First Gulf Bank [FGB] collections department

I received a call from this number [protected]), constantly harassing me over the fact that my brother was late on one payment. Amer, the guy on the phone had the nerve to ask me why I wasn't giving my brother the money to make the payment.
I told him that I would take to my brother. But this seems to not be enough. He kept on calling me and I told him to stop. He kept on disturbing me at work the whole day. I repeatedly asked him to stop harassing me. He asked me whom I preferred him to harass. He then threatened to send people to my aunt's place in Sri Lanka to harass her.
I told him to stop or I will report the number to the police. That did not deter him. Until I just now answered the phone and screamed at him "AAAAAAAHHHHHH!"...

I am not the person in the wrong. Why am I the one being harassed? This man seems determined to harass you no reason. Why does FGB hire these thugs?
Why collections department calling me all the way from remote Fujairah? Does that makes it easy for the cowards to call threaten & harass us?
According to my brother, he has already paid them. Even many times over in interest as well and yet they still want more. I suppose no one is telling their collections department that part or maybe they just don't care. Its all in a day's fun I suppose.
I sincerely hope that someone in FGB senior management sees this. Stop Harassing Innocent people and then maybe you'd have my respect back.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] balance transfer request

Hii

My name is sharon iam one your coustmer . 3 year ism using your credit card and always i face some issues from your bank side especially the costumer service department.

Last thursday 19 October i called your callcenter for a balance transfer of Aed1800 to my ADCB card as per the tele conversation your staff informed me that the intrest rate will be .33% for 2 years emi and 3% processing fee as a coustomer i agreed and ididnt request any kind of discount and i agrred the charges. Today i recive call from your bank again and your staff informe me that .33% is not possible to provide beacause your bank dnt have that much profit they will charge me .69%. as a coustomer I should more money to save the bank or bank should help to the customer to save his money. I need a proper solution for this issues. This is the second time iam getting the last minute changes polcy from your bank.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] unethical behavior and threaten the innocent people

I worked with a guy X 5 years ago and 4.5 years ago i joined with another organization and i do not have any contact with X in the last 4.5 hours.

On 15th October 2017 @ 9:32 a fgb staff called me from # [protected] and asked about him. I clearly told him that i changed my employment and do not have any contact with him. But fgb staff threatened and tortured me that i am his reference and he forced me to call him. Actually ordered me to call him straight away. I told to fgb staff to proceed with legal procedures and not to disturb me. Then he cut the call. Again @ 9.42 some one in the name of Raj called me and spoke in my mother language tamil and threatened me in the same way. They were very rude, unethical and harrasing. I am really disappointed of this issue and planning to contact the honorable Dubai police and Central bank for take appropriate action against this kind of behaviours, if fgb does not respond my post.

without my knowledge my credit card has been used by the unknown persons on yesterday. Today morning I blocked my credit card via phone. Could you able to stop the payment and refund the same to my account.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] complaining about collection department

I am facing a rude unexperienced issue with the employee. After many calls to make a settlement plan for my credit cards due to an unforeseen family financial issues as I mentioned before, and many correspondences but I only receive a rude and unrespectable behavior with lack of experience dealing with such cases, I have several debt accounts that I am attempting to settle as well. Unfortunately, I have a limited amount of funds to manage my situation, I have successfully already reached two mutually agreeable settlements with other creditors, which were sympathetic and understanding to my situation for the mutual benefits. I have not had the means to be unable to pay but
Because my finances are in such bad shape, I am asking that my credit cards to be closed. I would like the interest charges, both accrued and future, be waived and a plan for monthly payments considered for the rest of the debt. I can pay AED 1500 every month to repay the due amount. I hope we can agree on a monthly payment that is suitable for both of us. I hope that we can agree on terms that will allow me to close this account and avoid bankruptcy because this is my best effort to repay you part of the balance owed.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] credit card

Fgb really got into my nerves. Their never ending scam and opportunistic scheme on credit card charges are to the highest level. With the consolation of the unreliable customer service. They continue to charge me after i have paid all the amount due. How come is that after paying everything u still receive an unpaid bill? What a scheme isnt it? Its a great opportunity for them to get the hard earned money from a small time individual like me in just an instant. Good money for them huh?
Plus, they have a customer service that serves no purpose at all. As a customer u have the right to be informed right? If the customer is not able to call, they should be the one calling us, besides its their job. As a customer its tiring and confusing to press so many options before talking to their CSR.
So pls, think before signing up for them. Fgb u are my first credit card ever, and because of what happened, i lose trust in all. Such an opportunistic company!

