GameTag.com GameTag Holds Grudges-Terrible Experience that Has Lasted for YEARS

These people are absolute ###. I recently discovered a libelous posting about myself on this website.

GameTag included a huge amount of personal information, including my email address, home address, past schooling, and even a photo of myself. I gave an extremely detailed review of my poor customer service experience with GameTag on another review site, and now they've taken it upon themselves to slander me. In their final words on their "complaint" of me on this site, they are trying to extort the removal of my review from on the other site by stating that they will remove their lies if I comply. My original review and their extortion attempt have been included.

And you, GameTag / Eric Smith continue to use my own name to slander me. So in private messages via this sleazeball websie, you, GameTag / Eric Smith, offered to rescind your lies about me by contacting the administrators of this site? How'd that work out? They won't remove it, I'm guessing. You, GameTag / Eric Smith, probably never even heard back from them. And once again, you, GameTag / Eric Smith, attempted to extort the removal of this follow-up complaint before you would remove your disgusting lies about me. You, GameTag / Eric Smith are a piece of absolute filth. All of this stemmed from an honest review about garbage customer service that your company, GameTag / Eric Smith, provided, and you, GameTag / Eric Smith chose to retaliate by creating a fake complaint on this website about me, revealing my personal information in the process. You, GameTag / Eric Smith have even admitted as such in the comment areas on both of these complaints. That's what's sick; you're not even trying to hide it. You, GameTag / Eric Smith readily admit that you're ### and that you, GameTag / Eric Smith, would do this to your customers.

Everything has already been stated here:

- You submitted an account
- We couldn't come to an agreeable price
- We reached an agreement to cancel the transaction
- The transaction was cancelled
- You then continued to attack us and continue to drag this out

Like I said multiple times now, I would be more than happy to reach a suitable resolution agreement which both parties agree upon with you. Instead you blackmailed us

Just to be clear here, Eric Smith left the company in 2008/2009.

I am the person who spoke with you in the original e-mail 2-3 years ago. The one who ensured your conflicts were resolved. I am not the owner of the company.

As posted in the other thread

Why are we not allowed to write a review but you are? How is that fair for us, the customer?

Toby Large came to us wanting to sell an account that is a violation of the games terms of service to sell to begin with. Basically he wants to sell something he isn't allowed to sell under the agreement and terms of services of the game publishers. We didn't have to do business with him. He came to us. We are his customer, we are the one who is supposed to pay him. We couldn't come to an agreement on the final price in the end and the transaction was cancelled. It should have ended there.

Instead Toby Large decided to go behind our backs, write all the hurtful things he could think just to get back at us for not purchasing something he isn't even allowed to sell.

Your willingness to fight rather than resolve things is why this was posted. We didn't start this, you did. Everyone should know this. We were your customer and you treated us poorly, attacked us, and refused to communicate on a resolution to this matter. Our opinion is everyone should know that if they are doing business with you that they should potentially expect problems. Look at the way you're treating us now still today.

We of course are more than willing to work a resolution, always have been, but we can't do that unless the other party who started this is willing to do the same.

Is GameTag.com Legit?

GameTag.com earns a trustworthiness rating of 51%

Think twice and be always careful when sharing sensitive information.

Our conclusion: ComplaintsBoard’s research finds GameTag.com trustworthy, but it’s still important to be cautious. If you are considering dealing with GameTag.com, ensure you understand the risks involved before deciding.

GameTag.com has registered the domain name for gametag.com for more than one year, which may indicate stability and longevity.

Gametag.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.

Gametag.com you are considering visiting, which is associated with GameTag.com, is very old. Longevity often suggests that a website has consistently provided valuable content, products, or services over the years and has maintained a stable user base and a sustained online presence. This could be an indication of a very positive reputation.

