My promotional purchase (fees for dental service) was to become due on June 6/11/06. On 5/14/06 I had my credit card send an electronic payment for the entire principle of the loan. I have the confirmation number of this transaction. For some unknown reason, which GE Money Bank has refused to explain, this payment was returned to my credit card. Immediately upon the notice of its return, I sent a letter to them asking for the reason for the return of the electronic payment. I have the letter from my credit card company to substantiate this rejection. I then replied with two payments within the specified time. I was overseas at the time, and although I immediately made payment, GE Money Bank did not credit the payments to my account until June 17, 2006. Of course, this made the payment APPEAR to be delinquent. Since then, I have sent at least 9 letters, including documentation, called their toll free number numerous times. Each time I called I was told to put my complaint in writing. Each written response was followed with a form letter asking me to phone their toll free number. One representative suggested that I might FAX the information. I did this TWICE and never received the courtesy of a reply. Meanwhile, the account has been referred to a collection agency and finally to an attorney. The total amount GE claims that I now owe in finance charges and late fees is $2,126.76 ALL IN INTEREST and LATE FEES. Although the federal and state consumer regulations state that the creditor must answer written complaints within a specified time, this has yet to be done.

I went through most all of what I read about this abusive company. Here's how you get resolution. File a complaint with The Office of Thrift Supervision of the US Department of the Treasury. I did and they folded like a cheap suit in no time flat. GE Money is afraid to have to take these complaints to an agency who will hear the merits of both sides. They know they will lose not only that one complaint but will be forced to settle up with the thousands upon thousands of people they scam.

Acctually ScottyPressley. What I said was 100 percent true, and valid. Maybe you should take responsibility for your actions instead of trying to make excuses for yourself. If you would pay your bill on time then there would be no issue. You can not expect the Finance Company to hold your hand while you use the restroom. They did there part by loaning you the money, now do your part by not only paying it back on time, but by abiding by the terms and conditions you signed for.

Letter I wrote to Mr.Begor:

Mr. Begor:

Starting in February of 2011, I have experienced a glitch in your CareCredit website which reverses payments I have made. When I call customer service, the claim is that my bank account / routing information was not entered correctly. By this time (usually 5-7 days later) I have accumulated a late fee on my account which is now an accumulated balance of around $140.00. Also, due to this problem, I have made payments over the phone with my debit card and been charged $15.00 per transaction, which is half of my total minimum payment amount.

I called my bank to verify that all of the numbers I had were correct and I checked all of my bank statements. I have also verified, taken screen shots from my computer, and sat down with my Attorney to show him the payment process. During this time, the confirmation page (which has written verification of the account numbers entered) shows that the numbers are exactly the same as the ones on my personal bank account statement.

This error has occurred every time I have made a payment this year. I have also done some research to find out that I am not the only person experiencing this problem. After several calls I have made to your company to have this resolved I have only been redirected and then hung up on.

Another problem I have noticed the last few times I have logged in to your website, the forum for my bank account information was already populated with incorrect numbers. Even though I reversed the numbers and entered my correct information, the payment was yet again reversed.

I would also like to know why every other company I submit a payment to sends me a Receipt of Payment Confirmation notice right away and your company sends me a "Request for Payment Sent" notice which requires me to check my back account to verify that it has gone through. Then, I have to check it every day and wonder at what point it will be late, usually 3 days in my experience. By this time, I have another late fee and I am being harassed by incessant phone calls at all hours of the day and night and from different phone numbers telling me my "account needs attention".

This is extreme business malpractice and an attempt to extort your customers. I will not stand for the stress and frustration which this scam has brought upon me and my family. I am unemployed and you have been fraudulently stealing from me when all I have tried to do is make my payments. This is your last chance to refund my late fees and allow me to pay off the correct amount that I owe before I join several hundred people in a class-action lawsuit against your company.

I took my kitten to the vet (which later unfortunately died anyways). The bill was over one hundred dollars and I only had eighty dollars on me so I asked about the "credit" I could apply for. They set me up with Credit Care and I was going to pay twenty five dollars a month. However, I jumped online and was shocked to see so many horrible reviews about Ge Money Bank. That scared me. I paid my balance in full, closed the account and changed my address on their website so that they couldn't find me. I am also going to close out my account with Fifth Third just so they can't make any unauthorized transactions which I have heard that they do. I am grateful for reading all the complaints because I got out why I could. Thanks and sorry to anybody else who might be stuck. It's hell, aint it? Always having that on your mind?

