Gap unethical behavior

I was in your gap store at the Park Meadows Mall and was shocked at the way one of your "managers" by the name of Bailey was treating the employees, especially a young lady named Brittany. She was down right mean to this girl, very belittling. When she asked her manager for help with a customer this Bailey flat out told her no, that she had other things to do and she would have to figure it out. I was in retail for over 15 years as an associate and different levels of management, and have never spoke or treated anyone the way that lady was treating this young girl. She should not be in a position of authority at all. What a mean lady. I will not be shopping there again and I will also let my friends and family know not to shop there. I can't believe you have someone like that working for your company.

Gap employee and manager and security guard

Hello my name is Sabina akhlaq I was at one of the gap stores located in Brooklyn 86 street. I was at the register purchasing the items I needed the employee who was ringing me up was really a rude nasty unprofessional individual she snatched the items from my hand the whole time was sucking on her teeth if I asked her a question and rolling her eyes. At the end of the transaction instead of handing my receipt to me she turned her back on me and didn't give me my receipt that's when I question her should I take my own receipt from the register I asked for the manager then when she became violent and started slamming her hands on the register my sister was with me at the time she question her why are u getting loud nasty and rude that's when she got into my sisters race and started becoming violent and loud my sister and her got into a altercation that's when the manager Lucie came and acted like a lost case the so called security guard was pretty much not doing anything he let the gap employee hit me in my face that's when the cops arrived and she left register . This gap store was the worst experience how can a violent individual like her be hired as an employee and how can gap have lazy useless manger and security guard who are not properly doing there I'm just wondering why would there be a need of an security guard if there is no safety . There were other kids and customers along with my two daughters in the store when you're gap employee was acting immature disgusting and inhuman . I would like someone with higher authority to look into this matter and take full responsibility into resolving this issue I faced I am literally left in fear.

Gap please stop printing "the gap" over the u.s. flag. it is against the law.

§3. Use of flag for advertising purposes; mutilation of flag

Gap charges incurred products never shipped

on multiple occasions orders placed were never sent. charges to my account were made immediately and weeks later still were not reversed. Items have been substituted on other orders, not even the right size. Calls are useless, customer service doesn't care. Rewards are not returned and usable. So done shopping Gap, Old navy, Banana! My resources are valuable to me, having orders charged, no attempts to ship, no notification of order status, cancellation nor any attempt to refund all monies, rewards is not acceptable. This has happened multiple times!

Gap cashier was so rude

I opened a new account with Gap I already have old navy account .
Well I went Saturday May 5th to Gap inside of the Park Place Mall in Tucson Arizona.
And I bought 3 jackets and I will receive my credit card if the store in 7 business days .
Today Sunday May 6th I went to return one jacket with the Manager Leo and the I decide to buy a pant this guy a cashier was so rude with me I asked his name hi dud not give me his name and he tus not have his tag name either .
Before to buy the pant he told me you can not return this pant because has red ticket . Then I gave to him my receipt with my new account number and my temporary shopping pass.
He asked for my Driver License ! I asked to him why ? If I am buying and I opened a new account of course I have to showed my Driver license ! I showed to him my old navy and my others credit cards of my others stores !
Well I asked for the manager it does not have sense to ask for my ID! The Manager Leo was near to him and he said yes give your ID!
Of course I have ID. I am USA citizen and Latin woman . I have had a embarrassing situation .
Please I need your apologizes and give a good training about Customer Service .

Gap trying to make a pymt

ACCT Freezes everytime I go to make a pymt... gap visa card customer service ([protected]@mail. synchronybank.com)
Never happens with Any other Credit card called [protected]
for assistance press this press that twice switched to employees line then disconnect
Called Nicole @ [protected] Very pleasant but switched me to credit card line.. another voicemail not finding my acct.. called Brandice switched me to John in Phillipines who couldn't find my acct after I gave last 4 digits of social & birth date... asked if I could pay @ store "no"... put me on hold..3 mins never came back. I spent 45 mins trying to pay a bill of $48.76 & still no resolution.. I don't appreciate giving personal info out of the country & left on hold. Please send me a paper statement so I can mail in pymt. I will no longer shop @ a GAP store.

