My promotional purchase (fees for dental service) was to become due on June 6/11/06. On 5/14/06 I had my credit card send an electronic payment for the entire principle of the loan. I have the confirmation number of this transaction. For some unknown reason, which GE Money Bank has refused to explain, this payment was returned to my credit card. Immediately upon the notice of its return, I sent a letter to them asking for the reason for the return of the electronic payment. I have the letter from my credit card company to substantiate this rejection. I then replied with two payments within the specified time. I was overseas at the time, and although I immediately made payment, GE Money Bank did not credit the payments to my account until June 17, 2006. Of course, this made the payment APPEAR to be delinquent. Since then, I have sent at least 9 letters, including documentation, called their toll free number numerous times. Each time I called I was told to put my complaint in writing. Each written response was followed with a form letter asking me to phone their toll free number. One representative suggested that I might FAX the information. I did this TWICE and never received the courtesy of a reply. Meanwhile, the account has been referred to a collection agency and finally to an attorney. The total amount GE claims that I now owe in finance charges and late fees is $2,126.76 ALL IN INTEREST and LATE FEES. Although the federal and state consumer regulations state that the creditor must answer written complaints within a specified time, this has yet to be done.

What happen when it's not YOUR FAULT. My mother is 80yrs old. She always paid her bills on TIME. She sent in a MO for the month of November in which GE Money Bank had not received per representative. She called numerous of times and LATE FEES and INTEREST was applied to the regular balance owed. That same MO was cashed by GE Money Bank on February 12. I response to the person that GE Money Bank is NOT unfair, evidentially you work the the company.

So she sent the payment.. It was NOT recieved by GE.. so she recieved a late fee and interest on the late fee.. then later the payment was finally recieved way after the payment was due.. So clearly this is not her fault or GEs fault. I understand its not her fault that it got lost in the mail. It is not GEs fault either though. If this was her first LF they would have waived it. It would be wrong of me to assume that she sent the payment late and lied about sending it on time.. It would also be wrong for you to assume that GE had it the whole time and just decided not to cash it. Clearly this was a mail error. It is not uncommon. I think a lot of problems would be resolved if consumers stopped assuming companies are giving them the run around and just accept the fact that things happen. GE dosnt HAVE to waive any fee. they could just throw up their hands and make no exceptions. They know though that mistakes do happen that is why they allow a late fee removal one time in a 12 month period. That is more than fair considering that do not have to do even that. They do have to draw the line somwhere though to protect from the people that just try to get out of paying everything.

ooooooh i see well excuse me. I didnt realize that it was ok for you to complain but not ok for someone to respond to it and let you know that your claims are absurd . I forgot that its ok for you to say something but not ok to get a reply back. Grow up you hypocrite. That is exactly what a site like this is hear for. You get the chance to complain as a consumer. I am a consumer sick of lazy people like you blaming companies for your own mistakes. I am able to voice that and will continue to do so. Hypocrite

Unbelievable all the complaints against GE Money Bank here. Thanks to all of you complaint writers - I only submitted my application, and not doing business with them... yet. If it weren't for all your complaints, I would be a victim too.

At a gas station, one of their solicitors walked up to my car and offered me a deal - a $5.00 discount on gas purchase that day - 20% discount for a month, and future purchases with 10% discount.

So I gave the solicitor my completed application form (for Chevron and Texaco credit card). About 3-4 months later (MUCH longer than a normal application takes), I received an unsigned letter from GE Money Bank, with no name and no phone number, saying they could not verify my credit number, phone or address. This is absurd! I've had the same contact information for two years, my credit score is 821 out of 850 (nearly perfect), and they cannot verify my identification? And won't give me the credit card. Unbelievable.

The letter asked me to write them at their El Paso, TX address with questions about their letter or their decision to deny me credit.

I am soooooo grateful to all of you who wrote the complaints online here, and I will absolutely NOT do any business with these illegitimate thieves.

I will be contacting Chevron and Texaco to see if they are aware that GE Money bank is soliciting their business with such unethical business practices.

To whom it may concern:

The reason for this letter unfortunately is not to tell you that I am not a satisfied customer. I had the pleasure of meeting your sales associate Matt on September 26, 2010 where I found a stainless steel counter-depth refrigerator, washer and gas dryer that I fell in love with. Matt was very helpful in explaining all the features as well as getting me setup for what I thought would have been a seamless delivery.

