FootSmart.com Disappointing Experience, Proceed with Caution Review

Dear valued readers, I wanted to share my recent experience with FootSmart. Unfortunately, my order did not meet expectations. Despite prompt shipping, the shoes I received were not as described. The return process was cumbersome, and I encountered difficulties with customer service. It was a disappointing experience overall. I would advise caution when considering purchases from FootSmart. FootSmart.com I found good compression hose

I found good compression hose- footsmart house brand- at a fraction of the price charged by other places. Also socks with non-bind tops that I couldn't find elsewhere. Shipping was relatively prompt and returns handled reasonably well.

FootSmart.com I've had god luck finding shoes online

I've had god luck finding shoes online - I have really small feet, so it's always nice to have a company that carries smaller shoe sizes.

I've only had to return one pair, and they took care of it right away. I also appreciate that they are affiliated with coupon and cash back websites, so I can save even more money.

FootSmart.com Poor Business Pratices

I ordered a pair of shoes for my octogenarian mother who has back and foot issues. We’ve order from Foot Smart previously with no issues so we had the same expectation this time around. Our order was placed on April 7, 2022 for in stock comfort mules and as of May 18th, 2022 we have yet to receive the shoes. I’ve made several inquiries as to the status of my order only to be lied to and fed misinformation by the customer service team. I was informed that a warehouse move that took place, but what does that have to do with me, my money and my time?! Every call I’m told the shoes will go out at the end of the week with no tracking or definitive information. It is disheartening to know that a company that caters to a specific demographic of people with shoe challenges would screw their consumers over so badly. Foot Smart has bad business practices - buyer beware!

Desired outcome: To receive my order.

FootSmart.com Womens sneakers 7 XXW

I purchased Stability Walker sneakers 2/9/22. Order number was FS#121183 and didn’t begin wearing the sneakers until three weeks ago. The last two toes developed skin redness from shoe friction. It is the first time Foot Smart shoes were an issue. I am requesting a refund since it’s only been three weeks of wearing them. I don’t have an account and purchase my special shoes as a guest.

Thank you for any help you can give

FootSmart.com Return process

I made an order and bought a pair of shoes from FootSmart website and the ones arrived were too small. I immediately contacted FootSmart customer care service and asked for an exchange for a bigger size. They said that was not possible because that was the last pair. Then I asked for a refund, but they claimed they were not able to accept the shoes back because they were on final sale. There was nothing mentioned about that on their website and when I bought the shoes I paid the full price!
Customer service was a joke, they provided absolutely no help and I lost my money because of these scammers! They just wanted to get rid of the last pair so they just sold it to me! Liars!

FootSmart.com Slippers

I am a repeat customer of Footsmart. In early October 2015 I ordered a pair of slippers for my 91 year old mother. When they arrived, she tried them on, walked across her living room on carpet and determined they were too small. I returned them wanting an exchange for the next bigger size. Three weeks later I rec'd a pair of slippers back, same size with the notice that they were "worn". No, they were not worn, in any sense of the word. I made a phone call to customer service and they advised their return policy was non negotiable. If worn, no refund and no exchange. The lady I talked to said I should try sending the slippers back to the warehouse of origin and see if they would "make an exception". I should spend more money sending them to the warehouse? I am furious, this is robbery plain and simple. I can find no recourse, no other phone number or person to contact. I would not ever purchase another item from Footsmart and I will tell everyone I know what kind of business they do. These are $50 slippers. I have already paid to return them once and now am expected to pay again and send to the warehouse. Something is seriously wrong here.

FootSmart.com Quality was terrible and soles were lost

My wife bought one pair of shoes from Footsmart. We were on holidays and she took these shoes with her. But after 3 days she told me that the sole started to separate from the shoes. When we returned home these soles were lost already and we contacted the seller. We asked to change the shoes, but the seller refused and told that they were used and worn already. They sell horrible quality shoes.

FootSmart.com Return Policy

HORRIBLE RETURN POLICY. Footsmart may appear to have good prices on some things. However, should the order be anything but perfect, don't expect any help from customer service and be aware that they will charge you to return an item. Their return policy is unreasonably narrow and rigid. I would advise everyone to avoid this company since there are now so many options for online shopping. Internet commerce, especially for something like footwear, needs a reasonable and easy return system. Footsmart needs to leave the Dark Ages and enter the Twenty-first Century.