Its not gonna end, the charging of this bank to my fully paid account. They charged me 21 dirhams, now they are telling me that if i dont pay it it will be 275 dirhams. Can u imagine that? What in the world is that kind of interest? Its totally usurious. Haram. They really tend their customers to be indebted forever. They will totally misled you, and not inform you of everything so they can get your money money money. I told them to close it already but i guess they will want more crom you. Nice job fgb.. But be careful with karma!

On 5th of march 2017 I decided to close my FGB account, I didn't have any loans and credit cards from the Bank. I went to FGB to Al Qassimiya branch in Sharjah, I requested for closing, the lady who was assisting me gave me the form, I felt and sign, she said halas, u can take the rest balans, I said I will spend in nearest market. That's all, I finished this procedure. After 1 month I start to receive statement, as I didn't close my accountc till know, and it's showing minus amount right now, I left the UAE, I am after baby delivery, I am not planning to go back to country, but any way I don't want to have any pendings. I wrote to the bank, they replied but still didn't solve this problem. This issue is not my mistake, this is unprofessional from bank side, I used to have other accounts or credit cards from other banks and never met this kind of issues. Hope my complain will rich the management and will solve as soon as possible. I can not rich even though call center, kindly try to contact me +[protected]

First Gulf Bank [FGB] credit card billed finance charges

Unnecessary Interest was being charged in my credit card bill every month from Jan 2017. Whenever I called to customer care to know why interest was charged.. every month they try to give some reason like you didn't pay the bill, amount was short paid etc etc when I told them to check my statement then they used to accept that it is wrongly charged and used to reverse.
It kept repeating on all the months. Then over representative told it's technical error so kindly call us after getting bill every month we will reverse it.
Now they came up with one reason saying as you are doing money transfer. Infact as per my credit card benefits I'm eligible to do free money transfer twice in a calendar month provided if I spend aed 500. And now they are saying even if that money transfer is not due you need to pay it before your last bill due date. Example my bill date is 28th of Aug. On 10th of SEP month if I'm doing money transfer, it will be due only as per next statement which will be generated on 28th of SEP. However they say to pay money transfer amount before 18th of sep which is my due date. Today one of their representative today they won't reverse the interest charged in sep 28th bill. And he closed my complaint ref no also.
Unnecessarily charged interest since Jan 2017 and reversed such interest if and only if it is questioned. And now demanding to pay amount even if it is not due yet.
Wrote many mails no response. Is there anybody in FGB who can provide justice to me.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] credit shield

I am Rajeesh, and I am unluckily a customer of FGB credit card. The sweet offers and cautious messages from the customer care executive compelled me to register further for credit shield that gives an insurance to the customer and family in case of death or termination from job.

Everything was fine until i lose my job in Mar 2017, I informed the customer service by phone and the first thing they did was blocking my card from further usage. How ever it was a supportive cautious step from the bank to avoid going in further debts, even if it gave a financial lock to my expenses.
I approched the bank for further action and as per them I submitted all the documents and also they intimated that they cannot insure everything but some part of my statement every month.

Even after my card was blocked I am getting statement till date with all the penalty and financial charges included in that. Later the collection department threatened me for payment and as per them I paid three minimum payment even after my card was blocked and borrowing from my friends.
06 months passed and I have not yet received any benefits for the credit shield and now they are telling that the credit shield is not their responsibility and I need to go to alfuttaim for insurance.

They cheated me and still cheating many of us, because for credit shield the executive of FGB called me and now they are not responsible.

I have decided not to pay and file a case against the person who is harassing me further without knowing all this past.Because overtime a new collection officer calls and when I explain about all the credit shield, he leave and another person comes .