On October 3, 2010 at 3:43pm I received a phone call for the driver of your delivery company to inform me that they were near by to complete my delivery. I was excited and had a friend at home waiting in my garage to greet them and direct them to the appropriate rooms for delivery. The delivery had already began when I arrived approximately 8 minutes after the initial phone call, I proceeded up stairs in order to speak with the delivery men about the process. I was greet by two men who did not introduce themselves and when I asked about them possibly wearing booties, they responded because due to my wood flooring that would not be possible for safety reasons. I completely understood that portion, the men then proceeded to install the refrigerator and then began to bring the dryer up first. When they got the dryer into the laundry room they also noted to me that my drip pan for my washer was incorrectly installed from the builder. I was not happy about that and called my agent right away. When I spoke with my agent she informed me that she would take care of that portion and for me not to worry, but if I wanted to buy one and install it so that they can install the washer that I would reimbursed. With that being said I contacted my father-in-law who was able to drop it off, but not knowing how to install. I asked the delivery men there if they would be able to install the drip pan and they informed me that would not be possible. I conceded to the fact at that point I would not be having my washer installed on that day. The events that followed however that lead me to believe that had I been a man or perhaps Latino I would have been treated differently. While the men continued to install my dryer they informed me that they also had a delivery across the drive way with a neighbor who happened to be a Latino male that was also having a washer, dryer and refrigerator installed. When the men were almost complete with the install of my dryer they found that the dryer did not work at ALL! No POWER what so ever! When that was discovered it was simply said to me " good luck but you have to get customer service to come out here an help you, there is nothing left for us to do." When that was said I proceeded to walk down stairs to get some fresh air and I began to watch as they delivered my neighbors appliances, and when getting to the washer install they ran into the same problem. Only this time my neighbor went and got a drip pan, which I physically saw the delivery guy take inside and state in spanish that he would take care of it for him. This shows me that if I had been not only a man, but a Latino man I would have had my washer drip pan installed. After sitting in my car and attempting to call customer service with no success, the head of the drivers sent his co-worker over to speak with me, I suppose I was not worthy of his conversation. And the driver who had no idea on where, what or why I was signing asked me to sign papers with no explanation. I then asked them what the papers were and what should I do with my dryer that was BROKEN and my washer sitting in my garage, his response "I don't know, let me ask." The driver then walked to the lead driver and again instead of coming over to talk with me he sent the driver that had to customer service experience it seems to relay a message from him stating that "he did not know and I needed to find the number to customer service on my own and call." At this point the only thing I could do was say ok before I burst into tears based on my frustrations.

The following morning I called customer service again with having success this time I was given the number to a repair facility with the words being stated to me that there was nothing else that could happen except for me to call for repairs. I then asked to be transferred so I could file a complaint and I was hung up on. I then called back and spoke with a customer service person that before I could ask his name, I was transfered. To then be put in contact with another person who began to ask me a question and before I could answer I was transfered. To then the last young lady I spoke to and she stated her name was "Ally" with a very rude tone. I then proceeded to explain to her what I had just been through and she began to tell me "life is hard bad things can happen there is no need to complain". I was so upset at this point and I stated to her that "I am sorry that I have had a horrible experience and I am trying to explain it to you and it seems to be a bother to you.' Her response being that I was frustrating her and she placed me on hold for FIVE minutes to only return to ask me "are you calmed down now?" Wow I could not believe I was being treated like this by someone who is a part of a company that I paid for a service. In the end she told me I need to call the outlet store that there was nothing she could do and then hung up the phone without a simple good-bye.

I then phone the outlet store in which I made my purchase and thank heavens I finally spoke with someone who cared about me and wanted to help and apologized. Heather the manager at the Santa Ana location who was warm friendly and informed me that I could exchange my washer and dryer for a different set and that she would make sure that I was well taken care of, after I had rambled on about my experience. What a relief, but I must say that this would lead me to re-think my future purchase coming from Sears or Sears Outlet if this is how people are treated. I work for BMW and if we treated people that way we would not be one of the top luxury brand makers in the world! I do not expect people to wall over fire-pits for me, but to treat me the way I treat them with respect and if I am a customer that is a little disheartened and I do not swear at or threaten the employees should be willing to do what it takes to make a customer happy. This was not the case in this situation and I have great reservations about the products now that I own. The economy now is not the best so to spend this much money on appliances says a lot about a person, but will definitely affect my future purchasing thoughts. I would like to be contacted by a manager or above regarding this matter. I have been treated like a peasant, like I stole these items and did not pay for them and regardless if I spend $20, $2800 or $28000 people who are customers should all be treated with respect and like human beings!

