General Electric ge adora washer ghww8350d0ws

I purchased a Washer and Dryer in 2013 3 month after a purchased the washer it exploded, damaging the wall and the dryer. It had to be replaced. We have several repairs done to the new one since. In July of this year it started a pausing in before completing the spin cycle. We called in for a repair. They replaced parts after making two trips, leaving us to have to wash clothes at a laundry mat during that time. A week after the "repair" the washer breaks down again doing the same thing. GE takes another week to come "fix" it. "While we are washing again at a laundry mat. This time the replace more parts and fix a wire that is lose. Each time we ask about getting reimbursed they tell us the tech should leave us a repair ticket. He doesn't and we do not get reimbursed. A month and a half later. It is down again and we have to wait another week for them to schedule the repair. At what point to the replace this piece of garage. It is still under warranty until April of next year. I will never buy anything from GE again. As far as I am concern their product quality and customer service are the worst and they have lost me as a customer for ever. I will voice my opinion of GE to all of my friends and family.

We have a GE Profile microwave. If is about 5 years old. It was a replacement for another GE microwave installed in our home in May 2005. After about 5 years of our using the first microwave, the finish or coating on the top of the cooking chamber started peeling off the metal leaving small pieces of God knows what on the floor of the chamber and the...

General Electric washing mashine

My name is Mrs.Washington. I am very upset about the purchase of my GE washing machine. I have owned it for only 4 years and now it is in need of a new motor that is more than the machine original cost. It is very disappointed that the GE company do not stand behind their products. Other washing machine maker's products last longer that this time frame and I do not have these form of costly repairs in such a short time frame. This washer is rarely used, it is only my husband and I and we wash once a week. It is so rarely used the plastic is still on the machine. This is totally unacceptable. I will never buy another GE product after experiencing such horrible and disappointing experience that I am faced with. Called out GE service rep. Reschedule 5 times. Machine is still not fixed. This washing machine is not cheap! I had higher expectation of the product and company. I don't deem it necessary to give credible information. The fact that this type of post and that a review of this nature is neccesary should be enough for the company to realize the products are not up to standard of other companys and consumers feel that the product is garbarge. You want more customer make better quality machinces...Highly disappointed and upset.

General Electric ge monogram built-in 36" refrigerator

When remodeling our kitchen in 2007, we bought a built-in freezerless refrigerator, the top-of-the-line GE Monogram, model ZIRS36NMHCH. It was a splurge. It has been a disaster. From early on, it grew mold that was impossible to ever fully eradicate as it grew in crevices that were unreachable. I cannot count the times I removed everything, thoroughly cleaned all surfaces, and repeated the process a couple of months later.

We learned to live with the mold and we grew accustomed to yanking hard on the door to get it to open after closing it and quickly reopening it. Then a few months ago, we started hearing a gurgling noise that went on for a few seconds after closing the door. Occasionally, we noticed a little water on the floor. Just prior to this phenomenon, I'd had a repairman out to look at the mold and see what might be done. He told me not to expect more than 10 years' use from the GE Monogram. In his experience, they simply don't hold up. The warranty (parts only) on this mountain of moldy metal was 7 years on the sealed system. Ours expired in a big puddle on 9/17/15 almost 8 years to the date of installation (9/6/07). Thousands of dollars for what? Endless mold and a ridiculously short life. Oh, we could have it serviced for an estimated $2500. Fool us once, shame on you GE. Fool us twice...not gonna happen. So much for high-end appliances that are no longer built to last. I certainly hope GE is a better defense contractor than they are a manufacturer of appliances. Stick to war. You do not belong in the kitchen.

General Electric fire hazard

I own a GE Profile wcvh6260hww front-load washer and it has been nothing but trouble. Initially there was mold issue but then I experienced the same problem that others have reported way too frequently with GE washers.

Few days back, my wife saw fumes coming out of the washer and it started making very loud noises. All the clothes that were inside at the time have burnt smell. When my wife accidentally touched the drum while pulling out the clothes, she even got burnt on her finger. This is a major fire hazard as the clothes could have caught fire.

I contacted GE and they sent a tech for looking into it. First time, he called to cancel 30-minutes before the scheduled appointment. Then he came a week later and within 30-seconds of walking in, he said "yes, this a known problem with this model. It can be a fire hazard and Cost to repair is around $1400 so you'll better served getting a new washer". I contacted GE and even though its a known issue plaguing this model, yet they did nothing.