Gap useless customer service

If you want to order from them, you need to be sure that you won't want to return the items. There's no guarantee they will have a good quality and that customer service will help you. Because most of the time they are absolutely useless and not helpful at all.
Saying this because I know how it is. I had a very simple issue, but couldn't resolve it without their participation. They didn't even answer.

Gap bad customer experience at gap - valley fair mall, ca

I was with my daughter and husband to purchase a jean for my husband. While my husband was in the trial room he asked me to get the next size. I walked to the rep for help and he walked away and pretended not to hear me. Then he sheepishly smiled and came to me n pretended not to hear. I told him this is not the way to treat customers and he didn't seem to care. He was exchanging smiles with another sales person. I complained to the manager but didn't get the feeling they cared. I feel discriminated they way they handled. Very bad experience!

Gap gap staff

I walked into a gap store in dhahran mall (dhahran, Eastern province- saudi Arabia) I didn't realize what time it was. Even if it was closing time, it doesn't excuse the rude absolutely horrible manner of the staff working at gap. They yelled at me to get out! The manager waved me of in a standoffish manner and some random employee got very verbally abusive with me while I was talking to the manager! When I told them I was going to complain about their behavior, they laughed flicked me off and told me to go ahead. I really wasn't expecting such behavior from people working at a store that I loved and shopped at all year long for myself my husband and kids. Also they behaved this way while my 2 year old daughter was next to me! The managers name is Tareq Mohammed. Please do something about this staff or I and everyone I know is never going to shop from gap again.

Gap terrible

It's literally impossible to return anything, they simply do not accept returns. It is said on their website that they actually do, but in reality things are a lot different. Gap customer service rep claimed that they don't do refunds and replacements and said that I was mistaken. I tried to get in touch with their manager but it was impossible to do. They sent me a wrong size clothing and all I wanted was to get a replacement. But unfortunately I got stuck with my order and no one from Gap tried to help me. What a huge disappointment.

Gap loss prevention pervert

I was shopping at the Gap at Chesterfield mall last week and this man was following me around everywhere. I even went into the fit rooms and he followed and Id swear he was trying to use his phone to watch me up above beccause I caught him for a brief second in my mirror and ran out saying your going down ppervert! By the time I found an employee he was gone. I complained to an empoyee who said I described their loss prevention guy, Josh. White male, glasses, tattoos on his arms and 20/30s. If gap is employing their ununiformed security officers to look under and above women changing their clothes to see if I would steal a bra and underwear then they are goinhg to far as I am concerned! Perverts ! Pererts !. This happened Wednesday around 330 afternoon. Ladies be aware of this predator!

Gap factory eagan, mn manager Aar on raped employee hires teen girls and sexually harassed them and gropes them as he done this multiple times. Aaron married with kid, commits adultery and rapes teen employee and has job security. Must be terminated but Hans refused to do so because they are friends.

Gap I will never buy anything from gap and will advise all my friends to stay away from gap

I purchased a pair of pants from Gap store. When I tried to return it to the store. I was told they can't do it because the item was a final sale. I called the customer service and was told the item was not a final sale when I purchased it but it passed 30 days. I cannot return it with my receipt. What the store should do was return this item without receipt and offer a store credit instead. However, the amount will be whatever the final sale price was. I asked the represntative over the phone to look up the final sale price but was told they couldn't do it. They told me to go to the store again and have them check the price there. People in the store "Should Be" able to check the price (not guarantee). If the people in the store don't know how to do that, they can call in the customer service center for assistance. I found it very inconvenience. I need to go back and forth to the store and call in customer service. It's such waste of time. I will never buy anything from Gap and will advise all my friends to stay away from Gap.