Sincerely,

Kimberly V. Kelly

I called on 10/13/10 because I inadvertely paid GEMB a payment that was suppose to go to my car payment. I called and spoke to a Roger. After three times trying to verifying my address, he finally got it right. At the end, I asked to speak to a supevisor. He would not transfer me until I told him why. So I did. Supervisor gets on the phone and I tell her. She said, "Sir people make mistakes." I said, "Yes, I understand that but three times." She said, "Sir you are rude for repoting something like this." I said, "I am the customer and I want to make sure a refund was issued to me and that it was going to the right address. How is that being rude." She again told me I was a rude person and this call was done. Then she hung up.

I called back to get another rep. I told them I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She asked why and I told her. This supervisor named Gaberial istened to what I had to say. However, when I went t clarify something he said because I wasn't understanding, he proceeded to tell me that I was a rude person and that he already answered my question. I said, "Sir, how is me asking questions to clarify something you said being rude." He said, "You are a rude person, I wish you a good day. Good bye." Yet he didn't hang up. So I kept talking. He came on and again told me I was rude.

I can not believe GEMB has people like this working for them.

Sir/Madam,

I, Madhusudhan Puthran, had taken a cash card from GE Money. My card number is [protected]. I had withdrawn the amount of Rs. 6000/- only. I have already made the payment of Rs. 14, 500/-. I had received a call from Mr. Umesh from GE Money on 11-05-2008 that if you pay a settlement amount of Rs. 6000/- your account will be settled. So I paid the amount of Rs. 6000/-. (receipt number 209647 The collection person had not brought a settlement letter with him, he told me that it would be sent in one week’s time. So he mentioned on the receipt as “FINAL SETTLEMENT.” He also told me that if anyone else asks for a settlement, I should not pay him. From the next month they are pestering me to make payments and levying me with monthly charges. I called them up for the settlement letter too. But they were asking once again money to settle the matters.

They called up my mother’s residence and said to her that her son had a train accident. My mother is a heart patient. What if something have had happened to her?. She is not well from that day onwards. She is always got the fear that will her son return back or not. Once he had called up my wife and threatened her that we will keep track of Mr Madhusudhan and see what we do to him. They told that they will go legally. So I told them that when I have already made the settlement I don’t have any fear. But then too they are just stuck on one matter. You pay once again and settle. This has been going on for the last 2 years. I was not here as I had got a posting outside Mumbai. My family is suffering due to this.

I don’t know what to do.

I would really appreciate if you kindly help me in this matter. My family is mentally troubled by all of this.

after reading all of your complaints I realizes I had been sucked into the same problem with shopping channel QVC (GEMB) and there is no way to talk to them, people to talk to do not exist. They front money to companies that can not carry their own loans or credit accounts. In the mean time in this poor economy they take advantage of trusting people.Beware of anything that sounds to good to be true or possible..

We started this account with a furniture purchase last year (promotional rate). They called us two weeks later saying we were late with payment and asking if we wanted to make a payment over the phone. We had received no bill, and had put down a deposit, so how it could be late we couldn't figure out. We made the payment and eventually they cancelled the late payment fee (but charged us a "phone payment" fee).
I wanted to pay it off right there, but my husband wanted to take advantage of the promo, so I put it on autopay. I just looked at this month's bill, and the promo balance was due to days ago between billing cycles. You can't pay online (only monthly autopayments)- so not only do they sneak them in between payments, they make it harder to pay. You can't get through the phone line and only one phone option gets you a person (pay by phone for an "phone payment fee"). They have no address online for contacting them, no branches that you can take a payment to. They've done what they can to trap you. I've mailed a check but I've also changed the autopay to full amount. Of course they have a disclaimer that if you make a change to autopay.. it may not take effect by the next billing cycle. They love not getting paid.