I paid my GE Money Bank account off and I noticed there was still withdrawing payments for town months until I noticed. I called there customer service number and they said they would send me a check for the "credit" balance. I also CLOSED the account! The next month the withdraw still happened again! So again I had to call there customer service number and be hold for a long time to get my money back. No apology or nothing. The customer service Rep. also told me that the payments were setup by my bank. I called my bank and they said there was NO transactions set. Taking my money while NOT authorized and lying, what a company. I will not even by GE light bulbs anymore. I asked for an extra $40 for the trouble not once but twice and They would not do that for me.

I purchased a GE washer model wpe6100g2wt, on 8/17/08. I had to call the repairman on 9/10/08, the machine needed a new motor and transmission. It was replaced10/17/08. Today, 11/1/08, it has started to leak again as before, only now it is spraying water out of the top onto the controls. I would not recommend buying this model, but as long as they want to fix it every month, its there money.
I know its under warranty, so go ahead and fix it, fix it every month, I bought the extended warranty for 2 years...According to the invoice I signed to show they fixed it, it would have cost me $250.09. I figure if it breaks every month for the next 3 years it will cost GE $9003.24, this does not include inflation...so GE thanks for the most expensive washer you make!

On March 24th 2011, my mother made a purchase at Old Navy in the amount of $19.61 and used her Old Navy credit card. However, she didn’t get any bills from them until June 2011. She even forgot about the purchase she made. I believe it is not her responsibility to make sure that they send her a statement. The bill that she got in June was in the amount of $76.30. My mother was shocked and had me send an email to Old Navy customer service. I was referred to contact GE Money bank at [protected] for assistance. I tried to call the number I was given numerous times, waited on hold for fifteen/twenty minutes but could not hold any longer due to the lack of time. Therefore, on July 5, 2011 I made a payment online in the minimum amount of $36.50. Then, my mother got another statement in July. The amount that she owed went up to $113.10. I called them again and talked to them three times, but I was told that they never received any payments. However, on the statement it says that they received a payment of $36.50. I asked them to waive the late fees because there are, in fact, no late fees, and my mother has already paid more than her original purchase was.
Today, my mother received a letter from a collection agency concerning the debt owed. This is the first time she is accused in not paying her bills on time. My mother mailed a check payment to this nonsense company in the amount of $113.10 today, 07/22/2011. I want them to refund her late fees and let my mother get them out of her life. GE Money bank is a nightmare for both, me and my mother. Beware of these monsters. I'd also be interested in joining a class action law suit.

I purchased a new GE Monogram built in refrigerator. It had fourteen service calls when the GE repairman stated that it had been wired incorrectly from the factory and was never cooling properly. He said that due to the fact it was a refrigerator only it would be difficult for someone too notice the lack of cooling. The faulty wiring resulted in the box not cooling properly which left too much moisture in the box and now the interior is rusted. GE refused to warranty the box. This is a $3, 000 to $4, 000 box, so my recommendation is buy a Viking or Thermadore as I have seen many that are functioning fine after years of use.

I will not be purchasing any GE products after this experience.

GE Money Bank is DIRTY! They have a per deim fee, that they dont tell you about. If you are late on your payment, even if its 1 day late, they charge a per deim fee which they do not tell you about. They wait until your note is up and they send you a bill usually of a large amount, like 600-1200 dollars, and threaten to repossess your vehicle if you dont pay it by the next month.
My husband and I borrowed 10, 000 dollars for a motorcycle, made every payment, some a few days late, but never months late, and at the end of our 5 year note they charge us 1200$ for the per deim fee. But on our bill where it says fees there is a 0.
They are sooo dirty, NEVER get a loan through them, and if you do, please know they charge a per deim fee for each day late.
THey have NO grace period what so ever, and dont tell you about this fee, and its not noted on your bill!
Please think twice if you want to get a loan through them.