I bought a multihead percussion massager for christmas, I bought it at the end of August, upon opening it Dec25th the massager shuts off every 30 second to 2 minutes at the longest. It's brand new for crying out loud! It's past the 60 day warranty ( I was never told that it had a 60 day warranty. The manufacturer is a fax number in California, Unipride marketing. probably actually in China. The $85 piece is JUNK!

You need to ask mommy before purchasing anything online. Why order something if you don't want it. Have a parent sit down and research a product before ordering it, that way you know if it is worth buying and don't have to return it when you find out it is not as it is meant to be.

FootSmart.com Defective Merchandise

I ordered a "Pedinova III Nail Care System" from FootSmart on January 16, 2014 for 119.99. I have tried to use it on my feet to remove dead skin. It will work for about a minute or two and then shut off. I have to wait about ten minutes to get it to work again. I called FootSmart to ensure that I was using it properly. The Rep on the phone told me that he had a "hunch" that this way the way this appliance worked. I told him that at this rate I Would never complete one foot. He told me, sorry, it was nonreturnable as it was a personal care item. While I understand this policy I think I received a defective product; I requested to speak to the supervisor, I I was placed on hold for about five minutes and the same Rep came on the line and told me that the supervisor was out to lunch. Then reiterated that no matter what it was nonreturnable. I told him that I had a return form with a USPS return address. My receipt stated "60 Day Easy Exchanges and Returns." No where was the statement "no returns on personal items" (even in case of defects). This was NOT in the catalogue or online. I am VERY disappointed and will never purchase from them again

FootSmart.com overcharged

I received a pair of shoes I ordered today and I was charged postage, and the catalog I ordered from was supposed to be postage free for any item over $49. My shoes were $69.99. I was supposed to enter a code into the order form (on-line) to get free postage, and I did that numerous times, being told that I had the wrong code. I copied it from the back page of the catalog. At one point, it seemed to accept the code I entered, so I ordered. I discovered that I've been charged $12.99 for postage and I think it should be refunded. When I spoke to a customer service agent, she said her supervisor said I should have called them at the time of the order. I don't think I did anything wrong - they should refund my money. I will never order from them again.

FootSmart.com Will not Exchange or refund my money

My father purchased a pair of orthopedic shoes size 12 with a large width on my birthday on May 18th for $164.69. The shoes came and did not fit correctly so I returned them footsmart and asked for a smaller size 10.5 with a normal width. I did this within the 60 day return policy, however footsmart sent me the exact same pair of shoes. Now I have paper work to prove that I filled out their paper work and they still showed negligence by sending me an incorrect pair. Not only that but I feel that it is unfair to pay out of my pocket over $40, to get back the SAME exact shoes that I sent back to them. It is like the didn't even put the effort to check what was wrong.

In addition to that on July 18th they gave me a refund to my dad's credit card for $146.95. I thought that was footsmart's way of correcting their mistake.

On my dad's October credit card statement I received a notice from the bank that without authorization or footsmart contacting us, footsmart charged my dad for the shoes again. I had no problem with this because they were getting their refund back except for the fact that they did this without our knowing.

No I must admit it was my mistake prolonging to get in contact with footsmart about this issue, but I work full time and am a student at San Francisco State University, so I did not have time to deal with this issue and my family aren't fluent in English. Today I talked multiple times to footsmart and explained my issue. I just wanted to return the shoes that they mistakenly sent to me again. That is all. Now footsmart is washing their hands and having me carry all of the burden for their mistake.

To be completely honest I find footsmart to be rude and just unwilling to help my situation out. I understand that the 60 day period to return the 2nd pair of shoes that they sent by mistake, all I want is to not feel cheated out of my money.

Footsmart had now problem taking back their money when they made their mistake, but now that I need help from them they are turning their backs.

As a consumer I can't help but felt betrayed and even cheated out of my hard earned money.

I would greatly appreciate any help, all I want is the shoes that I ordered.

FootSmart.com I feel like I was ripped off

I want to file a complaint against FOOTSMART, . Back in June I purchased a pair of shoes on the internet from FOOTSMART, they did not fit so I returned them. I did not receive a refund, so I called them and I was told that I would receive a credit of $61.08. Now this was never mentioned when I bought the shoes. I do not want a credit because I will never use this company again, I would like them to refund the money for the shoes I returned. I returned the shoes on June 22, 2012

Could you please help me, I do not want a credit from a company that I do not want to use again. I feel like I was ripped off.

