I am writing a complaint about the Greendot owned Go2Bank and their inability to conduct business as advertised. Most poeple using prepaid banking services by orginizations like Greendot bank or Greendot owned Go2Bank are doing it because we cant get a regular bank account at the bigger more well known banks out there. that is the case for me as well. This bank has wrecked me in a matter of 5 or 6 months. I have come to the conclusion that nothing will ever get resolved with their sub par customer service representatives that speak a different language altogether but answer their phones and are in charge of our livelihood and finances. I have been double and triple charged by them on numerous occasions and spent dozens of hours on the phone with their reps as well as their chat service to get absolutely nothing accomplished. I live in the most expensive city in America and I live on a week to week basis and need every red cent I make to barely get by. they have been ripping me off since I joined in march and they give no way for me to cross reference my statement with the money they are overcharging me. None of the numbers from the retailers match their numbers and you can not speak to a person at their customer service number without lying or saying your card was lost or stolen and when you do that you get a different story from people you can barley understand every time you call. I was refused when I asked for a manager or supervisor and told there was not one available on several occasions as well as put on indefinite hold when the could not answer the simple questions I had. This has lead to fee's not only from them for overdrafts when my account was on the positive side according to their application at the time of the overdraft but late fees from the companies I had on autopay every month also. Additionally, they get around the issues by telling you that noting can be done while the payment is pending and say you have to wait for it to not be pending for them to tell you at that point that it had to be escalated to a different department or you can file a dispute by mail to try and recover money that should not have been taken in the first place. This has led to my homelessness and loss of residence this month and then you spend the rest of your life trying to resolve it but still get charged the overdrafts and have to move on with your life living outside while they give you the 7 to 10 business day excuse for a refund but thats after the 5 days the first escalation took and the god knows how many times you had to call while being put on indefinite hold or hung up on and the amount of time it took and postage to get it to them through snail mail. I need every penny of my hard earned money right away and dont have time for their subpar professionalism and antics. they will spend more time responding to this complaint than I have got them to spend resolving the issues since march when I joined. they are a complete joke. A complete sham and sombody over there is padding their pockets nicely and you cant get pass the foreign call center level where you get a different story every time you call other than hurry up and wait. I dont even want a response from them. their meaningless "I apologize for the inconvience that ive heard 1000 times with nothing resolved or changed is why they got sued twice in the last 10 years and is what they need again. I am stalemated with nothing else I can do while they continue to take my money with no way for me to go back and look for discrepancies and when I got fed up they refused to send records of phone calls as well as bank statements on paper so I could do so. I am a call center manager by trade and know the laws and I know they have recordings of all the lies by all the different reps there on every call I have made and if you had a chance to hear the (rubbish and im trying to be nice) atrocities I have heard and excuses and lies by their so called customer service department, you would be outraged. Do not use this bank. It is a complete joke and you will loose money and your mind trying to fix it..
Desired outcome: Closure of go2bank owned by GreenDot. Refunds for every overdraft and double and triple chrages as well as 400 deposit on prepaid credit account and reimbursement for other companies late fees and my homelessness.
