted at any other bank. Now, I owe 600 dollars in overdraft. I am switching bake to Chase, Bank of America and Bank Corp this has not happened there. Be carefully how first convenience bank changes hands or becomes. They said my name was not on the check when they just cash our state tax check.

everything about them
Everything about this bank sucks. More than half the time you can't even access the online banking site. It is always "under maintenance". The other day I had two accounts that weren't even mine on my online account, and then they emailed me that I apparently tried to administer an online account transfer from these accounts that were not mine. The transfers were denied so they sent me a denial email then. Also, when THEY make a mistake at Walmart and swipe your card numerous times the bank debits your card $2.00 every time Walmart's system screws up. I have disappearing and reappearing charges, leading me to believe that I have more money in my account than I actually do, so then I make a purchase, then the disappearing and reappearing money all of the sudden disappears permanently and BOOM there comes my service charge and daily fees. They also NEVER answer the phone at the local bank. They demand you call the 800 number and then you have to wait to speak with someone and then you have to wait 24 hours to SEE if a charge will drop off then when you go in to the bank, the associates claim the can't remove a service fee or charge so you have to again WAIT for a manager to come in for a fee to be removed. I have 2 accounts. One of them is for my son's SSI. For some reason when I got divorced and went to have my last name changed on my account, all of the sudden now my SON'S name is no longer on the account and they have the account all screwed up, all over a last name change. I'm going to change banks ASAP. I've had nothing but trouble, undeserved service fees, and incompetent customer service from this bank. If you can find a different bank, steer clear of this one.
Again this morning I try to log on to check my account. Of course...once again, it's not working. Go figure.
Many Hidden fees on the Free Checking Account
This is the worst bank. It is advertising free checking and it is in Walmart and Kroger. I recently moved to a very large suburb and didn't think I'd have any problems banking. First, I went to deposit a check and there was no bank branch in the neighborhood Walmart or Kroger that I went to. There wasn't even an ATM to deposit the money. I finally ended up driving to a large Walmart only to find another bank in it. I did a search on the internet last Saturday to get my deposits made as I received an overdraft notice. I went to the location but the Walmart employees had closed the store due to electrical/computer problems. I drove all the way back over there today only to be told by the teller that I have a $34 NSF even though I have overdraft protection and was charged $2.95 every day that I have been trying to make my deposit. I then called customer service and explained I to them but they refused to reduce their charges. I said to close the account and they said 'No, it will stay open for 60 days and continue charging you" This bank had no interest in stopping the bleeding and just want to run up fees on an account holder!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
You are in the minority with your glowing review. This bank rips people off little by little. Every month I notice a few dollars is missing. They are doing this to everyone, and it adds up to a great deal of money.
Look at the scam reportS on this bank. Quite a few have been filed.
What about the ones that were not filed and the person just shrugged their shoulders and put up with it?
My first stimulus check, that I didn't even know I was eligible for, was stolen by this bank. I would have never known if the IRS hadn't sent a letter about the second and third stimulus checks.
The evidence shows that the bank grabbed $1200 unlawfully. I have zero debt, zero NSF, and even I did, what law gives them the right to attach Treasury checks?
