Hi everyone... Just want to share you positive feedback about FGB service. I have applied for clearance letter on last 15th Aug 2017 & the customer service guy named "Piyush Pillai" advice me to check after 8 to 10 days...
I heard some bad rumors about delaying for clearance letter so.. I check in online feedback... all I found is negative only... I was worried... but exactly after 9 days I went and check in FGB bank burjuman branch.. my clearance letter for personal loan was ready...
I tried to discuss with the Customer service guy "why some people will have delay for getting clearance letter from FGB bank...?" He replied.. it depends on how you are making the payment... if you have missed the installment or if you have done delay in making payment... than after checking the details in the systems than there will be possibility of getting delay in clearance letter...
Guys be positive... & you need to follow up in the customer service for the quick response... Good Luck Guys...

insurance on credit card without my approval

This is regarding my complaint upon an Insurance implied upon me through my credit. I got a phone call, which the sales guy started his conversation about the merging of the FGB bank to FAB. And in between he mentioned about an insurance plan, asking my details and my husband's name. I replied and listened to his call until he hangs up. After one or two days I received an insurance certificate from RSA that I was subscribed to some plans and they are deducting 972 AED from the card. How is this possible without my confirmation or and request number. I didn't receive any kind of SMS which FGB is having..Every time if there is a transaction.. And who give permission to activate an Insurance plan without my signature over the phone. This is totally unacceptable. Thus I made a complaint through telephone (The Complaint number is mentioned above). Till now I didn't receive any information regarding the cancellation and refund, despite calling the customer service over than 5 times. If this is not happening I will be forced to complain to Central Bank. Kindly look into this issue and do the cancellation of my insurance and refund the amount this month itself.

They have a very poor or shall i say worst customer service in their credit card department. They have charged me 200 dirhams for something i am unaware of.. It includes accident insurance, credit shield then the finance billed charges. How can u charge me that if u never informed me what are those? Is this how the business goes? Its already 5 days i didn't receive any call from the FGB bank. i have requested to customer service guy to put it in urgent case as i'm going for my annual leave next month. The simplest things take months like forwarding an insurance contract that has been in effect since December after multiple calls nothing still trying after 9 months !
What can I say about the guest service agents ...not helpful nor providing solutions as to why a simple transfer can not be completed I will never bother calling again you are just a waste of time and effort

Is it professionally acceptable The a collections agent HANGS UP ON YOU? Is it ok for the bank to allow that? I asked for more time to pay my minimum which I pay monthly just not on the day set by FGB. They already charging late fees so why does it matter when I get it in the month as long as it's in right? Yea I know before next billed statement but hey at least IM PAYING. Anyway rude agent acting like he's too dog and that my legal status depends on him and he decided if he can hold my case longer. Like how dare you even think like that or talk to anyone like that. What ever happened to being compassionate? Kind? Considerate?. Do these words not play into FGB morals? Putting you first is their slogan "putting whatever matters to you first" is the apparent philosophy of the bank. Just words I say. Collections agents need retraining to be on par with the rest of the world. Source options and a way to retrieve money and not BULLY people nor HANG UP ON THEM not Say OTHER AGENTS MAY HOLD BUT I WONT. I believe in Karma. FGB live up to your philosophy and acknowledge people who are making payments and stay in touch. We are humans not machines. Thank you
credit card fraud money transfer
This transaction happened on my non-activated card ( No-[protected]).This card i havent used and not activated from May-2016.
The card got activated on 3-May-2017, email id has been changed, easy cash transfer had been done, all without the my consent.
On 3-May-2017 I was out of Dubai for my business visit.
I got to know about this fraud on 30-May-2017 when I received the SME for payment of amount 6015.87, and mentioned the copy has been sent to your registered mail id. Upon cross check in email no statement has been received.
Upon checking with customer care my mail id was changed to which was not belongs to me.(with spelling mistake in surname)
The amount transferred was also got to know from customer care executive.
The transaction done to Mashreq bank, where I don't have any relation.
So same day the SR9770501 has been raised for fraud and number is mentioned above.
So now multiple follow ups I got to know that the fraud dept inquiry is in progress and name mentioned above is looking after the case.
Despite of request for not sending any mails regarding this fraud, I am receiving a threatening mails from collection department.
So this transaction or any modifications happened on 3-May-2017 is not done by me.
Its solely mismanaged by FGB.
So requesting you to please provide the following
1. How my inactive card has been activated without my consent.
2. How my mail id has been changed without my consent.
3. How the fraud transaction of AED 110000 has been done.
Also provide me the place and location of the transaction done and same shall be provided as proof for fraud to register my complaint with Police.
So please provide me the clarification and no liability letter for my proceedings.

