ford focus, fusion and escape
I have been a very loyal Ford customer over the years having previously owned trucks, Pintos, Mustangs, Festiva, etc. but I will never buy another Ford product since the three owned now have so many issues and recalls on them; it's ridiculous!
Mechanics call the transmissions "Rubber Band" transmissions and they are right!
Even after "fixing" the transmission on the Focus, I was told that I didn't qualify for the reimbursement because the three times I had to take the vehicle back in we're not transmission issues! The three trips were all related to the transmission but that didn't count! I'm so disappointed that Ford no longer makes quality vehicles. My next car will sadly not be a Ford. My loyalty has come to an end.
I have a misfire problem and significantly reduced power when I need it most.
I have a 2013 F150 with a 3.5 Ecoboost engine. The truck ran great for the first 15, 000 miles and then started to misfire when I needed power from the engine. It keeps getting worse. I pull equipment trailers with this truck and it is extremely dangerous.
I has been extremely frustrating because I can't afford to replace the truck and I wouldn't get much for it running so poorly as it does. I had it to the Ford garage four times, three times while still under warrenty. They ran diagnostics and tell me they don't know what is wrong or how to fix it. They also tell me Ford hasn't issued any service bulletins about this problem. I changed plugs, coils and nothing helps. I'm positive the engineers at Ford knows what the problem is. Is the problem they don't want to spend the money to fix it. In the mean time I put my life at risk everytime I have to tow a trailer. Just put a diesel engine in it and solve the problem. Or would you suggest I obtain legal counsel. I am really out of options.

ford 2019 edge defective windshield
I purchased a 2019 ford edge on 5/13/19, and within two days discovered that there were several spots on the windshield where the vision was distorted and blurry. I contacted the dealer, kings ford, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was told that every new edge on the lot had similar defective windshields, but that there were no other complaints. They submitted my claim to ford for a replacement windshield, which was at first denied. They submitted further pictures, and the claim was approved, and i received a replacement windshield. The replacement is 95% better, but still has one small area of distortion. I contacted the dealer again, and was told that it was probably in my best interest to live with it, because i quite possibly would get a worse one were it to be replaced again.
I find this unacceptable to purchase a $45, 000 vehicle and not be able to get a windshield free of defects
password help
I tried to register a new vehicle so I tried to register a new account. It said I already had an account with that email address. I tried that email address to log on but I forgot my password. I tried the send temporary password link and never received a temporary password link in my email. I been trying since last week,
I called customer after trying sign on to my ford account to register a new vehicle. I forgot my password and a new temporary password was supposed to be sent to my email address. After trying over and over no temporary password was ever sent to my email.
I call customer service and was on the line for 37 minutes and no one could help and they disconnected me. That's what people do that don't know how to help customers.
All I asked was for them to send me a link to reset my password. He told me to wait 24 to 48 hours. I been waiting since last week when I tried it .
It's very apparent after talking to two customer service reps that could barely speak english they do not have any idea how to help other than transfer you to someone else that can't help and that person hangs up on you when they can't help

