Mixed Experiences with Ticketmaster Corp
As an expert in the category of ticketing services, I've come across a range of reviews about Ticketmaster Corp. While some customers have expressed frustration with issues like ticket transfers, refunds, and customer service, others have highlighted positive experiences attending events seamlessly. It's evident that Ticketmaster's service quality can vary, with some users facing challenges while others enjoy smooth transactions. If you decide to use Ticketmaster, it's advisable to be cautious and prepared for potential hiccups along the way.
Terrible Experience with Ticketmaster: Misleading Policies and Poor Customer Service
I had a really bad experience with Ticketmaster and I don't think I'll ever use them again. I bought tickets for a show and then I read the refund policy to make sure I understood it. I wanted to buy different tickets that opened up for better seats, but I made sure my purchase met all the requirements. Nowhere did it say my entire order had to be the same price, just the tickets had to be. And my tickets were the exact same price. But when I contacted customer service, they said they couldn't refund the tickets. Of course, you can only ask for a refund after you purchase new tickets, instead of being able to exchange them.
To make matters worse, my original purchase included parking, but my second one didn't. I figured they wouldn't refund the parking portion, so I didn't purchase it. After emailing back and forth with a customer service representative, she told me to purchase parking on the new order. So I went into the new order under my tickets and then there was a button that said "add parking" (in that order). I clicked it, thinking it would add parking to that order. But nope, apparently it makes a new confirmation number/order for the parking.
I emailed this to the lady and she said they couldn't refund it because it wasn't part of the order number. There was literally no way I could find to do what she emailed me telling me what to do. So she basically lied or misrepresented the options, got me to buy parking from them, and then told me I needed to just find someone to transfer the tickets to or resell them.
This has been a nightmare experience and I'm about to be out $360 USD because they are basically criminals who completely misrepresent their processes. I'm furious if you can't tell. Do NOT ever ever order from them. Some people really need their money back and it's a crook system to make people buy new tickets then request a refund of the old order. It's just not right.
Ticketmaster Payment Delay: Frustrating Experience and Lack of Customer Support
I recently sold some tickets on Ticketmaster for the first time and it started off great! I posted my two tickets and they sold within two days. I received an email letting me know that they sold and that I would be paid within 7-10 business days. The day I sold them was March 10, 2017. However, it is now April 13, 2017 and I still have not been paid! I am so frustrated and have sent MANY emails and made phone calls, but the reps seem to lack knowledge and take days to respond to emails.
I'll give you the quick story of what they told me. First, under my account "payment options", I had both a "buy" and "sell" option. I set up my sell card option as the same card I used to buy, which was a big mistake. However, they do not tell you on the site to not use the same credit card for both. This caused a 10 day delay. So, I added a different card under "sell" and was told that this would correct the problem. Another 10 days later, still no money and my answer was "it didn't work for some reason". So, at this point I was told to add my checking account, wait 5 days to verify two small deposits, which I did on April 5, 2017. I was told that day that NOW the process would restart and I would get my money within 5-7 business days.
However, on April 12, 2017, I received another email saying that my CLAWBACK card, which is my credit card stored under "PAY", was not verified and that is why it was not working! So, I updated it to yet another credit card. When will I finally get paid?! I have no idea who can help me and why they do not care that I have not been paid for over a month now. At this point, I am out my tickets, the $315 that I spent on them, and Ticketmaster has been paid twice sitting there with all that money... All the while, not paying me what is due to me!
Please Ticketmaster, give me my money! It's been a frustrating experience and I hope that they can resolve this issue soon.

Ticketmaster's Glitchy System and Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with Ticketmaster. I was trying to buy a ticket for this event and when I went to select my seat, there was only one option available in section 306. I tried everything I could think of to get a different seat, but no matter what I did, it only let me choose that one. So I went ahead and bought it, but then I logged back on right away and suddenly there were like 50-75 different seats to choose from, including the one I actually wanted. I was pretty frustrated, so I reached out to Ticketmaster to see if they could help me out. But they basically just told me tough luck and refused to even look into the issue. I asked if I could get a refund or at least a credit since it was clearly a glitch in their system, but they said no way. They wouldn't even try to help me out.
I'm a nurse, and I've been working with COVID patients for over a year now. It's been really tough, and I was really looking forward to this event as a way to treat myself after all the hard work I've been doing. But Ticketmaster just didn't care. They didn't care that their system had a glitch, they didn't care that I was a loyal customer, and they didn't care that I was a healthcare worker who deserved a break. They just cared about the money.