On-line promotions at Gap.com are confusing without clear indicators on merchandise that qualifys for discounts. When you proceed to the checkout process and enter a promotion code there is not an indicator that the merchandise does not qualify for the promotion. It wasn't until the purchase was complete that I fully realized I would not be receiving the promotional price. I called their online call center immediately and the supervisor was exteremly rude. She also indicated that babyGap Home is a vendor and not the Gap. How would a consumer know that and why would it matter when it is a tab on their website. The Gap has not given me a price adjustment. I have filed a complaint with my state Attorney General.

Gap different price between store and gap online

I have been a long time customer of Gap. I have been always trying to get a best deal-typically waiting for a sales.
The spring (or early summer collection from Gap Kid) this year, marked down on a skirt called Rossette from 29.95 to $22.99 about two weeks ago or so. Then I received a coupon valid from March 24 through April 4th or.
I took it to the store and bought this skirt. Thinking that the store clerk knew what the price was or so, and the store was about to close. so I did not check the receipt and came home. Big mistake. I reviewed it closely once I got home and realized that they charged me for the full price and applied the 30% discount coupon. I called the Gap customer service, and the service rep told me that Gap online and Gap store are two different entity that they charged differently. I have never heard that and demanded to show me the written policy. The rep went away on the phone for a while and came back to tell me that she could not find the policy but that was how it was. There is no written policy to show to a customer and claim that they can charge differently. Is this legal? The two employees from Oakridge Gap store in San Jose said that they were printing the policy then came out to tell me they could not and asked me to contact the customer service. This skirt was popular and was gone from the online store when I checked today. They knew that there was nothing I could do about it and told me that there was nothing they would do about it.

Aren't the companies supposed to inform customers of t heir policy?

Gap racist security

The undercover decoy/loss prevention agent at the Gaps at the Saint Louis Galleria is named Josh. I knows because I called up to the store one time and said my child was arrested for stealn and needed the name of the security to contact and a dumb employee told me. Nots to bright. Anyways, I was up in there with some girl friends at the Baby store and this white boy starts to follow us around the store. My friend took his picture with her video phone when she stood behind him and when he noticed Friedda said to him thats others will no whats he looks like because hes' racist. He followed us and said to me, i think you dropp some foil from your purse and i was like thats from my dinner fool! This all took place in Dec and nows all gonna know what he looks like. Thats right I about to blow his cover and nottn he can do about it. We all left after callin him out as racist and tells him that not all big purses are for thiefs!

He a white boy in his late 20's, thin, black hair, glasses, and tattoo of a snake or somethin on one of his wrists. My other friend, Jenkqua was in a few weeks ago and walked by him and mention, "Hi Josh." He ignored her but he knew he was busted.

FOrgot this. When we came into the store, he was off to the side and sure enough the alarms went off almost on cue. To tell the truth, i think he used his cell phone or something to trigger the buzzar because we dont steel! I heard that security can like mannually trigger the alarms to sound when they want so they have an excuse to watch the ###s up in there. When we left he triggered the alarm all over aagain. Sure we were picking up lots of lots of baby clothes what he must have thought was too quick than a normal group of honest respectul women but we only had like 10 min to our movie began. Gap lost out on that sale cause we must have had 3 handful of stuff BUT WE HADS $$. As we left we tossed the stuff on the floor for his ### to pick it up like the slave that he was.

Yo! I was there with my friends and I aint sayn that a thought hadnt crossed out mind to take something, hence the foil but he still set us up for entrapment when he faked the alarm as we walked in and then out again. Can u say excuse for profiling us?

speaking of foil if you want to know how to beet the sensor tags, that is to stuff your purse and bags with alumnin foil mulpplle layers. Then you bring a wirecutter or sissors or screw driver or even a lightwer and it will p0p them security devices off rather quickly. I have yet to got spryaed with ink! But, with this entrapment case, Josh the LP guy triggered the alram him self which is uncool and illegal. If we aint done nothing and not left teh store yet then he cant stopped us and THAT is why this fool's descritption is out for all to see!