I bought a 2004 f150 extend truck on April 18 2019, I traded a 2002 Lexus ls 430 and paid a difference . The Lexus was paid for and I surrendered the title at the time I traded.I paid a processing fee of $595. The truck was from Texas and I was told 6 weeks later that they did not have all the papers from the previous owner. When they did get them and sent...
Read full review of Fordwarning on my engine coming up
My husband and I and my daughter and 2 grand kids were traveling back home Sunday June 9th from visiting the great grandparents we were on the 401 and we saw this message on the car,
"power reduced to lower engine temperature"
needles to say we were worried, but non of us thought to take a picture of it, I called the dealership I purchased my Escape from on June 10th, it is a 2014 Ford Escape built in 2013, I believe October. From Oakland Ford in Oakville Ont. I told them we had looked on the internet to see what was happening and it came up with "Ford was recalling these models due to spontaneous engine combustion". I sent the link to them and called them again and they said to bring the vehicle in and pay for diagnostic $135 plus tax and if it is under warranty they will fix it but I would have to pay the additional $100 plus tax for the deductible, I spoke to Debbie in the service department.
If this is a recall for a serious issue I don't think I should have to pay the diagnostic or the deductible, this issue is not my fault, Ford knows about this issue and it should be made clear to your dealerships that this should be resolved immediately.
I am the main driver of this car and I have told my family if anything happens to me and this does combust, to sue Ford.
The link we saw explained that Ford was issuing another vehicle to people with this message showing up and I believe that would be sufficient. I also put a towing package on as we have a boat and will be towing it to the lake if we ever get summer, so I would need that as well on my vehicle.
Please let me know what will be done about this, I have been going to this dealership for the past 20 years but I can certainly change to one other than Ford if this is not resolved.
I had asked for a manager to contact me but never got it Debbie was the one that called and said that I would still need to pay for the diagnostic and deductible and I said it is a recall so why do I have to pay? See my email below to Debbie Parkin at Ford on June 10, 2019
I look forward to hearing from you on this important matter.

Hi Debbie,
See the link below for the car it read power reduced to lower engine temp.
I don't think I should have to pay for diagnostic if this has been an issue for other escapes, please have a manager call me.

Transmission slipping.. Hard reverse.. Selanoid
Ford is aware of this issue. Every fords explorer has the same problems. All ford forums complain about the trans..Selanoid..
We are all trying to solve the issues and spending alot of money..Only for the problem to return again
.There is no solution because even the ford mechanics are stumped.
They are selling defective merchandise to the public..Knowing the problemsexist and make no effort to remedy
lemon laws. ..Please give remedy in recalling all explorers when before some one gets killed. This is being reported to the better business bureau..Attorneys who specialize in lemon laws and product liability ..Class action .
Unless they afgord us some remedy.. Give back to the people who rely on our vehicles daily to make our living!@before someone gets harmed. These are not toys..They are thousands of pounds of metal..!