FootSmart.com The site and company has really changed

The site and company has really changed. They have hired INcompetent people in customer service. If you call and ask if an item is in stock, they say "yes", take your money and then you get a email telling you the item is NOT IN STOCK and to choose something else. OR they send you the wrong item or wrong number or wrong description and GOOD LUCK in getting a refund quickly. I used to love this company, but no more. Then they have the nerve to send you a catalogue. I cannot recommend this company anymore.

FootSmart.com Won't exchange defective slippers

I purchased a pair of house slippers from FootSmart and within two weeks of wearing them in the house, I noticed that on one shoe the upper portion of the shoe was separating from the sole. I contacted the company and requested a like-exchange for the defective slippers. I was told that since the shoes were worn, they could not be returned or exchanged. I explained that I wouldn't have known that the there was an insufficient amount of glue on the shoe if I hadn't worn it. The Customer Service Representative was entrenched and would not budge. I requested that a supervisor contact me and was told that one would within two business days. Two weeks passed and no one contacted me from FootSmart. I called again and was told that I could return the slippers, but if they were "Not in the original unworn condition" they would not be exchanged or accepted for a return. I returned the pair of slippers with a letter explaining the situation and a photo of the defective shoe (see attached photo). The slippers were returned to me because they were not in the original unworn condition. It would appear that FootSmart does not stand behind their products and will conveniently use any excuse not to exchange defective items.

I would strongly advise not purchasing anything from Footsmart!

FootSmart.com Scam return policy! - No manufacturer's warranty for any item. Super expensive disposable items

I was just scammed by Footsmart. Do not buy anything form this site! I bought the Acu-Point Therapy Foot Massager (item 30893A in their online-store) for a total of $284.

The massager worked properly only 4 months! When I called Footsmart, they confirmed they were the manufacturers but unfortunately they did not offer a manufacturer's warranty! Only the 60 day return policy. So basically all the items they sell (including the most expensive equipment) are super expensive disposable items!

Their whole business is just a scam!

There are lots of reports on-line from people confirming they also share their credit card info with other "companies" they partner with.

FootSmart.com Unsatisfying experience

I recently returned a pair of shoes to FootSmart, within the allowed 60 day time period for returns. I had tried the shoes on 3 times, wearing them for 5-10 minutes each time and only in the house. When I packed them up to return them to FootSmart, I made sure to include all of the original packing and product materials. The shoes were returned to me, having not met "one or more of our required FootSmart 60 Day Easy Returns and Exchanges policies." The line "Footwear products not in original unworn conditions" was checked. I called today to speak to Customer Service and was transferred to a supervisor (Dean), who assured me that the return was reviewed by more than one person. But he could not tell me what was wrong with the product I returned. The returned shoes were not scuffed, they were not dirty, they were not damaged ... and they were packed with all of the original materials. Yes, I did try them on. But I have no idea of what was determined to be wrong with the shoes I returned, nor could Dean provide this information. He could merely restate that more than one person had looked at the shoes to determine that they were not in the original unworn condition. This was a totally unsatisfying experience. I will never purchase anything from FootSmart again, and I will go out of my way to give them bad publicity and reviews.

I ordered a pair of slippers from Footsmart for the holidays on December 15. I called on December 23 to check on status and was told by a representative at FootSmart that I had just ordered (it even though it had been 6 business days since I ordered it) and it took time to come in per it was coming directly from the manufacturer. I called on December 29 to check on the status and was told by a rep that a manager would check into it and call me within 24hrs. I didn't get the call and about 48 hours later I received an e-mail stating that the order was cancelled per the product was out of stock. I immediately called FootSmart to verify this and the rep confirmed that the order was cancelled. I told him that I was very disappointed with how Footsmart handled this and he said he couldn't speak for the other reps who I talked to and I tried to explain why I was irritated with the situation and he would butt in and tell me that I wasn't giving him a chance to counter the situation, but actual he wasn't letting me explain how I felt (he was the one butting in). I finally said that I was wasting my time and told him I was going to write up a negative review to warn others NOT to purchase through this company, that any customer would be wasting their time amd money. This company did many things wrong:

1) They did not notify me immediately that the product was out of stock, it took me to call them numerous times before they checked into it.