I too wish I had come here and read up on GE Money Bank. My story is that I used them in Nov. of 2009 to finance my furnace. My agreement stated that I had until Dec. 9 2010 to pay off the balance. Well, I was down to $3280 on Nov.22 2010 and arranged to transfer the balance to Chase Bank but now before the transfer went through the balance has gone to $4237.93! There is no explanation visible on the website for this $957 increase, but I assume that Chase notified them that the transfer was coming and they hit me with a ridiculous interest rate and fee before it was applied. Their actions are criminal in my opinion, and from what I have read here it is their common practice. So, beware do not finance anything through GE Money Bank. I never will again and intend to make complaints every way I can--attorney generals, BBB, finanace and trade commision--the works.

I'd say I'm amazed to find so many sites and complaints about GEMB, but I'm not. When we opened the Care Credit account over dental issues, I admit that we were hardly perfect getting payments to them on time. Over the last year, however, we've moved to monthly payments being made automatically to our checking account that are always at LEAST the minimum payment requested by them. I've been conserned that no matter how much we pay the balance never seems to improve even when we do pay over the minimum.

What finally set me on edge was getting phone calls from them daily in excess of 3-5 calls a day. At first, I spoke to the rep, and they said that yes, they see we're making our payments in full and on time, but that wasn't good enough. They want us to make larger payments. I said it just wasn't possible. As it got closer to Christmas, I even added in the "hey, it's CHRISTMAS - you ARE getting paid, please stop asking for more." The calls have, if anything, increased in numbers. I cringe whenever my phone rings and when I finally get fed up and answer, it's the same garbage all over again.

I lost my job at a call center because of the company outsourcing to India, so I admit a small amount of dissatisfaction when dealing with non-American, non-English speaking call center reps. however, I am now disabled and on a fixed income and I have explained - both gently and forcefully that as long as I am making my monthly payments on time, they have no right to harass me like this. The response I get it usually rude.

I've had it. I've already advised all of my friends and family via facebook to throw away any credit applications by this bank. It seems almost futile to start the complaint letter marathon to these people. I'm not sure what I need to do to make them happy, and they're making me MISERABLE. After the first of the year, I think my plan will be to pay them off ASAP and pray they let me get them out of my life.

I purchased at least 2 out of 3 computer related items that were financed through G.E. Since the interest rates were mounting at ridiculous rates, plus tons of late charges, I called all three creditors and demanded they stop their usurious practices or I would discontinue all payments as I am on a very low disability income. I also communicate the same message to Chase Credit Card services. Now I owe 2 to 3 times the original balances, which I contest on moral grounds (usury, as any amount of interest is consider usury. Particularly when charged to a brother, whether a family member or a church member. I personally know people who do that.) In any event I stopped their collection attempts by changing my phone number and simply ignoring the duns until I believe they have gone away completely now. (this was about 2 years ago.) Go eat a bBabe Ruth guys!

GE Money Bank are crooks. They apply most of my payment to interest and very little to the principle. Everyone needs to complain to the Federal Trade Commission! The way this company operates should be illegal, if it is'nt already. But their way of doing business, ( ripping off the consumer), should looked into by the authorities. I will gladly join a class action lawsuit, also!

GE French door Refrigerator Freezer, Icemaker in freezer overflows and water enters freezer 2" layer of ice forms on bottom of freezer. The 1st Repair person, 12/17/2010, unfroze the icemaker, thereby treating the symptom and not the problem. Two weeks later problem reoccurred. Placed a second service call 1/6/2011 and had to speak to a supervisor after not getting an acceptable answer. GE Service Protection Advantage got back to me well after 2-3 day certified response time. Finally I was able to get an appt for today 1/23/2011. This morning I received a call from a "dishwasher" repair person, to verify my address. When I told him it was a freezer problem he informed me I had to call the company and inform them that they sent the wrong person, and that maybe there was a refrigerator repairmen also scheduled. I called and found out the A&E Factory Service sent out the wrong person and that they couldn't send someone out until tomorrow, thus requiring me to take off 2 days of work. Again, I needed requested to speak to a supervisor. GE has stepped in and GE is sending a service representative. Getting a high priced appliance repaired shouldn't be this difficult.