They are making customers fool. Here there is consumer court to protect the rights of a customer.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] rsa lifestyle protect plus-gold plan (policy number: 5/1/020/[protected])

Everything was fine with First Gulf Bank until RSA Lifestyle Protect Plus-Gold Plan (amounting AED 972/year) was offered to me in April 2017.I received the certificate of insurance on April 13, 2017 but I noticed that the beneficiary name was wrong. So on April 17, 2017 I called FGB for a request to amend the beneficiary name and I had given them again the correct one. They had promise me that I will receive the corrected certificate of insurance in few days but I have not receive it. So I followed up what is the status, where is the certificate but they just keep on saying they will send it, someone will call me, they had sent it, maybe it went to spam mail, I even suggested them to take my other email address and send it there but still I am not receiving the certificate. I am really upset but I still manage to wait for a long time (from April 17 to July), until I decided to just cancel it. So in August 2017 I filed a request to cancel it and reverse the amount they deducted from my account but still I am not getting a clear reply from them, same excuses they will tell to me every time I follow up the cancellation status from them. They always promise me that I will receive a call but from April 17, 2017 until this date (September 24, 2017), I seldom get a call and once I got the call it will be all excuses not a solution. I’m no longer interested with this service. I would like them to cancel the policy at the earliest and reverse the amount charged on my credit card; it’s already hard to ask them a simple request, so how much more for the claims.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] credit card loan

Recently I took quick cash loan from my credit card (xxxx xxxx xxxx 3010) with an EMI option for 24 months.
Initially as per their statement the EMI is only around 491 AED. But from the 2nd month onward they are charging additional charges like insurance, credit shield etc.
Before taking loan, I asked the FGB representative clearly that any other taxes/ charges?. They said NO.

Now I am completely unable to bare their extra charges (insurance, credit shield).

I requested the customer care to remove the charges. They accepted and raised the request to cancel (ref: SR10094941). But today (19.09.17) they called me and telling that they will cancel the additional charges only if I agree for another loans, another bill payments with their cards.

Kindly requesting to make me free from these additional charges as I can't bare.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] hight fee for the cancelled transfer

I have send request to CITI Bank Poland where I have my account to contact you on my behalf but they are still informing me that your bank has not given any replay to them so I have decided to send claim to your bank directly this time.
On 28 April 2017 I had made transfer of 6000 USD/ which was the equivanet of 24 073, 92 PLN to the account [protected] on the name of Sonita Stephanie Felicite / reference number HBKTG1704280551024/. As money had not reached that person on time I have asked CITI Bank in Poland my to cancel the transaction. On 16 May2017 money has came back but the amount of 21 716, 99 PLN / over 10 % from the transfered sum? was deducted from the amount I have send.CITI has returned me their fee they collected from me for the transfer from Poland to your bank. Now I looking for the same from your bank.
Can you explain why I was charged so high amount? As the result I was forced to send this money anyway with extra cost via Western Union. It was not my fault that the transfer did not reached your bank on time
I am expecting the full explanation of the whole situation and receiving the fee you have collected from me without my knowledge and agreement.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] clearance letter release

I have been following up on my clearance letter for both my loan and credit card for the past 3 weeks and there was no update. I have fully paid the balance already for a month now and there was no update from FGB's side regarding the release of my clearance letter.

Can you please expedite the process? I am really getting upset. I would like to file a complaint already because your customer service representatives also gives different advises everytime I call the FGB Hotline!

Incident #1: The Customer Rep told me that it will be released the following week, and told me to call on Sunday. When I called to check, they told me that I need to pay 30AED in my account, so I did. I went to Dubai Mall Branch, paid 30aed in my account as per the FGB employee instructions. I even spoke to the FGB employee and informed me that I need to call the hotline for following up on this clearance letter.

Incident #2: TheCustomer Rep told me to wait for the call by 12:30noon which I did. I waited until the following day and called them back again. The new agent told me that I will need to wait as there's no update yet for this. They emailed the concerned department only.