Several positive reviews for GameTag.com have been found on various review sites. While this may be a good sign, it is important to approach these reviews with caution and consider the possibility of fake or biased reviews.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • GameTag.com's website has revealed that it is not properly optimized for search engines. This could be a red flag indicating that the company is attempting to hide its activities from the public.
  • GameTag.com protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

GameTag.com scam, account stolen

Tried to sell my gw2 account to them, after filling the questionaire they sent me an email stating:

An agent will now review your order. Please make sure all information is accurate so we can avoid any delays that could occur with your order. If all information is accurate, no additional work is required to be completed on your end. Please wait for an agent to contact you by email if we have any additional questions. Upon approval of your submission, please allow up to 12 hours for us to issue payment if you selected an instant payment option. If you are requesting a payment by Bank Transfer, Bank Check, or Western Union, please refrain from sending us any bank or address information until our agent approves your submission. Upon approval, we will request that you provide us this information on an additional confirmation page. Once you have submitted this information, please allow up to 24 hours for us to issue payment by Bank Transfer, Bank Check, or Western Union.

I tried to contact them multiple times by email and their customer service without being answered once, my account has been hacked, they stole my gold, my equipment and my personal info. After 33 days order status is still on processing (being reviewed by an agent) and no answer to my email.

Stay away from this site, multiple fake reviews online and apparently it's the same scammer from from: looted.com, WarcraftLoot.com, gamewar.com, gamepal.com, Toongo.com, Mmotoons.com, Accountgear.com, Newbville.com, Characters.net, Ffxiaccount.com, Belrionaccounts.com, WoWtrades.com, Oloot.com, Wowbuyaccount.com, Lotroaccounts.com, Accountmine.com, cityofheroesaccount.com, everquest-account.com, warcraftloot.net, mmoan.com, accountsgear.com, accountup.com, world-of-warcraft-account.com

GameTag.com Fraudulent charges and impossible to find their contact info

I never bought from the scamming website www.gametag.co. I noticed that they started to take money from me. I searched for their contact info, but nothing. I filled a lot of forms on the website, but no one replied. I’m really desperate and I have no idea what to do now. Maybe someone has any idea how to track this seller and return money back, please contact me then or leave a comment. Thanks.

GameTag.com Account selling scam

After going through the account submission process and providing the requested information, I found after waiting around a week for a response my account's password had been changed. Upon retrieving my account I found that all of the items and gold on the high level characters had been taken. Gametag.com failed to send me an email regarding their purchase of the account and have failed to reply to the several emails I have sent them over the last few weeks. They are a scam site, stay clear of them.

GameTag.com Stay away from these guys

Was happy about getting what I thought was a fair price for my FFXI account. However, I then decided I did not wish to sell my account and have been e-mailing them for over a week, and have not had any response. It says on their website that a submission can be cancelled anytime before the payment is received. Let me say that I was going to go through with selling the account and that I sent them my reply with all my information on it to get paid through paypal over TWO weeks ago... When a week went by without any type of response from them I decided to cancel. I can't even get onto my FFXI account because the information on it was changed. I still want to sell my account, and IF I ever get my info back from this website, I will do it elsewhere.

Hello,

We would appreciate it if you actually told the full story of what happened.

June 6 - An agent emailed you asking for your payment information so we send it to the right address.
June 8 - You replied letting us know the information. We then proceeded with checking your account.
June 9 - We emailed you letting you know that you never provided us a secret answer so we cannot change the password and
June 9 - We emailed you letting you know that you never provided us a secret answer so we cannot change the password and e-mail on the Square Enix Account.
June 12 - We re-emailed you.
June 15 - You emailed us instead asking for the submission to be canceled.
June 15 - We emailed your new PlayOnline Password.
June 19 - We emailed your new PlayOnline Password again.

1). We cannot sell a Final Fantasy XI Account without having the ability to change the password and e-mail.

2). If someone provided you an account without the ability to change the password, you wouldn't buy it. If you try selling it to someone else, they will likely give you grief which we didn't do at any point but if you had responded to us before complaining on here, we would have gladly assist you.

GameTag.com No response yet from them, hope it changes otherwise this is 100% a scam site

After about 10 hours I got an email asking for verification (name and address) via ID, utility bill, or Facebook. I was skeptical but did the verification via Facebook.

6 hours later the account the account information was delivered. I changed the email address and password on file with the account and it looked like all was in order. About 6 hours later I get an email from the game company that someone had requested a password change, and I started to suspect trouble. Within hours the password was changed without my knowledge and there was no way to go back and change it. The account was reclaimed by the owner.

I have contacted GameTag about a refund trying to give the benefit of the doubt that this was out of their control. No response yet from them, hope it changes otherwise this is 100% a scam site.