I even tried to work with PayPal to see if they could help me out, but they couldn't do anything either. Ticketmaster's agreement apparently says that sections may vary from time to time, so they were off the hook. But that's just not right. There was clearly a glitch in their system, and they should have done something to make it right.
I really think Ticketmaster needs to be investigated for stuff like this. It's not fair to their customers, and it's not right that they can just get away with treating people like this. I would have been happy with a credit, but they didn't even try to help me out. I think they do this stuff on purpose sometimes, just to get people in situations like mine. And it's not right.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience with Ticketmaster. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, and I'll definitely be looking for other options in the future.
The TICKETMASTER Monopoly: A Frustrating Experience for Fans and a Message to Entertainers and Promoters
I'm one of those people who just can't stand the thought of being forced to use TICKETMASTER to attend an event. I'm a huge fan of Rufus du Sol, an up and coming band, and they're scheduled to perform in my hometown of Chicago this May. The tickets are priced reasonably at $47.50, but I'm forced to buy them through TICKETMASTER, the licensed scalper monopoly. And that's where the trouble begins.
The additional fees, including service fees, handling fees, and taxes, bring the ticket price to over $80, which is about $33 more than the original price. It's frustrating to have to pay so much extra just to see a band I love. I've even considered driving to Indianapolis to see them, where the tickets are sold through Eventbrite and the service fees total only $7.50. Of course, it wouldn't be cheaper after having to drive six hours, pay for gas and lodging, but at least I wouldn't be giving my hard-earned money to TICKETMASTER and making them richer.
I refuse to do that, even if it means missing out on seeing Rufus du Sol. I'll just have to wait until they come back to Chicago with a different booking agent who won't rip me off. Sorry, Rufus du Sol, I love your music, but I have to stand by my principles. If you're not selling enough tickets, it might not be because you don't have a strong fan base, but because you have a bad ticketing agent.
The only way entertainers and promoters, in this case, LIVENATION, will get the message that they're losing ticket sales is through messages like this from fans who refuse to be subjugated by the TICKETMASTER monopoly. I've missed out on concerts before because of the TICKETMASTER TOLL, and I'm tired of it. Consumers need to band together and boycott the TICKETMASTER MONOPOLY SCALPER TOLL.
It's high time to LIBERATE the consumer and the entertainers from TICKETMASTER. They've had a monopoly for far too long, and it's time for a change.
Ticketmaster's Lack of Customer Service and Stipulations on Insurance - A Disappointing Experience
I recently bought tickets for a concert in Las Vegas through Ticketmaster earlier this month. I tried to reach out to them for assistance, but unfortunately, there was no way to speak to a "LIVE PERSON." They suggested that I use their app to contact them, so I sent an email to them. However, they declined my refund within seconds of my email, stating that the time limit had passed. I was confused as the date of my tickets was at the end of August, and it is only July 28th. They suggested that I sell them online, but unfortunately, that was not an option for this event. Moreover, transferring the tickets was not possible as I live out of state of the venue.
I have proof that my canceling was not of my own doing as I have recently been diagnosed with a condition that gives me extenuating circumstances. I would have loved to see the concert, but it seems like the pandemic has resurfaced like the beginning of last year. My Doctor said it's too risky to travel right now with the new variants and my medical condition, regardless of me already being vaccinated. I was able to cancel my tickets at all other venues with no problem.
I would like to give a shout out to Vegas.com as they were truly a pleasure to work with. I trust them entirely as they understood my situation, and it was no problem to request a refund given the circumstances. I recommend Vegas.com for tickets to tours or shows 100%. They are trustworthy.
On the other hand, Ticketmaster was a disappointment. I purchased the insurance from them due to the $380 price tag of my tickets to be safe for other tickets as they suggested. However, there are so many stipulations that I found out after purchasing that I do not recommend buying insurance for events or tours through Ticketmaster. It seems to be a waste of money. Shame on them for being so inconsiderate. They have no customer service, and buyers should beware. There is no human contact, and everything is strictly automated, unlike others who have offered either live service or automated help.
Ticketmaster's Error Ruined Our Night: A Terrible Experience
I recently bought tickets for Jerry Seinfeld's show at The Reno Event Center on June 6, 2019, through Ticketmaster's website. It was a birthday present for my husband, and we were both excited to attend the event. As the date of the show approached, I received a few emails from Ticketmaster with information about the event, which was helpful.