Gap rude store employee

The store employee was raising her voice at a old lady, explaining something. I was on the other part of the store and I could hear her, the poor old lady, in such a nice and classy mall, was trying the tell the GAP employee something, but the Gap employee wouldnt let her finish and sent her on her way. I work at the bulding across the mall. When it I asked her a query, she looked me down and asked : What store do you work at, I replied I work in a law office across this mall. Then she said, OhI think GAP employees should be taught customer service and COURTESY, and be TACTFUL. This Gap employee would just yack aand yack, using her loud voice without listening to what the customer needs.

If you see an incident in a store from afar that seems sketchy, please don't jump to conclusions and post information on a complaints board especially if you were not directly involved. Please contact customer service and voice your opinion with the store relations department that will investigate the matter.

Gap sucks

As happens to many consumers all too often, I was convinced by a "nice" salesperson at one of the Gap stores to open a Gap credit card. I very very very rarely do this, as I hate having so much plastic in my name. But I was convinced that I'd save X amount of money on my first purchase so I did it, I opened a Gap account. So I buy $110.00 worth of jeans (on sale) and away I go. Sure enough, I get a call from GE Money telling me I owe them a payment on my card. No problem there, except after making the payment I realized that they just charged me $140.51. At first I didn't realize it, until I was doing my monthly bill filing and came across the original Gap bill --- $110.40.

I called the customer service number and sure enough, Gap charged me a late fee of approx. $30.00! I couldn't believe it: a brand new card, first purchase, and a $30.00 late fee. I asked to speak with a supervisor, who proceeded to treat me like a piece of garbage, speaking down to me like I was a child that had misbehaved. I told him to cancel my card immediately, which he asks me "are you sure, there is no annual fee." The nerve. I told him to cancel the card and he had the audacity to thank me for my business.

Now yes, I was at fault, but we're talking about 2 weeks past due, not 2 months or 2 years! Any other company would have waved the fee, but the Gap thinks it's a much better idea to rip off their customers even more than their regular priced. If this is the way Gap treats all their customers, I would suggest you never patronize Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, or Piperlime ever again. These guys have no clue as to what the words "customer service" mean. Their reps are rude and obnoxious, and they need to learn that they are not the only place in town - or on the web - to buy clothing. Personally, I will never shop with this company again, and I hope you think twice next time too!

This complaint is not a legitimate request and should not be posted on a complaints board. This is the real world America not a fairytale. Like with other companies, pay your bills on time and there would be no issues. I'm actually shocked that you took the time to type this out.

I work for Old Navy, and Gap and Banana Republic have pretty much the same card. If you are late on ANY payment on ANY credit card, whether it is 1 day late, you WILL be charged with a late fee. Take care of your bills and don't blame the company because you are irresponsible with your bills. This goes for any credit card for ANY company. If you got another fee waived from a different company for a late fee;

Number 1: Obviously you have a history of being late with bills.
Number 2: They got annoyed with you to the point of waiving it to get you to stop yelling at them.
Number 3: Again, don't blame the company for late fees if it's 2 WEEKS LATE.

Gap return policy

Gap has recently changed their return policies which are utterly crazy and make no sense. Gap Kids and Baby Gap are all in one store. If you purchase an item from the baby section, you get 60 days to return the item with a receipt. However if you purchase something from Gap kids, you get 30 days. After 30 days, you get nothing. DO NOT BUY FROM GAP ANYMORE! If the item doeesn't fit your child, they will not let you return it or even get store credit. I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM GAP AGAIN! I will never buy anything from a gap store again.

Thank you! We retailers don't need anymore customers like you! You are one person so will not hurt their business and I am sure brought in a worn dirty item you had for 6 months and tried to return it. So good for them! So sick of the whining.