2) The reps were NOT friendly, they only cared about the company, not the customer. One rep made a promise that was not kept (promising that the manager would call within 24 hours of my call to them, which I did not receive)

3) In the e-mail stating that my order was out of stock and the company offered me a 15% discount on a purchase of $50 or more, when my original purchase was only $36 --- that was an insult to me, why would I purchase anything from a company that has treated me so poorly and having to purchase over $50 at that.

4) The representative telling me that I was butting in while he was talking when actually he was not letting me finish my statement, someone needs to tell him that he needs to treat the customer better than saying "your butting in, not giving me a chance to counter"... that puts the customer on offense so he should be repremanded as well. Let the customer vent and then say I may have a solution to our situation but he did not, his wording was all wrong. Again customer service does not exist with this company.

Bottom line...
DON'T PURCHASE ANY PRODUCTS THROUGH THIS COMPANY - FootSmart... THE CUSTOMER IS NOT IMPORTANT TO THEM AND THEY DON'T MEET THEIR COMMITMENTS/PURCHASE ORDERS!

FootSmart does not update its web-store on a regular basis. You may spend a lot of time shopping on their web site and place an order.They will accept the order but two days later just send you a message that the shoes you have ordered are "permanently out of stock". So don't waste any time shopping on this web site.

I ordered a pair of thong sandals size 10. My heel was a little over the back so I returned them for one size larger. I received the exchange pair of thong sandals. The box said size 11. When I opened the box the tissue paper was not wrapped around the sandals. The plastic brace that goes inside the sandal to hold the form was not inside the sandal but it was in the box. I tried them on. They fit the same as the first pair. There were no size markings on the shoes. I FELT AS IF THEY THOUGHT I WOULD BE STUPID AND NOT NOTICE IT WAS THE SAME SHOES. Of course I returned them right away. Now I'm waiting on my refund. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM FOOTSMART.COM AGAIN.

I recently ordered shoes from Footsmart that ended up being just a little too big. I exchanged them for a smaller size using their shipping label on the exchange. I would have been fine paying the shipping for a more suitable size, but Footsmart later informed me that they no longer had the smaller size in stock. They refused to reimburse my shipping fees. Had I known they didn't carry the smaller size I would have kept the shoes and tied them tighter! Now I'm out $9 and still need shoes. Don't shop with Footsmart, it's not worth the risk unless you know exactly what you want and have tried the shoes on in a store.

FootSmart.com False warehouse claims

I ordered two pair of shoes for my mother, a cancer patient. One pair fit, the other didn't. Without ever wearing the shoes outside, she carefully wrapped the pair she wished to exchange in its original packaging and sent it back at her own expense as instructed in their returns/exchange policy. Weeks later, she was informed that the warehouse would not accept the shoes for exchange/return because they appeared to be worn. She never had the chance to wear them outside, and according to what she told me, had them on for less than three minutes because the shoes did not fit her. The company essentially took my money, called her a liar, and has now laden her with junk. I don't reccommend this company to anyone anymore, and I'm shocked and disappointed they did this: I've spent hundreds of dollars ordering from them, and aggrivating an elderly, sick person in that manner is unconscienable.

This company is ripping folks off left and right. I took shoes out of the box, too big. I sent them back THE SAME WEEK! The "warehouse" determined that they were in "used condition." Well, well, well... sounds familiar huh? No supervisors on duty on any of the times I called. I was never called back. This company is terrible and I will be sending them a letter and blasting their corrupt practices online - so that no one falls prey to their insidious acts!

I ordered two pair of shoes. I called about sending them back and they said I could.and ashen I did they would not refund me. Do not buy anything from them..not a good conch. A good colony.

I have ordered from Footsmart many times. They are liars of the first degree! Do not buy from the. After ordering shoes and finding out they didn't fit, I carefully wrapped them, unworn! into the same box they came in. They said I HAD WORN THEM and refused to credit my account. They must be going out of business. No way could they treat people with an obvious lie like they've done me. They should be reported for fraud!