I am writing this email with regards to my Credit cards with FGB. It is really disappointing to feel that I have been a customer with FGB for more than 6 years.
I have a loan with NBAD and wanted to close all my liabilities by topping up my existing loan. When they approached FGB for card settlement, FGB delayed it without responding and due to which all the other liability letters from other banks got expired. I had lost all the money that I spent to get the liability letters of other banks.
I am now moving out from NBAD & FGB to another Islamic bank who has offered to take over the entire liabilities. It doesn’t make any sense to customer because of the merger between NBAD and FGB. They still operate as rivals. FGB is not closing my cards just because they get more interest from credit card than from a loan. I expected a professional knowledge with their staff. There is no goal congruence between between NBAD and FGB.
It is really disappointing. I am going to complain this matter to Central Bank of UAE and also the Gulf news.
The result of this game played by FGB is that they lost both my personal loan business as well as the Credit card.
refund of my guarantee amount against credit card

This is to inform you that I closed my card almost 2 months back.
Since it was a buy out with Mashreq Bank, FGB kept my Aed 8, 113.12 as guarantee amount. Which they said, they will transfer after 45 days.
I called the bank after 45 days (24.07.17). Bank told me that within 4-6 days the funds will be credited to my mashreq bank account. I provided them with my IBAN number.
I called after 5 days. Bank is saying its under process, awaiting approval.
Based on the information received from bank that my money will be credited within 4-6 days, I made a commitment to someone. Now I am left with embarrassment.
I called again on 1.08.17. Now im being told it will take 2 weeks.
I was given wrong information from the beginning. Very disappointed with the service of FGB one of the largest bank in middle East.
Past 3 days i have been calling daily and nothing seems to be happening.
I get same response, under process and someone will call you by end of day.
Bank doesn't even call back and im stuck here wondering why bank is holding my money which is rightfully mine.
Firstly you block my funds for 45 days and then to release you say 4-6 days and still you do not keep up to your word.
If we don't pay credit card bill on due date bank will not hesitate to charge interest and fines... But now when bank owes us and has not lived up to it's word
i request you to pleas look into this matter and release my funds immediately.

I applied 15 days before for the clearence letter in the FGB Burdubai branch, but they are not providing my clearence letteryet, they are not saying any reason for it. The different amount dhs 279/-is for delay payment, as per mediator Mr. kailash Tiwari.
1. 1st payment on 21/03/2017 - amount is dhs. 700/-
2. 2nd payment on 22/05/2017 - amount is Dhs. 779/-
3. 3rd payment on 6/07/2017 - amount is Dhs. 800/-
from 6th july 2017 onwards am keep on trying to those people through Email or Phone but there is no answer. finally one fellow attended my call in delhi office, he told Mr. Kailash Tiwari left from T-L skip recoveries, after that no answer from them. In Mr. mustakim sheikh side he is not replying to my mail except one day "saying that i will come to you after checking my records" but even many mail till today no answer,
sir, 1 struggled badly lot to clear this amount, that they mediator tortured by phone me, my family, friends even colleges where am working before clearing my due they called maximum 10-15 times per day. once settled amount no one is answering, even i paid delay charges of Dhs.279 also.