However, on the day of the show, Saturday, October 9, 2019, things took a turn for the worse. I tried to download the tickets to my phone, but every time I clicked on the link, I got an error message saying that I had no upcoming events at that time. I tried several times, but nothing worked. When we arrived at the venue, we went to the box office with our order number, but the staff there told us that the number was not a Ticketmaster number. They checked the seat numbers and told us that the tickets were in someone else's name. I was shocked and confused. I asked them if they could check to see if someone was sitting in those seats, but they refused to do so. We were devastated and didn't know what to do.
I tried to call Ticketmaster's customer service, but they were closed. I felt so upset and frustrated that I started to cry. The employees at the box office were sympathetic and tried to help us, but they couldn't do much. They even took my phone to try to download the tickets, but they were unsuccessful. We had no choice but to leave the venue without seeing the show.
The next day, I called Ticketmaster's customer service to get a refund. They told me that I had purchased resale tickets from someone else who was selling their tickets on the Ticketmaster website. I had no idea that this was possible, and I was totally confused. After a long conversation with the customer service representative, I learned that the name on the original tickets was not transferred into my name by Ticketmaster. They said that an investigation would have to be done, and they would contact me with the results.
I called Ticketmaster once a week for three weeks, but I didn't get any answer about my refund. I was getting more and more frustrated and upset. Finally, on Thursday, November 14, 2019, I called again and was told that I would not be receiving a refund. I couldn't believe it. My husband and I are below the poverty level, and I had to sell some of my dead mother's jewelry to be able to buy these tickets for him. I paid $438.84 for a service that we didn't get, and it was not our fault. It was a Ticketmaster error, yet we were being punished for it.
Overall, my experience with Ticketmaster was terrible. I felt like they didn't care about their customers and were only interested in making money. I would not recommend using their website to buy tickets, and I will never use it again. It was a waste of time, money, and energy.
Ticketmaster Refund Delay: Unresolved Issue for Depeche Mode Tickets
I recently purchased tickets for Depeche Mode on Ticketmaster about 5 and a half weeks ago. I selected standing tickets, but when I went to checkout, they had changed to seated tickets. Luckily, a second concert became available, so I sold the seated tickets on Ticketmaster and bought standing tickets for the second event. I received a notification almost immediately that the tickets had been sold and that the money would be refunded to my account as soon as possible.
However, after waiting for over 2 weeks, I still had not received the refund. I sent an email to Ticketmaster asking if there was any additional information needed or if there was any confusion. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response.
After waiting for another week, I sent another message through the website. This time, I received a response asking me to upload certain documents to my Ticketmaster profile, including a photo of my ID and a bank statement. However, I could not find a way to upload these documents securely on the Ticketmaster website. Additionally, my friends who also purchased tickets for the same event received their refunds the next day without any issues.
I believe there must be some mistake, as I purchased two sets of tickets within half an hour, and one set was sold to someone else within minutes. I would expect Ticketmaster to be able to refund the fees I paid to the same IBAN number I used to make the payment, just like they did for other customers.
I responded to their request for documents, but I did not receive any further response. I also tried to contact them through their Facebook and Twitter pages, but I did not receive any response there either.
Therefore, I am writing this review in hopes of resolving this issue. I simply want my money back!
Disappointing Experience at Janet Jackson Concert Due to Ticketing Issues
I went to see Janet Jackson at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore on May 13th with my cousin. We bought our tickets in advance through Ticketmaster and picked out our seats. However, when we got to the arena, our tickets said "restricted" and we were told to go to the box office. We were not the only ones with this issue, as over 100 people were in line with us. We missed the opening act, Ludacris, and had to wait 33 minutes in line at the box office. Only 3 out of 10 windows were open, causing frustration and even a fight. When we finally got our tickets printed, our seats were moved to the other side of the arena, even though the section we were supposed to sit in was not restricted. We missed part of the show that we paid for and did not receive an apology or refund. I am not sure if this was Ticketmaster or CFG Bank Arena's fault, but I expected to see a full show since I paid for it. I even tried to reach out to the arena and Ticketmaster on social media, but my comment was taken down and I have not received any acknowledgement of the issue. It was a disappointing experience and I hope that this does not happen to anyone else in the future.
