I purchased my 2021 RV in July of 2020 from Delmarva RV Center in Milford, DE and due to supplier challenges, I did not receive it until the end of the first week of October 2020. I was preparing to close for the season as my camper is in a seasonal site. Within one week, I discovered the overflow valve was not shut off causing water to spray from my camper. Before closing the camper, I had to have my water heater fixed, the air conditioning compressor was replaced, and my freezer had frost buildup due to a gap between the top of the door. Since this is a seasonal camper, I had to pay a service fee of $150/each visit. Service had to come out twice. Another door was ordered by the supplier. Additionally, my stove grate was bent and the supplier had to order that as well. The freezer door and grate did not become available until July of 2022. The freezer door that was sent was the wrong one (I have a black fridge and they sent a stainless-steel door) and I ended up keeping the door I had and having someone try to adjust the pins to reduce the amount of air getting in. There has been condensation seeping down into the cabinet causing damage to the wood. There is still a gap at the top of the freezer door and because of the ice buildup has to be defrosted every couple weeks. The grill that came with the outdoor kitchen got so rusty after the first use (yes, I did clean it) that I had to remove it.
I would still like to know what to do about the freezer. I already have damage to the wood in the cabinet and have to figure out how to rebuild, however if the condensation is not resolved, it will continue to cause damage. I love my camper, but I am so disappointed with the lack of quality that went into the build of this camper. This camper never should have passed inspection.
A disappointed customer
Desired outcome: Acknowledgement of the issue and suggestion on how to correct the freezer door issue.