Everyday, twice a day sometimes, I have been calling FGB Hotline to follow up on my clerance letter which is quite upsetting now. The Agents doesn't know anything and will just tell me that they sent an email follow up to the concerned department (which I am not sure if this is really happening) as sometimes, the agents will tell me that they can only give an update on my credit card and not for my loan which is way to confusing and irritating!

Hi FGB! I am writing to express how upset and frustrating it is because of your poor service.

I have been following up on my Clearance Letter via FGB Hotline and everytime I call, the agent tells me that they will just send a follow up email reqarding my request.

I have been following for the past 3 weeks and some times, when I call, the agent will tell me different things:

Incident #1: Agent told me to visit the branch to follow up so I went to Dubai Mall Branch, and when I was there, they told me that they cannot do anything on it and I just need to follow up via FGB hotline.

Incident #2: Agent told me that I will receive a call by 12:30noon which I waited, and no one told me thus I followed up the next day. Next day I called, no update.

Incident #3: Agent told me to visit the branch again, and I clearly explained that I was in Dubai Mall Branch last week and told them the story of my experience that the Dubai Mall branch will not be able to help me because they will tell me that I need to follow up via FGB Hotline.

Incident #4: When I sent a complaint via FB Message in FGB FB Page, after a few hours someone called me and told me that I needed to wait for 2 days. After 2 days, no one is calling me and they even sent me a message that my complain has been resolve! This is unbelievable!

All I wanted is the release of my clearance letter which the process will only take 7 to 10 working days from the payment of the full amount due... after 3 weeks and still ongoing... no update, no clear response and unreliable customer service representatives who only knows to 'send an email follow up' from the concerned department.

Please fix your processses not to lose customers.

HI FGB!
I just called your FGB hotline again and followed up on the clearance letter because I received an update via SMS that the 30aed reversal amount has been processed. Now, the customer service representative told me that I NEED TO GO TO THE BRANCH TO APPLY FOR THE CLEARANCE LETTER. What is this? This is so upsetting. When I went to Dubai Mall Branch last weekm they told me that I can only follow up via FGB Hotline and not thru the branch, and now the agent told me to go to the branch! Can you please clear your processes and expedite this.

Going back and forth is not helpful. This is so upsetting and confusing!

First Gulf Bank [FGB] credit card annual charges after discontinued

Dear I have received an email from Ibrahimpatnam.[protected]@fgb.ae for debt clearance - I have exited UAE October 2016 and blocked card informed phone banking rep, paid all debts withdrew bonds and the card was blocked. Now I get a mail saying I have to pay 2200 and when checked it was annual charges multiples with late fee over period. I find this ridiculous and unprofessional. Kindly rectify the error. I have been loyal for over 5yrs to fgb and will be there soon and I would want to deal with professional fgb as always. Card no [protected].

Dear FGB,
Kindly I need help on the highest position of FGB regarding the restructure of my account . I been requesting since first month of the year to have my account restructure as I cannot longer to pay the interest that FGB is giving me as I am really in a financial distressed the reason I wanted to request my account to be paid without paying a high interest .
The last conversation and agreement with me and collection officer name Shad Mody is to pay the amount of AED 1, 130 payment last month late night while he was rushing me to deposit it before he left the office for him to process the restructure ( Cleary said) i visited personally the branch near Al Kabayl center FGB office to sign and fill in the needed document as a requirement and only way to pay my balance via installment plan .I left FGB office with confidence that this request will be done the soonest, shad advised me that he will give me the less interest computation and send me it to me in the email on the coming day .I was waiting for calls and email for the result for over 3 weeks and calling the line of shad to follow up but surprisingly he told me that the request was declined? just easy word “declined “I asked him the reason and why there is no notice and call why it was not proceeded, I ask for any possibility to review and filed again the request, he advised me that someone “AGAIN” from collection officer will assisting me on my request .Do I really need to go start all over again? How can I client can finish the liability if the bank is not properly giving an option and ways to have it pay by the client ? Is it really need to drowed the client on debt while she willing and arranging the possible settlement ?Why collection knows only to collect and rude to your client without explaining things properly. Take note that I never received even a piece of SOA to FGB since then while I am receiving a reminder payment “ONLY”.