Ticketmaster.com: Suggestions for Improvements and a Request for Help
So, it was last Thursday, March 15th, and I was trying to find tickets for the NY Knick vs. Bulls game. After some searching, I found them for the following Monday. I was ready to purchase these tickets, but I accidentally bought the wrong ones. I ended up buying tickets for the Knicks vs. 76ers game, which was being played that evening. I didn't realize my mistake until after I clicked the purchase button. This was my first time using ticketmaster.com, and I was immediately trying to figure out how to get a refund because I had just spent $822US on the wrong tickets.
I called Ticketmaster, and they told me that they couldn't do anything because it was too close to the event (only 4 hours away). They suggested that I try to resell the tickets, but I quickly found out that I needed a US bank account to do so. Unfortunately, I was out of luck. My first suggestion/complaint is that if you're a first-time user on this ticketing website, make sure to double and triple check that you're ordering the right venue. If you make a mistake like I did, you won't be able to get a refund if the event is only a few hours away.
Ticketmaster's website says that you can get a refund within 72 hours of your purchase, but if you read on, you'll see that you can't refund or exchange tickets for events that are less than 7 days away. Also, you can't get a refund on resale tickets. My second suggestion is that Ticketmaster should have a review your order prompt prior to the final order. If I had seen this prompt, I probably would have caught my mistake. However, as a first-time user, I was more focused on entering my new credit card information and address.
My third suggestion is that the website should detect if the address you entered is outside the US and prompt you with a warning that you must have a US bank account to resell these tickets. Finally, always review your order because if the event is too close, you won't be able to get a refund.
Now, because of this mistake, I'm out $1,164.24CAD! I couldn't see the game, couldn't resell the tickets, and I can't afford to see the game I actually wanted to see this Monday. If someone from Ticketmaster.com is reading this, I believe the right thing to do would be to get me a set of tickets for this Monday's game. You can reach me at ***@eastlink.ca. If your company wants to make things right, this would be a great way to do it.
Terrible Experience with Ticketmaster Customer Service: Glitches, Refund Denials, and Long Wait Times
Ticketmaster is the worst site to buy tickets from, and their customer service is even worse. I tried to purchase three tickets on May 25, 2022, but the site glitched and only gave me one ticket at the price of all three. I called my card company to cancel the charge, but they couldn't. I had to call Ticketmaster customer support, but it was difficult to get through. After 34 tries, I finally got through. The representative told me that they would put in a request for a refund or to speak with a supervisor. I was told that the waiting period for a call back is 24 hours, but the next day, I was told it's actually 24-48 hours. I waited through the weekend and called back on Tuesday, May 31. I recorded my phone calls with them. The representative told me that my refund request was denied, but no comments were left on my account explaining why. She put in a request for me to speak with a supervisor and told me to wait 24 hours for a callback. I called back on June 1st and was told that the actual wait period is 24-48 hours. The representative was nice and tried to get me in contact with a supervisor, but Ticketmaster makes it impossible for both the customer and representative to get in contact with a supervisor. I waited on hold for 20 minutes, and when she returned, she told me that they told her I need to wait for yet another 24-72 hours for a callback. If I don't receive a call by June 4th, then I need to call back. I will not back down until I receive a refund for Ticketmaster's terrible service. Almost every person I know that has used Ticketmaster has had a bad experience. I nor my friends/family will ever use Ticketmaster again. Tickets to events are not cheap, and you would think that Ticketmaster would be considerate of others' valuable earnings being that it is so expensive. At this point, it's seeming like they are telling me different times thinking that I won't call back, but I will.

Cancelled event
I had purchased tickets to an event that was 4 hours away from my home. When I got to the event, it was canceled. NO notification was provided by ticketmaster. They say that they sent emails but could not provide proof. They refused to have me speak with management after asking several times. They could have notified me so I didn't pay for a hotel, gas and...

They sent me an electronic ticket for 1 session
3 souvenir tickets for 3 sessions
I contacted them to complain and ask that they change the tickets to electronic
The reason being was that electronic tickets can be transferred but souvenir tickets cannot
I am 70 yrs old and spent $1800 on these tickets
I wanted to be able to transfer the ticket if I was unable to attend
They told me that this was not possible
I would not have purchased them if I knew this was the case
As it stood I was sick and could not attend the final session
When I tried to get a refund they told me it was too late after the event
I lost $549 due to this
They have shut down all my attempts to make contact
This is a dreadful way to treat a loyal customer

I went on Ticketmaster to purchase tickets to Journey at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY.