You should have taken the phone represenative who offered the card security to you, up on their offer.
With card security if the primary or joint card holder experience: unemployment, leave of absence, disability, loss of life, nursing home care, terminal illness, or a trip to the hospital (2 days or more) then your minimum monthly payment or full account balance UP TO $10, 000 would be removed. The monthly fee is $1.66 per $100 of the ENDING MONTHLY balance. Which means, any time you dont have a balance you arent charged for the program.
So many ppl think that their insurance will help, or that they have somehting with their bank that will help. NOT THE CASE. This program is beyond easy to qualify for. YOU WERE OFFERED IT AT THE TIME OF CARD ACTIVATION. If you decided to say no, and cost the operator his/her job, (yes, they are fired when you say no. ) (even though YOU WERE OFFERED TO TRY IT FOR 90 DAYS AND SEE IF YOU LIKE IT WITH A 100% FULL REFUND IF YOU CHANGE YER MIND) then you owe whatever. Dont expect GE to suddenly be all like poor you. You had yer chance. YOU declined. Tough LUCK

GE Money is disgusting. They design their bill so that you dont notice that your promotional deferred interest is about to expire..if they were decent they would alert you in a manner that draws attention on the bill one or two months before... instead the information is difficult to understand, see...they need to post a big red exclamation warning on the bill the month or two before that expiration date.

I wasnt even aware that I had one of these deferred interest accounts from that disgusting store Sleepy's who I had to fight with the CEO of that disgusting company who failed to replace a defective bed that I bought for my elderly parents. I owed all of $250.00 from an original bill of $1400.00 paid faithfully and because I didnt see the January 9th expiration to pay the final $250.00 off, GE MOney grub Bank charged me $204.00 additional dollars Now I owe $404.00 instead of the final $250.00..

GE disgusting bank should redesign their billing statement so that you dont miss this crucial information instead it looks so generic all I see is the remaining balance. How many millions of dollars are they making on people who dont understand or miss this information because of the way they design their bill? They are evil deceitful, mean spirited, unethical hated. If there is a Higher Power I have no idea why it lets these evil people get away with this and all the other evil people who are getting away with the worst sinful behavior

GE money runs CARE CREDIT also and they charge so many finance charges in general that no matter how much and how long you pay you can never pay them off, you'll be paying them forever, unless you just pay the balance in full. The finance and interest charges are out of this world! Don't use CARE CREDIT it is a huge rip off. So far I have paid about 4, 000 on a 3, 000 loan and they say I still owe 3, 035!

In November of 2010 I opened an account with Carecredit through GE Money bank. I've had nothing but problems since. I made one purchase at my eye doctor with the card for 130 dollars. I paid the amount in full by the due date. GE Money claims they never received my payment. They then added a late fee onto the next statement. I paid this also even though I shouldn't have had too. GEMB is still claiming I never paid them and has not sent me a statement for the past two months, but reported I was 30 and 60 days late to all of the credit bureaus. I contacted the Office of Thrift Supervision a few days ago, and am waiting for them to process my complaints against this horrible company. I will definitely be closing my account after OTS investigates my complaints. Never do business with this company!

Consumers need to first find out what type of bank they are chartered as, i.e., State, National, Federal Savings, etc. This will determine who their federal regulator is. Then letters can be addressed to that regulator, although most are in cohoots with their bank subjects (yes, overpaid bureaucrats serving the interests of the very subjects they are charged with regulating). But fraud is fraud and we may get somewhere with our State Attorney Generals or the new federal bureau of consumer protection.

This company are really misleading and I can't believe that with a $504 balance they will add an interest charge of 349.36. I tried to talked to the account manager and told her I want to pay it off just take off the interest charge. She was so persistent telling me the promotional was expired. I keep telling her that the Martinez Dental didn't finish my teeth until the end of March meaning my promotional date should expire at the end of March 2011. She keeps telling me there's nothing she can do I have to pay the interest charge. Here I am trying to be nice to them paying them off explaining to them I got a misunderstanding with my dentist, what I know they will start the charge after they finish my teeth so obviously the GE credit card start the charge the first time I see my dentist and quote how much I need to pay. This is not right. I would like to join with you people to sue this company. I tried to pay my bills on time and I never thought there's people like them who can't understand your point. All they insist is that, they have right to charge whatever they want to charge. I will file my complain to the BBB so that this company will learn their lesson.

Bought my GE Profile King Capacity washer 3+ years ago. Three weeks ago starting making this ungodly noise when washing and rinsing. Also dumping water out bottom. Called for repairs as I have a home maintenance program. They sent out a Sears repairman. They replaced the tub, shaft etc at a cost of $703 to the home maintenance company, ona $487 washing machine! AMAZING! Now 3 weeks later it is dong it again. This time they want $500 to fix it. For the love of Pete I could have had a new washer, dryer and a microwave! I am at a loss and want a new NOT GE washer...