Dear Sir,
My name is Muthuvel Ramachandran having valid Indian Passport # L6628935 and Emirates ID # [protected]. I am working as Procurement Officer/Store in-charge in Penta Global Engineering Company, in ICAD-III, Mussafah Abu Dhabi. One of the sales guy from FGB approached me while visiting our company during November 2016 and offered a loan to purchase a second hand car. I availed the loan of AED17, 000 through flexi account number [protected] in FGB and still I am paying my monthly installment without any default.
After that one of the FGB person contacted me over phone during April 2017 and offered a loan. I availed that loan of AED 10, 000, by obtaining a new credit card # [protected] from FGB to remit my outstanding credit card charges of Emirates NBD bank, and still I am paying my monthly installment without any default.
During third week of June 2017, one lady called me from FGB and informed me about an insurance policy and further she added this is an offer to my FGB credit card and the premium charges are included in my EMI and there will be no extra charges. I could not hear her voice clearly due to some interruptions around my working table, since I was busy. After this incident I received a mail from FGB on 02/07/2017 with an insurance policy # 5/1/020/[protected], with commence date 22/06/2017 and annual premium AED1704. I was shocked to see this email, with policy because the lady from FGB informed me this is only an offer to my credit card. Then immediately I called FGB customer service on 03rd July 2017 and made a request to cancel the insurance policy, since I have many policies and do not want any more policy. On 11th July 2017 I got a call from one lady of FGB through land line # [protected]. She informed me “your request could not be processed, because you have accepted to open insurance policy and your credit card is blocked for the annual premium value AED1704” I replied to her, I did not accept any policy with extra charges of AED1704, as per the conversation on June third week the lady offered me the charges included in my EMI and there will be no extra payment. Then she informed, that they have the recording of our conversation during June, it’s a proof that I agreed to open the policy
It’s a mere misunderstanding of the lady, with interrupted noise around my work table. In this stage I am registering a complaint against the following acts of FGB officials.
1. Unprofessional way of approaching a customer during peak working hours and promising them with a kind of offer to the credit card and misunderstanding customer’s speech
2. Refusing the customer’s request to cancel the policy, in the very beginning stage before starting the period
3. Blocking the annual premium of the insurance in customers credit card account without his knowledge and proper prior information
4. Opening a policy with only one telephonic conversation and without reconfirmation with the client
5. Fixing premium payment as annual without informing customer. (If it is monthly if any of the customer do not like to proceed, he can break the policy by not paying monthly premium)
Being an Indian expatriate having 57years old, residing in UAE for the past 7years, I do not have come across any such financial harassment from any of the financial institutions all over UAE except FGB. I am very proud to stay in this country because of the manners and excellent humanitarian approach and peaceful culture of Emiratis. In the same way I hope this complaint also will be considered as genuine and my case will be treated on priority.
Kindly do the needful to contact the concerned regarding this complaint and arrange to cancel the above explained, insurance policy as soonest as possible.

I took a card from fgb. Last year I requested for liability letter and I cleared the said amount. However attempts to close the card have been the most painful pain in the $#@€
They overcharged me on the liability letter but I have decidec to clear the mentioned amount just to get off this bank!
I need my card closed as I have no pending amount with them. They keep sending me statements each months showing I owe them 0.00 aed.
This is the most crappy bank! I should have known better.
I will be repprting this to central bank uae and also opening aa legal case against them. 1 year is enough time to close a credit card that has been fully settled!

I have pending loan application from other bank due to not low credit rating in central b ank against card #[protected] last update on [protected]:15:58.03. When I called customer service on 10th of july 2017. She told that if I request again for letter it will take 14days & may not get approve due to very old record. But there is resolution from collection department that customer should visit ecb. I went to ecb today & I got the report. What they told is it should be the provider who will update. If you check my credit report, there is no record related to fgb. Please update my credit rating in central bank. I have filed complaint in central bank for the same #17618/2017.
poor customer service at your muraqqabat branch.
This is to inform you that I have visited your branch at muraqqabat a number of times but the service I have received on all the occasions is nothing I admire. It seems as if I am committing a crime by visiting your branch. The lady at counter four (12/07/2017 in the morning) is the handler and it seems as if she does not have any customer service etiquette whatsoever. A bank is the place where I might find serenity and big smiles but at this branch it is the other way round.
Please improve on this or disaster will follow in your footstyeps in the near future.

insurance renewal/ goof up by fgb
I hold FGB Credit card. I had taken Insurance annual premium of AED 350. On 14th Jun 2017 I placed request NOT TO RENEW the policy. In spite of my request Policy was renewed on 18th Jun 2017 and bill to my credit card (I did not receive SMS) when I received the statement I was shocked to see INSURANCE RENEWAL CHARGES. Now I am being forced to pay for no fault of mine. I was advised to pay full amount and then it will be reimbursed in next 45 WORKING DAYS. For no fault of mine I am running behind FGB. I have called 3 times no one is available from INSURANCE TEAM to answer the call.
My question is
WHY INSURANCE WAS NOT CANCELLED when there was a request made.
If it was charges by the time they action, why no initiative was taken to reverse the same before invoice is generated.
One of the WORST SERVICE RECEIVED and THIS WAS MY FIRST CREDIT CARD IN DUBAI.
Is there any authorised person who can take quick action before I make payment 15th Jul 2017.

This is to bring to your kind attention that I, Shoaib Muhammad with Account No. 1616995 am not able to login or use my account due to in in-acitivity as I was not in UAE.
When I requested to re-activate that account and filled in all necessary documents at the Dubai Mall branch (Request no. SR9851768), I was attended to Ms. Ayesha Alfalasi on 17th June 2017 and was informed that within 2-3 business days my account will be re-activated. However nothing happened and I had to revisit the branch on 3rd July and had to redo the whole documentation procedure again with Mr. Ahmed Salah
Please note that I am very disappointed at the lack of service and support provided by FGB. Would appreciate immediate resolution to my account issue. Thank you