Journey was on the headline and select seats were on right side of page. When I was choosing seats I clicked best available. I picked my seats and checked out only to find the page had somehow switched to Trans Siberian Orchestra. The guy on the phone said I can't have refunds nor resell.
I would like this resolved because I feel it is Ticketmaster's fault for the page switch.
Claimed loss: $205.40
Desired outcome: Please refund

incorrect order
I was trying to buy tickets for Journey concert and when I was choosing seats it somehow switched to trans siberian orchestra. The guy on phone was not helpful. Order # 2-43226/NY1. The event place also says I cannot resell them. I would like to exchange these tickets.
I got an email that important info was missing. I am not sure what you need. When I was getting ready to buy tickets to Journey which is in February at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester NY, I had Journey along the top of the page with the choose your seat along the right side of screen. I went to best available seats and chose the ones I wanted. Hurried to pay before the time ran out and did not notice it somehow switched to trans siberian orchestra.
Desired outcome: I want to exchange TSO tickets to Journey in Rochester NY in February (good seats) or a refund so I can buy the tickets to Journey.
Changed seats
On Sept 15 2023 I bought tickets to TSO at the Mid America center in council Bluffs Iowa. A TSO Presale price of $49.50 per seat. Sections 211 row G. I went back a few hours later and bought 4 more tickets, Standard Admission, same row G in Section 211. These tickets were for my four grand children who I was finally able to get together so we cloud all go. I was informed on 11/8/2023:
Unfortunately, we need to move you to a new spot at your upcoming event because the seats you ordered are no longer available due to an issue with the seating arrangement for this event. We found new seats we hope you'll like just as much!
New seats, Section 213, Row U, Seat(s) S 17-S 18
I read Ticketmaster's policy n such changes. It stated that the seats you change folks to would be comparable. Row U is not comparable to row G. It's 3 rows from the ceiling. This reeks of a scam by Ticketmaster to sell seats it could not have sold at any price. Order # 37-15980/CH3 and 37-17147/CH3.
Desired outcome: Better seats before the concert. If forced to sit in Sec 213 row 2, refund of all monies paid to Ticketmaster.
Ticketmaster Resale
i’ve waited over 21 days for this to be resolved.
i resold 4 tickets and i’m waiting for my money they keep emailing me saying it’s “failed” to enter my bank account and when i ask for a reason they just say wait 5-7 days and i’ve waited 3 times now and i asked for my money they said i’m “not in the uk” even though my address is in the uk and my bank is in the uk! now they deleted all our chats!
Desired outcome: pay me my money!
Live Nation Lounge
10/19/23 I ordered tickets for the Live Nation Lounge for Friday 10/20/23 For a Lee Brice concert. The tickets received said Thursday 10/19/23 on them for Lee Brice, at the correct location though. I didn't realize Live Nation Lounge tickets were even available for Thursday and we are not going Thursday, our concert tickets are for Friday. I called them immediately and they said oops sorry. No refunds, sales or exchanges. I said i just needed them changed to Friday. It was reiterated to me several times that I could only buy a whole new set of Live lounge tickets but would not get a refund on the incorrect ones. The customer service was awful, they are just trained to repeatedly tell you to sell the tickets or buy more, even though these tickets come up as "unable to be sold" in there portal.
Desired outcome: Refund of the Live Nation Lounge tickets
Payout from tickets sold through Ticketmaster 35 plus days and I still haven't received as of yet
I sold 4 tickets through Ticketmaster, my listings sold on August 26 and the 27, I had two listings. Now we are into October and I am still waiting for my payment. I spoke to numerous agents, all of which the information was they provided was limited because they were contradictive of the information they provided. I changed my banking information as they requested, but my information stayed the same, but still no payment. I am absolutely frustrated, I just want my money. this delay is complete BS, just give me my money.
Desired outcome: pay me my money asap

• One Reserved ticket in the first 20 rows (distributed day of show).
• Def Leppard merch (exclusive to VIP packages).
• Crowd-free merch shopping opportunity.
• Commemorative Def Leppard meet & greet laminate.
• VIP entrance.
• On-site VIP Host
We were asked to leave the VIP area of meet and greet as we were told we were Not VIP … very rude and would not explain what we had purchased then since we had details in front of him .. very frustrating paying for something you think you have and are ready to enjoy the experience and rudely be escorted out! Not worth paying for this when I could have got a regular ticket!