GE Money Bank is a nightmare. We are trying to work out an arrangement for my boyfriends daughter on a dental bill. She has been paying for the past 3+ years on having 2 teeth worked on and still owes what the original amount was...how is this. We finally reached someone tonight and again, stories change with each phone call. They only have the last year in computer, can't tell you much more, can't explain why the fees keep piling up when the payment agreement is being honored. We asked about making a settlement payment agreement and they said they don't do settlements. They have made a HUGE profit on this and won't answer questions. I agree with everyone here, that a class action law suit needs to be filed. They are worse than a loan shark. We have a Penney's charge card and have had no issues, however since we now discover they are GEMB we will make sure that account is closed out and if J. C. Penney's wants to ask why, because of who they do their credit with.

I tried to make online payment at site. I was giving the choice of a minimum payment which I selected. I submitted the payment and I received a new screen saying I forgot to add the date. I added the date to the new payment page and did not notice that I had to reselect my minimum payment again. I submitted my payment, which the site took a complete payment of $1200.00 from my account. There was no following page to correct this mistake and subsequently my bank account was totally liquidated and to follow many overdraft charges. I immediately contact customer service trying to get assistance and everyone I spoke with was arrogant, uncaring and in most cases very rude. I will try to never use the credit line again and I will speak to all my friends regarding this situation. I hope GE goes under, and if so there will be no tears from me. I challenge any Rep from GE to call me and speak with me regarding this situation. I'm sure from the initial response receive by their management staff that they will ignore and of hide from any discussion with me regarding this matter. They are all very good at lying to protect their place so they can take their service and company and stick it where the sun don't shine...

e dealing with GE Money bank for years. I paid my promotion balance off and weeks later they told me I own 501.00 in debt security fees and late fee's We talked on the phone for 2 hours back and forth. I told them to prove to me that I signed up for debt security. Be cause that is something I wall would never do. Even if debt security was a1.00 a month I still would not enroll. And why would I ever agree to pay debt security 38.00 a month when my monthly payment averaged. 40.00 a month. COME ON NOW SERIOUSLY. It doesn't take a rocket scientist. To know its not worth it. Now I wrote them and they told me a team specialist will call me later that week still no phone call. And when I call the brush me off.

General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt defended the company's payment of income taxes after protesters interrupted his speech here at the SAE World Congress.

"Tax rate was 29 percent last year, " Immelt told a couple protesters at Cobo Center as they chanted "pay your fair share" a few feet from where he was speaking.

About 20 protesters scuffled with Detroit Police before they were escorted out of the building. The protestors blew whistles and attempted to enter the SAE exhibition hall, but were forcibly blocked from doing so.

GE spokesman Gary Sheffer said the company paid a 25 percent income tax rate in the United States in 2011 — and a 29 percent rate globally.

In total, GE paid $2.9 billion globally in income tax in 2011, Sheffer said.

GE said it paid a 7 percent U.S. tax rate in 2010 because it had lost $32 billion in its financial services unit and because of other tax breaks, Sheffer said. "We paid income taxes and we paid another $1 billion in taxes across the U.S. — state, local federal."

"The folks that are protesting here are unfortunately protesting based on misinformation. We did pay taxes. Our rate was lower, " Sheffer said.

Protesters said they had tried to present Immelt with a tax bill for $26.5 billion for what they asserted GE owed in back federal income taxes under the 35 percent statutory tax rate.

"Mr. Immelt, when are you going to pay the $26 billion in taxes, " asked Shyquetta McElroy, a mother of two who traveled from Milwaukee. "I pay my taxes year after year — why doesn't GE?"

Few, if any, U.S. companies pay the statutory tax rate because of various tax breaks and incentives in the tax code.

The protesters asserted that GE has become "the poster child of American corporate tax-dodging" and argued it has been paying only a 2.3 percent effective rate over the last 10 years.

Immelt joked that the protesters had given him some "good practice" for GE's annual meeting in Detroit on Thursday. The United Auto Workers union has said it is considering protesting at the meeting.