I have looked over the internet and it appears that this is a known issue with this model of GE profile washers and frankly I'm surprised that its not been recalled and fixed. I'm never buying a GE appliance again.

General Electric microwave mfg. defect

My father purchased a new home with GE stainless steel appliances less than three years ago. The metal on the microwave handle began bubbling and GE refuses to replace it even though it is clearly a manufacturing defect. They offered to either send a new handle, which I am told costs more to install than the cost of a new door, or they would give him a small discount so he could replace the entire door. However, he would need to find someone locally to make any installation.

He also has a GE extended warranty, but it doesn't cover the replacement.

Do not buy GE.

General Electric smoke ge front loader washer, wbvh6240fww

I have a General Electric front loader washer. I purchased washer in March 2008. I have had various problems with washer since purchase. Washer vibrates excessively no matter how you level it. The large pulley in the rear was very loose causing vibrations. Today, 7/22/2015 the washer started to smoke. It sounded like a helicopter. There a many complaints about this brand of front loader washer. This washer was made in China. I have been very disappointed about this washer for a long time. The washer walks all over my laundry area. Nothing can keep it from moving around. General Electric personnel, even though they are polite, does nothing to remedy the situation of many, many complainants. I feel that that I have been supplanted in my laudable undertakings by the lack of initiative by General Electric Company. This is the worse appliance I have ever owned.

General Electric bad seal

I purchased a GE front load washer and dryer set August 2013. Today it was diagnosed as having a bad drum seal. Of course it is out of the one year warranty. How can a large appliance company only offer a 12 month warranty on their products. This is such a shame that you spend so much money, to have it be worthless in a short time. The repair is $575. I can buy a whole new washer for about that price. I will never buy another GE product again.

I bought an Audora Dishwasher from Home Depot for about 500 dollars. it doesn't clean dishes or dry them . I have had the unit checked and they say it is fine just a design problem . I can not return the unit and Ge will not stand behind there product . It seems to me this was manufactured to sell to home depot at a certain price regardless if it could preform its function.

Purchased three appliances and submitted all the correct paperwork in May 2008. At the End of July looked it up (had no notice of denial), and saw it was INVALID. ? Dont know what that means. No phone # or explanation given. I feel cheated by GE.
Will continue to pursue this matter until satisfied. Thank you for listening.

Dishwasher was installed on 10/23/2014. Dishwasher did not take water from water source to fill the machine. GE could not immediately repair POOR SERVICE! NOW it is understandable why people do not purchase AMERICAN made products - the value is faulty - and their product is equal to the LACK of customer service!

General Electric range broke after 3 months and rep refused to repair it

I ordered electrical range from the company www.geappliances.com. My experience was awful, ‘coz the range broke after 3 months. I thought that the company would repair it, but they refused and told me that it was only my fault. It was awful, ‘coz I wasted a lot of money. As well as the warranty was completely useless. These people are scammers and liars, who take money and provide bad-quality things. Please post your comments about this company.

General Electric Frontload washing machine wcvh6800j1ww

GE frontload washing machine not worth repairing after 4 years. Model # WCVH6800J1WW has needed 3 repairs in 4 years. Water pump failed within 3 years and had to be replaced. Door seal cracked and leaked water and had to be replaced. Most recently, spider baring broke and made such a loud noise, we thought it was going to blow up. Repair guy's estimate was over $800 to fix. That's more then the cost of a new machine! Do not purchase this machine!
GE has lost another customer!

General Electric refrigerator nightmare

I purchased both a Ge profile stove and refrigerator in September of 2009. Within the first month the electronic board of my stove had to be replaced. Within the next 2 years this motherboard was replaced again.

I turned on one of the gas burners only to have one of the knobs on the stove melt. A plastic knob for a gas stove?