scammed and lied! waldorf ford in maryland.
Ford has a 1st Responder incentive of $ 1000 to show how grateful they are for their service. This is how they treated us as a 1st Responder. Hypocrites!
We agreed to purchase a specific truck. Between several texts, phone calls and emails between, Eddie Bates, the sales manager, Steve Raley, the general manager and the salesman (who was new), we had come to an agreement along with us receiving a "Buyers Contract" from Eddie Bates. We drove over an hour to sign the papers. Spoke to the salesman one hour prior. We got there and they said "opps, the truck was sold last night, sorry". The salesman and Ed Bates the sales manager, "forgot" to tell us it was sold? We had spoken to the salesman twice that day and somehow still forgot to tell us the truck was sold.
They wanted to get us into the dealership hoping they could convince us to buy a different truck. Bad ethics and business practices!
Deante the salesman didn't have a name tag on or anything identifying himself as working for Waldorf Ford. He's not listed on their website.
recall needs to be issued for huge powertrain safety issue
2008 Ford Edge Limited purchased 2/14/19. No issues until now. 06/13/19: Vehicle in motion at approx 45mph on dry city road when vehicle all of a sudden makes loud/hard clank noise and immediately loses power - almost like it started towing a trailer! Loss of power, wrench light, TPS light, airbag light all come on, speedometer stops working. Pulled over, loud/hard clank sound with every gear change, P-2. I was fortunate not to get in an accident. Vehicle had displayed no issues prior to this. Dropped vehicle off at mechanic, when he looked at it this morning, vehicle is running perfect. Today is a Friday, I was supposed to go out of town (via I75) but I am going to stay local as it does not feel safe to drive on the highway - it is just a matter of time before the issue happens again based on complaints from other owners. I am greatly concerned about what appears to be a HUGE safety issue with this car. All you have to do is search "2008 Ford Edge wrench light" - There are multiple complaints about the same issue to be found all over the internet with no fixes known. I'm unsure what would fix it as I'm unsure what the issue is. The transmission? A sensor? The computer? I'm requesting a recall. Ford needs to issue a recall and fix this ASAP before someone gets seriously hurt or is killed from the extreme loss of power and inability to shift gears properly the vehicle is suffering from when this happens. I have just filed a complaint with NHTSA - Complaint [protected].
f-250 super duty
In the last 8 years I have spent over 100, 000.00 in new pickup trucks and I'm done . It all started when I took it in because of a dome lights not coming on (Shanna) said I didn't have the switch right . I wanted the LED head lights and was told by service and parts at Bill Summers I could never get them. I done some research and Fairway Ford in Canton, Oh (great guys) was more then happy to help, sent me the FORD headlights and told me to get the wire harness from Black Flames Customs because it was better then the ford harness. When I received everything I called Bill Summers Service department to put them in and program the computer, so after haggling and in not so many words called me a liar and said they were not Ford lights when I finally got it into Shana's head they were from ford as soon as they opened up the wiring harness she said it would void all my electric warranty so after some research Farway Ford told me it was against the law what Bill Summers told me there is a law President Ford signed in the 70s that says any aftermarket part will not void a warranty, so finally I get ahold or her boss Cameron at Bill Summers and said they would do it so I gave him the harness makers web and they would guide the through the program for the computer well they decided they found a short cut and the harness makers don't know what's best . I picked it up and seemed everything was good. I went on vacation and noticed the dome light was staying on again so I took it to a dealership in Wayne, Ne Arnies Ford they check it and want to reprogram the computer then the get ahold of (shana) at Bill Summer and she tells them to stop do not fix it do not change under warranty to send me back to North Platte, I get back get ahold of the wiring harness maker he sends me a program and in seconds everything was good, I knew anything that happened now Bill Summers shana would blame it on the harness even though I took it in before the harness about the dome lights. I can't believe how hard she /!they will work against me to prove me wrong. I have a Ford 1933 hot rod all ford and 2017 f-250 and I have never been as disappointed in Ford as I am after dealing with Bill Summers, what a bad mistake I made giving them a chance, 2010 when I bought my F-150 Summers wouldn't talk to me so I went to Woodhouse I wish I'd went Woodhouse again, my fault for giving the home town dealer a shot

to me
I have sent you a complaint about my rims and have never recieved a response. When i trade this pickup in the dealer is going to tell me that they have to deduct for the bad rims. this is not my fault this is a ford defect. I would like to know if anything is going to be done i know iam not the only one with this problem as i have seen many more. But there are some people who just do not care. Well i like mine looking nice and the way the rims are it really is disaponiting.
It is now 7/15/19 and I have not heard anything back yet . Does someone at the company read these?
problem with car
I have a 2011 Ford GT Mustang and the Advance Trac will come on for no reason. It applies the brakes on it's own. Very Dangerous and scary while you are driving. I learned a trick on how to temporarily disable while driving. But, every time you start the car, you need to do this trick. If you forget, brakes will be coming on. Anyway, something like this should be a recall! Ford told me $2500 to fix! Really? Is it going to take a death for a recall? Very disappointed in Ford not dealing with this dangerous issue.
Same thing happened to my Mustang GT. Ford denies it happened. Wouldn't do anything...period. Yet, there are many posts (on-line) about this problem. Can you imagine going 70 mph and suddenly your car slams on the brakes, on it own? Incredibly unresponsive manufacturer. Safety is less important than money. To deny it actually happened is to avoid massive lawsuits.
2016 ford explorer sport defect
I have had to replace not 1 but ALL 4 wheel bearings in my Ford Explorer Sport when it had ~65K miles. This work was diagnosed and repaired at Crossley Ford in Liberty, MO so I believe it to be valid. It is my wifes daily driver and not abused.
I am a multiple repeat Ford buyer and understand things wear out but not ALL FOUR basically at the same time. That tells me it was a bad lot of parts or improper installation. I am simply asking for Ford to share some of the costs to repair with me . I have written letters to the Board of Directors (after 2 failed attempts to resolve online), the BBB process to date said nothing is available after 36K miles. Which is basically the bumper to bumper warranty period. I am currently exploring all other options.
Failure to respond/resolve will result in me taking all means possible to pursue legal options as well as every possible social media outlet. Forget not ever considering a Ford purchase again.
2017 ford f150 smoke
There is an obscene amount of Blue Smoke coming from my tailpipe when starting my truck. Ford says that there is no fix and will not help with the problem. I have started posting videos of my truck starting so other potential buyers know what they are buying.
My neighbors have been complaining and want to let the police know about my truck now.
What am I supposed to do. I can not drive this truck!