Ticket Purchase and Venue Change
I purchased 3 tickets on presale for the Psychotherapy Sessions 2023 Mudvayne tour. We paid $275 dollars for upfront specific seat tickets. The venue changed to a smaller venue and the tickets were honored as General Admission which were $100. The seat was no longer reserved. I contacted Ticketmaster to get the balance of the tickets and they would only offer a full refund. By the time I got that information the venue was sold out so I could not even purchase new tickets and get a refund for the others. They did not offer a partial refund. We had to arrive two and a half hours early to get seats that we already had paid for because all seats were general admission.
Desired outcome: I would like the difference of balance of the difference between presale tickets and the general admission tickets because we did not get what we paid for.
Purchasing tickets on Ticketmaster.
Well, we wanted to attend a concert in Modesto on Saturday 8/19 but when attempting to purchase tickets via the Ticket Master (TM) app or the web site we were unable to do so.
We have been TM users for many years and have never before encountered the problem we had today. After going to the venue map, selecting 2 seats/tickets, filling out all the credit card info and insurance options (declined) than hit the Purchase button, the message on verifying spins and then returns a “U0001” code, “unexpected error”, and advises to try back later (which we did). When you look up the error code on Google it implies this error is due to the TM web site being “over whelmed” and TM has to fix their system.
TM has no support number to talk to a human. The chat option is a robot. We did call what we thought was the venue’s ticket box office only to find the venue does not sell directly and that this number turned out to be a ticket broker adding service fees on top of the TM fees. When I called the administrator office at the venue they recommended to only buy tickets from TM and not use a broker.
We repeatedly and earnestly tried to buy tickets via TM over several hours today. Both my account and also my wife’s TM account got locked claiming we had “reset” our browser too many times (likely) and are now blocked (until an unspecified time) and can’t do much of anything. We did submit a form to TM only to get an automated response that someone may get back in the next 24-48 hours…..
The seats listed as available on TM were section 103 Row A, seats 3 and 4 listed at $78 each. We were shocked these were available at such a late date being front row even if stage left of center. With fees the total would have been $186. Clicked on the seats and the failure/errors ensued.
The broker we called (accidentally) claimed they could offer those same exact seats but for $280 for both (when my wife called). I later called the same number and they still claimed to have those seats but at $119 each and with fees for $270. Never had thought to use StubHub and when I searched there they also listed 2 seats available in 103/row A but did not provide seat numbers. They listed at $117 each but I did not go further to see what type of fees they would assess.
Certainly something “fishy” going on when 3 different ticket platforms can offer the same exact pair of seats…..
Ticket Master needs to be investigated and if possible fined for their practices of misleading clients and being in a conspiracy with these brokers.
Desired outcome: Ticket Master needs to be investigated at a federal level as individual state Attorney Generals will not be enough.
Ticket resale/customer support
I resold a VIOP ticket for Guns N Roses that I had bought on Ticketmaster. My ticket sold on July 24th 2023. The next day, I received an email asking me to add my bank account and start the verification process so that I could be paid. Ticketmaster claimed that the payment process would take from 5 to 7 business days. I also received an email alerting me that the credit card recorded on my file wasn't functional anymore. So on July 25th I contacted Ticketmaster's customer support via the app asking if I needed to add a new credit card in order to receive my payment. The agent didn't answer my question specifically. I asked the question again and the second agent told me that only my bank account needed to be verified since this is how I would receive my payment! On July 28th 2023, I was able to verify my bank account so I waited a couple of days but still no payment. Then I received an email saying that my bank account needed to be verified so I sent a screenshot proving that my account had been verified as a reply. The next agent replied as if he didn't even read the message that I had sent. After about a week and a half of back messaging back and forth, one agent told me that I needed to add a credit card in case the would be canceled or postponed! I was furious since it was the very first question that I had asked. I then called the helpline on August 6th; the agent told me that if I would just wait after the event had passed, I wouldn't need to add and verify my credit card which I did! He mentioned that I should receive my payment between 24 to 48 hours after the event. As usual, I followed Ticketmaster's exact instructions... STILL NO MONEY. The show took place on August 8th; it wasn't postponed or cancelled, but guess what?! STILL NO MONEY! I called customer support once again yesterday (August 14th 2023), the agent told me that the money should be in my account at the latest August 21st 2023. Will it be there? I am doubtful. Even if it is, it is way more than 5 to 7 business days as they promised. It is unfair that I am being penalized and kept waiting because of their incompetent staff!