Flash forward just under 5 years. My GE refrigerator leaked all over my kitchen floor. I tried to set up the GE convenient method of scheduling an appointment online only to learn that this service does not apply to my location. I am not in a remote location. When I cllaed GE Customer report on that Monday, after waiting for an hour on hold I was told that the soonest an appliance repair person could get to my location was one week from the date I called. Meanwhile my freezer and refrigerator cooling system had completely failed. I spent the next 3 hours when I got home taking everything out of the freezer and refrigerator and throwing them out. I called a local appliance repair person who was able to come the next day to diagnose my refrigerator. I learned that I needed a new relay and compressor and my fridge was no good. It would cost too much to repair. i called GE and they said well it was under the 5 year warranty for a compressor but since I had another company look at it and remove a damaged part that my warranty was invalid. There is so much more to the story in attempting to get my appliance repaired, but GE won. i walked away after having spend almost $4000.00 for 2 appliances only to have to turn around and buy another in 5 YEARS. Absolutely unacceptable. RUN from EVER buying an appliance from GE unless you are comfortable wasting your time and money on these products. Good news however for GE. GE unloaded their appliances division to Electrolux so now they do not have to deal with any consumer after having sold an appliance to them.
I lost over $4000 in groceries, $200 on a minifridge while I gullibly waited for GE to fix the problem, and now 2000 on a new fridge. It is NOT GE. Please feel free to share my story to anyone looking for a kitchen appliance.

General Electric ge refused to repair defective gas range

GE 24 in. Gas Range # JGAS02SENSS - GE has refused to repair my brand new range.
I got this stove from Home Depot 12/10/13. The stove is 30 degrees hotter than it should be and the electronic ignition keeps clicking. I called to have this fixed and got sent to GE to schedule a repair.

I had to wait until 12/27/13 for a repair appointment, and I had to take a day off of work to wait for the repairman. He came and ordered 2 parts, saying they would be delivered to me and a Saturday appointment would be made for the following Saturday between 8-noon. On Saturday shortly before noon they called to cancel my appointment and said they didn't have Saturday appointments; and that I would need to take another (unpaid) day off of work to wait for repair of a brand new product.

After many calls to GE and Home Depot on 1/4/13, Home depot booked a 3rd repair appointment for repair on 1/20/14 (holiday) (despite my being told by GE this wasn't available). And to days later GE sent me an email which changed the date to Thursday 1/9/14 without even talkng to me. "Service requested for: GENERAL ELECTRIC RANGE - GAS Desired Date: Thursday, January 9 Afternoon, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. I had to go through Home Depot again to change it back to 1/20/14.

GE has failed to repair my brand new range. Today was my 3rd repair appointment in a month and the repairman refused to replace the faulty left side electronic ignition with the parts ordered by the guy from the 1st visit. He falsely claimed the problem was a reversed polarity in my outlet. I know it’s false because my licensed contractor checked that and said there was no issue. Please be aware that Home Depot cannot repair/fix anything; you must go through GE repair and they won’t repair their defective product. Just check the thousands of complaints about GE appliances on the internet.

General Electric microwave repair call

I wrote this response to GE customer service after I wrote to complain about A&E Repair

Samantha,

We were home, however, we were on the phone when the tech called. Our phone rolled to the answering machine because we were on the line. Not answering the phone doesn't mean we are not home so that excuse is invalid. When GE called to reschedule, your rep said your contractor physically went to our house and left a call tag and if they didn't then they just couldn't find the house. This is yet another excuse for the repairman not showing after we drove 200 miles, 3 hours and scheduled the repair 2 weeks in advance. As far as I'm concerned I don't owe you a call to reschedule, you owe me a visit when I'm home.

It was 4pm when I received that call and when I asked your rep to please send the repair man on out, that we were home, she said he was gone for the day, your rep just didn't give a crap and didn't want to hear that we were home, she just seemed to disbelieve me and her attitude was just one of not caring. The repair was scheduled for 8 to 5. It wasn't even 5 pm and the repairman went home? He could have made that scheduled visit to our home in that hour.

I wrote to you to let you know that you - GE are using a contractor that lies to you and is unreliable. I don't plan to call and discuss anything with anyone, I plan to review GE and this repair company via yelp, yahoo, facebook and any social medium I can use to give you the review you deserve for treating us so callously and badly. Someone not answering the phone doesn't mean they are not home, it means they are on the phone, the toilet, in the laundry room, in the garage, out in the yard and many other various things. You may want to rethink the "no answer/they aren't home" theory.