wheel nuts
Reference: The works service at Wayne Pitman Ford, Guelph Ontaria 2019-06-06. Order Invoice 314899.
Lincoln MKZ 2013
This service includes the wheels being rotated.
After waiting a while it was explained that the wheels could not be removed without damaging the wheel nuts as all the nuts had become oversize. They could not explain why this would occur except to suggest possible rusting.
The only time the nuts had been torqued before this service was at the same garage when they were retorqued after the same service a year ago.
I agreed to purchase 20 new nuts after they removed the current ones but I asked for the old nuts to be given to me.
As a metallurgist, I examined the nuts and ground one to reveal what had occured. There was no rust as was suggested and it became apparrent that the problem was caused by the outer case being distorted on disassembly and reassembly and so causing the oversize condition prior to the final removal.
I noted that the covering material is only 0.7mm thick so it is very flimsy. New nuts measured 18.79mm at the top and 18.89 at the bottom.
The socket used to retorque the nuts was a standard 19mm Hex. The closest measurements on the inner hex sides was 19.42. The socket used to torque the nuts in the shop was of the same sort as the above and slightly worn but still measured at 19.38. The socket Hex was formed with 6 radiused "flats" which causes an increase in preasure at the hex corners. The resultant gap between the socket and the nut is about 0.5 - 0.7 mm which is sufficient to cause the condition which occured.
The dealer did not feel responsible for this problem despite the fact that it was their servicing which resulted in the distortion. They consider there is nothing they can do to prevent this occuring over time.
From my position I think this is a design problem which creates an inevitable failure of the nuts outer skin. In addition I must have driven this car the whole year without being able to change a wheel if required. Under some conditions this could be a hazzard to myself and passengers should the temperature be very cold.
I am not happy with being placed in this position, which without my current knowledge, could reoccur any time, or, in fact, paying $200 for the rectification.
If anyone uses a 12 point socket to remove or replace the nuts I consider that the oversizing could occur more readily due to even greater pressure at the corners.
I am asking for restitution of my costs and reconsideration of the design. This problem never occured in repect to my previous cars which have included Ford and GM.
Alan Green. BSC. Met. L.I.M
Note. The measurements were taken with a Vernier.

pressure switch b
Hello. I have a 2009 F-350 6.4L Deisel and I've had a code P0703 pop up on me.. At the time I was traveling at highway speed and in heavy traffic. When I went to apply my brakes to slow down my engine stalled out and I lost my power steering and obviously my power brakes. It was just dumb luck I was able to safely get over off the highway and coast to a stop. How is it any safer to put an option like this on a vehicle to protect the PCM? There was a recall I remember on the 7.3L on this switch or cruise control harness was there not. I think this should be recalled as well.
Thanks
ford 2005 f150 xlt
I purchased new in 2005 an F150 from Ford dealer in Chantilly, Virginia. The truck has had all maintenance done over the years and has been very reliable. Recently, the red emergency break light on the dashboard started coming off and on while driving. I had the breaks checked and it seems this F150 has a problem with the wiring or the dashboard cluster that causes this condition. I got a quote of over $1000 to fix the problem (non Ford dealership). I am hoping you can offer some help in resolving this issue for what appears to be a design issue for this model Ford. I am retired and on a fixed income and a grand is a lot of money for me. Can you direct me to a better solution? Thx.