Please someone help me on this matter urgently and do the needful .

First Gulf Bank [FGB] credit card

My complain is about my credit card payment. Last August 6, 2017 I made a payment of 1950AED for my credit card for my August statement thou UAE Exchange Bahrain Muharraq Branch. The August statement was 1913.91AED. When I got hold of my September Statement the payment I made thru UAE Exchange was not credited. I contact your Consumer Collection Recovery and told me that they did not get the payment from UAE Exchange. So what I did I called up UAE and after about 2 days they send me FTS Fill stating that may payment was credited last 6 August 2017 I your bank . So I send this document to your customer service as well as to your collection and recovery department. I receive a message on 10 September 2017 stating that this payment has been processed now in your bank. In short only on 10 September 2017 it was credited not last 6 August 2017. Why did they credit it on September and it was clearly paid last 6 August 2017? Additionally my September bill stated that I have a late payment. It is very clear that this mistakes is in your side not on my side and now the burden of paying the late payment was passed to the customer. My account should be closed last August 2017 because that's my final balance payment.
Now, I am requesting that my account will be closed and no more payment will be charge on me.

Dear Sirs,

Please note that on July 31st2017 I become redundant from my UAE Employed Organization, and submitted my details for Redundancy related papers with your branch in Deira ( near Abu Baker Al Siddique Street, Deira - Dubai - United Arab Emirates)on 06th August 2017 . I paid my due minimum payment till the date on July 2017 and the request upon my status of the credit shield is not yet answered from the FGB team.

But instead of that I am send with warning sms from the bank on repeated payments till this day.

I had sent my requests to Vimla.[protected]@fgb.ae and had a conversation with Collection Officer Thilakraj Bolar on [protected]. on 30th August 2017.
I inquired on my repeated querry on the status of my Credit Shield claims, where no answers were received.

I belief a reputed Bank like FGB can respond to a request from it's customer when it is required by him where a regular uninterrupted due payments are made till date and to do them properly made on time.

But have a hard feeling for the mistreatment from your team in collection center, which made me to delay the payment on time this time.

Hope I will get my right justice to hear on status of my creditshield claim on this juncture and to advise your team to deal better with the customers on a good manner. As I was looking for help from UAE Central bank team after placing this request with the complaint section of the esteemed bank.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] unauthorised charges.. worst service

My name is Sheetal Cheriyan, and I am been using this credit card for more than 3 years, and never missed the payment. Around 2 month back I notice some Insurance charges of AED 900 and I called the bank to enquiry and I was told it is some insurance charges which I approved over the phone. I recall and realised that I did receive a call, but the representative on the call told me that as I am a loyal customer, I have been given some special incentive and some free upgrade. I thank them but after seeing the charges realised it was a fraud selling by FGB itself. On requesting to cancel it and put the money back, they customer service were so rude and just gave one answer we will refund after 5 days only. I told theme very clearly I will not make any payment unless they put that wrong charges back. Now they reverse the money but charge me with late charges, which is so unfair. Firstly they made a fake and fraud sale to me and even though I put the money the day they reverse my payment, they still charge me for late fees.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] credit shield claim

To Whom It May Concern

I would like to know the status of my credit shield claim. I called the customer service and they told me to submit my documents to collection department in Mussafah but I already submitted all the documents needed last month 15th of July. I even filled up a letter of undertaking for involuntary job loss. In front of me, It's been checked, stamped and signed by the authorized personnel from that office and he also advised to follow up the status from the customer center as he will submit all my documents to insurance. Kindly prioritize my claim as I had completed all the requirements needed. I am still on job haunt and still unemployed. I still can't afford to pay my minimum statement until I find new job.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] insurance charges or cancellation

Regarding Complaint Ref # SR10023887 waiting for response from Bank Since 21/08/2017. As per Bank policy customer will be attended within 4 working day. Unfortunately till today I did not get any call.
My Complaint is Oman Insurance renewal without confirmation from the customer directly auto renewed and made installment plan.