Thanks to a collection agent, I have found that I paid my entire bill in August of 2010 and had a $10.00 credit. But wait, there is more! GEMB/GECC allowed their representatives all the sudden come from India. These people had no business letting some out of country demons look at our personal information. This man called me from India, after I already paid my bill off in August, in September and told me that I made the purchase in 2010 and that I had only paid $10.00 on the account. So I get on the phone and call GEMB, and ask them about this. The CSR when I paid off the account put the amount of pay off in the wrong place. And they assured me they would fix it. Where it has been what 2 years and this was not fixed, I will not pay a collection agency what I have already paid in full. I have full accounting of the payments made on this account and also may I add that GEMB took money out of my checking account for this account without my knowledge and my okay.

It's not Lowe's that controls the credit card, it's GE MONEY BANK. This is a very shady operation that charges 24% interest. In my opinion this us usury. I have had this card for more than 5 years & found it to be OK as long as you do everything their way. I had signed up for paperless billing some time ago. I made a purchase totaling $27.00+/-. I did not receive a statement either on line or snailmail. Today I did receive an email stating that I had been charged TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS for a late payment plus a MINIMUM INTEREST CHARGE OF ONE DOLLAR. This is on top of the $27.00 balance. I have a credit score in excess of 800, or at least I had that. Now ?. I sent GE Money Bank an email with my objection to the charge. Why would someone with a very high credit score risk losing it by having a late payment? 'Nuff said.

I received a letter from a company I have done business with for years. The letter states I have a bad credit score. I want specific information why! My score is high enough to buy a condo in June! I need to hear from you why this has happened so that I may straighten this out. I pay all my bills in advance, and am current with all my creditors. I did have a problem with the IRS, last year, or the year before, but was granted a reprieve due to "Innocent Spouse". Please give me some explanation ASAP. Thanks.

I bought a G.E washer and dryer in 2005.last week I was washing clothes when I heard a very loud noise from the washing machine and discovered that the tub brackets broke and the tub fell down into the machine. I also found that the brackets broke off the tub and that it takes more money to get it fixed than buying another machine. The reason why I replaced with G.e.was that my other was a G.E. and they lasted22 yrs. I believe that the quality of G.E.washer and dryer sets are far from being satifactory and this has lead me to buy other brands from this day forth. Since I will be replacing my other appliances now, I will switch to other brands.

On January 7, 2011 I mailed GEMB two checks. One was a personal check in the amount of $73.96 to pay off a deferred interest account that expired in December. The other was a convenience check from Fifth Third Bank in the payoff amount of $1197.25 for the October 2010 deferred interest promotion due to expire in April. When I received my February statement, I noted that the bill for the larger amount was still outstanding. In the Transaction summary portion of my bill, the amount of $1197.25 was debited and listed as a “corrected payment.” I called the company and was told that there must have been something wrong with the check. I called Fifth Third and they assured me the check should have gone through and it had not been returned to them. I called GEMD again and I was told they would look into it and get back to me. I never heard from anyone again and the amount was still outstanding on my next bill. When I called this time I was told several things – the check never came; maybe there was something wrong with it; even that the check had been destroyed! They ran a search on the check after I gave them the routing number – still nothing. Finally, someone got back to me saying the check had been found. Now we’re at the month of March. The convenience check I originally sent from Fifth Third was for a special no-interest balance transfer for 18 months promotion that expired in mid-January. Not only could I now not take advantage of that promotion but I could not write another check on that account because the required funds were no longer there. That amount would take me beyond my credit limit. I called GEMB back to see what they would be willing to do since the whole situation had been due to a colossal error on their part. The best concession theywere willing to offer was no late charges and to extend the deferred interest for another six months. The way this situation was handled was reprehensible and their solution is unacceptable. To add insult to injury, on March 14 I received a copy of the original check in the mail from them!