I was just scammed by Footsmart. Do not buy anything form this site! I bought the AcuPoint Foot Massage appliance for a total of $284. The massager worked properly only 4 months! When I called Footsmart, they confirmed they were the manufacturers but unfortunately they did not offer a manufacturer's warranty! Only the 60 day return policy. So basically all the items they sell (including the most expensive equipment) are super expensive disposable items!

Their whole business is just a scam!

I ordered two pair of slippers for my 92 year old father. One pair fit the other didn't and I sent them back immediately. I rec'd the same slippers back from the warehouse saying they had been worn! After much complaining, I spoke with a Paul Daubney who agreed to look at these slippers. I sent them to his name at Footsmart to PO Box 922908 Norcross, GA 30010. After waiting a week for his response, I called, spoke to someone who said he would call me in 30 minutes. After an hour and a half, I called again and was told he would call me in 15 minutes which he did. Mr Daubney agreed the slippers did not look worn but said perhaps the white marks were packaging or gum! Really? Gum? I was told my account would receive credit for the shoes but not shipping them back to them twice. I have ordered with Footsmart many times before but no more. I was basically called a liar and when they realized I was not lying tried to say perhaps there had been gum on the slippers. They do have great products but I'll look elsewhere such as Zappos. They have GREAT customer service.

Oh my goodness, the exact thing happened to me. My dad, 92 and a cancer patient with very swollen feet tried on two pair of slippers from Footsmart. On fit and one did not. I returned the one unworn pair immediately and was told they had been worn. I called and complained and complained some more. I was being called a liar by them. I finally got a hold of a Paul Daubney who agreed to look at the slippers @ P O Box 922908 Norcross, GA 30010. After shipping and insuring these slippers again, Mr Daubney agreed that they had not been worn. On the other hand, he said it looked like there was gum on them! What? I have ordered many times from FootSmart.com and really liked their products but no more.

I have had the same experience as the lady that had bought the shoes for her ill mother. I have badly swollen feet from lymphedema. It is impossible for me to find shoes that fit. Footsmart's catalog had been recommended to me. I found a pair of slippers that looked like they might work. I called the 800 number and received horrible service with my first call. The operator was rude and snapped at me if I tried to ask questions. I finally asked for a supervisor and she replied that they had no supervisors available. I knew that was a silly answer. I work in customer service for a very famous mail order company that frequently is rated number one for customer service in the nation. I know that supervisors are available.

After the experience with the rude operator, I really did not want to do business with Footsmart, but I desperately needed a pair of shoes. I decided to call back and the second operator was very polite and have a suggestion for me and did a size for me over the phone. I was told they would arrive in 3 to 5 days. The slippers came two weeks later, but they did arrive.

When they arrived, I sat in a chair, opened the box, unwrapped the shoes from the tissue paper, took the tissue out of the toes, and tried to put them on my feet. The shoes did not fit, but I knew there were larger sizes. I took them off, put the tissue back in the toes, rewrapped the shoes in the original tissue paper, and put them back in the box, carefully closing the top and putting them back in the box. The shoes were not outside the box 3 minutes. I didn't even stand up in them.

I decided to order a larger size and mailed the shoes back in the 60 day period allowed. The return information said that the new pair would be returned in 2 to 3 weeks. Four weeks later, they arrived. I opened the box and much to my surprise, the pair I had sent back were in the box with a note that said they could not be returned, because they were not in the original condition! I was stunned.

I called Footsmart and though the operator was pleasant, she offered no solution and only told me that a supervisor would call me back in 24 to 48 hours. I cannot afford to buy another pair of shoes from anyone now including Footsmart. I would not dare order anything from this outfit again. When I entered Footsmart complaints into the search engine on the internet, pages and pages came up.

Like the lady who bought the shoes for her mother, I'm left without a pair of shoes that fits. I've been treated very poorly. I suspect that it is a rare event when a pair of shoes are successfully returned. Never again will I trust this company and I cannot recommend them to anyone.

FootSmart.com Slowest delivery system!

I purchased a small inexpensive item (heel cups) from footsmart and received it on April 30th. It was not the right size and had to return it on May 1st for an exchange. I had to pay $6.99 extra for the exchange service. I called footsmart to find out the status of my order. They said it is due to arrive at their warehouse on May 19th. This is unbelievable!

A small envelope can not be delivered in 18 days within the United states!