Desired outcome: I WANT MY MONEY AND HOPEFULLY A COMPENSATION FOR ALL THE TROUBLE.
VIP experience Pantera
I bought a silver VIP package to Pantera at the Budweiser stage in Toronto. Total $872
I did not realize there was no meet & greet on this package… fine that was on me for not reading properly.
However, when we got to the venue we were on time for the scheduled VIP per the email that was sent to me. We were set aside in a line with about 10 other people and were given a lanyard & a little goodie bag (with some small patches & a t-shirt). We were told we would be escorted in before the rest of the crowd only to be ushered in with everyone else. No early entry. No crowd free merchandise opportunity as advertised.
The people sat beside us paid a 3rd of the price face value for their tickets through Ticketmaster.
Almost $600 for a t-shirt and 3 small patches. This is robbery.
We went to fan services immediately at the venue but they told us to lodge a complaint and call Ticketmaster.
Desired outcome: I would like a partial refund.
Can't purchase tickets for a show on 10/21/23
Trying to purchase tickets for a show at Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA. Show is 10/21/23 for The Bat Show Meatloaf. Tickets are available and wanted to purcahse 3 tickets in Sect LCTR Row 3 Seats 20,21,and 22. An error message keeps coming up. Code 5005. I called my credit card and no problem. I called the actual box office and no problem. They do not sell tickets thru the box office therefore I have to go through ticketmaster. It will not let my order go through. I tried different credit cards and also different seat purchases and still get the same message.
Desired outcome: I'd like to purchase these tickets before they are no longer available
Missed the verified fan sign up due to lack of social media and ticketmaster notifications
I was excited to discover that Taylor Swift was touring in the US again, and wanted to purchase tickets. For the second time, I am not a verified fan. I don't have social media because my parents don't allow it, and Ticketmaster did not notify me via email or a phone notification. It's super upsetting that I cannot get access to tickets that aren't thousands of dollars. Ticketmaster won't even allow me to get on the waitlist. I've wanted to go see Taylor Swift in concert since the Reputation tour, and still cannot manage to do the legwork to get any tickets. I give up. Ticketmaster insists on being complicated, and I cannot constantly hover over a screen waiting to see if I have to sign up for something. Somehow tickets are still going for thousands of dollars on Stubhub and Vivid, so they didn't seem to do a very good job of keeping the tickets away from the bots. If they would at least allow those of us who miss the sign up to get on the waitlist that would be great. BUT NO! Don't bother giving ticketmaster your money, they refuse to do things like requiring a deposit that will only be refunded after you actually go to the concert or requiring that tickets be returned to them and then resold for the original price. They insist on making things complicated.
Desired outcome: I would like access to the Ticket sale, but an apology would be nice.
Concert tickets
I bought ticket to Govt Mule August 2,2023 concert at Pine Knob, Clarkston, MI on March 11,2023, right after they became available. I purchased a seat 4 rows from the stage. The day before the concert Ticketmaster changed my seat to the next to last row in the arena and at some point had raised the prices for all the close up seats, so this way they resold my ticket for 3 times the amount I paid.
Desired outcome: Full refund, I did not go
Customer service extortion
My son purchased tickets in March for a show on 7/15, some how between March and 7/14 Ticketmaster lost the tickets.. It shows them being purchased but some how there are no tickets..
we called customer service on 7/14 and we were told the only way to resolve the missing tickets was to purchase new tickets and they would be able to apply the new purchase and then refund the cost.
The customer service rep knew the show was on 7/15, we told him and it was listed on the ticket info.
After buying the new tickets the CSR put us on hold then came back on with us and told us that he wouldn’t be able to have the tickets available to us for 48 hours which was past the date of the show.
To fix that he said we needed to purchase a 3rd set of tickets so he could activate them right away and if we did that we would get the $540 we had already spent.
We told him we didn’t have the money to buy more tickets and we were then told we needed to find the money so we could get the tickets.
I told him it was his screw up, he knew the show was 7/15 and should have done things right on his end instead of extorting more money from us to fix his mistake.
He refused to take responsibility and then said we should have purchased insurance.
I requested to speak with his supervisor and was told that wasn’t possible.. I asked if he was refusing to transfer me and he said yes he was refusing to transfer me.
He then said again we needed to spend more money or he would hang up.. we again told him we couldn’t buy more tickets and refused to buy more tickets at which point he hung up.
Desired outcome: I expect a full refund of the $540 that was spent on this whole nightmare ordeal.