I started out with my son co - signing for credit limit of 5, 000. Then they dropped it to 3400. Yes i was late couple times but always made payment. Then received bill with 762. 00 credit left then turned around and no credit at all then account closed by them. On top of that they are charging me 29%interest. Called them and told them they got to give in on something or else i wasn't going to pay off balance. / . / they said sorry / that's the way it is. . So guess what they can do what they want i am not paying them balance 2600 dollars and anybody that joins this company is crazy / they are rip - offs and clod bloodied. . Well hope every body sticks them and we'll see what happens.

theres a good solution, "i want a higher credit line so im not going to pay my bill!"

yah go ahead and destroy your credit (if its not already with that attitude)

if you took some responsibility to pay your payments on time, lenders would offer you lower interest rates and higher credit lines

I have one account which I have set up for an automated payment. I have been trying to add another account on. I contact them to tell then that I can't do it. So the women walked me through all steps and I was unable to get anywhere. I said I should be allowed to get into my accounts. But No I can't so I asked her if I make a payment over the phone since your site is messed up she told me I would be charges $10.00. WHY! It is not late and it will not cost them athing since I can do it from my computer on my first account FREE... This is bull ### and all needs to stop...

I have the same money problem with GE money. I opened a credit card to have some dental work done. The total amount was about 3000.00 I was told that if I paid it off in 12 months that there would be o interest applied. I did not receive a bill in the mail for 2 months. I finally was able to get in touch with them and they tolod me they had the wrong address. I told them that was their fault and asked if the late payments could be removed. My payment was suppose to be 190.00 a month and by the end of the 2 months they told me I was behind 860.00 The math just didnt add up. However since my husband had perfect credit I decided to make a deal. They told me they would credit my account 300.00 if I would agree to have payments set up for 3 months on automatic withdrawal. I did this 215.00 for 3 months. But everymoth they were still calling me and even though the money was coming out of my account late fees and interest were still piling on. 2 of my credit cards have been lowered due to them reporting my account deliquint . I called today and they told me that it was probably a new hires mistake and they were sorry but if I could pay 860.00 they would call it current.SERIOUSLY! I could not get it trhough their head that the payment s were being made. They told me there was nothing they could do about the mistake and I would have to pay the past due amounts! Crazy. I tried finding a number or email to contact the president of the company but it doesnt seem to exist. I think class action lawsuit is in store...any takers?

The owner of the business that holds the Sam's account changed her address. So Sam's/GEMB chnaged mine to the same address. My bills were sent elsewhere. Thus I did not pay them. ~09/01 numerous hang up calls from GE MONEY started. on the 7th a message said the call was about Sam's credit card. Returned call. Usual obnoxious bill collector. Verified address problem and changed it. Immediately sent check. Assured all was well, no penalties accrued. A letter of explanation would arrive shortly. Shopped Sam's on the 13th, ~$188 worth. Credit was denied. Very nice & helpful customer service called GE. Usual badly accented english said account had been closed on 09/09 and a letter would be sent explaining why. Left cart. Same day got email that that 2 of my credit reports where posted with negative info. Got a bill from Sam's on the 15th for amount of check which included an undisclosed ~$16 late fee AND $1.79 interest. Wrote immediately wrote letters to Sam's & GEMB explaining incident. 3rd credit report negatized on the 19th. On the 23rd GEMB called to say they'd get back to me within 14 days. On the 28th GEMB called again. I returned the call. After the usual BS about recording the call for quality assurance a real person answered the phone. When I told her I was also recording the call she said the aren't allowed to speak to anyone RECORDING A CALL! So a letter will be sent in 7-10 days. I have yet to receive either of the two previously promised letters. And so it continues.

The resolution dept. states there is no one higher that I can speak with regarding this matter but I refuse to believe that. Call customer service and ask for a dispute form. Its all you have to do. Unless you ENJOY paying extra for an attorney.

I recently was at the dentist office and was told that I need over $2000 in dental work. At that time, I decided to put some of it off, but did have three procedures done, totally approximately $400. I was told by their staff that I was eligible for a credit card and could put the services on the card. I declined, letting them know that I did not want a credit card, that I had my own, and that I had insurance.

Several weeks after this I receive a bill from GE Money/ Care Credit in the amount of $2545.43. Apparently the dentist office used my personal information and opened an account, AND CHARGED ME FOR THE SERVICES THAT I DID NOT EVEN HAVE DONE! If this has happened to anyone else... PLEASE CONTACT ME... I am currently working with an attorney to clear up this mess.

What a scam! Both the Dentist - Allcare and GE Money, who I presume has made Allcare an Agent!