Regards,
Sharon g Martens

General Electric rusting on stainless & more

Purchased a GE stainless steel fridge in June 09. The freezer door is rusting & the ice machine is no longer producing ice. They say I need to pay for a tech to come out but I'm responsible for parts/ labor.. The rust is not covered nor will they fix the issue cause it's cosmetic. Really? Isn't that why we buy New? If it's rusting in less than 3 yrs, am I gonna need to spend a few more thousand dollars & buy another new fridge? Do you buy anything new with the hopes that it cosmetically looks like ### in a few years.. Wouldn't this be a manufacture defect cause like I understood, stainless doesn't rust. Stove now, it's 1 yr & 4 months.. Rusting & the handles are peeling. So as appalled as I am regarding these issues & nothing is getting repaired/ justified.. I now start to wonder, misleading on their statement Stainless Steel cause if stainless doesn't rust, then what are my appliances made of?!? I will NEVER purchase another GE anything & I suggest you rethink your buying plan first
A very dissatisfied customer : (. Have photos but the link is not opening.. Opps

General Electric delivery

I purchased a stainless steel refrigerator from Conn's. This was my first purchase from the company. My fridge was delivered the first time with scratches by the handle. I called the delivery service to redeliver another fridge. Another fridge was delivered two days later with scratches on the bottom portion of the fridge. The company offered a concession to keep the fridge. I accepted the concession agreement. The concession process has not begun. I have called the company four times. I've been given the run around from Carmen at Conn's delivery service. The issue has not been the resolved. The store location has not accommodated me because it is pass the 30 day return policy. DO NOT have anything delivered from Conn's. It is less of a hassle to deliver the product yourself.

General Electric lies, incompetent technician, refusal to refund my money for a work inproprely done, rudness, horrible attitude towards customers!!!

I've purchased a ge dishwasher from homedepot 1year and 4 months ago. The dishwasher started to hold (not draining water in the base creating a dead person's odor in my home. I've contacted home depot and they sent me to a&e, ge's services. So I did, when I first spoke with them they informed me that the trip for the estimate will cost me $75.00 which will be waived if I choose them to continue with the service. Technician ran the dishwasher, set in front of it and established that a sping was stuck and that is nothing else wrong with it. He had handed me a bill for $123.00 which he said will incorporate the $75.00. When I mentioned what I was told to him he stated that it is not true. So i've handed the payment to him. 4 days later I am running the dishwasher and later on in the day, when i've opened the door the same dead person odor just hit me, is when I realized the problem was not repaired. I calle a&e factory and explained the issue, my call became escalated to the agent julie, who wasn't able to assign a technician to return for another 10 days.
I became stressed at that time when I realized that I won't be available for their time and had clearly explained that I need someone asap. Their asap meant 10 days later, not only that but I was very meanly told that they are not going to send someone out as an emergency because this is not an emergency. Very unprofessional, liars, a diabolic attitude towards, and at that point I decided to request my payment which lead to another nightmare waisting 1/2 day of my time. She told me they will call me back in 2 business days which they did not. I had to call them, when I was speaking with the billing department I was told by agent julien in an aggresive way that I would only receive back $48.00 they will not return my money for the repair which laid as a result the same problem in my kitchen, same problem not being fixed at all.
It was my right to refuse to pay for this nightmare circustance to refuse to wait so long for them to have an available technician to return to fix my problem under my circustances. They were practicing a power of control attitude and vocabulary over me, and I refused to accept nor to be treated like that by anyone in the customer service. I've advised them that I will make open the claim with better business bureau, post my case on the complaints page.
To everyone out there - from the heart of my hearts we humans should never have to be exposed to such terroristic
Customer service treatments, lies, incompetent, unavailable, unpleasant, plain and simple discussting behaviour, they are simply radiating the abusive, fraudulent, incompetent horrible attitude towards us, at least me.
Based on all the complains i've read on this page, these knights should not even exist they should not cheat, lie and comming fraud towards simple, in need customers of good service. This was one of the worst dark experiences of my life.
I feel like vomiting right now after today's ordeal just tired and exhausted and entirely discussted.

General Electric adora front loader washer and dryer

I have the same issues and my clothes smell really bad (Like mold!) I have followed all the troubleshooting advice from GE and other owners of this piece of crap and NOTHING works! Now the matching dryer wants to spin only when it wants to, and for as long as it wants to. I am a recently divorced single mom, and I can't afford a new system. I also work and go to college full time and I do not have time to take my laundry to a laundry mat or friend's/family's house to do laundry. I guess after reading everything I have read on these pieces of crap. I am just going to have to go to a used appliance repair shop and buy a used old fashioned top loader. This sucks!