The phone number to voice your displeasure with GE Money Bank's ability to screw over a family's finances even though GE was a main recipient of 'Bail Out" funds from your taxes and payed ZERO corporate taxes for 2010, is [protected].

GE Money Bank, a division of GE, receives Bail out funds and pays Zero Taxes in 2010 but will charge you 29.99% on your principal. To some families that could be devastating. Just by asking their reps they feel they are totally justified. What kind of person does that take?
I paid in $100 per month on their recommendation for over 20 months only to discover only $360 was applied to principal.

They can be reached at [protected] if you wish you voice your displeasure

"I keep telling her that the Martinez Dental didn't finish my teeth until the end of March" Loan 101.. when you take out a loan, it goes off of the date you are funded that amount not the date you finish whatever you were using the money for.. On the top of each statement in big bold letters, we list the amount due, the date to pay it off to avoid interest and the amount of interest that will be charged if not payed off by that date. We loaned you money under specific terms, its not too much to ask to have you maintain your part of the agreement.

Never do business with GE Money Bank. They are a multi-million dollar federation that is only looking out for #1 while treating you like #2. JetRetry2009 works for GE Money Bank and receives compensation and benefits from her employer. She has to defend the company and the many men above her in the company that she lavishly services on a regular basis. I don't know if it is so much cheating as much as it is GE Money Bank failing to properly train their managers and customer service representatives. When you have a complaint with GE Money Bank, you file a report with the Office of Thrift Supervision. Not one of GE Money's employees will know that or tell you that. If you have money stolen from your account (not my case), then you should say something to the FDIC which three of the terribly English-speaking customer service reps knew anything about, nor did their manager, Dennis, who sat in his comfy chair in his corner office in El Paso, Texas telling stories about how all banks are charging 22.9% interest and that his employer (JetRetry2009's employer) is not alone. Dennis should speak to Bank of America. They only charge me 8%--an amount someone who has never been behind on a payment and has flawless credit would be extended. . . . . . . .unless you have the misfortune of doing business with GE Money Bank.

I am sure JetRetry2009 enjoys her employer. They are always right. They can never make a mistake. They are gods. I am sure she is also enjoying many company perks and many company men being the female on the floor amid a bunch of overzealous Jeff Immelt wannabes. I am sure her interest rate is no where near 22.9% even if she had to file a bankruptcy and a repossession. It is easy to make payments when you have the company on your side. Again, GE Money Bank only cares about GE Money Bank. They care about their own. They care about their hardworking managers like JetRetry2009 who work feverishly to sucker poor, unsuspecting souls into accepting terms she knows will eventually lead that poor person slowly into paralyzing debt, foreclosure, repossession, or bankruptcy. Really, GE Money Bank has much more to achieve from the failure of their consumers than they do from their success. They want you to fail. They want their customers to default.

By the time I have paid off GE Money Bank, I will have paid over $9, 000 on a $4200 loan--the consequence of not getting the whole story regarding a contract even from their customer service reps who know as little about your contracts than you do! That's scary! GE Money pays millions of dollars for high-priced lawyers, so do not expect to beat them, but it does me worthwhile to say that they (Ge Money) are hoping you will join them in a game of "money borrowing" in which they want to win, and they want you, the consumer, to lose.

JetRetry2009 will spin tales of GE Money Bank glory many times over because she works for them. What she will not tell you, is that her loans are not really loans, and she will never see the outrageous interest rates that average Joes who are not employed by GE Money Bank are always dealt. In fact, it is just another company perk for her to get a special interest rate by doing business with her boss, and when she is not grabbing coffee for her superiors or making her rounds giving head, she is busy working the system to the advantage of GE Money Bank to help her move up the ladder while screwing you over.

We all have a hard lesson to learn. GE Money Bank is a selfish, greedy, and evil company. Yes, they have the pleasure of raping us now, but they will not be able to continuing raping ME forever. Eventually, I will pay them off and rather than send that last payment by automatic check, I will send a check in the mail. Attached will be a note which simply reads "Go to Hell, Ge Money Bank" which will likely be read by no one more than an Orlando, FL-based payment center employee. However, that message will still stay in my heart and serve as a reminder to me of the disdain I will always carry for an incompetent and dishonest and unqualified company for my business. On that day GE Money will no longer have my business, nor will they ever be worthy to obtain it again.

JetRetry2009, you said,

"On the top of each statement in big bold letters, we list the amount due, the date to pay it off to avoid interest and the amount of interest that will be charged if not payed off by that date." On the top of my statement it says "Promotional Interest Rate UNTIL PAID OFF." You cannot tell me that 22.9% interest is a promotional interest rate. Do not give me that crap. I know GE Money does not give a crap about me, so your sticking up for a multi-million dollar corporation makes you look like a glory [censored] holed up in your Ivory tower.

I got a HBC Mastercard (outsourced to GE Money) bill with my last name incorrect and I mean COMPLETELY wrong so I called to rectify, they stated that they would have to ask some security questions and wanted me to chose which banking institution I used. They gave me four choices, none of which was correct so I stated that I did not bank at any of those locations. The reply was that I MUST chose one to proceed with the call. I refused and was told that my account was frozen for 30 days. So I wrote and letter and received a response "When we have completed our review of your account, we will send you a written response with the actions taken on your account" I waited four months and no letter. I called the number on the letter and was told that THEY DID NOT SEND THAT LETTER! When I quoted that I was waiting the written response, I was told that it wasn't them that sent the letter and that my account was still "on hold" pending the security questions...for four months? I asked how to contact the letter sender, they said I could not because my account was frozen. And then in the next breath the supervisor stated that it is very common to accidentally type over persons name on a credit card account statement and it happens all the time...DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. If offered credit through GE money...it would be in your best interest to refuse.

Sir,
My Complaint sent to GE is given below which is self explanatory. You are requested to kindly help me in this connection.

Subject: Credit Card No.[protected] - wrongly levied RENEWAL CHARGESDESPITE REJECTION OF RENEWAL

Sir,
My above mentioned Credit Card got expired in the month of July, 2010 and I was interested for renewal but your office rejected my request for renewal and as a result I did not paid any Annual Charges of Rs.499/- towards renewal of my above mentioned credit card.

I paid all the dues in time and the last payment was made through two different cheques after consulting with your Customer Card Officer and getting assurance from him that no extra charges will be levied.

It is deeply regretted, that after sometime (3-4 months) despite assurances, I received a telephonic call on 23.12.2010 from your customer care officer demanding to pay Rs.16-1700 for not paying Annual charges plus penalties. When they warned me that legal action will be taken if this payment is not made as a result of which I agreed to pay Rs.1600/- to GE and waited for 3-4 months but no body from GE turned up. I was very much depressed at that time because in the first week of December my father died.

Now, in the first week of April again your customer care officer contacted me and warned me to pay Rs.3500/- or legal action will be taken.

Sir, it is humbly requested that I was never at fault even then I agreed to pay Rs.1600/- fault was on the part of GE officials but they pressed upon me to pay the amount. But when I agreed, they never contacted after that.

This time they are demanding Rs.3500/- from me but despite my no fault they are warning me and threatening to face dire consequences if this amount is not paid.

You are requested to look into it at the earliest and requested to waive off this amount of Rs.3500/- immediately as despite my interest, my Card was never renewed. On the contrary I am being asked to pay the amount for which my plea for renewal was rejected.

If this undue amount of Rs.3500/- is not waived off, I will forward this grievance letter to RBI and other organizations.

This is my humble request to waive off the amount at the earliest and inform.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

(VIPIN KUMAR)

GE had to replace our 2002 refrigerator doors because of a mositure problem this was in response to a lawsuit. The doors were replaced and a short time after the water dispensor started freezing up. We had a heater installed and as of 2010 the water dispensor is not working. GE offered a credit towardsa new refrirgator of a 400.00 to relace the doors. The problem with these doors has still not been resolved. Why would I want a credit towards another GE rpoduct when their products are failing.

You need the documents that state your debt was fraudulent (which you should have kept) you need to then get the contact info of the three credit bureaus and have them mail you a credit bureau dispute form from each company. Equifax, Transunion and Experian and you need to have Chevron file a credit bureau dispute on your behalf too. The issue is you have waited a long time, so finding paperwork is going to be a hassle so make sure you keep a record of every call and photocopy all documents you have sent.
